OYO Hotel Lamberton Hwy 14

This is an older building that has been refreshed. It is clean and the staff are friendly and accommodating. We really enjoyed staying here.

Nothing really unique but i dont care it was a room which had beds, TV, fridge etc. There was nothing outstanding about the place but nothing bad about it either. Sure it could use some sprucing up in certain areas but i never once was like i wouldnt stay here again. Owner was very friendly and we felt safe the whole time. So overall it was priced fairly and provided us with what we needed which was a place to sleep after we were out all day exploring the area.

10/10 would stay again. While it could use updates, the property supplies everything you'd need for a motel stay. Cable TV, microwave, mini fridge, plenty of outlets, great lighting, coffee maker suitable for k cups. Given inflation I definitely feel that the cost to amenity ratio was perfect for what I was looking for. And a shoutout to supplying an array of coffee brands!!! There are also a good amount of places to eat in the area and the owner provides a really detailed binder of this. The grocery store in town is stocked with everything you'd need.

Next door neighbors had hunting dogs that barked and howled a lot. They had left them alone in the room when they went out.

This is the cleanest and most well kept motel I have ever stayed in, especially for its age. Super charming. Highly recommend. No frills but extremely clean and comfortable. Whoever manages this property clearly takes pride in a job well done and it shows!

It was an old-fashioned strip motel with each room having its own outside door. Very clean, bed was comfortable, good Wi-Fi, water pressure was good and plenty of hot water! We stayed on a very warm night, and the air conditioning was excellent.

Nice little roadside motel. I would stay there again. Is pet friendly.

The rooms were very clean. The bed was comfortable. Good, strong shower. Quiet. Older motel, but well maintained and clean!

The room was classically old, but very clean. The website indicated hair dryers, but they're not in the rooms. We had to go ask for one at the office, which isn't convenient when your hair is wet! We're used to free breakfast and other amenities, but all in all, if you need a clean and comfortable place to sleep, this is fine!

Place is very clean and quite. Would definitely come back if i ever visit the area again.

This is our third year in a row staying here for pheasant opener. Pleasant and very clean. Coffee in the rooms!

I look for room cleanliness: floor, sheets & bathroom clean, All were good.

The room was non smoking, but u could still smell cigarette smoke from room next door, discusting being wakened by that smell Thank u

The sheets had a wonderful just laundered smell and were very crisp and clean. Bed was comfortable. Great water pressure in the shower and plenty of hot water. We never saw a soul during our 1 night stay. The key was in the door when we arrived and we dropped it off in a basket at the desk the next morning where no one was present. Very strange but not inconvenient.

It was very close to Walnut Grove, which was our destination. The room was clean, and well-maintained, and the bed was very comfortable.

Stayed overnight on a Sunday. Absolutely no services in this town on Sundays. The only food option was gas station pizza across the highway. We had to wait at the check-in area for someone that spoke English to arrive. Rooms were clean and the A/C kind of worked. OK for an overnight stay, but there are better places further along the highway......

The door lock was broken (non existent) so we couldn’t lock the door at bedtime from the inside. We stacked a chair and dresser in front of the door for our safety. Front desk admitted it was broken and said someone “might” fix it this week. Very negligent

Wonderful family owned, good mattress and pillows, good air conditioning on a hot and humid summer day, felt safe and secure.

My room shared a door with the room next door, and I could hear every word of their phone call, so not a lot of sound proofing. But starting around 9:30 p.m., everything was really quiet.

Boy, does this place take me back to my childhood when places like this were the norm. A cute, little roadside motel that was so common in the 1960s/70s, before the generic and bland chain hotels took over. Though dated (obviously), the room was clean and comfortable. The service was very good and the one staff member that checked me in was friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed the "throwback" feel of this place, and felt a real sense of nostalgia staying there. We need more places like the Lamberton Hotel.

We never ended up staying at OYO as in error I booked the incorrect check-in date by 1 day. I was unaware of this until one of the hotel staff called me at 9:15PM the night before we thought checkin was to see if we were coming. At that point I realized my error and asked the gentleman to change my checkin date to the following evening…..his reply was this was a non-refundable reservation and I would need to call Expedia. This motel is in a town of under 800 people and you would expect a more courteous attempt to make a customer happy. I wasn’t trying to get my money refunded I just needed my checkin date moved 1 day later. The only reason I can think that a motel would call to see if you were coming was to allow them to book the room that was already reserved, I have no proof of that just my assumption. We still went to the museum in Walnut Grove but we refused to stay at this hotel and pay them any more money. Extremely disappointed in the lack of customer service, something I wouldn’t expect at all from a small town business. I did contact Expedia for help but they couldn’t get anyone at the hotel to answer the phone that late at night and I didn’t get anymore communication from them either after 20 hours from my initial contact with Expedia. We ended up driving out of our way to stay over at another motel and don’t book through Expedia or OYO. Just a bad experience. I totally understand I evidently made a 1 day error on my check-in date but give some grace!

Staff were excellent and very helpful. Room was easy to get to and the area was quiet. Had a great stay.

Tried to change stay from July 19th to July 12th. Couldn't do it. Disgusting. Good thing I bought insurance. Will never do that again.

We stayed for one night as we were attending the Little House on the Prairie event in Walnut Grove! It was nice to be only 10 minutes away from the event! Motel very clean and everything was in good working condition! Thank you
