This is a true gem a few blocks from Victoria Station, close to restaurants, shopping, and key tourist attractions. We stayed in 2 rooms, including a beautifully redecorated large king suite. There is a nice restaurant, great-looking bar and lounge, and elevator. We would highly recommend this lovely property in London.

Overall nice property. Very convenient to Victoria station. Although there is a lift where most rooms can access, I had a room that required taking a flight of stairs.

We arrived and the elevator was out of service. We were early so we explored and when we came back later we were tired and laid down. It was later at night but it suddenly dawned on me that we did not have a king sized bed or larger room like I booked. We were too tired to go to desk so I waited until morning. The next morning I reported that we had been put in the wrong type of room. We were simply moved into the correct type of room. No apologies, no offer to reimburse me for the night we were in the wrong room. Nothing. If I hadnt complained, we wouldnt have even been moved. My husband is 6'3" and slept in a full bed with his feet hanging off the bed because someone couldn't be bothered to put us in the correct room. When in the new room, the sink didn't work and a repair man had to be sent to fix that. We had to wash our hands in the bathtub until it was fixed. I overpaid for a hotel that is in a nice area, but other than that was not worth the money.

The lift was out of service for all three days of our stay. We were in the 2nd floor, we are over 60 years old. I would appreciate some token, such as one free breakfast to compensate for the inconvenience. Also the tea kettle was leaking and all the water spilled in the tray.

Friendly service. Very close to Victoria station which has nonstop bus service to Heathrow as well as District/Circle/Victoria lines, yet enough distance to have a neighborhood feel with nice cafes & restaurants within a couple blocks. I had a single so the room was on the small-ish side but perfectly functional & clean. A nice bar in the reception area. Highly recommend.

The hotel was amazingly located. Close to many of the major attractions in London, the tube, bus and train stations. The hotel was really comfortable and the area surrounding was safe and clean. The only drawback to this hotel was the lift was down for the 4 days we were there. The staff was very accommodating and moved us to a lower floor. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Good location for our stay, and a nice building, clean rooms. Unfortunately the lift was broken, and we were put on the 3rd floor. The stairs to the third and fourth floor are very steep and with difficult bends (probably the old servant quarters back when it was a house), so not recommended if you're a bit unsteady. The hotel was short staffed, and those that were there not really very helpful. At time it appeared to be just one person.

This property is charming. We did have a very small room, but it was comfortable, a nice bathroom (stall shower and tub). There is a lift (very small, but it handled two of us and large suitcases, two smaller bags and 2 backpacks in one trip). The best things we appreciated was the location. We were able to walk everywhere. The Victoria Coach Station and Victoria Transit Station are close by. We walked to Buckingham Palace, St.James Park, The Churchhill War Room Museum, We walked to Victoria Palace Theatre to see Hamilton. We caught busses to St. Paul's Cathedral, to the Imperial War Museum (by the way, you don't need an Oyster Card, you can just tap your credit card for fares).

I liked nothing about this hotel. It was dirty, mouldy, chipped tile, chipped bathtub, dirty ceiling, noisy from room above, cramped space and noisy air conditioner. I would never stay there again.

Advertised and paid for superior room this is only a double. Small cold dirty room, bathroom smelt of drains and dirty facilities. No bar or reception staff at any point. Was told they had a facility to use whilst we waited for an our, this was a single toilet with a filthy floor. Breakfast staff were rude, would never book this hotel again. Advertised as a 4* this is a 2 or 3 at best and that’s for the location

We couldn’t check in until after 3 pm. Shower leaked. Noisy neighbors and thin walls. Noisy AC. Cheap shampoo and body wash. Cleaning person left dirty tissue on floor. For the high price DONT stay here!

Good clean and quiet hotel on a nice and quiet street that’s just steps from Victoria station. Amazing location makes it super easy to get around London. Room wasn’t large but was better than we expected and generally well kept. Breakfast was great.

When we booked the hotel there was no explanation on site that the room will be in the basement. We were very disappointed about that. Plus bathroom had wet moldy looking spots. Other than that we enjoyed quite area of the hotel. It was very convenient for walking to most of the popular historical places.

We were very pleased with the price, location and convenience to the Underground. Staff was very helpful, friendly and the rooms were quite clean and well maintained. It is nice to find a location that fulfills all the needs we had for our stay without having to pay a ton! I would recommend Tophams to friends and certainly consider staying there again!

We got to Tophams early and the maid made a big effort to clean our room so we could get in early. The room was always immaculate when we returned after a day out and about. The front desk was great and the breakfast employees were very nice and accommodating. Thanks for a great stay. See you next December!

Hotel in general was okay. Purchased breakfast was good but limited in selection. Take note that standard double room is quite tiny with narrow steps down to the bathroom. Air conditioning was a bit challenging. On the upside, very convenient to the trains / tube and walkable to many major attractions. Would stay again but with a larger room.

Great location close to Victoria station but still in a quiet street. Hotel was clean and new. Nice look and feel to the hotel. Rooms however are extremely small. We also woke up every morning around 7 am from all the other hotel guests getting up. There is basically no noice isolation between the room and corridor and other rooms.

Staff was nice but not overly attentive. Our room was spacious but the floorboards creaked so much that I felt very sorry for the people staying in the room below us. We’re felt like we had to tiptoe. Hotel is very walkable to Victoria station and most attractions

Well located very close to Victoria station, yet on a quiet street. Friendly staff. The bed was super comfortble! Room is a bit small because the bed is nice and big (king size) but the bathroom was spacious. Other reviews are right - stupid shower arrangement - absolutely no need for giant rain style shower head in a cubicle half a meter squared. Impossible to adjust the water temp without flooding the bathroom and likely scalding or feeezing your arm. Very confusing also that one knob is for temp and the other for water flow. Fix this debacle of a shower and the place would be great!

