Hampton by Hilton Glasgow Central

Room was the nicest of all our stay in Europe. Breakfast was good and staff was lovely. Only issue was the cost of parking with no in out services. Very expensive so be prepared.

Very clean. Staff welcoming and helpful. Bar area very comfortable. Complimentary breakfast was excellent with great choices of hot or cold food. Would definitely stay her e again.

Conveniently situated city hotel, pleasant and efficient staff,good breakfast. Reasonable choice of restaurants nearby but very busy-recommend booking. Parking across the road reasonable with validation. Only problem really was the bed in our room was terribly uncomfortable-uneven and dipping-like sleeping on a large lilo.

I like this hotel its comfortable and in a central location. Parking is £14 a night but breakfast is in with the price so you have to consider your options.

Hotel was centrally located. Parking was across the street in a parking garage. Room was small but comfortable. Everything was well cleaned. Staff were helpful.

One night stay whilst attending a gig at the Garage. Really easy access (parked at Q Park across the road - you get a subsidised rate of £14 overnight stamped at the hotel) . Hotel was lovely and staff friendly, room was clean & central… downfalls, hotel doesn’t serve lunch or dinner so had to go out looking for food, but did serve breakfast, this was good but disappointed it was hash browns instead of potato scone ☺️ The room was cold in parts, the fan heating only heats the main room so the Toilet & corridor were cold. There is no hotel parking so had to park in a private carpark at £27 for 24hrs so a bit expensive

Checked in good, dropped bags and went to the theatre. On our return the musty smell in the room was intolerable. Staff were good offering a reduction, however we declined as it was very unpleasant and clearly had a problem. New room was allocated which was pleasant we were disappointed that a quick stop over with a trusted brand was not what we expected.

Clean but mould in the shower, and old carpet now, also the shower covered in lime-scale and terrible. My door also tripped out everyday, so Everytime I left the room, I had to get the key recut..... The service was brilliant. Super friendly and really helpful with all the issues. But bad hotel. So unlike Hilton

Feels uncared for. Breakfast area furniture is very simple and - unfortunately - filthy. Our room was also old, tired and dirty. Stains on chairs, broken furniture, dirty carpet. Housekkeping was erratic; one day only the bathroom was cleaned while the rest of the room remained unmade?!? Acoustics to the corridor is bad. The location is good, but there are loads of hotels in that area, I would definitely chose one of the other ones....

Room was properly cleaned 1 night out of 5, and only after we complained at reception. A/C did not work half the time, window could not be opened, so room was very stuffy. Staff seemed mostly uncoordinated and unmotivated. Breakfast was ok, great location.

Went for a shower pick a towel out of the shelf and it was dirty it had like fake tan or make all over it not to happy

The hotel was spotless the staff were very helpful in anything you needed to know rooms were cleaned daily the were really nice a good selection to suit everyone would really recommend this hotel you wont be disappointed

Bedroom was clean, good sized shower/bathroom area. Toiletries - shampoo/conditioner/body wash/hand wash and body lotion provided. Hairdryer was decent. Air con in the rooms. Wi-Fi wasn’t great but not really an issue. Breakfast was lovely, hot buffet, cereals, waffle maker - would stay here again.

There is a nightclub across the road so if you are on the front of the hotel and not a heavy sleeper prepare to be kept awake.

Hotel was a short walk from city shops and restaurants. Was underwhelmed by entrance, reception and dining areas which had a very budget feel to them. Room was comfortable though very small.

Having booked with Hampton by Hilton before, we expected amenities to be the same, however despite booking the same grade of room we were a little disspointed with no fridge in the room (we like real milk in our tea) and no ability to stream to the tv in the room as the menu options and settings were disabled - when I asked the staff about it they simply said some romms had been upgraded not all. The glass bathroom door that slid to the wardrobe lent a not so gentle ambience at 4am when the bathroom was in use for some time and it lit up the whole room. The bathroom was exceptionally clean all fixtures and fittings in the room all in good condition barring a dubious stain on the carpet and make up stains on the net curtains. Breakfast was passable although the croissants were burnt on day one and not much better day 2, the waffle mix was virtually empty by 8.30 day 2. Hot goods were good. I booked the hotel as I wanted something a little nicer than travel lodge/premier was left feeling that I could have saved money by going elsewhere

Hotel was clean but was in a room with adjoining doors and could hear everything that was going on next door not good at all will definitely ask for different room if this happens again

They placed me in a room for a disabled person, and the bathroom there was not sufficiently clean or pleasant, with a part of a sink falling off. The room was enormous, though, and they had a big desk and a kettle for working comfortably. Breakfast was tasty with haggis and waffles but lacked choice, and there was no change for a week. No mini-fridge to store any drink. Wifi was deemed unsafe by my Macbook, and I had to log in each time. The price difference with Hilton is not so significant, but the difference in common facilities is evident. Overall, good for business travel, but I feel there are better hotels if you can pay a little more.

