The staff were super friendly. The pool was not available the whole time we were there due to some teens breaking a pool light which put the pool out of service. I was thrilled we were able to check in early as we had been traveling all night and morning. I would stay there again.

I would definitely recommend this Holiday Inn express!! First time there but won’t be my last. Staff was friendly and attentive,check in and out process was seem less and only took a few minutes,room was clean,huge tv bathroom was fantastic with all basics. Location had a very nice and pretty well stocked gym and multiple restaurants within walking distance. I would absolutely recommend.

We had a 4-night stay. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. Complimentary breakfast was very good but some items were not replenished quickly. The only complaint was the condition of the outdoor pool. It was very nice but the bottom layer of plaster(?) was broken up and laying in pieces in a large area in the center of the pool. and there was a small amount of mildew on the bottom. It was refreshing, however!

Super comfortable beds and plenty of hot water in the morning. Check-in was smooth and easy and front desk person was very welcoming. Lobby floors were dirty and needed to be mopped… not best first impression. Breakfast staff wasn’t very friendly when we asked to refill pancake machine and scrambled eggs were not refilled.

Not the worst hotel we’ve stayed at but also not one of the better ones. Staff was fine, check in was fine. The room was okay. We had the air on 71 and woke up to major humidity in the room. The bathroom door was also near impossible to move/close as previous reviewers stated. We were in a room right by the lobby and pool and weren’t bothered by noises. Breakfast was fine and there was someone working to keep it filled. The chairs in the communal area were all filthy. Overall it was fine for one night but I wouldn’t book here again.

Our stay here at Rocky Mount was very nice. We only stayed one night on our way home from Florida, but the staff was very friendly and helpful, and the accommodations were fantastic. Room was very clean and the morning staff was amazing for breakfast.

Check in was fine. The pool had broken cement in the bottom and was dirty. The room was not clean. The bottom of our feet were dirty from walking on the carpet. There was only one light in the main area which led to a very dark stay. The breakfast buffet was ok.

Property and staff were nice, but there was a lot of road noise. Even with white noise on, I could still hear cars. Also, one strange thing - The base of the bed appeared to be a metal box with wire springs above it. Getting in and out of bed and even rolling over caused a reverberating clanging noise. Terrible design and very annoying.

Asked for a quiet room an hour before arriving as my dog gets anxious if he hears too much commotion. Front desk said only first floor for dogs and procedes to put us at the very end by therxit door so we heard people going in and out all night so we barely slept. Also, what is up with the metal bedframe that sounds like thunder if you bump up against it or iwhen you lay down? Stupid design to say the very least. Dog also scared of that noise...the exit door

The key cards stopped working several times for many of the people in the hotel that weekend. The second day of our day, the person in charge of breakfast did not show, therefore there was no breakfast for us that day. I also heard of a party going on next to one of the rooms of our friends. They notified the front desk, but they didn’t do anything about it.

I had a gift card and a one key payment. I had to book the whole stay separately. I had to explain to Ashlee at the front desk. She was so amazing and professional. She gave such a phenomenal impression on me and my family. She was patient and kind. It was busy because of a basketball tournament. She was fast and efficient. Definitely will come back!

Upon check-in, we were given a room where the door was ajar and bed was unmade. A little disturbing since check-in was past midnight. The next room the key did not open the door, however the friendly desk clerk make sure the next key did operate. After check out my card (which was supposedly only for a $20 temporary hold) was charged four times. With a charge of $105.97 processed through. This room had been prepaid using Orbitz. I am now in the process of getting the money refunded through my credit card company and having to deal with the lengthy process of submitting records, receipts, and multiple phone calls. ALWAYS INSIST ON RECEIPT UPON CHEK-OUT!

The property itself was great. The staff was friendly, although incredibly slow in checking in people, even with a reservation. My room was clean and comfortable, but the television didn't work, and even having a maintenance man come the next morning (they aren't calling one at 8pm), it still didn't work. The breakfast didn't open on time, and with a volleyball tournament to get to, we couldn't wait another 30 minutes for a staff member to get it ready for people. There were a number of people, including us, that had to leave and pick up a fast food breakfast on the way to the tournament. Would I stay there again? Not if there were other options.

Not sure what to start with but as a Hyatt Employee, I'm so glad that I don't work for this hotel and this company! This is my first time staying at the Holiday Inn Express and it'll be the last time!! When I got to the hotel on 3/2 to check in, I noticed 5-6 families on their phones complaining that their reservations got canceled without any notice and were told sorry that nothing could be done. I went ahead to check in and they can't find my reservation either. At this point, I'm very confused!!! The lady working the front desk didn't know what was going on and no Manager was able to assist her. She made a few phone calls to her Manager and no one was able to give her any guidance until one of the customers called the corporate office and they were able to find ways how to accommodate some families. It took us 2 hours to finally get the rooms we needed, and we were late to our daughter's game! On the morning of 3/3, we got down at 6:45 am to grab a quick breakfast before we headed to the Volleyball tournament and got the surprising news that NO Breakfast was available. The excuse was that the Breakfast attendant didn't show up!!! I work in the F&B department at a hotel, and this is beyond unacceptable!! Not sure what kind of Management you have at this property, but clearly no communication and no leadership. I felt very bad for the lady working the afternoon shift on 3/2 but she was put in a very uncomfortable position with no Management to back her up.
Not sure what to start with but as a Hyatt Employee, I'm so glad that I don't work for this hotel and this company! This is my first time staying at the Holiday Inn Express and it'll be the last time!! When I got to the hotel on 3/2 to check in, I noticed 5-6 families on their phones complaining that their reservations got canceled without any notice and were told sorry that nothing could be done. I went ahead to check in and they can't find my reservation either. At this point, I'm very confused!!! The lady working the front desk didn't know what was going on and no Manager was able to assist her. She made a few phone calls to her Manager and no one was able to give her any guidance until one of the customers called the corporate office and they were able to find ways how to accommodate some families. It took us 2 hours to finally get the rooms we needed, and we were late to our daughter's game! We stayed at this Holiday Inn as a stop over on I-95. It was in a good location and very clean. The only downside was the road noise. Make sure you request a room that faces away from the road. The free breakfast was also very good.

The highway facing rooms are getting a lot of noise - not just car engine - but a lot of tire noise - and this one sounds high pitched and very annoying. It is very hard to get to sleep with all that noise.

The property itself was great. The staff was friendly, although incredibly slow in checking in people, even with a reservation. My room was clean and comfortable, but the television didn't work, and even having a maintenance man come the next morning (they aren't calling one at 8pm), it still didn't work. The breakfast didn't open on time, and with a volleyball tournament to get to, we couldn't wait another 30 minutes for a staff member to get it ready for people. There were a number of people, including us, that had to leave and pick up a fast food breakfast on the way to the tournament. Would I stay there again? Not if there were other options.

Everything was great although we were disappointed to find out that, for breakfast, the hotel was out of plastic forks, eggs, and the pancake machine was out of order. We were at breakfast at 6:45 and were told they had no eggs and forks today. They need to make sure that they have what’s needed the night before.
