The hotel is in a great location for the beach and a short walk into the town centre. Great (warm) outdoor pool. The rooms (not in the hotel, we were in a small apartment building near the outdoor pool area) are a little worn, some refurbishment would greatly improve.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel, the staff were very attentive and always happy to help, the bed was huge and one of the most comfortable I ever slept in! We paid extra for sea view and didn’t disappoint, it was absolutely stunning to just wake up to the sound of waves and nothing but sea in sight. The breakfast buffet was nice, and the outdoor pool area a lovely addition- I would definitely stay there again!

Excellent hotel. Had a wonderful breakfast, lovely time in the swimming pool. However the next morning it was closed. The only thing that doesn't make sense is that check in is at 4pm and check out is at 12 pm. So one is not even paying for full days stay compared to the majority of hotels in the area.

One of the worst places we have stayed in terms of value for money ever. Breakfast choice and quality was average at best. The property very dated on the outside. There was a lot of noise at night from outside.and.adjoining rooms, so ddinot sleep well. Indoor pool was closed. Outdoor pool very small for kids to really enjoy. Only plus side was room size was decent and the location of property.

The view from our room overlooking the channel was fantastic, and it could have been the highlight of a luxury experience. However, several issues detracted from the intended stay. While the lady at reception during check-in was polite, she lacked warmth, leaving a somewhat disappointing first impression. Parking was not available on-site upon revival (council ticket instead). The room, advertised as a "junior suite with sea view" for three people, had surprising oversights: no towel rack and no toilet brush. Such basic amenities are expected at this level of service. Housekeeping was inconsistent, happening on only two out of four days. We had to explicitly request it to have coffee supplies replenished and the bathroom given a basic clean. This occurred while we were in the room late in the afternoon, making the timing less than ideal. Additionally, we observed that coffee mugs were cleaned in the bathroom sink using hand soap and warm water, then dried with towels—a distinctly unprofessional approach. The breakfast buffet was substantial if you were particularly hungry, but charging extra for specialty coffee (£22 per person for the buffet, coffee not included) felt excessive. Additionally, the room catering menu had a limited selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, which seemed incongruous for such a prestigious hotel. In conclusion, you pay first class and get second class delivered.

The location of the property was quite good but everything else was awful. I was housed in the cottages and they were awful. Expected more from the Marriott even if it was a 4*. It was dirty and old. Bath had mould, furniture old and worn. Would not recommend especially for the price paid.

My husband and I booked a room at the Marriott for a weekend break over the May bank holiday. The room was okay but did not look like what we thought we had booked. We were given a room in another building other than the main building which was a disappointment. Initially we were told the wifi was complementary but then told on arrival that in order to get free wifi I would have to sign up to the mailing list which I did. The view from our room wasn’t great as it was in the corner and of a wall with the paint crumbling off. The very same window looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks as there were dead and dried up spider and other insects stuck to the cobwebs on the curtains and widow frame. There was left over food under the bed which makes me think that the rooms aren’t cleaned properly.

Property was in great location especially for BIC and beach. Reception staff excellent but our main concern was with the restaurant - on Sunday they had no water and unable to make tea or coffee even though they had bottles of water. Breakfast plates were cold and cutlery and crockery dirty. We stayed in a supposed deluxe cottage - view was fabulous but room is dated - cobwebs behind radiators and on windows, part of tap missing, toilet doesn’t flush properly and shower in bath at wrong angle and has shower curtain and just feels generally outdated.

I did not get the room I had prepaid for and was placed in the annexe, which is a walk across the car park, in open, past the Thai Restaurant Kitchen back doors, then to a small door which has seen better days. The rooms look down on air conditioning units, and kitchen extractor fans. The rooms seem to be on top of the Thai Restaurant below. All of which are noisy through the night. Noise insulation between rooms is bad, with TV and conversation easily heard from next door. f you have to stay here ensure you do not get put in the annexe, it will ruin your nights sleep. There are lots better hotels in Bournemouth that wont put you in an annex with views of the kitchen and Thai Restaurant extractor fans.

The room was clean and spacious, unfortunately the room next to us and in front of us of were very noisy and keep slamming the room door even after 12am. The breakfast was great and the family enjoyed that. It was also strange that we had to walk through the car park to get to another building where our room was.overall our stay was average.

Staff very nice. Room clean with nise sea view as advertised. Wife is a Blue Badge holder and they reserved a parking space for us. Only gripe is it's supposed to be a 4 star hotel but it didn't have a Smart TV. I brought this up and the receptionist apologised and said they were in the process of upgrading the TVs to SMART, but were currently doing the unoccupied rooms. Otherwise would've given 5 stars for our experience.

