This is a gem!! Strategic location on the Golden Circle Route and the room was very comfortable :) A bonus is the hotel's outdoor spa pool! Will definitely stay again if we revisit the area :)))

Room was fine. Only downer was the shower flooding the bathroom floor -a water scraper is provided but a poor design flaw. Consequently the bathroom had a bit of an unpleasant whiff arising from poor drainage i guess. We had access to the 2 hot tubs as part of the room rate - these are shared with certain other rooms. Didn’t use them as went to the nearby Secret lagoon (only minutes away). Unfortunately another couple did so about 23.00 and even though they were not being noisy, their conversation could be heard in our room as the tubs are sandwiched between 2 rows of rooms and sound inevitabily carries. We ate in the restaurant and were impressed with the food for the evening and the range available for breakfast. Free parking available outside hotel. A useful shop over the road to get a sandwich for lunch. Hotel staff were friendly. I did have to show proof of my entitlement for free drink as per Silver member booking but was then offered the drinks - clearly there is a system issue on this aspect somewhere along the line.

Great spot to see the Golden Circle from, without driving all the way from Reykjavik with all the tour buses. Newly renovated, comfortable beds, nice showers, cool little hot tubs in the middle of the property, and beautiful bar/restaurant area. Kind of sad they didn’t let us know about happy hour when we checked in, but they DID honor the Expedia VIP perk for a free drink. Somewhat of a side note: if you get hot easily, on a sunny summer day, one side of the hotel (where the rooms face the sun all day with their floor-to-ceiling windows) gets REALLY hot. Like a greenhouse. Needless to say, they don’t have AC or fans in Iceland. I had a hard time falling asleep until it got way late and we aired out the room via the mini window.

This property was very beautiful. The rooms were clean and cozy. The hot tubs were very nice and felt private however one was not getting hot while we were there. Close by to Secret Lagoon which was a nice bonus.

The property has been nicely updated, for the most part. The room itself was nicely decorated and the door from the showers out to the yard and hot tubs is convenient. Unfortunately, the condition of the bathrooms did not match the rest of the property, with cracked tiles, broken light fixtures and an overall dated feel. Otherwise a great spot right in the golden circle.

Location is great right in the middle of the golden circle. They had two outside tubs. Awesome to relax after a long day. Room is nice. Problem was the bathroom floor, when wet it can become extremely slippery. Also as it uses floor heat I g it becomes quite warm. As it’s our first time in Iceland we didn’t know this and didn’t open the windows. What I didn’t like was that we didn’t get the promised bath tub /inside garden facing rooms as prebooked.

The room amenities and cleanliness were way below our expectations. The room floor was not cleaned properly after the previous guest. After every shower the bathroom floor was flooded so badly since the drainage didn't work properly. After the first day the personnel who cleaned our room take away the tee cups, the receptionist provided them after I went there and complained. The restaurant was nice but 20 minutes before closing our they would not accept new guests. When you have a long hiking day, you have to eat your food or snacks the whole day and drink some hot tee. :)

Das Hotel war eines von mehreren auf unserer Reise. Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber und sicher hat man einen guten Blick auf die Nordlichter, wenn der Himmel klar ist. Die Auswahl beim Frühstück war sehr lecker. Gerne wieder.

Sødt personale og dejlig morgenmad. Husene/værelserne virker lidt slidte og trætte, og der er meget lydt. Synd, at der kun er to små “hot pool”, da folk virkelig prioriterer at sidde og nyde den friske luft, men de er for små til at man sætter sig to fremmede par ned i den masse pool. Men et fint lille sted, når skal skal se geysere og Gullfoss.

Good for what a night. Beds reasonably comfortable. Local guesthouse opposite was quite noisy until late - but it was an Icelandic public holiday so perhaps not surprising. Standard rooms do not front onto the central garden, but back onto the road.

Staff was very friendly. Rooms are very small and dated. We booked an upgraded room, but size was smaller than advertised. Pictures on the web look better than reality. Town is very small, so it’s good if you want quiet.

When walking in we were mesmerized by the beautiful decor. They greeted us right away. The room was fine, beds small but expected , the only thing was upon r they needed more staff. Two people were trying to do it all and completely forgot about bringing us food and never checked on us once.

This is a gem!! Strategic location on the Golden Circle Route and the room was very comfortable :) A bonus is the hotel's outdoor spa pool! Will definitely stay again if we revisit the area :)))

Staff was very friendly. Rooms are very small and dated. We booked an upgraded room, but size was smaller than advertised. Pictures on the web look better than reality. Town is very small, so it’s good if you want quiet.

We made a last minute booking here when our planned trip to North Iceland got cancelled due to weather and it couldn't have been better. The property is beautiful, located minutes from many top attractions. Would have loved to stay here longer and hopefully can in the future!

Hotel was conveniently located along our route while visiting Iceland. It was reasonably priced, rooms were clean and the dining options were good - they were very flexible. My sister is vegetarian and they had no issues making up a dish for her (that wasn't on the menu). I highly recommend this property.

Room was fine. Only downer was the shower flooding the bathroom floor -a water scraper is provided but a poor design flaw. Consequently the bathroom had a bit of an unpleasant whiff arising from poor drainage i guess. We had access to the 2 hot tubs as part of the room rate - these are shared with certain other rooms. Didn’t use them as went to the nearby Secret lagoon (only minutes away). Unfortunately another couple did so about 23.00 and even though they were not being noisy, their conversation could be heard in our room as the tubs are sandwiched between 2 rows of rooms and sound inevitabily carries. We ate in the restaurant and were impressed with the food for the evening and the range available for breakfast. Free parking available outside hotel. A useful shop over the road to get a sandwich for lunch. Hotel staff were friendly. I did have to show proof of my entitlement for free drink as per Silver member booking but was then offered the drinks - clearly there is a system issue on this aspect somewhere along the line.

Beautiful room, spacious & enjoyed having a patio. The food was excellent for diner. Breakfast was good. I was able to watch the Aurora Borealis, as I soaked in the hot tub!

The room amenities and cleanliness were way below our expectations. The room floor was not cleaned properly after the previous guest. After every shower the bathroom floor was flooded so badly since the drainage didn't work properly. After the first day the personnel who cleaned our room take away the tee cups, the receptionist provided them after I went there and complained. The restaurant was nice but 20 minutes before closing our they would not accept new guests. When you have a long hiking day, you have to eat your food or snacks the whole day and drink some hot tee. :)

Beautiful Hotel so clean and stylish. The dinner was so lovely and so flavoursome. My only issue was when I asked for Gluten Free Bread - I was told the brown bread was gluten free - it very definitely wasn't! no gluten free bread is that stretchy unfortunately

Das Hotel war eines von mehreren auf unserer Reise. Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber und sicher hat man einen guten Blick auf die Nordlichter, wenn der Himmel klar ist. Die Auswahl beim Frühstück war sehr lecker. Gerne wieder.

Lovely hotel - decent priced and central to landmarks. Food at the restaurant is very pricey but the price for the room was good and the room has the most comfortable bedding and bed! Extra plus. Lovely service from the staff too

The 5 star reviews are definitely fake, property is not maintained, rooms are not sound proof, not shower after hot tub, receptionist didn’t offer a free drinks that was included in my Expedia package being a VIP member. At sub $200 you can find better properties..

Das Zimmer war entsprechend gross und auch sauber. Wir hatten ein Zimmer zur Strasse raus. Zwei Betten wobei für mich eher auf der weichen Seite. Personal war super nett und das Essen im Restaurant sehr fein.
