Our second stay at the Hotel Meridional. Friendly welcome. The hotel is small but sits in a perfect location only a few metres from the beach and very short walk to several restaurants/bars. It is about a 10/15 minute walk into the centre of Guardamar. The rooms are fairly small but adequate. We were in 303 on third floor. My Daughter was in 112 which looked like it had been recently refurbished and was more comfortable but didnt have a sea view. There is a small pool with some jets. Breakfast was very nice. Nice roof bar with great views. Parking available but is 16 euros per night. All in all a nice hotel in a great location but perhaps reaching a point where the rooms need full modernisation.

El hotel está bien, no como para 4 estrellas ( las fotos están muy bien tomadas) tiene un solo ascensor que es muy pequeño y generalmente está lleno, hay que esperar hasta 15 minutos para poder utilizar. El aire acondicionado le falta enfriar más. En nuestro cuarto teníamos un pared de un baño de otra habitación y se oía cada vez que lo usaban. Nosotros pagamos el parking y menos mal porque es muy difícil encontrar donde aparcar cerca. El restaurante la comida no estaba mal, pero muy costosa en comparación con otros lugares. No pagamos pensión en el hotel y menos mal porque con lo que cuesta el desayuno de una persona puedes comer bien en otro sitio. La piscina muy pequeña y tienes que llegar temprano porque luego no consigues lugar. Los empleados muy amables. La ubicación muy cerca de la playa. Se encuentra lejos del área comercial.

Good Reception with friendly staff, but we were given a broken key for the room and then got blamed for breaking it which was rather annoying. We were booked for a 3 night stay, but left after 1 night which incurred a full nights penalty payment. Pool is not adequate, the picture they use is for the Spa which was not open while we were there, and it is separate from the hotel over the road behind a corrugated metal fence and a locked gate which we were given another key for, rooms are basic to say the least, and the Hotel is in the middle of nowhere, nothing around about. The Restaurant on the other hand is pretentious, with nothing really on offer for lunch, even a salad is a 'salt fish ensalada' for around 22 Euros, and the staff seemed a bit aloof. In contrast, the breakfast was very poor. The hotels saving =grace was a very well kept beach nearby, but 25 Euros for 2 beds and a brolly.

Great Hotel, Sky bar, Spa, Restaurant and pool. We were a little disappointed with our hotel room. No bidet in an otherwise good bathroom (a must in hot climate). Our room was on the first floor corner with restricted sea view that left us slightly disappointed. Would we recommend this Hotel- Yes, just request a higher floor!

Hotel Review Things I Didn’t Like 1. Refrigerator Issues – The in-room refrigerator didn’t keep drinks cold. We solved this by bringing our own cooler and filling it with ice each day. Unfortunately, the hotel doesn’t provide ice, have an ice machine, or even sell ice. 2. Weak Air Conditioning – The A/C blows air, but very lightly. Even with the thermostat set to the lowest setting, the room never got truly cold. 3. Low-Quality Towels – For a four-star hotel, the towels were disappointing. They felt cheap, as if they came from a bargain store. 4. Bed Design – The beds aren’t attached to the wall. If you’re traveling as a couple, expect the bed to slide around the room. 5. Restaurant Experience Unknown – I didn’t eat at the hotel restaurant, only the free breakfast that came with my upgraded room. Things I Liked 1. El hotel está bien situado y está reformado. Las habitaciones son cómodas y se agradece tener un balconcito. Nos gustó mucho el sky bar y los cocktails y el servicio era muy bueno. El personal de recepción muy agradable y atento pero el de cafetería muy borde. Fuimos a preguntar para poder desayunar sin ir al buffet y nos mandaron a un sitio a sentarnos que era como una sala de estar (en la que no estaba preparada para atender para comer porque eran mesas bajas) y estuvieron sin traernos la carta ni hacernos caso hasta que decidimos irnos. Era como o tomas buffet o no me interesa que estés aquí. Muy mala sensación. Encontramos opciones de desayuno cerca muy buenas.

Fantastisk beliggenhet, kun noen få meter fra stranden. Veldig hyggelig betjening. Det eneste som var virkelig dårlig, var frokosten. Kun en av 5 dager var de varme rettene varme. Lite utvalg i tillegg. Det er nok en god idé å spise frokost et annet sted. Sky Baren er veldig bra med topp utsikt over havet. Bra betjening der også.

We stayed in a junior suite room for one night. We went to the sky bar on the top floor for drinks in the evening then to a local Italian restaurant. A perfect location on the beach, our room had a fabulous see view.

