This is a great place to stay on Friday and Saturday. After Saturday night rodeo there is almost nothing else to do on the resort. The bar is closed after 12 pm on Sunday and reservations are extremely limited at their restaurant. James at trap and skeet made the entire experience worth it. If you have a reservation at the restaurant don’t bother trying to get there sooner as Heather will just be rude and make you wait until your reservation time. The bar seemed to be understaffed all night and was very slow. The check in process can also be very lengthy so be prepared for that. All in all, River Ranch is a great place to stay if you book activities and arrive on a Friday and plan to leave early Sunday. Note restaurant times and closures and be prepared to seek alternatives.

We stayed in the glamping area and it was a unique experience. Our tent was big and very comfortable. My kids loved camping with style. The service, the activities were amazing. The only thing I didn’t enjoy was the lack of activities or open restaurants/bar on Sunday night, Friday and Saturday are well worth the experience.

lots to do, friendly people. Great place to go. but, there are some simple "resort" necessities needed. Like a complimentary Ice Machine, coffee in the room, water. if you are going to call yourself resort you need these items complimentary. Or don't call yourself a resort. It's more of a timeshare facility. Bring your own everything.

My family and I loved our 2 night stay. The place is beautiful, the food was delicious and there is so much activity to do. The Rodeo was fantastic , incredible 90 minute show, very entertaining . Recommend this place for families.

The staff was amazing. Shout out to the young lady at the activity center Thursday March 20th who closed. You can tell how much she loves her job. Super friendly and great customer care. Juan at Smokehouse was phenomenal. He does make his food with love. I wish I remembered names but everyone we encountered had smiles on their faces and looked genuinely happy to help. Things we were disappointed in were having nothing to do after 6pm. We did not realize nighttime activities are scarce during the week. Very disappointing. Also, the prices for pretty much everything were exhorbitant. You have the monopoly on everything because there is nothing for miles where one could go to get food or necessities or any restaurants off property. This is not the place to vacation on a budget as literally everything has an extra cost.

Our family had a wonderful time at this place. We had fun using complimentary poles for fishing, line dancing on Saturday night, renting a golf cart to get around, and roasting marshmallows at the big fire that the staff lights every evening. One word of caution is that there’s no other stores for about 25 minutes drive and the items at the store on property are priced about 3x what they’d be at the grocery store. They seemed to have one woman who worked the drinks stand during the rodeo and the coffee shop in the morning- she did a great job but for the rush they should have had 3 more staff-. Get your own groceries and have fun!!

The room was very clean and the location is beautiful specially the activities section is very cute for pictures and for the kids to have fun. The pool was also nice however I feel like it was very full of people the entire location and not enough employees to guide us to the activities communications was very vague and I hard a hard time to fine the locations and check ins for the activities. Also there was no breakfast service during the week for the people who stayed in the lodge and those rooms have no kitchens that was a problem for us. In overall it was good I would just be more prepared with snacks and maybe try to get a room with a kitchen.

We will be back again this summer! We absolutely would recomend this Glamping experience! We had a fun and safe time. The golf cart made it so easy to ventor off to all the fun activiting. We enjoyed fishing, great food and dranks at the restaurants. We did the petting zoo. The Perfect Getaway!amazing!

In general, this is a good place to visit with family but the rooms are outdated and not in good condition. The rooms look nice outside, but they are bad inside. The beds were uncomfortable and noisy, the bathroom was pretty old with some mold, old caulking and rusty metals. The room smelled bad and I checked the air filters because of the smell and they were extremely dirty and dusty. The restaurants are pretty much closed at all times and the ice cream store was shut down right before we paid for our breakfast so we were forced to go to the big restaurant that had expensive prices and small portions.

I was very disappointed because all their activities were not available! I wanted to do rock climbing,zipline not available anymore. Everything close at 3pm. The only place to eat open at 5pm. This place is beautiful but is in a middle of nowhere,so to find a place to you need to drive 25 miles away. I booked this place for theirs activities but there was nothing to do.The place is beautiful and clean.

My experience at Westgate River Ranch was excellent. The facilities are very well maintained and everything was clean and organized. The room was spotless, with comfortable beds in great condition, which made the stay even more enjoyable. I really liked everything overall, from the atmosphere to the service. I would definitely recommend it and would love to come back.

