Property location good. Building in bad shape. Upon arrival, office was locked. Check-in begins at 4 pm, office closes at 5. Attempted to call the # listed for the hotel, but that connected me to a call center type of messaging system. Finally called a number that was printed on a sheet of paper and taped to the office door. The employee answered and promptly entered the office and checked me in. Upon entering the building- door handle was broken and hanging, partially connected to the door. Walked up 2 flights of stairs which had garbage, stickers, socks and environmental debris scattered all around them. Upon entering room, we noticed a large "Spray" type of stain on the ceiling above the bed. Was it soda? Dark beer? Tobacco spit? Unknown. I put on gloves, took a hand towel from the bathroom and scrubbed it off. Window screen was slightly bent and did not completely seal, and screen had small tears on the same side. Queen bed was queen sized, but with the thickness of a roll-out cot bed. Painfully uncomfortable. Shower had nearly no water pressure. Very low pressure. Was like 8 continuous streams from a cheap plastic squirt gun. Curtain rod was held up by the assistance of some folded up paper. A portion of a box from some kind of product? Heat in shower and sink was good & stayed heated. No issue there. Microwave & fridge clean & functional. Parking lot had cars/RVs with people living in them. NOT worth the $$$- especially with holiday $$$ increase.

This was the worst hotel stay I've ever had.In fact I couldn't even stay because I wasn't safe. The external. Doors into the hallway with all the rooms does not lock. The door to the room has one key which is a physical key that can be duplicated. There is no deadbull or a safety latch. There is no deadbolt or a safety latch. Anybody off the street can come walking in. Homeless hang out in the area.. The room had no heat or toilet paper had holes in the walls.And it's definitely not remodeled. I Had to pay for a room at comfort. In addition to this room which I couldn't stay in as a hotels refusing to refund. My money and Expedia leaves it up to the hotel even though it has subpar living conditions. That don't even meet the habitability standards of the state of Oregon. Travelers need to be worn before.They're stuck paying for duplicate hotels because they booked this place. No heat no security but they won't refund your money in the front desk closes at six p m

My room/ front door had an electronic control lock so I was given a code to get in; however, the next morning I checked out around 10:00 AM; before I departed, I checked my door making certain that the room was locked preventing unauthorized person from entering the room after I left. I was extremely surprised that the electronic lock was deactivated, which means someone could easily had entered my room while I was still asleep or in the room and assaulted me. I attempted to let front desk aware of this grave safety concern, but there wasn’t anyone there so I departed; please be aware this hotel is liable civil and criminally if a customer get assaulted, if the electronic lock is deactivated prior to required check out time, which is at 11:00 AM. I will never at this hotel again.

Oh my. Interesting weekend. I checked online this morning. The website said the kite festival is on, regardless of the forecast. So we arrived at 3:30 pm. Indications it might be risky to stay here: 1. Gps took us to the parking lot where there was no signage indicating this is a motel, and there are a few abandoned vehicles. So we drove around several times until we finally found the front of the motel. 2.Paper sign on the door says no check-in before 4 pm. So we went to dinner. 3. Came back at 5:30, sign on door says office closed at 5 pm. Called an emergency number, and they came out to let us in. 4. Pulled into the parking lot again, the first thing we saw was a young man going through all the trash bins. 5. Lock on the door from the parking lot to the hallway has been busted open, so the door will not close, let alone lock. 6. Foul odor in downstairs hallway. 7. No elevator, but we are still glad to be on the second floor for safety reasons. The outside doorway on the second floor is so rotten that you can see daylight under the door. 8. Strong Marijuana smell in the second story hallway. 9. We get into our room and see that the bedroom window is open, and the lock has been broken completely off. Called management, and they brought a bar for us to put in the window to secure the slider. 10. The door to our room has a single lock (no deadbolt) and a flip lock. However, the door jam that the flip lock screws into has been pulled away from the wall... Just dont stay he

This is the worst hotel we have ever stayed at for the following reasons: 1. Exterior door key pad and door latch broken so anyone can enter the hotel 2. Smelt like a bar with liquor and cigarettes 3. Exposed electrical wires in outlets 4. Massively stained carpet with urine in the halls 5. Visible black mold in the bathroom 6. Rusted tissue box with no tissue 7. Toilet would not flush 8. Baseboards around the entire room are filthy 9. No option to use the TV, microwave and fridge due to limited outlet. Had to pull the cabinet out to plug in TV. There was old food and filth under it 10. Sheetrock was pulled off the walls including patches of paint on all walls 11. Safety locks on the room door had been removed allowing for no double locks which was a concern as anyone could enter the hall with the exterior door latch broken(#1 above) 12. The curtains did not fully cover the window 13. There was lots garbage outside of the hotel

This was a horrible experience. We lasted 5 hours. Will never be back. When we arrived we realized they have no front desk person 24/7 and when we got our key cards and went into the room there was someone else's urine in the toilet, food in the fridge, the screen in the window was ripped, people were smoking in the hal, feces on the wall. Then if that wasn't bad enough the door to the building was either broker or propped open and there was an active drug deal while we were there.

