Very close to the Beach , room has no air conditioning and was very warm . Parking is tight , no breakfast as stated.

They are currently painting the property and it looks like they are repairing the overall look to the outside.

The hotel has not been updated in years. Towels old and bare not matching. Tv internet spotty always buffering. Ice machine broken and window screen torn. Soap was tiny and didn’t lather up. Only good thing was the lady working in the office she was nice and helpful.

Great location. Wish rooms were cleaner, and more fans accessible for people staying. Customer service aspect, we had to wait for someone to come and help us. We called and no one answered, open sign was posted on door but no one was inside, no sign stating they would return shortly. Quite a bit frustrating when your trying to check in.

Parking was an issue. The guest were a bit loud but its basically a party area. Great location! Beach two blocks away. The hotel was a bit run down but had it's charm. My only comlaint was parking and a not so great running toilet, a plugged tub and no A/C. Otherwise friendly staff and great location. don't expect the Marriot, it has an old beach charm to it.

The facility is somewhat run-down. It definitely needs repairs throughout the outside of it- many repairs needed. There was no one at the front desk for over 15 minutes during "breakfast time". They had run out of coffee, juice (not "real" OJ), and bagel topping. Couldn't find anyone till the housekeeper came and replenished these things. The inside of my room has been adequate: clean, has most things needed, including amenities; except too few towels.

Location is good. Property is bad. Nothing for guests to break because almost everything is very broken.

Decent stay & room, comfy bed, nice continental breakfast options. Property as a whole, especially all exteriors & broken window screens, feels unsafe & dated & is run down, needing serious renovations & better upkeep.

The photo on Expedia shows the hotel with a beach front which is totally incorrect. It is a worn piece of property several blocks away from the beach. Very deceitful. The dresser and the chairs looked like worn out garage sale items. I refused to sit in the chair. There was a broken door lying in the hallway next to our door. The ceilings were cracked as well as walls. I refused to use the bathroom as the floor was dirty and bath was dirty as well. The bed may have been clean but didn’t want to chance a good nights sleep. There was no refund policy as it passed but I still chose to go to another hotel and had a great experience there. Expedia needs to verify this site and verify reviews

This is a horrible property and the owners overcharged for booking on a third party site. In the middle of the night, the battery for fire alarm went dead and caused the unit to trip with ear piercing shrills. The ice machine is dead and seems they have no urgency in providing ice. The room was dirty with sand on the floor. The TP ran out. All the front office gave was lip service. The parking worked. The location wasn't bad.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience in hopes it helps both future guests and hotel management. While the check-in process was smooth and the staff were funny and polite, the condition of the room was extremely disappointing. From the moment I walked in, it didn’t feel clean and unfortunately, that first impression held true throughout our entire stay. There was visible issues with everything in the room and outdated and corroded and extreme rust on many surfaces, and it was clear there hadn’t been any meaningful upkeep in quite some time. The shower was particularly unsettling—it looked and felt unhygienic, and I didn’t feel comfortable using it. The towels were old, stained, and did not smell fresh, and the pillows were old and lacked any sense of comfort. Fixtures throughout the room were disgusting and that is being nice - the painting had a nail through it, we were given one plastic hanger, of the 6+ outlets in the room, only one was able to charge our iPhones. The sink was disgusting and so were the drawers Cleanliness is such a basic expectation for any hotel stay, and sadly, this missed the mark entirely. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and makes the necessary improvements—this hotel has potential, but without proper care, it’s hard to recommend.

STAY AWAY. This is a terrible place. The room was filthy and had a strange musty odor. There were black marks on the walls, and the bathroom door looked as though someone had tried to cover dirt with paint. The shower temperature control handle fell off. The kitchenette sink faucet was so corroded that water spouted out the side. The mattress cover had 2-3” round brown stains on it I’m concerned that I have bed bugs now despite the place saying they have a rigorous bed bug prevention protocol. I’ve stayed in some sketchy spots but this takes the award for the worst.