Stay at Hampton Hilton was great. The staff were kind a courteous and anticipated and took care of any need I had, they were knowledgeable whenever I had questions about city and were always happy and ready to help.

Arriving at this hotel, there were 5 staff members behind the reception area. They were all chatting amongst themselves and did not pay any attention to us, and I had to interrupt in order to get checked in. During our 2 night visit, staff at reception were unfriendly and not attentive to customers. Our room was poorly lit - one bedside light and one light in the bathroom did not work. Breakfast was ok, although some of the hot food was actually cold. For being advertised as a 3 star hotel, I was disappointed and expected better accommodation and customer service.

The property was great . Very clean . The staff hospitality is wanting. Almost borderline rude. especially the Gentleman who was at the check out desk and lady who was at the check in desk early morning yesterday.

The morning front office and breakfast staff were excellent in all respects - efficiency; friendliness; helpfulness; attitude towards guests etc. Sadly this did not extend to the afternoon/evening crew: never greeted incoming guests with a smile on returning over 4 days; guests were treated as an inconvenience to deal with; not welcomed with a smile on checking in - sign here 3 times; lifts around the corner first door on right; here are your keys; bye! Arrived on a very wet night with several bags; cab driver very helpful but was chewed out by a male supervisor for putting a bag against an automatic door but made no effort to move it or take to reception to assist couple in mid-70's; just kept scowling. Thanks so much. Welcome to the Hampton. Observed this same attitude to other incoming guests - not an isolated case at all. Morning crew 5/5; evening 2/5 and being generous. Breakfast food selection good and replenished quickly; tables cleaned promptly; staff friendly and courteous. Maintenance staff fixed a door issue promptly but liaison was with morning crew. Certainly a mixed bag. Rooms are smallish but adequate and housekeeping done efficiently. Maybe management could observe for them selves discreetly and make some changes in attitudes.

Great hotel, really central. The staff are friendly and extremely helpful. Breakfast is good, decent selection and well presented. Overall I would thoroughly recommend this hotel, it is the third time we have used it and will definitely use it again in the future.

We had no heat in our rooms the first night, so the staff brought in portable heaters. Then, the next day we had no hot water. The manager did not charge us for one night of our stay. He was very apologetic. Also, my daughter's reservation was not in their records. It turns out she canceled the credit card she used to reserve the room and opened another. Instead of contacting her to say the card was denied and ask for another form of payment, they cancelled both night's reservations. The Hampton had no rooms available for our stay, so she had to find another hotel to book a room.

Fair size room. Plenty of hot water. Good breakfast. Great location.

Surrounding area a bit sketchy. Lots of construction around at the moment. Breakfast offerings were terrific.

Excellent location to main center and transportation. Room was clean but hot water was very spotty. Front desk staff was friendly but couldn’t give any information on how to get to places on public transportation. They were inexperienced. Hotel breakfast was excellent and started at 6am.

Access to shopping and dining places was amazing. Perfect location!

Perfect location for a visit to the city

This is a great hotel in a great location..handy for the centre, the Concert Hall, Sauchiehall Street & Buchanan Galleries and is an easy 10 minute walk from Buchanan Bus Station. The staff were lovely, our room was nice and the included breakfast was great with plenty choice.

Great place to stay. Central to all facilities in Glasgow. Staff are exceptional and went above and beyond . Only fault was pressure on shower was absolutely awful.

Disappointed in standard of hotel, did not meet expectations and didn’t reflect cost. Hotel in need of a refurbishment. Poor breakfast selection, toaster broken and no replacement provided.

We were pleasantly surprised by the size of the room, given that it is right in the city centre. A lovely comfortable bed with large tv and a very nice en-suie. Breakfast was included in the price and had a great choice, even a waffle machine.

Breakfast was cold, noticed putting hot food, mixing it , with lukewarm food, not good, I have my Food Hygiene Certification, and that’s not good doing that! Also rooms, far too small, cups small, thank goodness I bought my own Mug. Good range of Breakfast foods. Rooms not very warm, air conditioning, hard to regulate. But the staff, were very nice and friendly. The lights do not keep the food, warm enough, lift to rooms, very slow.

The shower in room 211 is dreadful, if we were staying any longer I would if asked to change rooms, breakfast was just ok, nothing special, most of the stuff was overcooked.

We were a group of 20 - celebrating a special birthday. Every single person spoke so well of the hotel - the breakfast was a topic of conversation (in a great way - the latish window of availability was especially helpful) and the spacious rooms and cleanliness throughout. Everyone said they’d rebook in future. A superb accolade.
