The property was amazing, clean, trendy, and modern. The bar was cool, and the small buffet breakfast was good. The gym is tiny with minimal equipment, but it wasn't the end of the world. the only issue is the drug addict zombies walking around on the streets outside. FYI the hotel hires there own security and locks the outside doors at night which only your room key can open.

Absolutely love this hotel chain. It’s very secure. It had a nice parking garage nearby. Room was always clean and I had great service from everyone. Every door requires a room key, so nobody can go up the elevator key or at night to enter the front door. There is no damage fee on your card. You only pay for your room. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a more intimate hotel and not too much space.

Stayed at CitizenM for the 40th LA Marathon. Exceeded expectations! The room was small but rather cozy. Lights, temperature, TV were all controled by the room iPad. Big safe for personal storage (big enough to fit a 14" inch laptop (maybe as large as 17"). Breakfast buffet was quite generous in selection (4 hot items, at least 1 item was rotated), and the lobby ambience was very vibing. Always a security guard at night and the doors require keycard access during that time for safety. Allows for package delivery but you must be checked in already before they sign for it. Definitely will go back to this chain in the future!

I've now stayed here twice and will continue to when in DTLA. Staff is super friendly, the common area is conducive to the working professional and is so well decorated it is delightful to just hang out in and enjoy the bar for a drink or an espresso.

Great modern metro sleek hotel! What you would expect from LA’s urban edge and city view beauty! But this fascinating self checkin concept dosnt come without downfalls that other moder usual hotels offer. No hotel parking or bell service. A drink at there inviting bar makes up for it!

Did not have breakfast and did not know it was free until I completed this survey. It was not mentioned during check in. The facility is very clean as was our room. The room was small so if one is looking for it to be spacious you won’t find it here. The bathroom sink is very small, typical of a European sink. Loved the iPad technology for curtains, blinds, lights and media! Lobby and hallways are very clean. The area this hotel is located in is not the best or cleanest part of downtown LA. The Grand Central Market is right around the corner which is a must see. There is no hotel parking but several lots in the vicinity. I finally used the app, Spot Hero on our 2nd day put arrival and found an unattended, uncovered lot a block away for $19 fur almost 24 hours with in/out privileges. Felt perfectly safe. I told the desk staff about the app so when guests ask in the future about parking they can recommend the app. Must parking lots don’t allow in/out privileges.

Recomended place to stay in downtown LA. I love the ambience, nice and very helpful staff, clean room. Love the smell of the toiletries too. Will definitely comeback if I visit LA again.

The room was small but it had everything you needed. The way it was laid out with hidden storage was thoughtful. I also enjoyed reading the copy on the shampoo and soap bottles etc. Would definitely stay again and will be checking out other CitizenM hotels too!

I stayed at this CitizenM hotel for the weekend (Friday-Sunday) and had a major issue with my reservation. The hotel accidentally checked us out a whole day early, which led to a frustrating and inconvenient experience. When we returned to the hotel on Saturday night around 11 PM, our room key didn’t work—not just for our room but for the hotel entrance as well (since a key is required for late-night access). After finally being let inside, the staff informed us that a guest had given our room number when checking out early, so they assumed we had left. Instead of verifying with us, they removed our access. They did allow us back into the room to get our belongings but refused to issue a new key, which meant we had no real access to the room we had paid for. The lack of accountability and solution from the hotel was extremely disappointing. While the hotel itself is modern and stylish, the mishandling of our reservation and the inconvenience it caused left a bad impression. If you’re considering staying here, be aware that mistakes like this could completely derail your trip. Would not stay here again based on this experience.

Absolutely the best hotel experience I have ever had. From decor to service, the entire stay was 1000% worth it. The staff went beyond to make sure my business trip had everything I needed, from conference rooms, accomodations to my guests etc... Hands Down, the best LA has to offer!

There was a small hiccup at first upon checkin but the staff was able to turn a potentially bad situation into a good one and recover. I love the lobby and the pop art themes throughout the hotel. The bed is very comfortable. Everything was convenient to commute to. I would definitely stay again.

Check in was problematic and I’m still not sure why. My stay was paid for through Expedia but they asked for a credit card and for some reason it was declined despite the bank telling me there were no holds on the card. I was not able to check into a room I paid for until the “manager” came over and did something. Outside of that everyone else was super friendly and the hotel is amazing

the staff here were amazing, friendly and exceptional hosts-- truly don't think i'd go back for anything except those people. SO kind, welcoming, inviting, charismatic. PLEASE let them know how valued they are. my actual hotel room was not to my liking at all, it was dirty under the toilet (un-identifiable goop) and the bed was comparable to a futon, just really hard. the whole controlling your room with an ipad was cool, sort of loses its cool factor after five minutes and you realize how you're basically in a small closet. i don't think i'll stay at another citizenm, or at least not in a room that small, i think they offer bigger ones. also 22 for breakfast which is essentially what you could get for free or a lot cheaper at other places, was really mid. chicken sausage should be illegal, i will say the bacon was fire.

The hotel itself is amazing. Very bright, lots of artwork, friendly staff. It’s just unfortunate that they don’t have designated parking. There is a parking structure conveniently right next door but very expensive. There are others further away but more affordable. Great place to stay if not planning to take your own vehicle.

Area its in is rough. Bus stops for 4 routes right across the street and they lock the hotel doors at 7pm and you must use your room key to gain entry.

Loved my stay at citizenM Downtown LA. Rooms are compact but modern, with comfy beds and great showers. The lobby is stylish, with plenty of space to relax or work. The rooms were quaint clean and pleasantly modern . JP the night manager accommodated us and made us feel extremely welcomed . I give the morning bar staff an A+ as well . Excellent coffee and breakfast buffet. All around a great experience. Highly recommended.

I had a relaxing stay! All of the staff were courteous and present, breakfast had limited options but the offerings were delectable and wide ranging for different tastes. I loved that anything from the cafe was also free with breakfast. The hotel itself is very artsy and cozy.

I would give the hotel an excellent except we were there for a week and more than 1/2 the time they were out of some main things on the menu like chips and chicken and 1 of the 2 pizzas and nachos. When you have a hotel with limited food items and more than half the time you’re out that kinda sucked. But the staff was awesome and the rooms were clean. The area outside wasn’t but that is the hotels fault