The room was dirty, most things were broken and several bugs were found in my bag upon returning home. I would never stay here again for love nor money. The only positive side of this stay was the staff and leaving.

The wooden blinds would not stay open and the window ledge looked like it had been chewed by a dog. The floor was filthy & I have socks to prove it. Look at the pictures, they speak volumes. The room had one good thing…a new TV & the desk people were friendly, but the motel was the worst ever.

Don’t book here. Pictures are deceiving. Old outdated. Only one electric outlet worked. No heat or air conditioning. Extra fees charged for nothing. Tub has moldy jacuzzi vents. Extension cords on floor. Staff would not give enough towels for us. Sheets had stains. Free breakfast set up on 1 by 4 foot table. No eating area. No beach view.

This hotel is horrible. The beds were lumpy. The shower was dirty. It had no fire alarm. The service attendant was rude and not at all helpful. We booked and paid for 4 guests but only received two towels and one shampoo and conditioner. It has no air conditioner and only a noisy fan that you are required to use to ensure room does not get stuffy. The window had no screen so even if we had wanted to open the window to let in a breeze it was not safe to do so. I am very disappointed, especially since this was a birthday trip with my 88 year old mother. Will never stay here again.

The rooms were disgusting. The bathtub was held together by black duct tape. Multiple walls were filthy and stained. Happy to check out and leave. The front desk manager was pleasant and helpful.

A bit run down. There is no AC and to get fresh air into the room you have to have the windows open which look directly out to where everyone is walking and anyone can see in. They provide fans but we had to go buy another more powerful one to really get some airflow. The water pressure was substandard. However, the staff was very helpful and friendly and the location was really why we stayed there. We really liked that the had a mini fridge

The location is desirable but parking is very limited. People and vehicles moving around were very noisy. The room was clean but run-down and showed lots of wear. Jacuzzi tub didn't work.

I purchased a room with a jacuzzi but got a room with a spa bath. The shower head didn’t work and the knob to turn cold to warm was very hard to turn, I struggled with it. Pictures online do not look like what was booked. Room was about 500 feet from the beach which was great! No room service, no bath essentials. Just a room that hasn’t been updated at all.

Very ran down. No a/c, 2 towels for a family of four, jets in bathtub didn’t work and a knob was missing, handle on dresser was missing and our window didn’t lock closed.

The location is fantastic. I was in room 100, which has a jacuzzi tub. The tub was ok. The bolt on the door is blocked from locking. I literally have a chair stuffed under the door handle. There are no knobs on the drawers, screw sticking out of a cabinet door as a “handle”, no washcloths, etc. It’s not fancy, which is fine, but it’s also not maintained at all. It is a less expensive place and it feels like it.

Just... manage your expectations. It's not a "nice" place, but it's alright. It was sufficiently clean and comfortable; but it's just an old place that needs some maintenence and updating I guess. Staff was very nice! I'm not sure it's worth $200 a night... I'm in not sure if we will stay again. Location is great for walking to several places to eat and the beach though! No AC in the room, so we definitely won't be staying there later in the summer as we were already quite warm in the room no, in April. We were charged an additional $25 for taxes when we checked in.

The property itself is run down but quiet and comfortable if you don’t mind the general state of disrepair. The problem is that the owner seems content with the fact that nothing works. When we checked in, we were informed there was a problem with one of our two rooms - the electronic key card wasn’t working. Their solution? Call the son of the woman working the front desk to BREAK IN THROUGH THE BACK WINDOW. So this poor man shows up with a ladder and proceeds to… break into the wrong room. So then the poor couple in the room next to us is startled to have a man climbing through their bathroom window. Eventually, he gets into our room and unlocks it from the inside. However, then we STILL don’t have a key to the room. The front desk lady suggests we just leave the door propped open when we leave because “it’s a super safe neighborhood.” Bear in mind this is the same person who just asked her son to break in through the back. At no point did anyone think to offer us even a partial refund. To the extend they acknowledged anything was even problematic about the situation, they blamed everything on the owner, who apparently couldn’t be bothered. At one point, the front desk staff told me she might just walk off the job, and I wouldn’t blame her. I do believe the staff did the best they could, but this place isn’t equipped to provide basic standards of service. You should be able to provide a key with a door that locks, or make up to guests for the inconvenience.