Upon arriving the front door was locked and eventually someone came to let me in. Thay askes my name and checked the cmputer, did not ask for ID to verify who I was. I was given a room key like is used on a door to a house and directed to a parking lot at the rear of the building and told the doors would let me into the first floor. The doors used to have card key locks, but the handles were broken and the doors did not lock or latch. There was a strong marijuana smell in the hallway even though there were No Smoking sign near all the doors. The room had peeling paint and something had struck the corner of a wall and broken the plaster. We immediately called the number provided by the front desk and a woman answered. After explaining we did not feel safe, she said to contact Expedia and the room charges would be refunded. I received an email from OYO a bit after this asking if we are happy with the room. I tried calling the number the next morning, but after being on hold for about 10 minutes and being told we next in queue, we were disconnected. I will never stay at any OYO property in the future since this is how they treat their customers. Today, 3 days after we left the room, Expedia informed me there will be no refund of the room charges. Nice that a company can lie to customers and get away with it. I have photos of the peeling paint and damaged wall but am not able to post them. I will not use Expediea again if my refund is not provided.

this place was terrible, dirty, smelly. the bed had a huge brown stain. the room smelled like cigarettes, i tried locking the door but there is no safety lock on the door. the hallway was dirty, the ice and vending machines did not work. i checked in and checked right out. i tried to get a refund but the hotel is not answering. i would stay clear of this place. i felt very unsafe.

When I check into this hotel the man that helped me was very patient and kind. He also had a lot of dog/cat hair all over his sweater. When I walked in my room the bed was super noisy and squeaky everytime you’d move. The paint on the walls was ripped off. There were holes and dirt on the walls. The bathroom looked like it didn’t get cleaned for weeks. It was very uncomfortable to be there.

Property was unclean and not as shown in the listing photos. Bed had dirty and likely bugs, floors were sticky, holes in walls and broken furniture and fixtures. Whole building smelled like cigarette and there were cigarette butts on the floor inside. We walked inside and immediately turned around. Took us a week of arguing with Expedia to eventually get a response from the hotel about a refund. Overall bad experience.

This place is disgusting. Do not stay here! My pillows had blood stains on them! My room was on the 1st floor, when I got to my room, the window was wide open with no screen. There were dead bugs all over the place. Other people's hair everywhere. It was so dirty! We booked 2 nights but only stayed for one because it was so gross and all other hotels were booked for the night. They agreed to give me a refund and then ghosted me. Its been weeks with no refund and I can't get a hold of a manager or get a call back.

The staff was really nice, but the hotel was poorly maintained and dirty. The pictures from booking don't look like the rooms at all, and the floors were filthy. There's also zero building security - anyone can walk in and get into the room hallways which didn't make me feel comfortable. There was also no screen/lock on the window.

The room was not up to the mark in terms of cleanliness and safety. The absence of a fire alarm in the room is a serious concern, and the peeling paint and non-functional toilet and shower are unacceptable. It’s understandable that we were uncomfortable sleeping in the sheets and using the table due to their condition. There was no fire alarm in room, (found it next day beeping in the hallway on top of a fire extinguisher.) The place smells like it used to be a smoking room. Paint was pealing and window would not open if there was a fire. The bed was hard and has what I call spring assist. Was to afraid to sleep in the sheets. The toilet barely worked. The shower was gross, there was sticky stuff on the Table. The fount desk say they are open 4 to 6. Trying to check in at 5 and no one was there. Door says call #, so I did. Well that phone was on the desk just ringing. 20 min later they show up. No ID required for room just sign. We were given a WiFi password, for a WiFi that i was later told don't exist. We had to be somewhere at 6 so we made the mistake of not checking the room.Next day 9 am No one to be found and the office is locked. Tried many time to call the in case of emergence # no luck.came back at 4. I told manager about the fire alarm and how bad the room was and trying to get a hold of someone. He agreed with me and he joked that OYO stands for "On Your Own" and he don't recommend stay there. never received a refund

I would not recommend this place. There was no shower curtain in our room. The bed looked like it was very old. The only other people here were people that lived in the building. It smelled like dog. The receptionist was also the housekeeping and she had only been there for two weeks. So to give this place any stars is only because she tried to do the best she could with what she had. I am very disappointed in the people who own and run this place. They should update it. No air conditioning. It was not worth the money i paid to stay there.