We could not check into the room until after 6:00pm, after it was inspected. There were not enough staff to help at peak check-in. We were underwhelmed when we entered our "suite". The floor was dirty so we cleaned it with damp paper towels, the closet door was off the track (my husband fixed it), the night stand drawers were stuck & the bathroom was small. We also found a dirty diaper under a bed. We couldn't get a drink while waiting for the room because the Saloon is only open Fri. & Sat., the new restaurant opens on Tues. & the Smokehouse only has beer and wine in cans. Even the bar in reception was closed. We never saw the Graze food truck. We've never been to any resort where there wasn't enough staff to keep the restaurants open and this is tourist season. The next day we went to Wild Florida safari, stopped at Publix & brought food back. I don't go on vacation to cook and clean. On the plus side our grandson enjoyed the cowboy park, arcade & putt putt. When we returned from Wild safari, the room had not been tidied & nor had the towels been replaced. We had to ask for clean towels. We will not recommend the resort to our friends.

As soon as we walked in our room we were punched in the face with an overwhelming moldy musty smell. Our floor felt as if there was sand all over it. There was NO hot water in the kitchen faucet. Breakfast- got two coffees and two bagel breakfast sandwiches and it was 37$!! That’s insane!! The general store is completely overpriced as well. Some staff was friendly and some acted like you were interrupting them when you wanted to purchase something. My husband and I wanted to play mini golf but couldn’t find anyone to help us ( we tried twice ). The establishment is cute and the different areas are unique but it’s not a place I would visit again in the future nor would I recommend.

A magical place. Cleanliness of the place impressed me, I forgot the name of the receptionist, I forgot the name of the receptionist, I know she was of Chinese origin with a lot of respect, pleasant, attentive, she explained everything to us. We return as soon as we can.

This is my third time there there won’t be a 4th. We have stayed in thw tepees, and the condo cabins. Roaches in everyone. Good luck trying to get anyone/manager to make things right. Zero remedies. My recommendation is to bring your roach spray.

In general, this is a good place to visit with family but the rooms are outdated and not in good condition. The rooms look nice outside, but they are bad inside. The beds were uncomfortable and noisy, the bathroom was pretty old with some mold, old caulking and rusty metals. The room smelled bad and I checked the air filters because of the smell and they were extremely dirty and dusty. The restaurants are pretty much closed at all times and the ice cream store was shut down right before we paid for our breakfast so we were forced to go to the big restaurant that had expensive prices and small portions.

I love to go to Westgate with my family. We always have a great time. They have updated many of the common areas and have more eating options. They have a ton of activities for the kids and family to do. The room would benefit from an update, but we were just there to sleep. We were busy all day enjoying all the resort activities. I recommend to go with the kids. They love it.

The resort was equipped with fun activities and dining options offered were of great value. Room was quaint yet clean and everything was in good working order. Loved the safety of being in a resort yet very close to nature. We only stayed 1 night but would love to come back for rodeo night on a saturday and maybe stay in a glamping tent just for the heck of it. Indiana was out guide for horseback riding and she had some fun stories as well as knowledge about the ranch which we enjoyed very much. Definitely coming back, maybe with a group of friends to multiply the fun!

Was our first time visiting this place. I was excited about it because I always wanted to visit it. Place is nice, clean the rooms may need some upgrades, but nothing extreme. I thought that because it is a resort some of the activities were included. We had a great time, but I don’t think we will come back.

We could not check into the room until after 6:00pm, after it was inspected. There were not enough staff to help at peak check-in. We were underwhelmed when we entered our "suite". The floor was dirty so we cleaned it with damp paper towels, the closet door was off the track (my husband fixed it), the night stand drawers were stuck & the bathroom was small. We also found a dirty diaper under a bed. We couldn't get a drink while waiting for the room because the Saloon is only open Fri. & Sat., the new restaurant opens on Tues. & the Smokehouse only has beer and wine in cans. Even the bar in reception was closed. We never saw the Graze food truck. We've never been to any resort where there wasn't enough staff to keep the restaurants open and this is tourist season. The next day we went to Wild Florida safari, stopped at Publix & brought food back. I don't go on vacation to cook and clean. On the plus side our grandson enjoyed the cowboy park, arcade & putt putt. When we returned from Wild safari, the room had not been tidied & nor had the towels been replaced. We had to ask for clean towels. We will not recommend the resort to our friends.

We stayed in the glamping area and it was a unique experience. Our tent was big and very comfortable. My kids loved camping with style. The service, the activities were amazing. The only thing I didn’t enjoy was the lack of activities or open restaurants/bar on Sunday night, Friday and Saturday are well worth the experience.

