Garage parking was great.

This is a great hotel. The location is extremely convenient. We love the garage parking. Rooms are very nice.

Well decorated property and rooms. However the internet was very unreliable and caused me major inconveniences. I had to leave to take a business meeting because I kept getting booted offline. Parking is easy but if the lot fills up you need to do street parking. Probably wouldn’t stay again but it was fine.

Descent hotel but be cautious, the walls are paper thin. We were awoken at 6am to hearing the next rooms alarms clock. The guests let the alarm go off continuously for thirty minutes while talking over it. They only silenced the alarm after I knocked on the wall and asked for them to turn it off. From 6am to check out we were unable to sleep as we loudly heard any & all conversations in other rooms & hallways. Parking- The very few parking spots in the covered garage were all taken. It’s not permitted to park for over 2 hours in all outside areas. We had to park far from the hotel and down the street.

I liked that this was not a chain hotel. Staff were excellent. Breakfast was just okay. Fitness center was small but had what I needed. I liked that the hotel was close to old town Newhall. Great vibe! I would stay here again!

The power went out when we stayed there. No lights or elevators were working. The free breakfast they had was unavailable due to the power outage. Not even coffee was available. Parking garage did not seem secure. Hotel staff did not ask for any car information to know if the cars parked were hotel guests. There were also not a lot of parking spaces in the garage and I had to park my car on the street one night. One good thing was the beds were very comfortable.

Excellent inside and FREE parking. Boutique hotel with coffee bar juice bar open 24:7. Quiet yet near freeways. Terrible breakfast!

Modern, quirky decor, very large rooms and bathroom. We did not get to experience use of the bar but it's a cool rooftop, outdoor space. Great location to dining and shopping. There is limited garage parking including spaces for EV charging. Street parking and parking in back lot. Nice staff.

I very much enjoyed the atmosphere and decor. They did not skip on decorating which was one of the main reasons I picked this hotel. I also enjoyed the rooftop bar as a place to hangout. And the free coffee and juice in the lobby was amazing. Friendly staff too. Would come again! My only complaint is the sink design in my room was very poor and the faucet is extremely close to the edge of the sink which causes water to get all over the counter top every time you wash your hands.

My first impression when I walked into the lobby was wow it smells clean and the staff was pleasant. I walk into my room and very first thing I find are bed bugs on the bed. I immediately wrapped a live bug in a tissue paper and went downstairs to the front desk. At first he was hesitant and told me that they couldn’t offer me any other room since they were fully booked. Then decided to offer me a different room (next door) only to realize a day later that they had given my room to another family. I felt extremely uncomfortable, wiping the room down doesn’t kill bed bugs. The room I was placed in was dusty. You can see the bathroom wasn’t properly cleaned, stains on the floor, hair everywhere and the shower walls were not clean. There’s an ice business across my window making noice throughout the morning and day time which made it hard to rest.

I loved the tile floors in our room but I could see a lot of hair in the corners and around the shower floor and toilet. My slippers got very dirty underneath but overall everything was clean. I was just surprised that the floors in our room wasn’t mopped at least once or twice during our stay. We like to remove our shoes upon entering the room. We left a tip everyday even though Expedia said the price we paid included daily cleaning. I was charged a $120 fee on my credit card and now I’m waiting for it to be refunded. We’re old people. We weren’t planning to party in the room. I didn’t like that we have to wait a while before receiving a refund. This is a total inconvenience. It’s a nice hotel. I was comfortable and the tile floors are nice. I hate carpet in hotels. I’m a germaphobe.

Staying there was a pleasant surprise. Everything was nice and clean and very comfortable. Check-in was very easy.

this was the cleanest hotel i've ever been in.. it had shower robe and slippers and the shower was big and had a shower head that actually work right.. the towels are big, the fridge and microwave worked.. with a large tv.. for the price you cant go wrong..