Bra mindre hotell med trevlig personal. Rent och snyggt överallt. Takbar som är väl värd att besöka flera gånger. Hotellet ligger mycket nära bra bad, solstolar och en Chirinqito. Vi valde balkong med havsutsikt den här gången och var mycket nöjda. Rummen är något små och lyhörda men fräscha och bra sängar och badrum. Många bra restauranger i närheten.

Great location right on the beach with super friendly staff and walking distance to everything. Nice clean rooms, great views, Resturant and spa. Highly recommend

Our second stay at the Hotel Meridional. Friendly welcome. The hotel is small but sits in a perfect location only a few metres from the beach and very short walk to several restaurants/bars. It is about a 10/15 minute walk into the centre of Guardamar. The rooms are fairly small but adequate. We were in 303 on third floor. My Daughter was in 112 which looked like it had been recently refurbished and was more comfortable but didnt have a sea view. There is a small pool with some jets. Breakfast was very nice. Nice roof bar with great views. Parking available but is 16 euros per night. All in all a nice hotel in a great location but perhaps reaching a point where the rooms need full modernisation.

El hotel está bien, no como para 4 estrellas ( las fotos están muy bien tomadas) tiene un solo ascensor que es muy pequeño y generalmente está lleno, hay que esperar hasta 15 minutos para poder utilizar. El aire acondicionado le falta enfriar más. En nuestro cuarto teníamos un pared de un baño de otra habitación y se oía cada vez que lo usaban. Nosotros pagamos el parking y menos mal porque es muy difícil encontrar donde aparcar cerca. El restaurante la comida no estaba mal, pero muy costosa en comparación con otros lugares. No pagamos pensión en el hotel y menos mal porque con lo que cuesta el desayuno de una persona puedes comer bien en otro sitio. La piscina muy pequeña y tienes que llegar temprano porque luego no consigues lugar. Los empleados muy amables. La ubicación muy cerca de la playa. Se encuentra lejos del área comercial.

Parking was easy and free since i stayed off season, however hotel offers onsite parking for an affordable price at 8€. A short walk on the beach takes you to the boardwalk where there are restaurants and bars. Friendly front desk staff, the room I was given had a strong cigarette smell and I was immediately moved to another room with better view. Unsure that would be possible during the busy summer season. Make sure you check if you want a non-smoking room. Adequate for a 1 night stay.

Bra mindre hotell med trevlig personal. Rent och snyggt överallt. Takbar som är väl värd att besöka flera gånger. Hotellet ligger mycket nära bra bad, solstolar och en Chirinqito. Vi valde balkong med havsutsikt den här gången och var mycket nöjda. Rummen är något små och lyhörda men fräscha och bra sängar och badrum. Många bra restauranger i närheten.

Great Hotel, Sky bar, Spa, Restaurant and pool. We were a little disappointed with our hotel room. No bidet in an otherwise good bathroom (a must in hot climate). Hotel Review Things I Didn’t Like 1. Refrigerator Issues – The in-room refrigerator didn’t keep drinks cold. We solved this by bringing our own cooler and filling it with ice each day. The hotel is very nice. The room had a balcony with an amazing sea view and the was spacious. There was a drying rack on the balcony to hang my bathing suit after a swim at the beach. The restaurant had great food and service. However, I asked for a double bed and not two single beds put together. The front desk staff said they saved me a room with a double bed. However, it was two single beds made up together. They should be clear if they don’t have double beds. The room was also right under the sky bar and spa, which could be noisy. I asked for another room and moved to the 2nd floor with two single beds. I didn’t want the buffet breakfast, but asked if I could get a small breakfast at the hotel. I was told by the front desk staff that I could, but all you can get is coffee and croissant and they didn’t have any croissants the first day. I ate breakfast out every morning for around 5 euros ( including a waffle with fruit one day, omlette another day, and a fried egg with toast another day) which is better than paying 15 euros at the hotel for the buffet. They should offer alternatives for breakfast. I did have coffee and a croissant on my last morning. It was 5 euros, which is more expensive than nearby restaurants charge for just that. Also, I asked for ice and I could buy a drink with ice or get ice from store. The ice I bought melted after two days in mini fridge. Also, the hotel is beachfront at a great beach but doesn’t provide any chairs or umbrellas for guests.

The staff needs to be sent on service minded training. Grumpier staff I haven’t seen in a long time. Further, they will not open a bottle for you and tell you it’s not allowed in a very bad way. They will not lend you glasses and again they will tell you that in a very rude way. If it wasn’t for the excellent food in the restaurant I would have rated this place even lower.

