Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Huntsville

Our two night stay was extremely disappointing. We arrived at midnight to be informed that the elevator was broken, and our reserved room, the only one available, was on the 4th floor. Apparently, they were willing to waive the cancellation fee, but where else were we supposed to go in the middle of the night? There was no soap in the room at all. I was told when I inquired that they no longer provide hand soap because there is body wash in the shower. When I mentioned that our body wash was completely empty, I was told that our room was on the list to be refilled that day...and that I could ask housekeeping if I saw them in the hall. I didn't see them, but I did call the front desk twice to request a refill and let them know that it hadn't been done. We never did get any. Other than those issues, it was just kind of meh. We were only given 3 towels for 4 guests...the pool and the fitness center were kind of sad (and definitely not worth hiking back up 3 flights of stairs to visit)...the room had a weird smell...the pillows were disappointing...there wasn't good lighting in the bathroom...etc. It would have been nice to have received some kind of discount for the inconvenience of the elevator being out, but instead our initial bill had us overcharged by $50. The nicest thing I can say is that the breakfast was pretty good. They had eggs, waffles, and sausage in addition to cereal, biscuits, toast, bagels, etc. It wasn't worth going back for.

Worse stay ever told me after i checked in that the elevators didnt work and im disable and put me on 3rd floor ask for refund to go somewhere else and they said sence i check in i cant get a refund or put me on 1st floor won't be coming back here

Besides the elevator being broken, my stay was very pleasant and the location perfect! I would definitely stay here again, hopefully with a functional elevator.

My stay at the hotel was very pleasant. The only thing was when I got there. The elevator did not work and they didn't have any rooms on the 1st floor available, so the deskler had to carry all of our bags upstairs and we had at least 7 bags, 3 large ones, but he was so kind and carried our bags for us, but we had to walk the stairs for the 3 days that we were there and then when we got ready to check out. He came up 11 o'clock at night. And took all of our bags down to the car for us. I was told that I was sent an email through hotmail dot com to let me know the elevator didn't work but I never received a email from the hotel nor did I get a phone call.

I booked at this hotel because the reviews were great, however upon arrival I was told the elevators were not working and they reserved my room on the 3rd floor, they were able to accommodate me with a room on the 2nd floor the rate was not cheap. When I arrived to the room I noticed there was a black pubic hair on the shower body wash, at this point I went and bought Clorox spray to sanitize the shower. There was also a bright street light facing the bed which kept me up and the heater in the room was not working properly. Staff also forgot to turn on the ice machines and the filtered water needed the filter to be replaced so the water was room temperature and the taste was horrible. My overall experience at this hotel was unacceptable and do not recommend it nor will I stay here again!!

The room was still dirty when we checked in with hair on the toilet and old food in the fridge. The elevator did not work the time we were there and not very convenient while staying on the 4th floor. I was disappointed.

When you walk in the first thing you smell is cigarette. When we got to our room and undid the sheets to call it a night we found bed bugs and the sheets had bodily fluids everywhere. We called the front desk to come up to our room, first thing Vivek says is ‘do you have pictures to prove what you’re saying’ while looking at the bugs and dirty sheets. We immediately asked for a refund, we literally had to argue about how unsafe, unsanitary, and disgusting the bed was. An hour later Expedia helped get a full refund and basically forced the people at this hotel to process it. The manager on the phone with this Vivek guy I could hear say there’s nothing they can do and we should wait till tomorrow. This hotel is disgusting and has bed bugs.

People were nice. Room wasn’t the cleanest.

Property was clean except for a small stain on a sheet. Bed was comfortable. Room cooled adequately. Shower was well stocked with supplies but the shower water pressure was lacking. Breakfast was usual for a free breakfast.

Hotel was in a great location near shops and restaurants. However, the only complaint I have is the restroom was not very clean, empty lotion bottle and had a bug in the shower.

Night clerk was very efficient, cordial, and professional. Check in was a breeze. Room was great, but cold -- 62 degrees -- and it took several hours to reach room temperature. No other issues.

It was a quick trip for a baby shower. The room was cozy, the bed was excellent. Everything was very clean. We stayed here before and it was great, so we came back and still great.

The ice bucket had a bag with water in it. The water pressure in shower was very very low. Pillows were uncomfortable. The occupant above us seemed to be trying to walk a 5k in their room.

