Loved it! Peaceful, nice fenced in area for the pup. She loved watching the ducks in the creek. Owner was very nice and has everything you need at the property.

Beautiful cabin and outdoor area. Super dog friendly with fenced yards, and they provide dog bowls, clean-up bags, and a leash, just in case you forget something. Hope to stay again!

After a really stressful couple of weeks this property was just what we needed to reset our minds and bodies.The fact that we were able to bring our dog with us was a definite bonus. We spent most of our time relaxing on the porch with Zoey laying in the fenced in yard. Other times we sat by the creek and watched the geese and goslings swimming down stream. There is some road noise as mentioned in the description however we easily tuned it out and at night in the bedroom it was basically non existent.

Worked for us to visit the area. Appreciated cooperation of host on every level. The yard was very effective for our pups. It is as listed. Follow info sent on details…lot of stuff there that could be overlooked that makes your visit more successful.

We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The cabin itself was roomy and relaxing. Loved the gas fireplace and gas stove for cooking! The small fenced yard was perfect for our dog. We also enjoyed the outdoor picnic /fire pit area! We even got a close up of an adult bald eagle that flew across the stream and rested on the lower branch of the mature tree on the property! The location was not as isolated as I thought it would be from the photo and we went in late fall! I’m sure the area around the cabin is much more scenic from late spring through early fall. There are other homes nearby and the cabin rests just below and a stones throw from a two lane road! The road noise people talked about on the reviews was not a big deal and after you pull up in the parking area, the cabin that is right off the road feels more…well Woodsy! Very convenient location! You’re just 5 minutes from the nearby small town with plenty of places to eat and in addition, you’re just a scenic 35 minute drive to Gettysburg which is a great place to visit! Michele was an excellent host with many recommendations! She was very helpful and checking in and out process was super easy!

I was exited about this cottage because we could take our dog and there was a fenced area. Hubby loved the creek, he fished a lot. Caught a lot too. We traveled to Gettysburg and around Waynesboro, but mostly chilled and rested. Love the history, here in this property.

The property was nicely located, close to Hagerstown. Nice river running thru the property. The cabin was well maintained. Floor in kitchen was fairly dirty but the rest of the house was good. When reading the info book and finding out the property has a lot of snakes I was disappointed that wasn’t information in the listing. I have a phobia of snakes and it made the stay uncomfortable. Also the snake skin on the mantle was unsettling.

We were so pleased with everything about this lovely home! It was clean & well supplied with everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable! We loved having the stream right there & watching the birds. The location was perfect for visiting the area & seeing the sites. We enjoyed the Fort Ritchie museum & the Greenhouse Cafe. My husband was stationed there 51 years ago. I would highly recommend this property!

We stayed at the Antietam Toll House on the coldest night in 10 years. Outside temps were 3 degrees Fahrenheit with wind chills less than zero. The cabin provided a cozy respite to a frigid night. It is a charming home in a lovely location next to a stream. Michelle was responsive to our requests. Lots of little details of design that enhanced the stay. We look forward to coming back in summer.

After exploring the town of Waynesboro each day and some evenings it was a pleasure to return and drive down the little road to our cabin of serenity and relaxation. the meandering stream was a soothing andidote to our busy day and the kitchen was adapted to all of our needs in one space. The bed tucked us in it's welcoming arms of comfort and we woke up refreshed each morning. It isn't a dream it's real.

We had a wonderful stay at this charming little cabin, located in a beautiful location on the stream. Yeah, there's a little bit of road noise, but it's easily ignored and the cabin is actually semi-isolated. In fact you can see it from the road only if you know it's there. The place is perfect! I wish we were able to spend more time there. Thank you for sharing your little piece of paradise!

Quaint cottage, fun artsy vibe with antiques.The bed was extremely comfortable, and there was plenty of hot water. Those are two essential criteria. Fully equipped kitchen, lovely gas faux wood burning stove, comfy furniture. Nearby Waynesboro has lots of great places to eat and cool architecture in it's restored downtown area. Quiet and secluded, with easy access to everything I needed.

This cottage is just perfect and I plan on staying here again. It has everything you need while on vacation and the kitchen is amazing! You think since it’s an 1800’s toll house that it would be really rustic but it was updated with modern amenities and still has the original charm. The only problem I had is that the Wi-Fi was pretty awful and I couldn’t watch TV and my cell phone didn’t have service and without Wi-Fi it was pretty useless except for texting. I rebooted the modem several times. I had books so it turned on out fine!

My husband wanted to go somewhere to fish (it's his zen) for our vacation/ first Anniversary. Well I found this cabin and all the things we could want this place had. My husband fished in the lake, we had a fire every night. We loved the bed it was so comfortable, we both have bad back's. We would love to come back again and stay.

This place is lovely. It feels very rustic and tucked away, but it is so close to so many things! Everything about the place itself was so intentional. We loved the record player, the gas fireplace, the fan/space heater in the bedroom! We had a small issue upon arrival, and the host was so responsive and accommodating - it just made us enjoy the stay more!! One thing to note - and this didn't bother us at all (we slept SO well) - is that there is some overnight truck traffic on the bridge behind the cabin, so if you are a light sleeper, definitely plan accordingly!

