Just a lovely quiet spot to relax. A well stocked store within walking distance and also restaurants. And of course the lake and amazing beach again within walking distance.

Our stay at the Naramata Centre was disappointing. We paid hotel rates for an experience that was one level above camping. The Expedia site needs a rewrite to more accurately communicate the type of accommodation that is being offered. We were given an upgrade on check-in. The upgrade was likely in square footage, but not in style. The cottage was a very rustic cabin that didn’t reflect any of the photos on Expedia. Our cottage was like a family cabin that hadn’t seen improvements since the 1950s. We expected no air conditioning, but the dead bugs in the bathtub every morning, the requirement to remove our garbage/recycling and wash our dishes to avoid a cleaning fee, were unexpected. Towels were plentiful yet well-worn. No shampoo. A broom and dustpan greeted us by the front door. This location requires a 2 night minimum, so while we stayed both nights we argued whether we should ask for a refund and find a hotel. It seems unfair to charge hotel rates for overly rustic and minimalistic accommodation. In a closer look at the reviews (yes, lesson learned), there is ample information in the Centre replies to guest concerns. Much of this information should be added more openly to the Expedia site description and information. The photos on the Expedia site may feature their updated rooms, but that wasn’t our experience. Naramata is a gorgeous region. If you are considering accommodations at the Naramata Centre, know what you’re getting into first.

Stayed 2 nights

This place is run by a religious cult community over 200 a night didnt even have AC ... two tiny gutless fans. Shows a picture of the beach, well the room was way far away from the beach. Asked for a refund for the second night as i couldnt even comfortably sleep and now expedia says they wouldnt make an exception and refund me even though they implied that they would. Guess their going to hell after all.