Nice place. Kids had a good time. Not encouraged to go there if you are a minority. You wont feel welcomed. The staff is great, but the type of people that go there arent really folks that likely share the same interests as you do. There are Confederate flags all over; etc. Hotel rooms are no bueno, old. IF you want something nice, you need to spend the money glamping or have your own trailer.

We stayed at Westgate River Ranch glamping, so, for the price we paid, we could find a better place, much much better place! Especially for $260 per night for the tent. Do not recommend! It is not a glamping... it is just a camping, pretending to be a luxury style - glamping. Nothing was special. First of all the staff wasn't friendly nor helpful. Didn't warn about bunch of raccoons, who broke inside the tent at night... Didn't give us the information about amenities, we had to ask all questions first. They gave us a tent with strong smell of mold and then when we asked to change, they moved us to another tent, a little bit better, but still the same issue... The AC's from other tents were super loud... It was a birthday gift and we are super disappointed.

Austin my bartender was amazing and alway greeted me with a smile and was very attentive and responsive to all my needs. Good service was amazing and customer service from Austin was out of this world also

This is a great place to stay on Friday and Saturday. After Saturday night rodeo there is almost nothing else to do on the resort. The bar is closed after 12 pm on Sunday and reservations are extremely limited at their restaurant. James at trap and skeet made the entire experience worth it. If you have a reservation at the restaurant don’t bother trying to get there sooner as Heather will just be rude and make you wait until your reservation time. The bar seemed to be understaffed all night and was very slow. The check in process can also be very lengthy so be prepared for that. All in all, River Ranch is a great place to stay if you book activities and arrive on a Friday and plan to leave early Sunday. Note restaurant times and closures and be prepared to seek alternatives.

The staff was amazing. Shout out to the young lady at the activity center Thursday March 20th who closed. You can tell how much she loves her job. Super friendly and great customer care. Juan at Smokehouse was phenomenal. He does make his food with love. I wish I remembered names but everyone we encountered had smiles on their faces and looked genuinely happy to help. Things we were disappointed in were having nothing to do after 6pm. We did not realize nighttime activities are scarce during the week. Very disappointing. Also, the prices for pretty much everything were exhorbitant. You have the monopoly on everything because there is nothing for miles where one could go to get food or necessities or any restaurants off property. This is not the place to vacation on a budget as literally everything has an extra cost.

The room was very clean and the location is beautiful specially the activities section is very cute for pictures and for the kids to have fun. The pool was also nice however I feel like it was very full of people the entire location and not enough employees to guide us to the activities communications was very vague and I hard a hard time to fine the locations and check ins for the activities. Also there was no breakfast service during the week for the people who stayed in the lodge and those rooms have no kitchens that was a problem for us. In overall it was good I would just be more prepared with snacks and maybe try to get a room with a kitchen.

Resort was really nice BUT there were barely any options for eating which is a big thing since your so far in it isn’t easy to just order something or go somewhere and eat out. We ate at the same restaurant the whole trip and it was NOT great. There is 0 service in there as well. No housekeeping either. Rodeo was nice. Wouldn’t go again for the money you pay.

I was very disappointed because all their activities were not available! I wanted to do rock climbing,zipline not available anymore. Everything close at 3pm. The only place to eat open at 5pm. This place is beautiful but is in a middle of nowhere,so to find a place to you need to drive 25 miles away. I booked this place for theirs activities but there was nothing to do.The place is beautiful and clean.

Great place for families! Lots of activities for everyone. Beautiful location and a great getaway. Only negative was the prices at the General Store. Understand they have to make a profit but we went in to buy a pack of beer for a family and friends gathering and the price was $32.00 for a 12 pack!!! I thought my husband was kidding when he told me! I looked online and normal pricing is at most $14 and change. Guess it’s best to buy groceries etc somewhere other than there. Will definitely go back but not to the General Store 😊

My family and I loved our 2 night stay. The place is beautiful, the food was delicious and there is so much activity to do. The Rodeo was fantastic , incredible 90 minute show, very entertaining . Recommend this place for families.

Our family had a wonderful time at this place. We had fun using complimentary poles for fishing, line dancing on Saturday night, renting a golf cart to get around, and roasting marshmallows at the big fire that the staff lights every evening. One word of caution is that there’s no other stores for about 25 minutes drive and the items at the store on property are priced about 3x what they’d be at the grocery store. They seemed to have one woman who worked the drinks stand during the rodeo and the coffee shop in the morning- she did a great job but for the rush they should have had 3 more staff-. Get your own groceries and have fun!!