Had to wait for 10 minutes to get checked in. No at the desk. It was very noisy with construction right next to the hotel. The water container at the front desk had water that tasted terrible. I shower and bed were very nice.

Nice quiet stay. Bed and pillows were super comfortable. Breakfast was very good. We stayed 4 nights and did not get any maid service. Had to go down to the front desk twice for clean towels. She even marked it in her book but we still did not get towel. A little disappointing.

They said my reservation was cancelled, charged me, and then didn’t have a room for me.

Excellent hotel. Smooth check in and check out. Friendly and helpful staff. Comfy beds. Great breakfast. Clean room and good parking available. We will definitely stay here every time we visit Huntsville.

This is a great place to stay. Every time we come to town from Austin we stay here. We were in town to visit a family member. It's very clean and quiet. The free breakfast is okay. Its not the best, but certainly isn't the worst. On our recent stay the elevator was out of order. I was called the day before to inform me of this. They happily booked me another room on the first floor so i didn't have to climb the stairs. The only issue i had with our recent stay was on the day we checked out the maid started knocking on our door around 10am to come clean the room. Checkout is at noon. The maid returned around 11am to see if we had left. I told her that checkout is at noon and we have until then to stay. We left our room shortly before noon. As we exited the room the maids were in an area directly across from our room, so i said "We are leaving NOW". I really didn't appreciate being rushed.

I wish that I could give a good review, but I can’t. I had booked my room for 2 nights since February 7th because there’s where my daughter’s school team would be staying. After following a bus on an 11 hour trip, I got there to the hotel exhausted, and just wanted to go to sleep, and without giving me an explanation why, they said they had cancelled my reservation. My daughter was going to room with me and we sat there, tired and felt defeated. I didn’t know where I would be staying and the staff member kept saying there wasn’t at least 1 room available for me. I was looking through Expedia to book another hotel, but I wanted to stay there to help my daughter get ready for her event in the morning, plus I was helping the school by being a chaperone. After being there a while, stressed out of my mind, trying to figure out where I was staying the night, the staff member finally came up to me and said someone had canceled their reservation. They gave me a room on the 4th floor, and the elevator was not working. At that point, I didn’t care. I just wanted to go to sleep. The next day, I traveled an hour on the bus with the students to a competition, and around 1pm, I received a call from the hotel that I had to empty my room because it was reserved for someone else. After I explain again, and they put me on hold, they agreed to let me stay another night. When we arrived around midnight after a long day, I climbed to 4th floor and my key was inactive. Stressful!

Polite, friendly front desk staff.

Tried to check in at 3 and didn’t have any clean rooms. Had reservations which were given away. Had to downgrade without compensation. Manager G didn’t have a clue what she was doing on the computer and had to have help from another associate. She overcharged us and when I confronted her she didn’t know what to do and told me to call Hotels.com. Hotels.com helped me and tried to call the hotel and wouldn’t answer. Manager G needs to be trained in customer service and downgraded

Nice hotel. Clean, well kept. Easy access to I-45 ( southbound side) . Lots of restaurants close by

check in was very fast and efficient. Our room was comfortable and quiet. We didn't have the included breakfast because we had to leave very early in the morning. The location of the hotel is right off the interstate in an area with lots of dining options, including fast food, dine in restaurants, both locally owned and chains.There is a variety of shopping in the immediate area also. The hotel is also a short drive from SHSU. You can also get to Houston in about 45 minutes, depending on traffic.

The hotel was nice and clean. Breakfast was sub par . Eggs were cold and sausage looked undercooked. Pictures online definitely mis-leading. Staff was not rude but not friendly either. I definitely will not recommend this hotel to family and friends.

The hotel was very very clean. The beds were comfortable and the staff attentive. Even self closing toilet lids and extra healthy options on the breakfast buffet. So many toppings for the yogurt and oatmeal! Oat milk & 2% milk varieties as well.

The staff was very pleasant. Our check in was after midnight and the front desk personnel made sure our room was an available when we arrived. Breakfast had plenty of selection and was very good. Rooms and restroom was very clean.

We checked in late and left early so we didn't have time to enjoy the stay, however check in was a breeze, the place was quiet and remarkably clean. We appreciated the quick efficient breakfast that helped get us on our way. *****

Some of the staff could pay more attention to hygiene. The continental breakfast left a lot to be desired.
