A friend of mine for over 40 years and I took a weekend together in Detroit for my birthday - this house was perfect. Exactly as listed, but with more charm. Quiet neighborhood, walking distance to some great shops and food, comfortable, well appointed, and immaculately clean. One of those places you just wish you had some more time to just "hang", and dive into the well stocked library. Great internet, appliances, washer/dryer - thanks for the perfect getaway.

My son and I stayed here for 2 nights while he attended an athletic camp at a local university. We were a 5 minute drive from the university and 5 minute walk to the lovely center of Ferndale. Perfect location. Easy access to all types of stores, great restaurants and easy access to highways to get back to the airport or a quick trip downtown. 2 bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs and a large bed and TV room In the basement. Everything was clean and very accommodating. I really appreciated the responsiveness of Liz and Zach although we never had any troubles or extra needs. I highly recommend the location.

Our stay at the house was perfect! The house is adorable, super clean, and has so many thoughtful amenities. It felt like a home away from home! The beds are very comfortable, and the location of the house is quiet. It was very peaceful. The fully-fenced backyard is cute and fun to hangout in.The hosts are so responsive and super friendly! Overall, one of the best VRBO experiences we have had and I sincerely mean that!

I won’t lie, I have stayed a lot of places that were disappointing. This place knocked it out of the park for our needs! I had a 15 month old who had a place to play and run around safely. Netflix available with the touch of a button, to distract her with Ms. Rachel as I set up the space! There were toys and other baby things available! It even had small touches like a fan and a sound machine! All things for us to feel like we were home. It was very clean and I well taken care of! The host was very responsive! Overall 10/10!

Stayed for a long weekend. This home is very clean and well maintained. Has everything you might need plus a nice little backyard area. The location is great if you're visiting Ferndale or areas of the city. The hosts are the best. Very communicative and helpful. Highly recommended.

We loved our two nights at the Little Yellow House. Outstanding was the quietness of the neighborhood (I don’t think I heard a single thing all night) and the exceptionally well provided-for and thoughtfully organized rooms. Also, it was utterly clean (looks newly renovated). The basement, with a tv room and third bedroom, doesn’t smell like a basement at all, and was as warm as the upstairs. Very comfortable throughout. The hosts were excellent communicators. Check in/out was smooth and easy. We’ve stayed in a lot of VRBOs and this was one of the best. Thanks! We would love to come back!

So I ended up staying here alone for an entire week. It was the perfect little house and I could see renting it for a girls weekend or couples weekend. The furniture they picked out fits perfectly and I loved that laundry was on the first floor. Location was close to great restaurants & grocery stores. I felt safe and there were single women walking their dogs through out the neighborhood. Backyard was cute & it was nice knowing the neighbors were watching out for me as well since I was alone. Owners were easy to contact if needed. I would definitely rent again

The house was extremely clean, with super comfortable beds, easy check in and check out. Great yard space, quiet neighborhood, close to everywhere we wanted to go. Liz was a pleasure to deal with. We're already planning our next trip!

We so enjoyed our stay in the Little Yellow House. The location was perfect for walkers like us. It was beautifully decorated and had a well-stocked kitchen. We enjoyed the coffee & tea! The Smart TV was easy to use and full of good options. There is a cute backyard too. Overall a terrific choice and we hope to return for another stay in the future.

Walking distance to all the sights in Ferndale, but far enough from the main streets to keep things quiet at night. The space was cozy, small but had everything I needed to make my trip a success. Liz and Zach were great hosts and communicated the perfect amount.

This house is attractively furnished and appointed, with everything one needs. The sheets are very soft, the toiletries are good, there is plenty of bathroom vanity space, and there are even several night lights thoughtfully placed. We would be happy to stay here again.

It was just me me, and whoa, this place is deceptively large once you notice the downstairs, which I didn't even use. Ran into a little random thing which the hosts were super-helpful and responsive with.I didn't cook there, can't comment on kitchen readiness for that.HIghly recommended as a home base- You can walk to everything you absolutely need and then you're going to have to drive everywhere else (because Detroit) and it's centrally located.

The home was very clean and well stocked with everything you would need for a stay. Beds were really comfortable. Way better than staying at a hotel. Liz & Zach were very helpful from start to finish. Highly recommended!
The home was very clean and well stocked with everything you would need for a stay. Beds were really comfortable. Way better than staying at a hotel. Liz & Zach were very helpful from start to finish. Highly recommended!

The house was very comfortable and close to everything we wanted to do. The owners were also very responsive. The power was out when we first arrived, due to no fault of them, but they refunded us for the first night. We highly recommend staying here.

We had a great stay at this property. Location was lovely, we felt very safe and a lot to do around the area. Liz was great at making sure we had everything we need. Property was very clean.

We had a great long weekend at the Little Yellow House! The house was super cute and very clean. The location was perfect, just down the street from Downtown Ferndale. Highly recommend. We would absolutely stay here again!

A friend of mine for over 40 years and I took a weekend together in Detroit for my birthday - this house was perfect. Exactly as listed, but with more charm. Quiet neighborhood, walking distance to some great shops and food, comfortable, well appointed, and immaculately clean. One of those places you just wish you had some more time to just "hang", and dive into the well stocked library. Great internet, appliances, washer/dryer - thanks for the perfect getaway.

My son and I stayed here for 2 nights while he attended an athletic camp at a local university. We were a 5 minute drive from the university and 5 minute walk to the lovely center of Ferndale. Perfect location. Easy access to all types of stores, great restaurants and easy access to highways to get back to the airport or a quick trip downtown. 2 bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs and a large bed and TV room In the basement. Everything was clean and very accommodating. I really appreciated the responsiveness of Liz and Zach although we never had any troubles or extra needs. I highly recommend the location.

This house was just as it looked in the listing. It was very clean and well stocked. The owners were great at communicating and very helpful. Walking distance to cute shopping and dining and an incredible bakery. Also a short drive to downtown Detroit, so we could easily get to those attractions but then return to the house as a peaceful oasis on the trip. Will definitely book again if back in Detroit.

So I ended up staying here alone for an entire week. It was the perfect little house and I could see renting it for a girls weekend or couples weekend. The furniture they picked out fits perfectly and I loved that laundry was on the first floor. Location was close to great restaurants & grocery stores. I felt safe and there were single women walking their dogs through out the neighborhood. Backyard was cute & it was nice knowing the neighbors were watching out for me as well since I was alone. Owners were easy to contact if needed. I would definitely rent again

We were visiting the area for a wedding and needed a home base. This house was perfect. Exactly as advertised, clean, perfectly located for easy access to Ferndale restaurants and shops and also downtown Detroit. It was so easy to have our disabled four year old here and the house was cozy and well stocked. The owners were super thoughtful and responsive. We will stay here again and recommend to everyone!

We so enjoyed our stay in the Little Yellow House. The location was perfect for walkers like us. It was beautifully decorated and had a well-stocked kitchen. We enjoyed the coffee & tea! The Smart TV was easy to use and full of good options. There is a cute backyard too. Overall a terrific choice and we hope to return for another stay in the future.