Excellent stay and location! Very convenient- easily reachable from Victoria Station. Room is big for London's standards. Water pressure is amazing! Staff are welcoming. Only thing is we can hear the floor creaking above us....

I was given a room on the fourth floor and the lift wasn’t working. I didn’t have a problem with stairs generally, but the ones here included extremely narrow winding stairs up to a very heavy fire door which I had to navigate with my own suitcases and which frankly felt dangerous. The room was tiny, again not normally a problem but the shower in the bathroom was so small that you couldn’t turn it on without it leaking all over the floor or entering it and closing the shower door and having a cold shower. there is no way this is a four star experience.

Nice hotel. Great location. Our only complain is that the bed was shorter than expected. As a relative told me, "A British king size bed is like an American queen size bed." However, in this case, it wasn't so much width as length. A 6-foot person would have felt very uncomfortable. The room was compact, which probably made them take that decision. In other regards, the room was fine.

I really liked this hotel - the room was beautiful and clean and stylish, and big for the area and the price! I am just sad I had only booked one night, I could have stayed there for longer!

The hotel is tidy, well located in a very nice neighbourhood and convenient to transit and trains at Victoria station. Our room was tiny with virtually no space to unpack our bags forcing us to live out of our suitcases during our 5 night stay.

We loved our stay at the Tophams Hotel. Rooms are a bit small. Luckily, we didn't need the AC as it never really came on and the hairdryer only worked on certain outlets or would switch. Only compliant I had was at 5:30 AM on our departure date, we were unable to get in touch or hail a cab and there was no one at the front desk to help. Needless to say, we were slightly panicked trying to get back to airport on time.

My stay at Tophams overall was such a great experience! Especially being mine and my daughter’s first trip to London with a planned 10 days stay. The staff were great, very attentive, and personable. Checkin was quick as well as checking out. My stay at Tophams overall was such a great experience! Especially being mine and my daughter’s first trip to London with a planned 10 days stay. The staff were great, very attentive, and personable. Good location for our stay, and a nice building, clean rooms. Unfortunately the lift was broken, and we were put on the 3rd floor. The stairs to the third and fourth floor are very steep and with difficult bends (probably the old servant quarters back when it was a house), so not recommended if you're a bit unsteady. The hotel was short staffed, and those that were there not really very helpful. At time it appeared to be just one person.

We were very pleased with the price, location and convenience to the Underground. Staff was very helpful, friendly and the rooms were quite clean and well maintained. It is nice to find a location that fulfills all the needs we had for our stay without having to pay a ton! I would recommend Tophams to friends and certainly consider staying there again!

We got to Tophams early and the maid made a big effort to clean our room so we could get in early. The room was always immaculate when we returned after a day out and about. The front desk was great and the breakfast employees were very nice and accommodating. Thanks for a great stay. See you next December!

The location was perfect! Not even a mile to Buckingham Palace, Victoria Station and several restaurants and cafes. Beautiful neighborhood on Belgravia. The bed was comfortable and room size perfectly cozy for two. A large bathroom with shower and tub. All the amenities and staff were extremely nice and helpful. Very quaint and perfectly located. I’ll stay there again.

Tophams Hotel was an EXCELLENT choice for our three night London trip. The room is small, but contains everything we needed. The bed and pillows are inviting and encouraged a later wake up than planned. Location couldn’t be better as it sits a short walk from Victoria Station, a tube station with easy access to Heathrow Airport and connects to many tube lines, bus lines and trains. There is a Big Bus stop at the station also (convenient…. But I was very displeased with that service. More to come with my review of items purchased with City pass. We would definitely stay here again!!!

I never tried the bar offerings but there was tea and coffee in the room. The continental buffet breakfast was not complimentary but it was beautifully served by a friendly and helpful staff in lovely surroundings and was of very high quality … very nicely presented.

Hotel in general was okay. Purchased breakfast was good but limited in selection. Take note that standard double room is quite tiny with narrow steps down to the bathroom. Air conditioning was a bit challenging. On the upside, very convenient to the trains / tube and walkable to many major attractions. Would stay again but with a larger room.

Lovely hotel with very comfortable rooms, and almost spacious by London standards. Yea and cookies in the afternoon. Small cozy bar, but closes at 9:30p. Lots of coffee/tea options in the room with plenty of fresh milk restocked every day. Nice continental breakfast, but also a la carte options. Only downside is a la carte breakfast is quite slow. My last day after waiting 45 min for my omelet, and being assured multiple times it would arrive in 3 min, I finally gave up and left.

Room was very clean. Staff were incredibly helpful. My wife fell ill during our stay and they were so accommodating with room changes and delaying our departure etc. A fantastic location too. Highly recommend this hotel

She and the other staff gave us a warm welcome and treated us like we were family. This hotel is conveniently located near Victoria Station which made exploring different parts of London really easy. A special shout out to Rafaela for bringing help, energy and kindness to the evening shift. Thanks for arranging our 4am taxi to Heathrow. Only 2 things that added charm to our stay but I want to point out is that our shower was a little temperamental at times and turned very hot at will and the elevator only holds 2 people so may require a couple of trips with a lot of luggage and guests.
