The hotel was under construction, limited seats for breakfast, there was only one elevator working. Stayed in the 3rd floor, woken up by construction men giggling and yelling outside our door at 7:00 am. The shower drainage took forever to drain. Otherwise the women at the check in counter were nice and friendly.

The hotel was being remodeled when we visited, but they put us on the 10th floor so we would not hear any of the construction. The room we were in was newly remodeled, and very clean. My only complaint was the road outside was very noisy, and hated having to pay an additional $37 a day to park, when anyone (non hotel guests,) could park there for only $20. Other than that it was a totally fine stay, we felt safe, it was clean, and the breakfast was good.

This place was perfect for the weekend. It was perfect for what we needed especially with the Eagles parade happening. Only downside was finding a straight pin in my pillow. Plus the Hot water was lacking and we really didn't have it until Saturday morning! Not a joke at all!

The key card system was down and security person was needed to take you to your room to let you in. They were accommodating with that, but it was a hassle feeling like you couldn't just come and go in and out of the room. Also, it was 28 degrees outside and the Heat was totally turned off in my room. It took more than a couple hours to get the temperature up to a comfortable level. Also, the bathroom could have been cleaner.

I did love the view from my room and the first person I encountered at the front desk was very accommodating. What I didn't like was the place could use a good steam cleaning. The floors were in need of a thorough cleaning and there was debree everywhere on the floor I resided on.

There was a parking attendant to help with parking arrangements. Front desk very helpful in suggesting cheesesteak restaurant (Tony and Nick's Steak) and also ordering pizza and wings (City View Pizza) Both great suggestions. Pier across the hotel, great place to relax by the water in the evenings, amazing Taco food truck towards the back of the pier . Walking distance to the Liberty Bell and to the Franklin Park (15 minutes walk) Clean rooms, updated rooms. Breakfast was hot and restocked as needed

The room smelled musty, the curtains and shower curtain had mold on them, the carpet was not clean and parts of it was sticky. During the day, the construction work was very loud. Overall, this was an uncomfortable stay.

Just ok. Breakfast offering better than another hotel of same chain in a different state. Come early when breakfast starts for less people. Coffee maker in room not working. Bathtub in room miniscule, bathroom not clean and needed updating. Had view of bridge, but very noisy and heard gunshots in middle of night. Just ok for a sleepover when continuing trip elsewhere but would not stay here for the price again.

2 night stay. Nice room overlooking the river. Clean & comfortable. Had an issue with the toilet which was a problem throughout the stay. Super convenient to Penns Landing, and many other attractions, with safe and walkable/runable sidewalks. Complementary breakfast offered plenty of hot & cold items, tho the pancake machine was out of order. The only issue was the traffic noise. All night. The hotel sits right on the interstate, the bridge to NJ, and the surface street. Wife had no problems, but as a light sleeper, i got very little little sleep. Overall a nice stay, and would absolutely stay again, tho I'd bring earplugs next time.

As you can tell by the title, this a follow up to her view I posted back at the end of March. This time I had a room which was on the newly renovated upper floors. The room was SPACIOUS! I could easily have done gymnastics in the space that the room. The bed was comfortable and the renovations turned out really well. I highly recommend if you are traveling with your partner or by yourself to get one of the king rooms. The front desk staff was extremely helpful and kind (even to people who came in with a sense of entitlement). They had anything I happened to request at various times throughout my stay. I also love that the hotel is just a simple walk away from the Riverlink Ferry which is great if you’re gonna go see a concert in Camden. The only sort of issue was the shower taking longer than usual to heat up but after about a good minute, it would get there.

check in was great, staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Room was spacious and we had a great view of the river and bridge. The only slight complaint I would say is that they had no curtains in the room, only a see through shade which caused too much light in the room in the morning. The breakfast was great. I would stay here again.

The heater was so loud, in a newly renovated room, that it woke both of us up when it went on several times during the night. Very aggravating! The other drawback was the noise from the highway, which didn’t make for a restful night. Otherwise, the staff was very accommodating and friendly, and the property looks fresh.

Our stay occurred during some ongoing renovations occurring at the property. Upon arrival, we were pleasantly greeted by hotel staff and were promptly provided key cards for parking and our room. We stayed one night and were out early enough to not be impacted by any noise from the construction. We stayed on the 9th floor (room 918, City View) and generally the room was clean and well taken care of. The two negatives, one being a minor inconvenience, that we experienced during our stay was that the TV was outdated (not a smart TV) and the constant noise from traffic passing on the highway. We checked the window several times to make sure that it was fully shut and ultimately determined that the STC rating of the window was either inadequate and/or the caulk around the opening was failing allowing extra noise to pass through. Ultimately the noise prevented me and my partner from having a pleasant night's rest. The stay did include a free breakfast that we opted not to indulge in.

We had a view of rhe Benjamin Frankin Bridge and the Delaware River from our room which was really fun! It is close to Old City Philadelphia and lots of dining options and shops. Also close to the water front. The room was pretty basic, a bit on the smaller size. The decor and carpet were a bit dated, but it was clean and the beds were comfy. The staff were all very nice. A great stay for the price!

