For the price, it's good. nothing special. It has 2 buildings on both side of street. We were at the cross street side, which is much less people and quieter. We just passing by for a night, easy going. wifi is good.

Sparsely furnished and has simple basics for an overnight stay where you don't expect to lounge around in the room for a day. Clean and relatively inexpensive which is what we were looking for. Quiet and plenty of parking.

The staff was all very kind. The room was cleaned well enough. I think if they got rid of the carpet and put hard floors in the petfriendly rooms my rating would go up. The room smelled so badly of urine I went and bought a pet odor candle and a small room fan. If you place the candle behind the fan it blows good smells about. I did not let anything touch the floor. (Including my dogs.) I've also never stayed at a hotel that uses regular key locks.

The managers Lisa and Brian are super friendly. They are locals and helped us find cool fun spots for the fourth and easy beach access locations. This is a pet friendly spot with no issues, no extra hassle. Lisa let us borrow some camping chairs since we forgot ours in Washington which was nice. For what we paid we are happy. We spent most of our stay out and about but the room included clean towels, sheets, soap etc. Wifi worked and we had no issues whatsoever. Not crazy fancy but clean, secure and friendly.

Motel is undergoing renovation, specifically in the room next to mine, which mean getting up in the morning early whether I wanted to or not. Water shut off a couple of times. Waited half an hour for the manager to get to the office to check in.

Property was in rough shape. The room was okay, but the floors were dirty, the bed creaked a lot from very little movement, the TV didn't work, the WiFi was unusably slow, and the doorframe was severely damaged (looked like someone had tried to break in). The room had no A/C, but was cool enough to sleep. The people around the motel looked unsavory. The front desk staff was kind and helpful, but my wife was not happy with the room as a choice for accomodations. I would likely not come back.

They have designated “pet” rooms and they arent as well maintained as the non pet rooms but thats understandable. Overall the place has a comfortable vibe. I do wish they had AC because with the amount of smokers and people doing drugs, leaving the window open isnt an option. Getting rid of the smokers and addicts would definately make this place better.

Enjoyed this property very much. There were a few small things in the room that were broken but nothing bad just a towel bar and some trim that had been chewed by a dog. But we had dogs so didn’t mind. For the price I would stay here again.

Parking is easy. Room was not clean. Didn't notice till 11pm when we decided to go to bed. After having car problems on are family trip.Blood stains on some pillowcase and sheet. Found pet hair on pillowcases dirty walls. Shower curtain in bathroom hasn't been cleaned in ages. It looks like. With water and soap spots on it along with mold growth it looks like. Took pics of everything

Absolutely disgusting. A little worse than a “you get what you pay for” option-since one night still cost me $171. Not many hotels accept dogs in Newport & with a last minute decision to stay overnight, we ended up here with most places being booked. Reviews are misleading because this place was not it- not even decent. First things first, room smelled AWFUL. Maybe a smokers room?? But it smelled of something else- like a strong stench of something foul. Everything from the table, bedside table to the dresser and the headboards- covered in dust. Bedside table had a large dried up grape (YUM!) bathroom counter had various hairs on it, sink was filthy and looked like there were toothpaste stains all over the faucet, shower had hairs and was not well maintained because it was just gross looking. Not sure if it was mold on the cracked ceiling with peeling plaster on the ceiling above the shower, but pretty certain it was! Headboard had what looked like snot. Walls were even filthy. Like come on! We refused to stay and asked for a refund. The lady at the counter wasn’t rude or anything but it almost seemed like she didn’t believe me. I was also bothered that where was nothing she could give me to reassure me that I would actually be getting a refund. Just a “you’ll get an email about it in 24-48hrs” still waiting on said email. Let’s hope i get my money back. We ended up splurging on a switch over to the Elizabeth Oceanfront Suites. Talk about an upgrade. That place was a 10/10.

After hauling our bags up the rickety stairs and trying to settle in, we started discovering how unclean this room was. Then my daughter found bed bugs, after pulling back the sheets. First one, then two more. I called the front desk but they did not answer - apparently after 9pm they will not do so. It was about 9:03. I walked across the street but the lobby was locked. Faced with the possibility of a night in an unclean rickety motel room with bed bugs, I made the call to vacate and find other accomodations. Since I had booked through Hotels.com, I called them to express my complaints. They were unable to get a hold of the manager either. They did follow up over the following days, but the motel adamantly refused to offer any sort of compensation or refund. You should absolutely not stay here. In fact, it is my opinion that Expedia should delist this property.

The room was dirty. Stains on the sheets. Some kind of stains in the bathtub. The shower head was literally taped to the wall. There was only one working light in the whole damn room. All the lamps had no lightbulbs. Unfortunately we were too tired to complain the night we came in and were only there the one night.

We couldn't check in as there was no staff there when we arrived and we had to wait until one drove back from a break. The room had dirty sheets, what looked like a mouse dropping and strange specks in the shower. The room smelled gross, especially to my smell-sensitive, pregnant wife. We booked a room somewhere else before we unpacked a thing. Upon returning the room key, i was informed that there was 0 chance of receiving a refund, so now we're out that money.

It was fine. The bathroom wasn’t bad but there was no soap at all, the whole place was generally clean enough to handle but not the best. Beds/sheets were fine though. The mini fridge leaked water and wasn’t really cold. They did move us to a 2 queen room instead of our 1 queen for free though, since our original room wasn’t ready at check in, which was nice. It was right on the highway and definitely pretty loud.