I have visited California for the last three years. I have stayed in a lot of five-star hotels, but hotel lexen is my overall choice. As a consumer, I was very happy with the overall professional service. Hotel was spotless. Room was spotless and very comfortable. I’m sold on this hotel.

Everything was perfect, the cleanliness was top notch. Beddings were every comfortable. All the accessories were in mint condition and new. Thank you for the hospitality. Keep up the standards.

Clean hotel, friendly staff

This place was quite nice. It’s actually spotlessly clean and the rooms are very large. The lobby area is very attractive and I felt very safe in the area.

Nice and clean

The hotel was great but its right next to the train tracks with heavy rail and also next to a busy street so lots of car engine noise. The windows don't seem to be able to handle the noise.

Clean hotel with very friendly and helpful employees. They had a nice continental breakfast that was included with the stay. Only downside is that it’s located off a main road, so our room was a bit noisy.

Checked into our room. Husband went to use restroom, wouldn't flush properly, the bathroom sink had low water pressure. Turned on shower and it was coming out like light rain drops. The floors in the room were very messed up and Everytime you stepped you can feel the flooring was coming undone. Called the front desk to ask about the toilet and water pressure issues, didn't get much help besides he could move us to the other side of the hotel but it was a lot noiser. No other solutioms were given. Tried to turn down the AC unit because it was hot in the room. Was programed only to go down a certain temperature to 68 degrees. Was needing it to be around 65 degrees since I'm pregnant. Uncomfortable night stay. Wouldn't stay again .

A hidden gem when it comes to hotels. The 2nd floor lounge and bar area was very nice. Rooms are clean and stylish.

Bubbled floors. Weird microwave light. Door to the patio didn’t open. Otherwise, it was clean, convenient, free parking, good location.

Our suite was really big....but filled horribly. The couch was smaller than a loveseat and left so much unused space in the room that could have taken a bigger couch and/or table. The bathroom had enormous empty space which made no sense and could have easily used a tub (which I would have paid extra for) or extra storage. We specifically chose the suite for the separate bedroom only to realize at night time that there was no door therefore no privacy for the bedroom. Lastly the water pressure was nearly non-existent making washing hair very difficult. Sadly, we probably won't stay there again due to these inconviences.

Parking is fine, the place is super cute and great location. However, because of the location you can hear street noise all night and the walls are paper thin. If you're going to party, it's perfect, but not a great place to get a decent night's sleep. Also, the beds are double, not queen, so cozy if you're used to something bigger.

The hotel itself is nice but don't stay here unless you want the staff opening your room door, see you naked and want to argue with you about checkout time wile your in front of them naked when I had already called downstairs to asked them if I could get late check out and they said yes

AJ at the front desk was very helpful and accommodating. His dinner recommendation was spot on. Our room was ready, so he let us check in an hour early.

Overall, my stay was nice. When I first arrived there was another patron waiting to check-in. We waited for 20 mins before the desk personnel returned. It seemed like just one person working/ managing the whole hotel. That’s a bit of a stretch. This isn’t the place if you want tranquility!! I was ok with it, bcuz I lived nearby for years, but buyer beware! Trains!!

I would strongly advise against any traveler to stay here. I have never been so disrespected in my life, and I’ve stayed at 100s of hotels all over the world. The Hotel Guests services Woman ( Liz) has diploma or behavior. Rude is an understatement. Upon check in, Liz was completely unfriendly and cold. My husband and I chose to ignore it, and went to check into our room. We used the cart to bring up our bags. We had a lot as a family of four ( with small children). I came down to return the cart. I went to put it in the lobby. Liz came and rudely reprimanded me “ Uhm the carts go outside!”. She said in a really snarky tone as she marched to push the cart outside. I had finally had it, and could no longer ignore her unnecessary rudeness . I told her she was coming off very rude, especially considering I was a guests in the hotel. She replied “ Thanks for letting me know” in a very sarcastic tone. I told her “ Wow, you don’t even care.” She replied “ I DON’T care!” And marched off like a teenager. I immediately went to find a manager. One of the other hotel staff members put me on the phone with the manager. He told me he was off and would follow up with me next day. He never did!! When I looked at the other horrible reviews this hotel had also about this same staff member, I realize my mistake was not reading all the reviews before staying. Don’t believe me? I invite you to read the other reviews of this place. There are also major safety concerns. Do NOT stay here.

