Check in was really easy and convenient. You can tell the property is a little older, but our room was massive. We had a gorgeous view of the river right outside our room. I wish we could've gone on a trip on the local paddle boat, but they have scheduled trip days and hours that didn't correspond with our trip. The sauna was nice and got plenty hot, makes for a specialty that you don't usually find in hotels. 10/10 would stay again. Lovely town too, and great antique stores for any downtime.

Rustic, pretty basic, but very clean and well-maintained, quiet, staffed only 9-9 so make sure you have anything you need before they leave, decent WiFi, decent coffee always available in breakfast room (no in-room coffee pot), bathroom and shower in good shape and very clean, no maid or cleaning during your stay, so it’s basic but super clean, no bugs, smells or gross carpet

Worst bed I ever slept in. Once in bed, you sank inches deep. Impossible to turn. Whirlpool tub had cracks that were patched. Hole under sprinkler in bathroom. Very limited outlets, some over plugged by facility. No amenities except coffee. Did have a patio, didn't use. Ice machine. Room 1009.

Hotel was clean and well maintained around the property, the balcony's were great they overlooked the river which was beautiful. There are two restaurants right next door so you don't need to leave the property just relax and enjoy the stress free environment.

Very nice hotel with two restaurants on site. Waitress and staff super friendly. Country setting five minutes to town. This was our second year staying and will do so in the future. Highly recommend.

The property as a whole is in need of updating. The rooms are ok but certainly in line with room rates. The location of the property is great - on the river. The patios and decks overlooking the river and scenery are great but again in need of updating. The restaurant was closed . There was no coffee pot in rooms and none available at the front desk. When finally made no decaf was offer. No breakfast offered, not even a packaged roll. Again this is a common courtesy with most other comparable properties.The lobby and halls reeked of cigarette smoke which is a complete turn off to customers. The person at front desk did not greet people coming and going. There was a paddle wheel boat docked at the property which is nice. All in all, it is one of a few overnight facilities in Oregon, IL but is in need of updating and renovating.

The room was very clean. The bathroom was very small and the tub was slippery. I almost fell twice. There was no rubber mat. There was no shampoo or lotion. There was a note to let the front desk know if any was needed, but the front desk closed at 8 before I took my shower. No one warned us the front desk closed at 8. Also, when we came back from dinner, after the front desk closed, my husband's room key didn't work. Thankfully, I had mine and we were able to get into the room. I think for the $100 we paid it was not a great value. There was no breakfast. Two plusses; the restaurant across the parking lot was excellent and we could see the setting by the river is picturesque, although we did not have a river view room.

Nice place to stay. Hotel very clean and the location is perfect on the scenic river. Only one concern though, the wifi did work, but it was very slow. I even went from the room to the lobby and dining room, but still was slow. I rely heavily on wifi in the evening for the nature of my trip. Overall though, a great place to stay. **The Blackhawk Pit across the parking lot is amazing!!**

Overall a great place to stay overnight. Our TV was 13", and I am not kidding. Would be nice to let us know there was no shampoo or conditioner in room. You can ask for it at the desk if you were aware but no one is at the desk from 8pm to like 9am.

The facility itself was nice. Loved the view and location! Downside is that the bed was broken and got the worst rest imaginable. Woke up in pain due to the fact that the foot of the bed was higher than the head and sloped down to the left. Front desk just said that “The mattresses are new, there shouldn’t be a problem with the bed” I explained to her that it was something to do with the bed frame and maintenance needed to look at it. I didn’t even get an apology or any acknowledgment that there even may be an issue.

Staff was nice, but services are non existent. No daily cleaning, no toiletries in room, and when we got locked out of our room after hours with no one at the front desk, it took us about 2 hours to get back into our room. The process in place for lockouts does not work well

Overall it's not a bad place. We got in early and the staff let us check in. We needed to get ready for a wedding so that was really helpful. The air unit was a little noisy, but everything else was fine.

Check in was quick and easy. We were upgraded at no additional cost. When we had problems with the TV remote it was handled quickly and courteously. Rooms were ample size and beds were very comfortable. There is a restaurant right next door which is great if you want to partake.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at the Paddle Wheel Inn. The Inn was clean and the staff were lovely. It was located beside the river and is very picturesque, there is a lovely outside seating area right next to the river. I was extremely impressed and will certainly stay there again when in the area.

Nice hotel facing the river. The bed is comfortable and the rooms and bathrooms are super clean. Shampoo and conditioners are available upon request. There is not breakfast served but hot coffee in the lobby. The location is beautiful, right by the river.

Everything was excellent and clean. Only issue was the coffee or should I say hot brown water! Didnt taste like coffee at all not even a little hint of coffee. And rooms dont have coffee pots in them so you can't brew your own.

I was in town visiting family. This was a great place to stay and be close to their house. The view of the water was amazing as was the balcony room. The only downfall was for being a family type hotel, it would have been great if they had board games we could have used. They have a nice area that could be used for a Continental breakfast but only provided coffee and tea. Sometimes those little extras go a long way. Overall it was a nice experience and would stay there again.