The restaurants are pretty much closed at all times and the ice cream store was shut down right before we paid for our breakfast so we were forced to go to the big restaurant that had expensive prices and small portions.

Great place for families! Lots of activities for everyone. Beautiful location and a great getaway. Only negative was the prices at the General Store. Understand they have to make a profit but we went in to buy a pack of beer for a family and friends gathering and the price was $32.00 for a 12 pack!!! I thought my husband was kidding when he told me! I looked online and normal pricing is at most $14 and change. Guess it’s best to buy groceries etc somewhere other than there. Will definitely go back but not to the General Store 😊

We stayed in the glamping area and it was a unique experience. Our tent was big and very comfortable. My kids loved camping with style. The service, the activities were amazing. The only thing I didn’t enjoy was the lack of activities or open restaurants/bar on Sunday night, Friday and Saturday are well worth the experience.

My family and I loved our 2 night stay. The place is beautiful, the food was delicious and there is so much activity to do. The Rodeo was fantastic , incredible 90 minute show, very entertaining . Recommend this place for families.

The staff was amazing. Shout out to the young lady at the activity center Thursday March 20th who closed. You can tell how much she loves her job. Super friendly and great customer care. Juan at Smokehouse was phenomenal. He does make his food with love. I wish I remembered names but everyone we encountered had smiles on their faces and looked genuinely happy to help. Things we were disappointed in were having nothing to do after 6pm. We did not realize nighttime activities are scarce during the week. Very disappointing. Also, the prices for pretty much everything were exhorbitant. You have the monopoly on everything because there is nothing for miles where one could go to get food or necessities or any restaurants off property. This is not the place to vacation on a budget as literally everything has an extra cost.

Our family had a wonderful time at this place. We had fun using complimentary poles for fishing, line dancing on Saturday night, renting a golf cart to get around, and roasting marshmallows at the big fire that the staff lights every evening. One word of caution is that there’s no other stores for about 25 minutes drive and the items at the store on property are priced about 3x what they’d be at the grocery store. They seemed to have one woman who worked the drinks stand during the rodeo and the coffee shop in the morning- she did a great job but for the rush they should have had 3 more staff-. Get your own groceries and have fun!!

The room was very clean and the location is beautiful specially the activities section is very cute for pictures and for the kids to have fun. The pool was also nice however I feel like it was very full of people the entire location and not enough employees to guide us to the activities communications was very vague and I hard a hard time to fine the locations and check ins for the activities. Also there was no breakfast service during the week for the people who stayed in the lodge and those rooms have no kitchens that was a problem for us. In overall it was good I would just be more prepared with snacks and maybe try to get a room with a kitchen.

Resort was really nice BUT there were barely any options for eating which is a big thing since your so far in it isn’t easy to just order something or go somewhere and eat out. We ate at the same restaurant the whole trip and it was NOT great. There is 0 service in there as well. No housekeeping either. Rodeo was nice. Wouldn’t go again for the money you pay.

The rooms looks very old and dark, and it desperately needs an update. The cleanliness was not up to standard. The food was not good, and the breakfast was incredibly expensive for the low quality provided. This same issue applies to the hotel activities, which are far too pricey and do not offer good value for the experience.

We traveled with 3 teens and an 8-year-old for 3 nights. The watersides were a hit, and the activities in the saloon each evening kept their attention (karaoke, trivia, line dancing). There is a wasp/hornet problem on the property, including in the cottages. Staff was quick to respond to our calls for wasp spray or to take care of the wasp nests. The concern we had as a family was that during the week all of the activities close down quite early leaving us to be creative starting around 5 PM. Also, there was hardly any shade anywhere, making it challenging to enjoy the activities (gun range, adventure park, fishing, etc.). Another notable concern were the restaurant hours. One of the main restaurants is closed during the week, and the other is used for special events and closed as well. Luckily, we had a cottage with a kitchen and bought a hefty amount of groceries. Guests without full kitchens are very limited. Overall, we made great memories and it was a relaxed atmosphere. The kids enjoyed shooting guns and horseback riding and the farm had some cool animals. Just be sure to manage your expectations.

Really great location and lots of fun things. The horse riding and animals were great, but more care needs to be used to maintain the property and more of a sense of urgency with the staff to take care of guests . Lack of staff and things being taken care of.