Although my stay was extremely pleasant, property and staff were amazing, I will not be returning to this property, and will be making a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Upon check-in, I was advised of a hold that would be placed on my credit card. I agreed, this is common place, as I travel quite frequently. There was the charge for my two days stay. A second charge for the hold. The next day of my check out I noticed that it was not a hold, but rather a full charge. I was confused as this is not common place. I called the property and was advised that yes it would be a full charge, but they were releasing my funds back to me. I said that was fine. Five days later I still have a full charge and no credit back on my account. I called the property to inquire about it only to be told once again, they released it. Basically it’s out of their hands. I was told to contact my bank that it was up to my bank. I have spoken to my bank and they show no such credit in place coming to me from this property. I tried to explain that to the manager who was only interested in talking over me. I used one word of profanity, not placed at him, but in general. Not professional, and I truly do apologize. With that he decided to hang up. Upon calling the property back they would simply not speak and hang up. They had me on mute. I asked simply for the managers name, so I may make a complaint with the Better Business Bureau to hopefully get my funds back. They are refusing to speak to me

This is my go-to property for when I need a place to stay to visit magic mountain. Its close to the theme park (8 minute drive), has an adorable downtown area across the street, and the rooms are always immaculate for the price I pay.

Clean property, located near dining options. Easy access from the highway. Some road noise from busy street and railroad line across the street; I got used to it quickly.

Great location based on a stop on our way to LA, cute town with good restaurants walking distance. Would recommend to any friends or family! We really enjoyed the room and hotel!

The only downside of this property is it is across the street from the Train depot/station so you can hear the train whistle. The upside, it's convenient for travelers! The beds were comfy and the room was clean! Nice shower. Front desk very friendly and breakfast was very nice. Good coffee! I would stay here again as we did not get to explore the surrounding area, just downtown and very quaint.

This hotel met all of our expectations, except for breakfast and coffee. We had to go elsewhere for that.

Room was great with lots of amenities and staff very friendly. Easy parking. Only downside was the complementary breakfast which was just packaged pastries and yogurt.

We adored this facility and staff, loved the location and breakfast was excellent. We intend to come back several times this year, and will stay at this location every visit from here on out. Next time we would be interested in the rooms adjacent to the terrace bar.

Clean and nice rooms. Though it's right next to a train station so that was SUPER loud. Breakfast was so sad. All processed, low nutrient food.

I have no complaints about this hotel! It was reasonably priced for a Saturday night. Our room was very clean and the staff was friendly. The vanilla cappuccino from The machine (for free!) was delicious! And free continental breakfast!

The property was excellent except for the roof top bartender. He was the worst!! On his phone nonstop. Never smiled, looked like he could care less and was bothered that you even wanted a drink. We had about 50 people up there for a cocktail party for a 50th class reunion and everyone thought the same thing. He could have made a fortune in tips had he atleast tried to like his job.

Very nice hotel. It is newer, very clean and well maintained. They had a perfect lil breakfast in the morning to have a quick bite. The hotel does sit next to the train tracks, they give complimentary ear plugs, however we never used them, it was not a problem at all. They have a bar for happy hour, it was fun to have a drink and visit with other guests. You do have to pay for the drinks.

The Lexen is a fairly new hotel. It is extremely well maintained and clean. Staff was friendly and engaging. The only small complaint was the “complementary” breakfast. No eggs, waffles, fresh fruit, just microwave hot cereal, cold cereal, Svenhards danish and toast. Weak compared to other hotels. The coffee machine was a plus. Overall, I would highly recommend the Lexen but don’t expect much for breakfast.