When I booked the property it said it had a rating of 12/10. I don’t mind an older property but the pictures show the hotel on the sand and very clean. The pictures are not accurate. The hotel is new to card keys and the keys didn’t work all the time. We had four rooms and had to get keys fixed everyday we were there. The staff is not always in the office so at one point we had to wait for the office manager to return to get our keys fixed and enter our room.

It was great, Location, Room and the Staff. They bent over backwards to make sure we had everything we needed. Also met the owner, and what a great guy., Very approachable and Kind. All in All was a great experience!!

I reserved a room because I had to check in at the hospital very early morning and did not want to drive three hours that morning. I drove down after work, arriving late at night, no one was in the lobby and a note was on the door that said Welcome please call phone number. I called several times with no answer and the voice mail was full so unable to leave message. I even text the number. I ended up having to find a different hotel that night. The next day I received a message saying We do apologize. We can give you credit I’m sorry I should get a full refund!!

I was asked to pay more than $10, as instructed by Expedia. If the hotel has issues with payment, they need to figure this out directly with Expedia.

Tried checking in and no one was able to give us they keys to our room. We had to leave and booked a different spot.

It was a good stay. Location is great. Close to beach and plenty places to eat and drink.

Don’t stay here it’s a joke! This place was awful didn’t even stay 10 min in the room!!!! We left checked out asap .. The pictures online are photoshopped, it’s down the street from the beach pictures show it right on the beach. You walk in the room there’s so many holes in the walls it feels like your being video recorded, they have a cabinet with Ethernet cables falling out probably surveillance for the room . The bed was so stained it was gross.. they won’t refund my money I pre paid, maybe they can use it to buy a new bed and sheets! The bed was as bad as the rest of the place you sink to the floor it’s so old! Pubic hairs in the tub, the little fridge was repaired by “I can do it cheaper” had rust 😬 thought I was gonna get Tetanus. The plug next to the tub in the room is a shock hazard not up to code & broken this place doesn’t take any pride in the upkeep . I should have stuck with my gut instinct and stayed away from this place! Motel 6 looked nicer as I drove off .

This hotel was a block away from a beach and many restaurants along the way. There’s a liquor store across the street with lots of micro brews and sours to choose from. The hotel room was nice, but I would add more fruits to the continental breakfast to round out the spread.

This was the WORST motel I've EVER stayed at. I should've booked Motel 6. Room wasn't ready; no face towels or wash cloths; no bagels or anything decent for breakfast, sour milk, stale mini-muffins. The title and discription is misleading. There are no 'beach cottages' and the image used for 'beach front view' is approx 2 blocks away. The picture of the 'breakfast' is misleading: no waffle iron ... and according to front desk ... not for a long time ... not just recent OOS. I chose this property because of the beachfront and waffle breakfast! And when asked about the promotiom picture, breakfast pic, pic of the beach and 'cottages', the reception guy was rude, the guy says 'dude-you're at the beach'. Not really ... Plus the dozen-ish ppl in adjacent public pkg lot in evening either doing drugs or an AA meeting. Security car watching. Had trouble sleeping... something biting at my legs in the bed ... maybe sand fleas from my walk on the sand ...? I described the Shore and Cottages beach pic to receptionist at another hotel on the beach.. she said they often get guest arrivals mistaking their property for Shore. This has been going on for some time. Expedia is partly responsible. Needs to monitor its listings. I am a frequent, easy traveler.

very good location, felt safe. Short walk to beach and lots of eateries within the block. The property itself was run down and looked shabby, but the room was clean. Mattress was poor. Staff were very attentive and friendly. Breakfast was donuts and was not ready until after 9am. no coffee or hair dryer in room. I would stay again for location and price.