Pet friendly, near all sorts of shops, shopping and the beach. Excellent location. Very clean room, good accommodations, comfortable beds. Fridge and micro in rooms. Our micro went out and they immediately replaced it with a brand new one. There is baseboard heating but no need for it. Nice big window to let in the amazing ocean breeze. The building/rooms are old but everything works and is well kept. Would definitely stay again.

Okay rooms. Dirty linens. Very old and out dated rooms. 1980's modeled and painted. Shower was difficult to adjust water temperature. A lot of traffic noise. No air conditioning. So, opening the 1 widow made it to noisy to sleep.

Being honest, the room smelled a little bit like smelly feet and the bed was TOTALLY broken on one side. However, I was traveling alone and was able to sleep on the other side which was not as bad, and I liked how close it was to everything as well as tv options (on demand, how luxurious!) Overall not an awful pick if you don't mind dogs barking a bit at night (I'm sure the desk person would have told the neighbors to quiet their dogs, I was too close to sleep to ask but they did wake me up a few times barking and anxiously pacing around at 3 am.)

The room itself wasn’t the greatest but for the price it was well worth it. I didn’t get checked in tell midnight and the gentleman that answered my call right away greeted me with a big smile and was very kind! Thank you Sir!

We got upgraded to a nicer room since ours wasn't ready when we arrived. The receptionist was really sweet as well. We stayed for one night and it was nice. There were a few issues that were out of the staff's control like people smoking pot and being loud in the rooms but otherwise it was great. If they tighten up on the pot smoking in and around the rooms the stay would be more comfortable but the staff can't control everyone. Overall the stay was great on the part of the hotel!

Very inexpensive. Quiet-set back from highway and no other guests bothered us. No a/c but don’t need it at the coast this time of year (late June). Clean. Let us check out late for no extra fee. Lady at reception very friendly and polite. Close to everything you need. Only complaint was rough sheets and lady at desk fixed that right away. Bring your own bedding/pillows if you want more comfort. It was a great deal.

Pet friendly, near all sorts of shops, shopping and the beach. Excellent location. Very clean room, good accommodations, comfortable beds. Fridge and micro in rooms. Our micro went out and they immediately replaced it with a brand new one. There is baseboard heating but no need for it. Nice big window to let in the amazing ocean breeze. The building/rooms are old but everything works and is well kept. Would definitely stay again.

Motel is undergoing renovation, specifically in the room next to mine, which mean getting up in the morning early whether I wanted to or not. Water shut off a couple of times. Waited half an hour for the manager to get to the office to check in.

The staff at check in were very nice. Room was clean. Place is outdated. Right on Hwy 101, so very noisy. For the price it was as expected. I would stay thete again.

Hello, I was a guest at your hotel on Thursday July 18th. I checked in around 630 PM . Went to the room for a quick minute then left to get some things from the store.returned around 830. Went back into the room and took a quick nap. Around 810 I woke up and went to use the bathroom. I was grossed out .. the toilet had dried splattered feces in the bowl. So disgusting.. I then checked the rest of the room. There was food on the floors.. peanuts paper etc.. the sink had not been cleaned, there is dried coffee in the coffee pot. The microwave is cover in greasy fingerprints. The whole room is quite disgusting. I went to tell the feont desk. He immediately walked if I wanted a refund and check out.. well thats great but its now 830 PM and almost all the Hotels in the area arw full. He said yiu should have told me sooner. We'll I didn't realize earlier it wasn't cleaned. . He offered no apology. I guess it was my fault.. I know its not a 5 star hotel but I expect it to be clean. I'm afraid my pillow cases haven't been changed either. I told him that and he didn't offer to give me clean ones!!!!. So disappointed in the whole experience. He could have comped me the room or a partial refund .. gave me clean pillow cases or even came over and cleaned up the room real quick. Where is customer

I called the property and told the fellow on the phone that due to a family emergency, we had to cut our vacation short. This fellow told me he would cancel our reservation and not charge my credit card. When I saw my bank statement, Summer Wind Budget Motel did, in fact, charge me for the whole reservation. Very disappointed!!!

For the price, it's good. nothing special. It has 2 buildings on both side of street. We were at the cross street side, which is much less people and quieter. We just passing by for a night, easy going. wifi is good.

The motel is fine for a one-night stay. The walls are thin and it’s located on a fairly busy road, but also near a grocery store and other convenient businesses. The room seemed clean enough and amenities include a microwave, a small refrigerator, and a small drip coffee-maker that worked for cup noodles. Our room didn’t have towels at first, but when we called reception someone brought them for us. Unfortunately there was also only one hanger in the room.

Great stay for a budget motel. Room was clean, staff was nice and accommodating. Location was superb! Would stay again. The bed was a little hard, though: a mattress topper and a couple extra pillows would go a long way!

Pictures in the ad show the beach the ocean unfortunately I didn’t look at the actual property and the property is nowhere near the ocean. I think it’s misleading, but the rooms did not say oceanfront property Ocean view still put a picture of ocean on the front page was misleading. Their room was not very good shape. The threshold between the bathroom and the sleeping area was loose and my wife tripped over it. It’s coming apart at the same. The towels were not clean and there’s Uchino coffee.

Very clean hotel for the price everything else was $200 more it's not fancy but it's a decent clean room good shower nice bed and TV right on 101 but you really don't hear the road only downfall no AC but other than that the staff are great I will definitely stay there again for the price

Very helpful staff place was really clean and the rooms were nice and spacious good good deal for the price also I even left my laptop charger there call them a couple days later and they were able to mail it to me so great customer service thanks guys