Worked for us to visit the area. Appreciated cooperation of host on every level. The yard was very effective for our pups. It is as listed. Follow info sent on details…lot of stuff there that could be overlooked that makes your visit more successful.

We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The cabin itself was roomy and relaxing. Loved the gas fireplace and gas stove for cooking! The small fenced yard was perfect for our dog. We also enjoyed the outdoor picnic /fire pit area! We even got a close up of an adult bald eagle that flew across the stream and rested on the lower branch of the mature tree on the property! The location was not as isolated as I thought it would be from the photo and we went in late fall! I’m sure the area around the cabin is much more scenic from late spring through early fall. There are other homes nearby and the cabin rests just below and a stones throw from a two lane road! The road noise people talked about on the reviews was not a big deal and after you pull up in the parking area, the cabin that is right off the road feels more…well Woodsy! Very convenient location! You’re just 5 minutes from the nearby small town with plenty of places to eat and in addition, you’re just a scenic 35 minute drive to Gettysburg which is a great place to visit! Michele was an excellent host with many recommendations! She was very helpful and checking in and out process was super easy!

This place is lovely. It feels very rustic and tucked away, but it is so close to so many things! Everything about the place itself was so intentional. We loved the record player, the gas fireplace, the fan/space heater in the bedroom! After a really stressful couple of weeks this property was just what we needed to reset our minds and bodies.The fact that we were able to bring our dog with us was a definite bonus. We spent most of our time relaxing on the porch with Zoey laying in the fenced in yard. Other times we sat by the creek and watched the geese and goslings swimming down stream. There is some road noise as mentioned in the description however we easily tuned it out and at night in the bedroom it was basically non existent.

We had a wonderful stay at this charming little cabin, located in a beautiful location on the stream. Yeah, there's a little bit of road noise, but it's easily ignored and the cabin is actually semi-isolated. In fact you can see it from the road only if you know it's there. The place is perfect! I wish we were able to spend more time there. Thank you for sharing your little piece of paradise!

Very nice property along side of the Antietam Creek. Wonderful rustic charm with modern conveniences. Brilliantly located between Hagerstown MD and Gettysburg PA— good jumping off point for antiques or history.

Fully equipped kitchen, lovely gas faux wood burning stove, comfy furniture. Nearby Waynesboro has lots of great places to eat and cool architecture in it's restored downtown area. Quiet and secluded, with easy access to everything I needed.

We were so pleased with everything about this lovely home! It was clean & well supplied with everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable! We loved having the stream right there & watching the birds. The location was perfect for visiting the area & seeing the sites. We enjoyed the Fort Ritchie museum & the Greenhouse Cafe. My husband was stationed there 51 years ago. I would highly recommend this property!

We loved our stay at the Toll House cottage on Antietam Creek. We went to enjoy the fresh snow with my dog, but as other reviewers have indicated it would be terrific during the warmer months too. The land it’s on is gorgeous and inside the furniture is comfortable, the kitchen is a pleasure to cook in, and the wood stove and other heaters kept us warm. The location is convenient to multiple Civil War battlefields and Liberty Mountain is close by for skiers. Just a note: While the kitchen is well-stocked with pots, pans, trays, cutlery, and appliances, it lacks the spices and oils I’ve typically found in Vrbo homes. Be sure to bring salt, pepper, olive oil and any spices you’d like.

After exploring the town of Waynesboro each day and some evenings it was a pleasure to return and drive down the little road to our cabin of serenity and relaxation. the meandering stream was a soothing andidote to our busy day and the kitchen was adapted to all of our needs in one space. The bed tucked us in it's welcoming arms of comfort and we woke up refreshed each morning. It isn't a dream it's real.

This cottage is just perfect and I plan on staying here again. It has everything you need while on vacation and the kitchen is amazing! You think since it’s an 1800’s toll house that it would be really rustic but it was updated with modern amenities and still has the original charm. The only problem I had is that the Wi-Fi was pretty awful and I couldn’t watch TV and my cell phone didn’t have service and without Wi-Fi it was pretty useless except for texting. I rebooted the modem several times. I had books so it turned on out fine!

Had a great time in the cozy cabin for new years. Too cold and rainy to do much outside but it was a perfect spot to get away from everything and turn the cell phones off for two days. Beautiful cabin and loved the fully equipped kitchen.

The house had everything we needed and we really enjoyed our stay. The only thing that would have made it better was less road noise, but it wasn't too bad. We got visits from geese (with babies!), ducks, oodles of birds, and a few squirrels. Very cozy house and we're hoping to visit again in the winter months.

Cozy and eclectic, dog friendly, historic cottage on a secluded piece of property despite the easy access to the main road right next to it. Perfect for a little getaway or for exploring all the historic places in the surrounding area. Close to major stores etc so you’ll never go without if you forget something, but far enough to be in peace.

Host was great; very responsive. Location ideal for visiting with my local friend. Everything I never thought I’d need was provided! It was March, so had some weather, but stayed nice and warm inside. Cozy little house, clean and tidy. Hope to come back soon!
