Holiday Inn Portland West - Hillsboro by IHG

The EV charger was difficult to figure out and the front desk was not helpful. The chargers said it was free, but also said to tap for payment, so when I asked for clarification from the front desk, they said they were not sure and I was left to figure things out on my own at 11pm, which was frustrating.

The pool and hot tub is nice. I'm Happy that I brought my boyfriend to the hotel. We cuddled and relaxed on the bed.

Everything about this property was excellent. It was clean and the staff was friendly. My only complaint is that they did not tell me before I booked there that they have a $10 per night parking fee. I don’t understand why there’s a parking fee when they have a dedicated parking lot for the hotel. It just seems like a way to inflate their rates

Comfortable bed. Disappointed in the hot tub not working properly. I was wanting a hotel with a hot tub to soak in after hiking all day. I don’t like that parking cost extra, I could have easily parked across the street for free. Staff was nice.

Everything is what you’d expect from a HI. It very clean and nicely furnished. You have to pay separate for a breakfast that is the same as all hotels. My only complaint is that I chose this hotel because it has onsite EV charging but the chargers were broken.

This is my go to hotel in the Hillsboro area. Usually great but this trip there were issues. Door lock jammed and they had to remove entire lock and replace. Took several hours to find parts. Restaurant/Bar didn’t open due to staffing shortages. Pool area was crowded with kids sports teams and unusable.

Just a quick overnight stay. Convenient Ev charging. Breakfast was as expected. Pool area was clean. Staff was polite.

Nice property, didn't feel super cheap. The staff were amazing, the bar had to close early and the woman at the front desk was kind enough to get us glasses and ice and we made our own make shift drinks. Rooms were spacious and it was exactly what we needed for a quick night stay.

Liked the gym and pool. They ran out of towels despite pool not being that busy.

Rooms are dirty especially shelves and the spots that you would normally expect things to be clean.

When they cleaned the room after the first night they left cleaning gloves on the night stand. Maybe could have been a touch more thorough, but overall it was a good stay.

Very nice hotel. Great staff! Super clean ! But we probably woukd not stay again though due to having to pay $10 a night to park in just a regular parking lot and breakfast being $16 person. ( That’s $32 for two of us to eat there and you’d also of course leave a tip - so even more ) so we drive to McDonalds each morning … There are other hotels as nice that you don’t have to pay to park and they provide breakfast. I didn’t honestly see too many people eating breakfast there each morning so guessing most people thought the same thing we did.

Nice hotel, pool was great. My only issue was that my room wasn’t as clean as I would have expected.

Stay was fine & clean. Only issue was bathroom door , it doesn't stay closed. Its a barn door and we had to use a shoe to keep it shut. I made them aware and said they are working on it. Seemed like I wasn't the first to mention it. I would stay again.

The hotel is right in plain sight but I never noticed it before. Very convenient for getting to our medical providers. The hotel is very clean, the room is HUGE and the staff I have met is very helpful and friendly, My only negative comment is the bathroom door is a sliding door and it won’t stay shut. Slides open about 12-18 inches EVERY time.

The room was actually clean and comfortable. The issue we had was at 6:30 am a noise like a freight train wakes us up! I get up and look out the window and there’s a truck with a hose pumping grease. It was LOUD! This lasted for about 15 minutes. It had to have woken up half the hotel! What kind of management runs this place! Why would you allow a vender preform something so loud at that time In the morning? WE Will Never STAY THERE AGAIN!

We asked for a room on the top floor away from the elevators, hoping it would be quiet… We did get the top floor however it was not quiet; there was some type of humming or machinery that kept coming on all through the night. Hotel and property was clean and looked pretty new. Would definitely recommend staying here if in the area

Everything was fine and in good working order. We were a bit mystified when the room started to vibrate, apparently from a roof top air handling unit.

This property was nice. I had to change rooms because the AC on the first one was LOUD. I was shocked they charged me to park in Hillsboro. My bad, I guess I shouldn’t have assumed.

Bed was ok. Wobbly just when moving one toe. Clean except floor had not been vacuumed in what looked like a long time

I would not stay for the bathrooms alone. Sliding door, no locks, gap, frosted glass. I was with my sister and it was horrible zero privacy. Thank goodness not with anyone else.

Disappointed with the room we were put in, which featured an A/C unit that made an awful noise and a lamp with a broken lightswitch--but the real issue is that we never should have been in that room in the first place, as we reserved a King room and were put in a two-queen, without even a comment or apology from the staff. We reserved the room a month in advance and there's no excuse for not getting the room we reserved. I am grateful at least that the staff moved us the second night due to the broken A/C unit.

