Friars Wynd Guest Rooms

Very nice room above a small pub, close to the train and bus stations so easy walkable, only issue was nowhere to leave bags before 3 o’clock check in and we had to leave them with a Stasher service that required a bit of a walk. Other than that was a very nice hotel.

I chatted to the staff member about my stay , she was the loveliest girl who lives in stirling, so friendly, I hate to review when you can deal with a problem there and then, my stay at the hotel had everything I needed in the room , bed was comfy, kept clean and stocked with tea/coffee and plenty of fresh towels but it was advertised as a bar where to be honest it didn’t have much, no food either but plenty of eateries nearby, I asked for a glass of wine but none in stock, I opted for a glass of Prosecco instead, there was no reception area just a laptop at the table as you walk in, I didn’t expect the staircase to the rooms to make me feel a little scared, one part very dark, it wasn’t the experience of a hotel stay ive had previous , it is very central to everything but I just didn’t feel very comfortable on my own like I’ve had with previous hotels, my room I was able to hear every person walk past and there full conversation which was difficult when tryin to sleep, the noise was actually ok coming from the students out in the streets

Room was clean and well decorated. TV signal was poor and broken up. Not a welcoming hotel from the outside due to the bar downstairs being shut. Rand the number shown and someone opened up. Stay was fine overall

Great stay. Just wish they had microwaves and refrigerators, being there’s no breakfast. Other than the stay I love the fact I don’t have see concierge every time I want to leave out, they have a side door to enter. Plus I enjoyed the available private smoke area.

The lady at the check-in desk was really lovely and answered any queries we had. The room was a good size, however there was a bit of damage to the walls, marks on the tv, one of the plug sockets didn’t work at the bedside and the toilet door was almost like it was hanging off the rails which was a bit strange. Unfortunately our toilet stopped working when on the first day and we had noticed that the water from the tap was cloudy which suggested it had been off. The lady at the front desk did give us a second room key to change rooms, but the toilet started working again after flushing the second room toilet (which was right next to the first room).
