We forgot an item in the fridge. We called to request to keep it for us. We rang early enough 11am so that the room is not cleaned. We physically went back just to find out the cleaner threw the item away. They could have called us back and let us know. Bad customer service. The location is bad and no car park available even to just off load the luggage. We will not stay there again.

It was a total surprise. So good value for money. The room was spotlessly clean and had all we needed for a nights stay. Smooth check in. The lady on reception (sorry didn’t get a name) was efficient, informative and very friendly. The only down side is the parking. You have to park in the shopping centre carpark. This is split into north and south, we parked in the wrong one and had a big walk, trying to find the hotel.

I was very confused by the website's vague approach to the parking availability. "Parking available" meant a tiny spot at the back, if available, then walk around the block back to reception, or parking at the Broadway shopping centre for $46 a day. When I rang from my car I was answered very nicely but not helpfully and the second time told that Reception would ring me, which they never did. Having found the tiny car park I walked around to the reception where I was greeted very nicely but confusedly. My payment couldn't be found as I booked through Hotels.com but they were looking for an Expedia payment. The amount on my credit card differed from my receipt, which was in US$. I ended up paying again, then, when it came to get a refund it had to be done in 2 goes as they have a $200/d limit. The staff were uniformly lovely but the system was cumbersome and confusing. There was no a/c in the room and the facilities were basic (a mini fridge, a kettle). The bed was comfortable, it was clean, and the bathroom was adequate only.

This property was easy to central to where we wanted to be. No parking out front or on property and staff suggested local shopping centre. Arundel St, 4 mins walk away had free parking on Sunday only which was fine for us. Hotel room was basic and clean, no windows to the outside but fine for price. Staff were helpful and it was quiet. I’d stay there again.

Shower head was broken, and one of the beds had horrible stains on the sheets. Holes in the walls. Fire alarm batteries also needed changing and constantly beeped throughout the night. Walls super thin as well.

In my room there's an unrepaired hole in the wall. The phone didn't work, the fridge was warm, no closet, no control of room temp and it was cold. The bed is on rollers and you can't get in it without it rolling away from the wall. Corners for room were filled with dust and dirt. The carpets in the corridors were dirty and stained, many stains.

We only stayed one night. Staff were friendly, but the room had rubbish and stains I would t recommend for anyone. It’s dirty, no cutlery in rooms, milk left on top of fridge so no cold milk. I understand they are complimentary drinks but still.

Disappointing stay. The place looked reasonably modern but the room was let down by its lack of cleanliness and missing items. For example there were no tea spoons for tea and coffee. Milk was provided but after the room was serviced it was not topped up leaving us unable to have coffee the next morning. The biggest issues for us were the inability to set the air conditioning temperature in the room. It was too warm at night and couldn’t be adjusted. The shower water was the worst problem as it kept going from hot to cold for no obvious reason. It was not possible to have a decent shower and this is a deal breaker for a stay and hence the 2 stars.

-We got given the wrong room - Twin room instead of Queen -The temperature in the room was not able to be changed and it was quite hot. -A noisy fan ran all night inside our room as part of the HVAC. -Beds were very uncomfortable and rolled around the room easily. -No lights in hallway to lift -Shower drain was blocked and flooded the entire bathroom, which was wet all night. -Staff we met were nice, but the computer system was down which made it difficult to check in.

The only issue I have is the ventilation in the room and on the floor that we are at (the top floor). It's always very warm in the afternoon and mornings, making it quite uncomfortable when you come back from outside. I understand it's central control but some kind of regulation should be installed for individual rooms.

Stayed here for 1 night this weekend in a standard queen. Room was spacious and bed was comfy. However, it was an inside room with no windows which was not clealy stated in the booking window. It‘s also bit of a walk to the city centre. Was good for the night but next time, I may do some more research as I don’t like rooms with no natural light.

The room provided had no windows and this was a major issue, the staff told me this after the payment was made. The condition of the room was very disappointing, cutlery unwashed, lights not working and noisy AC which had to be kept on all night since there was no air circulation or exhaust fans. It was so depressing that we left after the first day and have since written to the manager? to request a refund for the second day, given that I checked out on Sunday morning by 10 am.This hotel should not be recommended to anyone, we found an alternative and paid again for the second night, this was proper hotel, the Sydney Central Hotel..brilliant. Please let me know how I can pursue my refund since I have had no response from them as of yet. Regards, Patrick Thiedeman.

I have to chamge room because in the first the blackout curtain had a gap and did not protect against street light. The second room there was not milk in the fridge. In both bedrooms were not sound proof as could hear all noise from outside.

Staff were excellent, polite patient and kind. Room was cool, clean, quiet and comfortable. The streets were very dirty but that is just Sydney in most places. As soon as you open the door to the reception desk, it was very clean and welcoming. Will be back again.

The property is very convenient to the University of Sydney and to the shops and restaurants on Broadway. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, my room was right on the busy street with a street light outside my window. The curtains did not cover the window making the room very bright through the night and a lot of street noise filtered through.

The hotel looks out onto a busy road and doesn’t have double glazing, so don’t stay here if the traffic noise will be an issue for you. The booking specified free breakfast, but when I asked about this the staff just looked mystified and said that there was no breakfast.

This hotel is great, however there is no way you can fridge anything as the fridge is super tiny , no cooking supplies, we stayed for a week and we had to eat out everyday just due to this, everything else was fabulous :)

Convenient location but pity about the service and fact it is poorly run. Pity reception is do large but rooms are so small. Consider re doing reception as no breakfast is served per their signage. Small room with no window for $400? I requested a room with window but they said only double bed has that so does that mean those travelling and require separate beds never get a window room ? Yet the beds are on wheels - it also costs $40 more for a window. Breakfast contained a packet of cereal, boxed orange juice and boxed milk - not 15 worth. Had to keep asking for breakfast box, had to keep asking for new towels and asked for toilet paper - indicative that there is no customer service or being aware that these are just basic automatic. People on reception appeared to do nothing and were obviously bored. A doona is merely covered by a sheet as they do not have a doona cover. Sheets are done terribly - either tucked in so tight one cannot move or in pulling out the sheets - all sheets and doona fall to the floor. The constant internal sound of the heating temperature all day and night is enough to drive anyone mad.Given the above the room was worth $89 not $400. Good location though.