It's a lovely hotel with a friendly staff. Clean and convenient. HOWEVER! Bring your earplugs! Even though we were on the 7th floor, the noise from I-95 was astonishing. Think of aerial bombardment on a bagpipers' convention.

2nd time I’ve stayed here in 2 weeks: first time I stayed the fire alarm went off twice in the middle of the night. The hotel did apologize and refund for the inconvenience. When staying this last time, 2 nights ago; I had to go downstairs once as well as call from my cell phone to the front desk once (phone isn room did not work) to complain about partying noises in the room next to me. They claim they spoke to them both times. Again, at 2am this continued on. Nothing was done. Upon checking out, after having breakfast and half of the food was gone and not replaced, I let the front desk know about my stay. I told them I came back like they had asked me to, to give them a second chance but I would not be back again. I was told, “we’re sorry to see you leave”. I contacted hotels.com to let them know what occurred. They contacted the hotel directly and the hotel refused to give any type of refund. I am baffled by this considering I’ve now stayed twice in 2 weeks and tried to give them a second chance. I do not recommend this hotel. If your not going to take care of your customers, listen to their concerns or even act like you care; why are you in the hospitality business.

All the staff were so friendly and nice. The front desk were quick to deal with inconsiderate guests and had security go to their room and called them etc. The buffet was very nice and tasted good. I like there’s security swipe in with key card on the front door and elevator so no one can come into the hotel who is not a guest. Housekeeping helped us and we’re so nice and quick on the phone because we left 2 pillows there. Honestly, the staff ( parking, cleaning, front desk, security) were the nicest I have some across ever.

The hotel was fine. Just fine. Nothing spectacular. Mostly clean, but could use some updating. What is frustrating is that I’m fairly certain I left my wallet in the room/at the hotel and can’t seem to get anyone to check lost and found or have anyone return my phone calls regarding my lost wallet. Terrible customer service.

The front desk staff was not able to provide explanations when I questioned the bill amount compared to what I expected. They just kept saying it was the parking fee and taxes. I asked for a detailed receipt and compared it for them to my expedia receipt. It took 10 minutes of me doing basic math for them and showing the documentation to correct their mistakes. They were not friendly or gracious during any of this.

I did not like that when I checked in and was given my room number and key card that when I went up to my room and opened the door I interrupted a man just finishing going to the bathroom. I was traumatized. I immediately went back downstairs to tell the desk clerk what happened. I was presented with a "That\'s unfortunate." to which I respond..."Yes it was" I was given a new room and key card. I have NEVER had this happen. I am sick over it. . I spoke to management when I checked out. They responded with a "Yes, I heard about that." Really??????? Why did NO ONE come to me and say, "Oh my god, I am so sorry this happened. Are you okay? What can we do to help?" NO one did this. I wanted to leave and go someplace else. I wanted to walk out and actually never stay in a hotel again. Holiday Inn Express....I am very disappointed!

This hotel is always clean; our room was quiet and comfy. Trying to walk from here to Penn's Landing isn't the best, as the sidewalks are overgrown with trees. Best to walk north, cross the highway, then walk south. Like that our car is in a lot -- easy and convenient -- rather than in a garage.

My wife and I stayed here as part of an east coast history tour. I worried at first in the planning phase of how we were going to get around to each of the different sites, since driving really wasn't convenient and this hotel was on the outskirts. However once we got there and reviewed our plans it turned out great. Most everything is within walking distance and using the Phlash was easy, cheap and convenient. We felt safe and the area was nice. We stayed on the 10th floor facing the river and it was beautiful especially the view of the Benjamin Franklin Bridge. They even had fireworks one night in Penn's landing that we could see from our room. A few cons: They charge $35 a night parking (no prorating) so if you get there at 11pm you pay $35 :( Also the water heater must be on the lower floors, because we were told in order to have hot water in your shower or bath you needed to turn on the hot water and let it run for 5min's to get the hot water up to our floor. This proved to be correct! If you didn't wait you got a luck warm shower. Other than that the staff were very nice and helpful and helped us find a near by gas station and laundry mat. I would recommend B&Y which is just down the road.

Didn’t really know what to expect booking this hotel in a city that I’m completely unfamiliar with, but glad I did. All of the historical sites we wanted to visit are easily walked to. The only negative thing I can say about this hotel is the noise from the multi lane highway right behind it.

I've stayed here four times. It's near historic sites with public transportation at the door. Restaurants and bars are within a block. My room had views of the yacht basin, lighted bridges, and illuminated buildings across the river. Breakfast is a full American style, and coffee and tea are available 24/7, including in-room machines. The rooms are nice despite ongoing renovations on different floors, there was no noise disturbing me. Lastly, the hotel promptly resolved an issue with my bank releasing my deposit hold.

The staff was very courteous and helpful. The breakfast was legit! Not just a few things but a full breakfast with eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, pancakes, cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, etc. Beds were comfortable and the rooms were quiet.