We never even got to stay!! The front desk agent was very rude and nasty from the very beginning. When we went to give him our legal documents that were given to us by the DMV to use for our enhanced DL until our permanent one comes in the mail he would not accept it. We told him it’s a legal document and we are able to use it for everything else he said well not here. I asked to speak to a manager and he said no. He would call them. He took his cell phone and went back to another area and shut the door. Came out after about 2 min and said the manager said no and it was a company wide policy. Which was a lie!! After going back and forth with him we asked him to refund the money we paid and he said not now I will get to it later. Still has not been refunded. We left and called the company to see if he was telling the truth and he wasn’t! He lied!! We then called another hotel right around the corner, owned by the same company and they said yes they take that as a form of ID and that he was not telling the truth. So we stayed at that hotel instead. Will never be back to that Holiday INN and I will be taking this further up the chain and will let others know. No need to be so rude, condescending and nasty and definitely no need to lie!!!

didn’t really see much of it, but there was free water and tea in the lobby. They actually had hot breakfast as well as hot dinner. The staff was absolutely amazing when I first got in my TV wasn’t working and they sent me up with a whole different room on a different floor as well

Everything was mostly awesome. Hotel, room, Clean, nice, pool was clean and great. Front desk guy was AMAZING! However, the restaurant and bar staff were horrible. Never tried to greet you, had to always find them to order something, left us sitting several times after making eye contact to order, forgot several orders, tried to give me a 3oz pour on a $9 glass of wine. We had 6 people for dinner and after being directed to seat ourselves waited for 20 min before I got up and asked for menus. Adult vs kid burger was the same except smashed and over cooked to look bigger. Front desk was great. Other staff very lacking. Constantly felt rushed to appease them. No service skills at all!

We liked the location it was right off the highway but the lady at the front desk that night in the day after she was the grumpiest person in the world. She did not want to be friendly at all...

Check-in was super quick and easy. Errol was friendly, helpful and efficient. The property is in a convenient location and close to lots of food and shopping options. The amenities are great, the work out facility is spacious with a variety of equipment.

Probably the quickest most efficient check in I’ve ever experienced. Very friendly staff and a nice clean room.

Never coming back to this Holiday Inn. BS Parking fee that was not highlighted upfront. Staff absent from desk the moment we walked in. No one to be seen for over 15mins.

Check in was at 3:00pm. They didn’t have a room available because they said “housekeeping was behind”. Didn’t get our room until 5:00pm. There was some trash still in our trash can once we arrived in our room. No kleenex in kleenex container. The hot tub in pool area was out of service, front desk never mentioned that, even though I asked what time the pool closes. Very disappointed!!!!!

Great stay for a business trip to Intel. Very clean, well updated hotel. Comfortable, quiet room. Had an issue with the Kuerig and it was fixed in under an hour. Front desk staff was great and said hi everytime I came and went. Nothing walkable in the area to grab a different meal than in the hotel and limited non alcoholic options at the part was the only draw backs to the stay.

Very convenient hotel to stay in Hillsboro, plenty of shopping options within walking distance.

Property is remote, but within 3 minutes driving there are multiple fast food places, as well as a large shopping area.

Lots of shopping and dining nearby. $10 parking surcharge was a surprise (it was mentioned in the fine print I didn’t see it). I’ve not encountered parking fees with hotels in this vicinity. What are you trying to be like Portland??

Excellent location to visit the west cost and do things around Portland.

The rooms are lovely andthe staff is very attentive. The breakfast buffet seemed a bit over priced at 16.00 a day. I have had the same or better Breakfast options at other hotels that was included in the price.

The $19 buffet breakfast was very poor.

It was an beautiful, clean feeling hotel. We chose this particular hotel because it had a bar and restaurant to relax at after a long day, but due to staffing issues they closed early. Closed within 15 minutes of being there, we had to once again drive to eat and so no relaxing. Plus I prepaid for breakfast in which was less than quality food. Soggy French toast, bagels were a hard as they could be. Overall a big disappointment.

Property is nice and clean. We booked for the amenities and the bar/restaurant was not open for both nights we stayed. It was not mentioned when we checked in. Also did not receive cleaning during the day. Had to request additional pillows to use the Hyde way bed and when brought they brought separate pillow cases for us to put on ourselves. For such a big property, seems they have a staffing issue that can’t accommodate amenities they advertise.

The staff was friendly & attentive. The room was clean & the beds were comfortable. The shower was good but tub was slippery so I had to use a towel for traction. I gave only 4 Stars was the food. I opted to pay for the daily breakfast buffet for my wife & I. The first 2 days we ate at the buffet. They have silverware & ran out of forks, I asked her for a fork & the woman said “your supposed to use the plastic ones”…then filled the metal fork holder with spoons then handed me a cloth napkin with silverware. I was confused but thought whatever. The potatoes were hard like pebbles day 1&2. The eggs were gross, they kinda had a fishy smell to them. Both days my body reacted to the bad eggs/food, I won’t go into details but I’ll just say I needed a bathroom pronto! So we elected to not eat there day 3 & went out to a local breakfast place instead. Day 4 is checkout day and I thought I need something quick maybe the oatmeal will be safe. The oatmeal had way too much water in it, it was like soup! It tasted terrible too. I did notice though a different woman caring for the buffet & she placed regular cloth napkins & metal silverware at all the tables.what I expected to be done from day one but hadn’t. They also mixed it up & instead of cinnamon rolls offered French toast. Another aspect that should of changed daily but took 4 days to offer a different choice to eat. Also I should add the sausages look uncooked, I tried one & had to spit it out. Buffet food gets an “F”

Good location for seeing the Oregon coast and within a short distance of many food options. The on site restaurant was great.

It truly was amazing. Breakfast each morning was truly delicious and i looked forward to breakfast each day dur to how great it was. Pool and hot tub area was great. My room was spotless upon my arrival and their staff was very attentive to maintaining its cleanliness and comfortability throughout my entire stay. I will definitely be returning soon.
