Everything was great from check in to check out. All the staff are friendly, helpful & professional. The room was warm with a very comfy bed & lovely bed linen. The pub itself was buzzing & had a great atmosphere. Our 3 course supper was delicious as was breakfast. This is a really good place to stay!

Excellent service. Amazing food. Strange as no kettle in room so had to pop down to the foyer to make yourself tea or coffee from a pod machine. Honesty fridge there as well & some great bee gifts! Food was amazing both the evening meal (Ham & bubble & squeak) as well as the awesome bacon & sausage bap for breakfast. Only issue would be the slight toilet smell from the bathroom that didn't go away but everything else was awesome.

A short overnight stop here was a treat after a very long drive. Staff friendly and accommodating on arrival, with a super quick check in and a table booked for dinner in an already busy restaurant with a lovely lit fire. The bedroom can be accessed from the adjacent car park or bar area and passing the honesty bar and coffee area, you are welcomed by a comfortable and homey room. Our room (2) was small but perfectly equipped for 1 night. Small TV. Blanket for the cold nights. Fan for the hot ones. Bathroom was basic, very small but functional. Word of warning, the shower goes cold after the second person has a short dip. But the water pressure is wonderful. Relaxed departure, just leaving the key in the door and out. Very relaxed here, rural comfort and very friendly staff. Dinner here is essential, the food is simply amazing, typical pub food menu, but high end, and very tasty! I wish I could have stayed for breakfast.

A lovely clean property run by such a lovely team of people. We were welcomed to the pub, shown to our rooms and then sat for a meal which was very good. The downstairs tea and coffee facilities were nicely done as was the honesty bar. Check out was easy and there was a breakfast option but we didn’t take it as the times didn’t work for us. Overall a great property and would visit again

The hosts were friendly and helpful. The bar and restaurant was quaint and cosy. The open fire was ablaze as we sat and had our evening meal. The food was superb. Recommend the Duck and Port parfait. We stayed in room number 1 which was a bit noisy from the early hours. I understand that this is an old property (with some modernisation) but I could hear traffic from the road outside, snoring from the room above along with their alarm vibrating at 6.15am. Also this room states a "countryside view", certainly not from our window. A huge marquee and a fence panel was what I could see.

Although the room was compact it was very clean with lots of nice touches. Good value. The bed could do with a mattress topper. The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was exceptional. Tasty, plentiful and nicely presented. Easy parking. Lots of country walks on the doorstep

Lovely pub accommodation. Good location for our trip - quick access from M4 Hungerford junction. . Comfortable bed. Well appointed bathroom. Communal tea making in a lobby - but worked fine. Only slight downside was breakfast - no toast offered with full English. When requested we were charged £4.20, a bit steep for a couple of slices. Maybe review that slight parsimony mamagement?

Super friendly staff, very clean room and everything you need. The only downside was the mattress on our bed was so uncomfortable we really didn’t sleep very well unfortunately but couldn’t fault anything else.

Room was clean, quiet and comfortable, quite small but it was a single. No three pin socket I could see, and also a definite minus no bedside light. The radiator in the room didn’t produce much heat but as the room wasn’t that big it wasn’t a problem. The bar was not that busy though there were a few loud sweary locals. The local real ale (beer) was not bad but nothing special. I had breakfast though the smoked salmon option I ordered the night before was not available the following morning. Upon my arrival the welcome was not particularly effusive, so allowing for the few drawbacks etc, if you want a stay where you are not fussed over and that’s reasonably priced and as described above I can recommend.

The room was comfortable. Bathroom was great with walk in shower. Breakfast and restaurant foot was great. The only slight niggle - i could hear the guests talking and snoring through the wall between our rooms. To be fair i snore too so they could have heard me too.

Very relaxed here, rural comfort and very friendly staff. Dinner here is essential, the food is simply amazing, typical pub food menu, but high end, and very tasty! Super friendly staff, very clean room and everything you need. The only downside was the mattress on our bed was so uncomfortable we really didn’t sleep very well unfortunately but couldn’t fault anything else.

A short overnight stop here was a treat after a very long drive. Staff friendly and accommodating on arrival, with a super quick check in and a table booked for dinner in an already busy restaurant with a lovely lit fire. The bedroom can be accessed from the adjacent car park or bar area and passing the honesty bar and coffee area, you are welcomed by a comfortable and homey room. Our room (2) was small but perfectly equipped for 1 night. Small TV. Blanket for the cold nights. Fan for the hot ones. Bathroom was basic, very small but functional. Word of warning, the shower goes cold after the second person has a short dip. But the water pressure is wonderful. Relaxed departure, just leaving the key in the door and out. The hosts were friendly and helpful. The bar and restaurant was quaint and cosy. The open fire was ablaze as we sat and had our evening meal. The food was superb. Recommend the Duck and Port parfait. We stayed in room number 1 which was a bit noisy from the early hours. I understand that this is an old property (with some modernisation) but I could hear traffic from the road outside, snoring from the room above along with their alarm vibrating at 6.15am. Also this room states a "countryside view", certainly not from our window. A huge marquee and a fence panel was what I could see.

Although the room was compact it was very clean with lots of nice touches. Good value. The bed could do with a mattress topper. The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was exceptional. Tasty, plentiful and nicely presented. Easy parking. Lots of country walks on the doorstep

Lovely pub accommodation. Good location for our trip - quick access from M4 Hungerford junction. . Comfortable bed. Well appointed bathroom. Communal tea making in a lobby - but worked fine. Only slight downside was breakfast - no toast offered with full English. When requested we were charged £4.20, a bit steep for a couple of slices. Maybe review that slight parsimony mamagement?

Everything was great from check in to check out. All the staff are friendly, helpful & professional. The room was warm with a very comfy bed & lovely bed linen. The pub itself was buzzing & had a great atmosphere. Our 3 course supper was delicious as was breakfast. This is a really good place to stay!

Friendly staff. Good food, catered very well for myself as I'm coeliac, the gf options were excellent. Room although small was lovely, bed comfy, bathroom nice. Would definitely stay here again

Room was clean, quiet and comfortable, quite small but it was a single. No three pin socket I could see, and also a definite minus no bedside light. The radiator in the room didn’t produce much heat but as the room wasn’t that big it wasn’t a problem. The bar was not that busy though there were a few loud sweary locals. The local real ale (beer) was not bad but nothing special. I had breakfast though the smoked salmon option I ordered the night before was not available the following morning. Upon my arrival the welcome was not particularly effusive, so allowing for the few drawbacks etc, if you want a stay where you are not fussed over and that’s reasonably priced and as described above I can recommend.

Great pub, rooms are in an adjacent building with separate entrance so no noise issues. Lots of parking and a lovely location. Friendly and helpful staff too.

The place was amazing the room was clean and tidy the breakfast was over priced the full breakfast was not a full breakfast no toast or fried bread the bacon was burnt the tomatoes burnt the beans was dry the bacon sandwich was 2 rashers of streaky bacon crossed over burn bread was hard the price of these was well over priced for what you get when other places do more
