Fairytale Stuga i Chickamauga, GA

Very unique cottage and property with several other themed lodgings and themed common areas. Goats and miniature horse on property you can pet and feed. Cottage has so many treasures to look at , beds are comfy, and space is used well. Very close to downtown Chickamauga but still in a country setting. Highly recommend this property and host.

Not as seen in photos! Pics make the place seem like a cute little themed cottage with plenty of natural light and tasteful decorations. The place was cramped and overdone with stuff, had towels and other non-curtain fabric hanging on windows. Had an overpowering scent of mildew. Everything we took into the house smells terrible now and has to be washed ASAP.

What a charming and fun place. Truly a wonderful experience for families. The host has thought of everything. Every detail is planned out, thoughtful, and geared to accommodate the guests that stay. The host was fantastic at communicating the expectations and responded promptly to every message. When we pulled in, the string lights were on, the atmospheric lighting inside was already on for us, so when you pull up and walk in for the first time, it feels quite magical. As beautiful as the home was, the owl watching station was our favorite. We wished we had more than one night there to enjoy that space more, but the wax sealing station, the fanciful things to look at in every nook and cranny is just so imaginative and fun. The little general store is adorable and we loved looking at the little trinkets for sale. The dvd and game collection to borrow from is also a wonderful touch to provide to families. The host cares deeply for this place and you can see that in all the details from the scavenger hunt, to the firewood and marshmallow roasting sticks being provided. Some of the rules are a bit different than what some are probably used to, but when you get there, you can see why those rules exist. Hands down was a wonderful experience and even though we only had one night to enjoy it, we couldn’t have asked for a better first night stay to kick off our family vacation. 100% would recommend checking this place out. The goats and mini horse are a fantastic bonus!!
