Room was lovely, receptionist was friendly. Unfortunately the room is just super hard to find And cold, the smell in the room is unusual. Not certain if just my room but some smell of like bleach mixed with an old ladies perfume.

The Glendower is a modern/victorian three star sixty plus bedroom hotel just a few miles from busy Blackpool. The Glendower is a quiet and relaxing hotel located in the gentle but popular area of Lytham St. Annes with a choice of clean, comfortable modern ensuite rooms, some rooms are dedicated dog friendly. There is an option to have a sea view which looks out to the Irish sea. The hotel benefits from free onsite parking at the front of the hotel, it also provides E charging in the hotel car park. The spacious bar and lounge area is clean and comfortable with polite and helpful staff always at hand. A full English breakfast (with options) is served for you at your table in the dining room as is the evening meal. If you choose to eat in the hotel then there is a menu to suit most tastes. I booked a two night stay and it was difficult to find fault this with this delightful establishment. My only criticism was that on the Saturday night there was a wedding party at the hotel and while this was not a problem other than the DJ who enjoyed implementing a very loud drum beat backing to every piece of music that he played until midnight. As my room was on the first floor am afraid the music was disturbing to say the least. I am aware that many hotels must diversify in this modern economic age and weddings are another income stream. This will not deter me from staying at this hotel In the future I will just avoid a weekend booking or check if there is a DJ operating during my stay

I booked a suite consisting 2 very large bedrooms for my annual meet up with sisters. The suite on 1st floor was very well presented, very clean, beds very comfortable with excellent quality linen and a superb view out to sea from large sofa in huge bay window. We did not make use of hotel dining as we had alternative plans with family. Only drawback, the less abled in our group had additional 10 or so steps up and down to access the room, after using the lift up to 1st floor, which we were not aware of before booking.