Our room's floor was sticky. We could hear everything next door and in the hallway. The bathroom door had a hole someone punched in or kicked.Bed was decent if very noisy due to a weird metal frame. The gyu that checked us in was nice. The property as a whole is quite sketchy. We booked it in a pinch as non-refundable for way too much $$.

Needs updating as our showerhead was not on properly and shooting water when we turned it on. Also the sink needs repair as it's really hard to turn on and off. The hours of check in are weird check in is at 4 but office closed at 5? Never stayed, they closed at 9pm and couldn’t get my room. They never called that they were closing at 9pm. I drove 12 hours and had to drive another 3 hours to stay at somewhere else cause they closed and locked the door.

The woman in charge of helping me with my reservation was horrible. She treated me poorly. They didn’t tell me I was getting a queen bed room although I reserved a king room bed and they tried to make me settle for it but I noticed it was not a king bed so I called to see what they can do and she said well go find another hotel and I’ll give you your money back. They are not in the business for hospitality at all. Never coming here and will be posting on my social media my experience so no one has to go through this!

Horrible! Check in is at 4 but they close office at 6. Room door wouldn’t close, no coffee pot, outlets didn’t work, no ice bucket, since no outlets worked meant no fridge, tv or microwave…. Me and other guests waited outside to check in until someone who was already staying there was able to wake the office person so me and other guests could check in which I wished I had never booked! Won’t be back!!!

This place is disgusting. Do not stay here! My pillows had blood stains on them! My room was on the 1st floor, when I got to my room, the window was wide open with no screen. There were dead bugs all over the place. Other people's hair everywhere. It was so dirty! We booked 2 nights but only stayed for one because it was so gross and all other hotels were booked for the night. They agreed to give me a refund and then ghosted me. Its been weeks with no refund and I can't get a hold of a manager or get a call back.

The couple managing the property were helpful and responsive. The property is dated, worn, and in need of maintenance, but it offers budget lodging compared to other properties in the area. The beds were comfortable The bathroom was quite small with an awkwardly placed clothes rack - watch your head. It appears that the property also serves as subsidized housing for a number of people. We are glad such housing exists for those in need, but did not expect the combination of purposes here. That being said, it did not present a problem during our stay.

My buddies and I decided to take a last minute trip to Lincoln City. We have stayed here in the past and enjoyed our stay. We reserved a room and headed out. We had to make a few stops along the way which set us behind a little bit. Maddie Called us and checked on us to make sure we were still on our way. She did an amazing job getting us all set up especially since we ended up arriving after the office was closed. We really enjoyed our stay and Thank Maddie and the rest of the staff at Costal inn.

Upon arriving the front door was locked and eventually someone came to let me in. Thay askes my name and checked the cmputer, did not ask for ID to verify who I was. I was given a room key like is used on a door to a house and directed to a parking lot at the rear of the building and told the doors would let me into the first floor. The doors used to have card key locks, but the handles were broken and the doors did not lock or latch. There was a strong marijuana smell in the hallway even though there were No Smoking sign near all the doors. The room had peeling paint and something had struck the corner of a wall and broken the plaster. We immediately called the number provided by the front desk and a woman answered. After explaining we did not feel safe, she said to contact Expedia and the room charges would be refunded. I received an email from OYO a bit after this asking if we are happy with the room. I tried calling the number the next morning, but after being on hold for about 10 minutes and being told we next in queue, we were disconnected. I will never stay at any OYO property in the future since this is how they treat their customers. Today, 3 days after we left the room, Expedia informed me there will be no refund of the room charges. Nice that a company can lie to customers and get away with it. I have photos of the peeling paint and damaged wall but am not able to post them. I will not use Expediea again if my refund is not provided.

Customer Service was AWESOME!! Very friendly and helpful staff. The metal frame beds were a little noisy but overall comfortable. Everything was clean, however the structure is old and worn down. No elevator. Budget Inns tend to attract some questionable folks, so the parking lot felt a little unsafe after dark. Overall i would recommend if you need a cheap stay, but if you can afford better I'd take better. I would stay again if I needed to.

Property location good. Building in bad shape. Upon arrival, office was locked. Check-in begins at 4 pm, office closes at 5. Attempted to call the # listed for the hotel, but that connected me to a call center type of messaging system. Finally called a number that was printed on a sheet of paper and taped to the office door. The employee answered and promptly entered the office and checked me in. Upon entering the building- door handle was broken and hanging, partially connected to the door. Walked up 2 flights of stairs which had garbage, stickers, socks and environmental debris scattered all around them. Upon entering room, we noticed a large "Spray" type of stain on the ceiling above the bed. Was it soda? Dark beer? Tobacco spit? Unknown. I put on gloves, took a hand towel from the bathroom and scrubbed it off. Window screen was slightly bent and did not completely seal, and screen had small tears on the same side. Queen bed was queen sized, but with the thickness of a roll-out cot bed. Painfully uncomfortable. Shower had nearly no water pressure. Very low pressure. Was like 8 continuous streams from a cheap plastic squirt gun. Curtain rod was held up by the assistance of some folded up paper. A portion of a box from some kind of product? Lincoln City is a working class beach town so keep that in mind. the property has apartments at the top and the staff has dogs and have a more casual caring which is what I personally need. I felt part of the community and the motel is across the street from the community garden, they have a little seating area for a moment of mindfulness, great cheap taqueria across the street. cool bodega grocery store up the street and an espresso stand next door.

