The good, bad and fyi.... Fyi - there is no hotel parking and valet is $45/day. At times there was only one person working valet and it took 15 to 20 minutes to get my car. So request your car early if you're in a hurry. Also, be sure to check your receipt when you check out. They charged me twice for Saturday ($80 total) but I caught it before I left. Went back in to ask about it and the lady said "you asking me what happened". Well duh... she was the only one at the desk so ummm yeah 🙄. There is no pool at all, and the rooftop deck (on the second floor) had seating and a fire pit but the pit was never lit during my 5 night stay. They clean the rooms every other day unless you request it. I saw a few homeless people which doesn't bother me, just fyi. The Good - rooms are spacious and clean with built-ins. My room was huge in the corner of the building, #509. All of the '09 rooms on each floor are the same. Beds are not as comfortable as stated in some of the other reviews, but it wasn't bad. The bar area is nice and cozy. They have board games, cornhole etc. in the bar area as well. Breakfast was delicious with many items to choose from, and they have real eggs 😋. Overall, nice hotel just not the best area. The Bad - while I loved my big nice cozy corner room, I was so disappointed to find out there is a nite club across the street and once it closed, no more sleep for the night. From 12 midnight to 4am, all I heard was loud music, talking, cursing, cars burning rubber.

Visited Homewood Suites by Hilton Charlotte Uptown to attend a Charlotte Hornets game with my mother for her birthday. This hotel is in a very convenient location within walkable distance from the arena and many restaurants. The bar lounge was a nice area to hangout after the game. Valet parking was $45 per night with unlimited access to your vehicle. The breakfast included with stay was pretty decent too.

Immediately after checking in we noticed that are room was unclean. The floor had dirt on it, counter tops had dirt spots and residual food stains left over from the last guest, white marks on the night stand and hair on the floors. I informed front desk and they provided two alternative rooms. I checked out the 2nd room, similar issues with cleanliness. I checked out the 3rd room along with a staff member from the hotel and room was dirty (I.e. pubic hairs in the shower, dirt on floors). The front desk was extremely apologetic for the poor job done by housekeeping. The sad part is that these 3 rooms were all on different floors implying that cleanliness for the entire hotel is a major problem. My family and I ended up checking out that same day and cancel our reservation. I would strongly NOT recommend this hotel.

The building is new an modern and the room size was adequate. The breakfast was better than most in this hotel category. The attention to detail in cleaning was not good- dog hair was found in multiple places, the liquid soap dispenser in the shower was virtually empty, dishes had been left in the dishwasher and the wall where the tv was mounted had been damaged in several spots and quickly painted over with non-matching paint. Also, the $45 per night valet parking fee seems excessive, but it didn't look safe to try parking outside of the facilities.

Some of the dirtiest/lazy cleaned rooms I’ve stayed in. Even after complaining and having them come clean the floors again it didn’t look much better and they didn’t bother to mop. Had to put towels down everywhere to walk, otherwise feet would be sticking to the floor. Front desk and valet were good. The hotel is new and shouldn’t be in this condition.

I was surprised at how nice this property was. Rooms are designed like a mini apartment with electric burners, fridge, dish washer, pots/pans etc everything you need. There’s also a mini snack bar and a free included buffet breakfast (I wasn’t a fan of the food very salty but it’s nice they at least had something). The staff was super friendly and the hotel was very clean. My room was facing a parking lot so it was quiet for me in the evening time (I know other reviews said otherwise but the noise was no issue for me). The area is a bit sketchy but I would be Uber especially if you’re a female and alone.

Overall I like the homewood suites chain for reasonable prices and full kitchen. The suites are good size, especially for the money. There are frequently issues with heating/cooling in my experience for some reason, and in this case the heating system worked well but was extremely noisy. Enough to disturb my sleep despite ear plugs. The staff was nice and efficient. Worth mentioning they also have free coffee (round the clock) and breakfast. So definitely a worthwhile consideration for a stay in charlotte uptown

Check in was not great the girl at the front desk had a terrible attitude and seemed to really dislike her job. I wasn’t aware I had to have my physical card to pay for the room and couldn’t use tap to pay or Apple Pay but could use my debit card tap to pay 🤔also didn’t know there was a $200 deposit and a $45 a night valet only parking. The room was nice along with the view water pressure was like you were being rinsed off by a water pic. Nice bar and breakfast buffet, very close to the train station (just a block or so away) but the room next to mine had a very young baby who cried nonstop all weekend, and it was one of those shareable rooms with the attaching door. It was a very loud/noisy stay because of that but taking nothing away from the hotel, I would recommend this place.

