We were literally just "passing through" and our only regret with staying at the Parry Lodge is that we didn't have another day to just enjoy it. The history of the place is palpable, yet, it was very comfortable to be at. We loved the downtown area just across the street and were able to visit a few of the store fronts before leaving town. The check in staff nicely informed us what our dining options were for the night, as they are often limited on a Sunday in Utah. We had a very pleasant, although too short, stay. My kids loved the pool area with the fire pits, and we were able to enjoy the breakfast buffet. I want to know more of the history of the Old Barn Playhouse. We popped our head in, but I bet that place has seen a lot of activity through the years.

Basic, classic, clean hotel. The staff were kind. We loved that it had a 12pm checkout. The pool area was nice with trees and fire pits. The pool was a little cold and there was no hot tub.

Quaint property with homage given to the ‘40’s-60’s western movie stars. There’s lots to love about this place, rooms are nice, beds Anna linens are clean and comfy even though some other parts are dated. Big outdoor activity barn that has movie playing and help yourself popcorn. Outdoor pool with gas fire pits that were on in the evening. Breakfast was inexpensive but nothing to talk about. Nice dining hall. Staff was always friendly and helpful. Easy walkable to all sorts of restaurants and Kanab sights. Recommend!

The room was very clean and had refrigerator microwave and coffeemaker. Loved the setting and history. So convenient to park right in front of our room. A nice sitting area in front of our door while I enjoyed morning coffee was a benefit. We did not get a chance to have the movie in the barn but would have enjoyed that as well. The breakfast was the best and very economical! Definitely would stay here again.

Historic motel in Kanab that was dog-friendly! Visiting in summer with high temps, Parry Lodge gave us a room surrounded by grass for our pup. Very thoughtful. Loved the property. Walkable to shops in town. Service was impeccable.

Not sure if our room just felt out dated. However, the room overall felt uncleanly, definitely dusty. Our bedding did not seem fresh, room had a strong musty smell. Location was ideal for staying in this town.

Was looking forward to nostalgia of this older hotel. Liked that it was close to main street. However he room felt run down. Broken funiture. There was no weather strip on the bottom of the door, so there was a space big enough for a cold rodent or spider to crawl in. This also made the temp hard to control. The floor felt dirty in the bathroom. But overall the bed was comfortable, I was able to watch a movie and relax after a day of travel and exploring. Would suggest adding an extra blanket to be pulled up. and a quieter fan on heating unit. will look at another option for next time.

The bathroom could have been cleaner. We found a used bar of soap on the shelf in the tub and the floors looked like it hadn’t been swept. The pillows were too fluffy and uncomfortable. Employees were very friendly

When we hot there at 9pm after driving 12 hrs the air wasnt on and it was very hot in the room and it took several hours for it to cool off. Then after we got showers we went to go to bed every bodies feet were dirty. We had to lay a wet towel between the beds To wipe our feet off before we got into the beds because the floor was so nasty.

Pros: Great location. Great breakfast. Plenty of hot water. Soft sheets. Nice pool area. Very nice staff. Cons: Old, dirty, disgusting moldy looking shower curtain. Physical keys are a safety risk. . . anyone could have a copy. Lack of plugs. Beat up furniture. Moldy area on ceiling. No grab bar in shower. Toilet barely flushes. Thin walls, making it difficult to sleep. Parties going on in the parking lot all night and since the room doors open directly into the parking lot, it is loud and scary. Only allowed 1 roll of TP at a time, so get more before you run out! Cleaning cart constantly parked outside my door, blocking my exit. And worst of all. . . the faucets! They are old and I had to pull on them with all my strength to get water to some on. I wrenched a shoulder and almost fell. Property DESPERATELY needs updating.

Fun little place, it is an older building of course, so not a lot of sound proofing. Could hear the people all around us. Probably my misinterpretation, but we thought breakfast was an included perk, but it wasn’t. Nice people at the desk, comfy beds, showers never really got hot, but warm was ok in the weather

We liked everything about our rooms except the mattresses. We had joining rooms. They were both clean and updated, they were quiet and comfy. We loved the history of this place. Literally the only thing we didn't like was the mattresses. 5/5 of us slept very poorly. The beds were hard and made a loud squeaking noise whenever somebody rolled over.