El hotel está bien situado y está reformado. Las habitaciones son cómodas y se agradece tener un balconcito. Nos gustó mucho el sky bar y los cocktails y el servicio era muy bueno. El personal de recepción muy agradable y atento pero el de cafetería muy borde. Fuimos a preguntar para poder desayunar sin ir al buffet y nos mandaron a un sitio a sentarnos que era como una sala de estar (en la que no estaba preparada para atender para comer porque eran mesas bajas) y estuvieron sin traernos la carta ni hacernos caso hasta que decidimos irnos. Era como o tomas buffet o no me interesa que estés aquí. Muy mala sensación. Encontramos opciones de desayuno cerca muy buenas.

Veldig bra hotell. Fantastisk beliggenhet like ved stranda, rent og pent og nydelig mat. God service og hyggelig personale. Veldig lytt, men det var i hovedsak voksne gjester som lagde lite bråk.

Hotel Review Things I Didn’t Like 1. Refrigerator Issues – The in-room refrigerator didn’t keep drinks cold. We solved this by bringing our own cooler and filling it with ice each day. Unfortunately, the hotel doesn’t provide ice, have an ice machine, or even sell ice. 2. Weak Air Conditioning – The A/C blows air, but very lightly. Even with the thermostat set to the lowest setting, the room never got truly cold. 3. Low-Quality Towels – For a four-star hotel, the towels were disappointing. El hotel está bien situado y está reformado. Las habitaciones son cómodas y se agradece tener un balconcito. Nos gustó mucho el sky bar y los cocktails y el servicio era muy bueno. El personal de recepción muy agradable y atento pero el de cafetería muy borde. Fuimos a preguntar para poder desayunar sin ir al buffet y nos mandaron a un sitio a sentarnos que era como una sala de estar (en la que no estaba preparada para atender para comer porque eran mesas bajas) y estuvieron sin traernos la carta ni hacernos caso hasta que decidimos irnos. Era como o tomas buffet o no me interesa que estés aquí. Muy mala sensación. Encontramos opciones de desayuno cerca muy buenas.

The hotel is very nice. The room had a balcony with an amazing sea view and the was spacious. There was a drying rack on the balcony to hang my bathing suit after a swim at the beach. The restaurant had great food and service. However, I asked for a double bed and not two single beds put together. The front desk staff said they saved me a room with a double bed. However, it was two single beds made up together. They should be clear if they don’t have double beds. The room was also right under the sky bar and spa, which could be noisy. I asked for another room and moved to the 2nd floor with two single beds. I didn’t want the buffet breakfast, but asked if I could get a small breakfast at the hotel. I was told by the front desk staff that I could, but all you can get is coffee and croissant and they didn’t have any croissants the first day. I ate breakfast out every morning for around 5 euros ( including a waffle with fruit one day, omlette another day, and a fried egg with toast another day) which is better than paying 15 euros at the hotel for the buffet. They should offer alternatives for breakfast. I did have coffee and a croissant on my last morning. It was 5 euros, which is more expensive than nearby restaurants charge for just that. Also, I asked for ice and I could buy a drink with ice or get ice from store. The ice I bought melted after two days in mini fridge. Also, the hotel is beachfront at a great beach but doesn’t provide any chairs or umbrellas for guests.

Fantastisk beliggenhet, kun noen få meter fra stranden. Veldig hyggelig betjening. Det eneste som var virkelig dårlig, var frokosten. Kun en av 5 dager var de varme rettene varme. Lite utvalg i tillegg. Det er nok en god idé å spise frokost et annet sted. Sky Baren er veldig bra med topp utsikt over havet. Bra betjening der også.

We chose this hotel because it was close to the beach and had its own pool. The pool was smaller than I expected, but that was okay. The staff at the hotel were very helpful. What we appreciated most was at check-out, when they offered us towels and let us use the pool area for as long as we wanted. The breakfast was not a typical Norwegian breakfast, but we both found things we liked. Considering the price and location, I think it was good value for money. Since my daughter is only 9 years old, we did not travel far from the hotel, but we had everything we needed for relaxing days at the beach. We used Uber to get around and visit shopping malls.

Let me start with the positives: the hotel is conveniently located, close to the beach and a short walk from town. The lobby is beautifully decorated which gives it a nice first impression. Having said that, we had a very poor experience at this hotel for a few reasons. The rooms are tiny so don't expect much comfort or luxury. They ticked most boxes for a 4 star hotel by doing the absolute minimum: most amenities are there, but crammed into a space the size of a caravan. But the worst part was how noisy it is. There is no form of insulation, so you hear everything the neighboring guest say or do, even when they have the tv on. Unfortunately for us, in our case this went on until the early hours of the morning. When informing the staff of the hotel, they didn't really address it or what they did, had no effect. We pretty much had three nights there with little sleep. Also, cigarette smoke came into our room from the next balcony throughout the night. I would strongly recommend choosing a different hotel.
