Each unit was separate, as a single unit with gabled roof. This meant it was quiet. There was a laundry and pool, great for those of us who had returned from walking the Larapinta Trail. The back of the property borders onto the golf course, which was a good dining option. Town was only a 20-30 minute walk (depending on how fast your walking speed), so good access for shopping and the fortnightly market. The property had its own kitchenette, with coffee and tea making facilities as well as a microwave. This was very handy. I will definitely stay here again.

Parking needs to be allocated fir each unit. Park creeping occurs . Also direction of traffic in the park needs to be tightened up so that all parking is in the same direction. Otherwise, always live staying at this property.

This property has a great location if you are not wanting to stay in the City area. Its about a 20minute walk into the CBD area. There are restaurants (at neighboring properties) all within a 5 minute walk. It has BBQ's & kitchenettes in room. An onsite laundry at $5 per wash/dry. Locked property access at night - although not overly secure when it takes a couple of minutes for the gate to open/close.... Reception sell a number of daily amenities & groceries and reasonable prices. Overall, it suited our needs.

Parking at your door. Individual cabins so private. Neat and tidy cabins and surroundings. Nice pool, convenient laundry on site. You can walk to town if you like the heat, about a kilometre . We drove everywhere as it was February.

Checked into room and stayed 30 min. Wanted to lay down for a bit and the second I pulled back the sheets a spider crawled across the bed. I immediately smashed it. Also noticed there was some kind of tree or bush debris in the bed. I knew I couldn’t comfortably stay there so went to check out. I told the girl at the front desk the situation and she said, “This is the outback what do you expect?”And then she said that she would have to charge me for that day since I didn’t want to try another room even though I was there half an hour and I found an insect crawling on the bed. I had already paid for the room because I booked through Travelocity and I figured I’d just handle it when I get home. The hotel refused to refund me at all and said that I had to wait 20 days while they investigated it and wanted to know if I have pictures as if I was lying about the situation. I finally got a refund for the two nights after placing a dispute with my credit card. I’m still upset that they wouldn’t give me the $140 back especially since I found the spider And I did not appreciate a girl telling me that this is the outback and that’s just what’s gonna happen because when I checked into the new hotel, I had no bugs at all in my room. Also, the Wi-Fi is terrible. I had a hard time trying to book another hotel since I hardly had a connection. Checked into the hotel next-door had a wonderful Wi-Fi connection and a nice clean room with no insects plus it had restaurants on site.

Nice clean room, comfy bed, pretty surrounds. Friendly, helpful staff. Good to have a washer and drier on-site after two weeks in campgrounds. Local pizza place even delivers there. Definitely no spiders in the bed, or in fact anywhere else in the room ;)

The most expensive filthy room I’ve ever had! There was a sign saying to wash and put away your dishes… I’m wondering if that’s how they work on the whole room. Wouldn’t be surprised if they don’t clean every guest. Pool was nice.

Our second time staying here. This place is fabulous. Clean, spacious rooms, friendly knowledgeable staff, lovely pool area. My only recommendation is a fan for the room. The air con is too intense for the entire evening.

Comfortable bungalows with a tropical island feel, just missing the beach, a little dated but good value for money... Reception staff very friendly, cleaning staff invading the room before checkout time was a little intrusive and rude though, don't disturb people before 10am

awesome staff. Very helpful and friendly. Easy check in. i didnt have change/cash for the washer and they couldnt do cash out. The receptionist loaned me the coins and repaid her after I went into town. went above and beyond.

This property has a great location if you are not wanting to stay in the City area. Its about a 20minute walk into the CBD area. There are restaurants (at neighboring properties) all within a 5 minute walk. It has BBQ's & kitchenettes in room. An onsite laundry at $5 per wash/dry. Locked property access at night - although not overly secure when it takes a couple of minutes for the gate to open/close.... Reception sell a number of daily amenities & groceries and reasonable prices. Overall, it suited our needs.

Each unit was separate, as a single unit with gabled roof. This meant it was quiet. There was a laundry and pool, great for those of us who had returned from walking the Larapinta Trail. The back of the property borders onto the golf course, which was a good dining option. Town was only a 20-30 minute walk (depending on how fast your walking speed), so good access for shopping and the fortnightly market. The property had its own kitchenette, with coffee and tea making facilities as well as a microwave. This was very handy. I will definitely stay here again.

Great stay, room could have done with a dust but when you just sleep and are out all day it’s a small concern. Golf club was recommended for dinner but we didn’t return 2nd night as very underwhelming, but expensive. All in all a good stay, good front office service. Thank you 🙏

Bali style huts accommodation was really nice. Pool was great and the landscaped palmed gardens was very inviting. Reception very welcoming and helpful. Location fabulous - golf club & meals behind - excellent restaurants next door and also casino with a choice of good quality food. Also within walking distance was botanical gardens which was open everyday for breakfast. A marvellous stay

Staff were lovely however we had mice in our villa. First night there’s no phone number however later told there’s a phone at the reception to call but not really suitable after working 16hrs and also minus degrees in winter. Next day after work went tried to just rest due to long shift and while having some dinner 2 mice scurried under the beds. Was able to call and staff moved us. However kept up due to fear of mice again. Was offered free items from the shop. Not a suitable compensation for the sleepless nights .have escalated however received history lesson of Alice Springs rain fall in February. I have lived here 13 years. . . Rooms are extremely cold heater right above your head optimum for getting sick. Heavier blanket in closet on the ground. Will never stay here again based on experience and dealing with the management about mice and subpar offering to support the experience had here. Others may enjoy however I did not which is unfortunate. Still waiting for suitable compensation and support surrounding this.

All great, room are great love it . But because we come on winter so they maintain sweeming pool. But yeah who want swimming then the area so cold. Great all over not complain.... excellent

Failure to cancel within this time will result in a cancellation charge equal to the first night of your stay, unless otherwise stated below (see 'Things to Note' information) The Desert Palms Alice Springs will accept your cancellation without penalty up to 48 hours before your arrival. This is defined as being before 2pm (the hotel check-in time) two days before you are due to stay. Failure to arrive will result in a no show charge. Cancellation / no show fee equals the first night of your stay. A 10% fee will apply to all prepaid deposits if the booking is cancelled. All major Credit Cards accepted, Cash and Eftpos . There is a 1.8% surcharge on credit card payments. During peak periods the Desert Palms will ask for a first night non-refundable deposit to secure reservations. A mid-week housekeeping service is provided for bookings of 7 nights or more. During reception hours tea/coffee/sugar/milk and fresh towels are available from the front desk. Guest arriving after 8.00pm please contact reception before this time so arrangements can be made for gate and room access. Please note that a credit card pre-authorisation of AUD $100 is required on check in and a photocopy of a driver’s license or other photo ID is required in the same name as on the booking confirmation. This pre-authorisation is fully refundable upon check-out and subject to a damage inspection of the accommodation, no smoking in the room and return of room key. If the guests do not own a credit card, a cash bond of $100 will be required. The cash bond would be refunded after the room inspection on check out .