Great quaint historic hotel. Well kept clean, friendly. Only complaint is loud A/C, and big hard pillows. It is a motel so people leaving early in the morning can be noisy, opening & closing car doors etc. overall, I would go back.

We enjoyed our stay a Parry Lodge - it was perfect, and the perfect location for the few days we were in town. The amenities in the room are basic - a classic "motor lodge" feel to it. Bed was not very comfortable, but doable for the short time we were there. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

The gentleman who did our check in was awesome very friendly and informative. However in the morning when we went in for breakfast the First Lady that greeted us wasn’t very friendly and when we went in for the buffet the gal there I ask for butter and another lady ask for bread and she was quite smart she said wait and I did get my butter but no bread was ever put out

Staff was friendly and helpful. My room was spacious. Bed was comfortable. Good towels, shower pressure and hot water. They play a movie every night in the barn. Cool vibe, I have a much deeper appreciation for the old Little Hollywood movies. I highly recommend and would stay there again.

I enjoyed my stay at the Parry Lodge. The room was very clean. The bed was very comfortable. It was everything that I would expect at a reasonable price. Since I was on a motorcycle trip parking right outside, my room was important to me. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. It is within easy walking distance of several shops and stores and museums and things to see.

A great hotel in a great location. Our family was looking for a place close to Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks and other southern Utah and Northern Arizona attractions. Kanab is the perfect location for this. The Parry Lodge was the perfect hotel for the three of us and our dog. Large clean rooms with all amenities, beautiful older buildings, great staff, and the perfect location for walking to restaurants and shops. We loved everything about the Parry Lodge and it is definitely our hotel of choice in Kanab from hereon forward.

We loved staying at Parry Lodge. It’s full of character and the rooms are comfortable. If you’re looking for something unique, rather than the bland, generic chain hotels in Kanab, I recommend Parry Lodge. We stayed in the David Duchovny room, which is so-named because the X-Files actor stayed at Parry Lodge while filming the movie Evolution in the area.

I'm so glad we stayed at the Parry Lodge! We didn't know the history of the place when we booked. It was a real treat to stay there and see pictures and read about the days when Kanab was called Little Hollywood! It was so convenient to restaurants and shopping as well! Everything was walking distance. Perfect for driving to Zion and Bryce too! Would definitely stay again!

Fantastic breakfast buffet. Would stay just for the breakfast. Staff was great too. Awesome location and walkable. Rooms were old and need to be updated. There was no counter space. Popcorn ceilings. We ended up bringing our camping chairs in to sit on because the couch was old and uncomfortable. If they could make their rooms as charming as the restaurant, this place would be perfect.

From the outside and the photos, this looks like a nice place with some history. Don't be fooled. Our room was run down and dismal. The website talks up the breakfast, but it was basic, boring, and not worth the money. They also ask for a tip on entry. It's a buffet, of the type that would be complimentary at other hotels.

I was disappointed, given the amount I was charged by Hotels.com. I was enchanted by the description, but discovered that there are nicer places for the same price I paid. Room was a bare wood floor, and the total impression was of a place that had not seen serious renovation since John Wayne stayed there. Breakfast buffet bar (cost $10) was empty with no one ins itght to refill it.

Excellent location and staff is very friendly. Check in is at 4pm. The bed was hard for us, but that’s subjective. Clean room was well appointed and the grounds are well kept. Quiet rooms even for a Saturday night since there were only a few ATV’s. Fun movie history on display. Breakfast fee is $10 per person, it has a great selection but was already just a lukewarm buffet at the 7am start time.

Our room, the "Zane Grey" ADA room, was beyond my expectations! It was huge, well appointed, and parking was right in front of it. Love the extensive history of the property presented throughout. Staff was very friendly. I was looking forward to the breakfast buffet and was disappointed. Despite 8 people walking in they did not refresh the hot buffet food available (eggs, waffles, bacon, etc), and you could tell it had been there awhile (waffles hard, tough scrambled eggs, etc). One couple complained and were told that "they hadn't made any fresh batches because they were trying to limit waste." I get that, but it made for a less enjoyable meal, especially for the price.

Fun and funky “old Hollywood” decor made this a great one-night stay for us. Also the excellent and highly recommended breakfast! (Hard to find in Kanab). It was better than expected and I’d definitely stay again