Inside: The property is very nice inside with a full 'fridge, a two burner stove, a dishwasher and an oven. The bathroom and bed area are very nice with nice lighting (motion activated lights in some places). The sofa is a little awkward, both in placement and size (it is a very shallow couch, not really lounge-worthy). But the couch is the only complaint I have about the room. Outside: The property is in a developing area, so there is a lot of construction. However, there are also a lot of new hotels, condos, etc. in the area. There is a nice park right behind the property, and a venue with lots of dining options about a block over. There are other bars and grills within walking distance and a city train stop very close. This is a great location to explore a bit of Charlotte. Parking: There is a valet for parking, but I didn't know that and parked in a lot on the side of the property. At the time of this posting, it was $14 for 10 hours.

My room was already occupied upon my arrival. They had to give me the spare room. When they rebooked me (because of my originally booked room already having been occupied) they decreased the duration of my stay without telling me, so I was told to check out one day earlier in the middle of my shower. I rectified it with the front desk after much proving of my original booking. Even after showing them the proof, they said “we’ll just have to take you at your word”. This was a horrible check in and check out process. No coordination. No one knew anything.

The hotel made me wait 45 minutes to get towels. The Valet couldn’t find my car when it was time to check out. I called the hotel to express my disappointment and the manager did not even seem to care or offer an apology. I do not recommend this hotel!! They suck!!

While the facilities were excellent, we were awoken by the room next to us having a loud argument around 2am. After about 15 mins of noise, we called the front desk and told them there were men and women screaming explicitly beside us. The desk said they would send security up, but after 30 mins of continued screaming and loud noises, no one had came. We then went down to the front desk, after another 40 mins security arrived and seemingly escorted the guests out. While the noise itself is not the hotels fault, there seemed to be no hurry to checkout the noise, and the potential safety threat that was occurring. Because of this we lost sleep and felt unsafe. Again, the facilities are very nice and clean, but this situation left us with a bad taste.

Our first time in Charlotte, and this property was perfect! The proximity to area restaurants and the Spectrum Center made our first visit very easy and enjoyable. Walkable to many downtown attractions. There was a lot of construction happening around the hotel. Though the area is safe, it doesn't feel like it! Parking is by valet parking only, so its a hassle if one wants to use their vehicle a lot, during the stay, may have to pay tips a lot of times and also a wait for the car to be brought upfront. They do have a mobile help to help with the valet parking which is convenient. The approach to the hotel is quite bad, no signs telling customers where the main entrance is and where the reception counter is and where to pull in from the main road. The alley to the front desk is a single lane shared by another apartment complex, so if there are people ahead of you, then one has to circle around, since the main road is a busy one way road! Breakfast was decent with a view to the downtown buildings. Rooms not that spacious but adequate. The hallways were clean and the reception area interiors were quite nice.

The property was beautiful and well-maintained. The staff were perfect and incredibly helpful. However, the food was absolutely horrible. Public schools are fed better than the breakfast I received there. The ice machine produced a foul tasting ice, which makes me question the cleanliness of the ice machine itself or the water filtration system.

This was a new and very clean hotel. The staff were friendly. However, the staff and management did not manage the volume of people in the hotel- breakfast was not stocked well. We got to the breakfast 45 min before it closed- there was no coffee and most food was gone. Also they had valet service only and did not have staff to cover it. When we tried to leave Sunday am at 11am after check out, we waited 50+ min for them to get our car. Bottom line- this hotel needs to be managed better.

We were not able to use the hotel. Couldn’t park anywhere. Went to pull to the side of the building and a police officer told us we couldn’t park here. Explained I was checking in then would move. They said couldn’t leave the car. Called the hotel (it was 10pm), no one answered. Spent money on a room and didn’t get to use it. I don’t know what was going on in town that evening but there was zero parking around the hotel that we could use.

Very quiet room and bed quite comfortable. The TV was a bit of a challenge as it seemed there were only a handful of channels available. Breakfast was quite good. It would be nice to have some drinking glasses in the room. Overall a very nice stay and convenient location.