We booked the family room for a group of 5. The setup was a large king size bed, double sofa bed and a single foldable bed. The king size bed was lovely to sleep on. The single bed could not be used as it was so bad, the floor was a more comfortable space to sleep. The sofa bed is probably the worst sofa bed I have slept on. The mattress had no support and I ended up with back pain every morning. I mean I have an Ikea sofa bed, average priced one and that is 1000 times better than this sofa bed. The bathroom is lovely with very functional monsoon shower head. It was clean and spacious. Parking is convenient and you will find a space always. It is a safe parking area. Check in was quick but no one showed us to our room. That was a let down. I have always stayed in good quality hotels and usually they show you to your room. Was not easy to find but we managed. The pool was meant to open in 1st May and being a very warm day, a lot of quests wanted to get a morning swim in. We were told they open at 8. When we got there the pool was still being sorted out, chemical balance or something. My thoughts and others were why didn’t you get the pool sorted a day or two before to iron out any issues. A huge let down there. Overall, a good hotel and well located. It’s better than most but at the same time for the premium price paid, more was expected. Staff around the hotel are lovely and friendly. Genuinely seemed nice. We would probably use again at some point.

Lovely hotel and friendly staff. The quality of breakfast could be improved and staff were struggling to keep up with demand at busy times. Rooms were in good condition, although the age of the building meant we could hear people taking and moving around in the rooms above and below. 4pm checkin feels far too late, although our room was ready sooner and we checked in on arrival. Overall a pleasant stay.

Unfortunately having been a guest several years ago we found the hotel was certainly not of the same standard. The public areas looked tired and needed a refresh , the service in the bar and restaurant was slow when busy there didn’t seem to be enough staff! On the plus point the bedrooms had been renovated and were very good.

I was having breakfast and A staff member wouldn’t let me leave the restaurant before I paid when you usually pay at checkout. She chased me as I was leaving the restaurant and made me feel like a thieve. On top of that, the staff at the reception made my wife pay a second time for the same breakfast! Then we had to go back and forth to prove that we had already paid and obtain a refund! Outrageous!

Unfortunately checkin was not good. I had arrived 40 mins before 4.00pm but the room was not ready, so we went for a drink in the bar in. We went to get a drink in the bar and wait. But as we approached 4.00pm, the reception area was full of guests and the queue was very long. By this time it was well past 4.00pm and so by 4.30pm I joined the queue where eventually I managed to check in. This was by no means any member of staff’s fault, as they were working to full capacity. My observation would suggestion that the late check in time does not allow any steady flow of guests thereby producing this massive surge at around 4.00pm which lead to a rather frustrating and fraught check in for both staff and guests. I wasn’t too impressed with the entrance to the rooms via the car park and small area for the lift to floors or the view of dilapidated buildings to the sides of the car park and by the time I reached my room, I was by then understandably unsure of what I would find inside my allocated room. However I was very pleasantly surprised. The room with its two double beds was a good size and very clean. Beds really comfy. Breakfast very nice, plenty of choice. Location of hotel great for the sandy beach within a five minute walk.

Great location with panoramic views. The staff were very friendly and went out their way to make our Anniversary 3 night stay enjoyable. The location may be a little challenging for people who may have limited mobility but this can be overcome.

Inside the hotel is nice, but outside looks tired and run down, breakfasts were often waiting for items to be replenished, with limited options for children especially the really thin cold pancakes, reception staff were pleasant but found the bar staff a little offish, pool was nice and warm with free towels provided and friendly staff to assist, overall nice but could be so much better.

The menu in Brasserie Blanc had a good choice and the food was very well prepared and tasty. The BB staff were very pleasant and courteous both at dinner and at breakfast. The reception staff were very helpful. The room was very comfortably with excellent views of the sea and pier. It was very handy that the West Cliff lift is straight outside the front door of the hotel. It made an interesting route to the beach promenade.

The room was great, sea view, very clean. We had to ask for extra bedding for the sofa bed. We asked for two glasses of tap water from bar but no plastic glasses?? The same bar, different staff member, gave us a glass the next day with no issue at all. No veggie option for sandwiches on the menu and bar staff refused to ask chef if it was possible. Disappointing food menu.

Lovely hotel with sea view, beautiful room and so clean, staff are very friendly and helpful, loved the hotel being so close to the beach, breakfast had a good selection of food and so lovely we ate outside enjoying the sea view, the restaurant Brassierre Blanc was also lovely, the food was very good, only thing I would complain about is how long each course it took to come out, we had to wait 45 mins just for our starter after having the nibbles, then another very long wait for the mains etc, it took 2 half hours in total just for the two of us and most of that time was waiting for all the courses, other than that a great stay, thank you

Very clean generally smart hotel. Big room with fabulous sea view. Great bathroom, nicely furnished. Superb cliff top position. Downsides….. £15 to park on top of the room rate is frankly extortion Bar service on Saturday night was very slow and the bar person couldn’t even manage please and thank you. Breakfast was chaos. Freezing cold baked beans, constant wait for eggs with no sign of a chef. Hot drink service very slow and was told we would have to pay for a second coffee. Needless to say we didn’t
