Fabulous top of hill location. We were pre-season so almost alone. Super helpful skeleton staff. Teeny uphill streets for access. All crowds in downtown Sparti - this is a resort style hotel.

The property is in need of a bit of a spruce up with discarded equipment in the garden. The arrival receptionist was very half hearted and uninformative. Bar experience was terrible - box wine and no tonic. The breakfast staff however were excellent. Awesome views made it passable.

Great property 10 minutes drive outside of central Sparta. Excellent service from check-in to check-out. Quick and easy. Amazing views, great pool, great food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Polite and friendly staff. Rooms very big for our family of 5. Will stay again when we visit Sparta.

Hotel Melies is a resort hotel on a hilltop overlooking Sparta and surrounded by spectacular mountain views in all directions. The structure of the lodgings itself is beautiful with arches, walkways, lovely gardens and pines, olive groves, and fig trees everywhere. Our room was comfortable with robes and slippers provides. There was a mini kitchen in the room including two electric burners and a roomy mini fridge. The wifi was pretty good given the somewhat remote locations I can see this hotel being an excellent getaway or great for a wedding or other get together. The hotel staff were super nice and accommodating.

The location of this place is unreal. The view is worth it all. The room was beautiful Mountain View suite had a private bedroom, single bed right outside of the room and an upstairs double/queen that has an amazing view. The food there was amazing we had almost everything on the menu. The dinner for 2 or 4 was extremely delicious. All the cocktails were great. The pool was amazing. The service there is great. The staff Demetri, Joanne, and Sypro were so attentive and provided a great experience. The drive there is like following an unknowing trail wondering when you will arrive to the top of that hill. Once you get there you will be so happy you made it.

This was a beautiful lace in Sparti. The pool is well maintained and fun. Lots of kids and families. The houses are great to help you feel at home in the area and a good base to explore the mountains and close to Mystras. Very friendly staff and the breakfast was a fantastic spread.

Merveilleuse surprise en arrivant dans cet hôtel un peu perdu en haut d’une colline. Tout est magnifique et l’accueil adorable. Bery beautiful stone built property with spacious room and very well kept. Greeted by Demetrios who could not have been knder or friendlier. The hotel is a little distance from the city so was good to eat on site.

Our stay at the Melies Hotel was wonderful. The staff was very friendly and very hard working to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The pool area and restaurant views overlook the mountains, olive trees, and the wonderful city of Sparta. The rooms and accommodations were spacious and very clean. The breakfast included in your stay is full of fruits, breads , eggs , and coffees. The menu is full and there so many drinks to choose from alcoholic and non alcoholic. This place for a vacation or a quick short local get away is highly recommended for any size family and any age group you may have or be traveling with. Thai is place will be a return stay for our family for sure.

Great, friendly, helpful staff! Incredible property and views! I would certainly stay here again. Breakfast was great and the room was clean. The ONLY thing I would suggest to them for improvement is better internet coverage to reach all areas of the property and to invest in better towels. It was certainly overall a good experience marred only by those two items we had some issues with.

The location of this property is absolutely amazing. You have a 360 degree view of all of Sparti and the surrounding area. The food was also excellent, especially the breakfast (man they give you a lot of food, lol!). The place itself is very nice, though the room was a bit "Spartan", pun intended. It had everything we needed but the shower could have been a bit cleaner. The help was very polite and helpful. I would highly recommend this property if anything for the wonderful view.

This property is located right outside of Sparta. It’s perfect if you are visiting the ancient sites of Sparta and Mystras. This is a beautiful resort and the rooms are fabulous! There is a restaurant insight which is delicious and breakfast was divine!

Beautiful property in the middle of an olive orchard! Gorgeous pool area, amazing breakfast included. The property and rooms are gorgeous. We had a family suite with a loft that was spacious and beautiful. Staff made our stay even better!

The hotel is remote, but the views are incredible. Food and beverage service was above par. Staff were incredible (front desk & check in, restaurant and housekeeping, all amazing). Loved this hotel and hope to return!

The location of this place is unreal. The view is worth it all. The room was beautiful Mountain View suite had a private bedroom, single bed right outside of the room and an upstairs double/queen that has an amazing view. The food there was amazing we had almost everything on the menu. The dinner for 2 or 4 was extremely delicious. All the cocktails were great. The pool was amazing. The service there is great. The staff Demetri, Joanne, and Sypro were so attentive and provided a great experience. The drive there is like following an unknowing trail wondering when you will arrive to the top of that hill. Once you get there you will be so happy you made it.

This was a last minute emergency booking so we were not able to see or enjoy the facilities. The staff were ver friendly and helpful. A little hard to find the place late at night but we are used to bigger North American roads.

The hotel is remote, but the views are incredible. Food and beverage service was above par. Staff were incredible (front desk & check in, restaurant and housekeeping, all amazing). Loved this hotel and hope to return!

Our stay at the Melies Hotel was wonderful. The staff was very friendly and very hard working to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The pool area and restaurant views overlook the mountains, olive trees, and the wonderful city of Sparta. The rooms and accommodations were spacious and very clean. The breakfast included in your stay is full of fruits, breads , eggs , and coffees. The menu is full and there so many drinks to choose from alcoholic and non alcoholic. This place for a vacation or a quick short local get away is highly recommended for any size family and any age group you may have or be traveling with. Thai is place will be a return stay for our family for sure.

The location of this property is absolutely amazing. You have a 360 degree view of all of Sparti and the surrounding area. The food was also excellent, especially the breakfast (man they give you a lot of food, lol!). The place itself is very nice, though the room was a bit "Spartan", pun intended. It had everything we needed but the shower could have been a bit cleaner. The help was very polite and helpful. I would highly recommend this property if anything for the wonderful view.

This was a beautiful lace in Sparti. The pool is well maintained and fun. Lots of kids and families. The houses are great to help you feel at home in the area and a good base to explore the mountains and close to Mystras. Very friendly staff and the breakfast was a fantastic spread.

Although I am not a friend of Sparta's lack of proximity to sea and oppressive heat, this hotel provided a welcome relief. The room was huge, could easily accommodate 6 people we were 4 Staff was very helpful, breakfast was too generous, we had to ask them to tone it down as there was too much food brought to the table. Everything was delicious. Pool and surroundings were spectacular. Nights saw us turn off the air conditioner and open a window (in July!!!) We are definitely coming back