Didn't even stay my one night. Cars on blocks in parking lot. Smells like weed, cigarettes, and wet dogs. NOT a feeling of safety to be had. This property is right off of 101. The desk clerk was very friendly and when we ran out of tp all we had to do was ask. There are no elevators and we stayed 3 nights on the 3rd floor. Not exactly how we wanted to start our vacation. It was also pretty warm and there wasn't an air conditioner. We had to sleep with our window open and there wasn't even a screen on our window. The area wasn't bad and we would stay there again if we needed too but we would make sure we could get a room on the 1st floor.

Positives: friendly helpful staff, good location. Negatives: super sketchy hotel, poor condition, transient hang out. Packed up at 530am and some guy was huddled in the parking lot. As I made my final departure out the broken side door, he was hiding in the stairs at my back when going to the door. Lucky my 6’3” son was with me. He followed us out and watched. Creepy vibes.

The property was extremely dirty! People actually were living there as full time residents who didn't appear to have jobs and looked like drug addicts! It felt very unsafe and scary to stay there. There was no vending machines to buy snacks or water that were in working order. There appeared to be animal urine on the carpets in the hallway. There was no air-conditioning units in the room which made it very hot and no screen on the window when you opened it to cool the room down. It was very loud between the hours of midnight and 4 am from people yelling. The door to enter the premises was broken which anyone can just walk into the building.

this place was terrible, dirty, smelly. the bed had a huge brown stain. the room smelled like cigarettes, i tried locking the door but there is no safety lock on the door. the hallway was dirty, the ice and vending machines did not work. i checked in and checked right out. i tried to get a refund but the hotel is not answering. i would stay clear of this place. i felt very unsafe.
this place was terrible, dirty, smelly. the bed had a huge brown stain. the room smelled like cigarettes, i tried locking the door but there is no safety lock on the door. the hallway was dirty, the ice and vending machines did not work. i checked in and checked right out. i tried to get a refund but the hotel is not answering. i would stay clear of this place. i felt very unsafe.

We didn’t spend much time in the room except to sleep. The room was nice and clean. We booked a room with a balcony but there wasn’t anything special about the balcony view from the other rooms. The balconys are on the 3rd floor and there is no elevator. In the future, I would save my money to get a regular room on a lower level. There was no tv guide or a “do not disturb/housekeeping needed” sign in the room, not sure if that is something to be requested or not. We would’ve like some new towels but we had brought some of our own from home. There is no breakfast on site, but there is coffee provided in the rooms. Also there is a mini fridge and microwave in the room. We traveled to get coffee and breakfast elsewhere. Overall, it was an okay place to sleep for the night and the front desk employee was friendly. This was a last minute trip for us, so we were just trying to find a decent place to sleep for the two nights we would be on the coast. We checked in right before midnight on a Friday night and when you arrive, you have to call or text a number to get in the office. We checked out on Sunday morning. It’s a basic hotel, I thought it smelled weird inside the hallways and stairways areas and not a clean smell but something being used to cover up smells.

Overall I’d have to say the room was decent and fairly clean. The bed and pillows were comfortable. It was an enjoyable experience. Considering the price, you can’t really complain.

Clean, but old, if you just need a room it is fine. Our TV did not work. Tried to check out early but no one was in the office at posted time, so left cards in room.

the outside area in parking full of cars with homeless people, made it uncomortable to leave my car there. Also, put us in room with housekeeper had room in disray. had to go get new room. The clerk did aploogized, and put us across hall. I know rates were reasonable and expect lower standards but, this place was filthy and very scary for someone to stay with all the homeless cars and stuff. Would not stay or recommend anyone to use this inn. shame on expedia for hosting this site.

The beds had no blankets. The blanket was a thicker sheet over a sheet. Which would have been okay except that the heat did not work at all. Turned up to 80° and still never even turned on. Heater was cold the whole time. I took both "blankets" and folded them over plus my sweatshirt to keep me from freezing. Was cold all night! The main light in the room was like 1 candle power, could not see anything with it on. The people above me were playing basketball or something till 2am. I went to a concert and didnt get in till 11pm and they had a no vacancy when i checked in at 4:30pm so i knew there were no other rooms available. I left at 7am and they don\'t open till 10am. I think i should get at least a partial refund!
