Adorable boutique hotel. Note that the elevator is very tiny (fits 1 person with a suitcase) and rooms are small, but comfortable for a solo traveler. Gorgeous bar and patio. Area is residential and quiet, but close to shops and transit. Bed was superb, and staff could not have been nicer.

Hotel in South Amsterdam, close to the Zuid station and easily accessible to the central city by tram. Nice quiet residential area. But walkable to residences, and the museum quarter in about 20 minutes. Hotel decorated in a nice Greek Gods theme (i.e. Apollo). Good breakfast with lots of warm and cold choices. Small little 1-2 person elevator. Smallish room and small bathroom. Decent sized work desk. But an absolute lack of plugs for charging in useful locations - most limited I have seen in a long time.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Apollofirst hotel. Our room was well furnished and decorated. The outdoor patio is beautiful and a great place to hang out. The staff members were friendly and helpful. The stairs were very steep and tricky, so we used the elevator.

Everything about the hotel stands out - tasteful decor, rich carpeting and furniture, a most cozy room and a great bar and breakfast dining area. Nice neighborhood too. The abundance of images of Greek gods, notably Apollo himself, throughout the hotel, makes for an inquisitive review of Greek mythology.

I overall had a pretty good stay at Apollofirst Hotel, where I stayed in a single person room. The staff was super friendly and the location is wonderful. This hotel was close to many visitor sites and restaurants. The staff was particularly helpful in addressing any possible needs we had. Dutch charm resonated throughout the facility. The housekeeping staff cleaned the rooms to perfection. We had a wonderful stay.

The reason I am not happy with the stay is that the ceiling started leaking in the last night of our stay and the staff did not provide an alternative room or partial refund. As a result we had to stay in that condition without the air conditioning to avoid excessive leakage. As of today we heard nothing from the management that they said they will contact us!

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Apollofirst Boutique as a female solo traveller. The room upgrade upon checkin was a wonderful surprise, my room was stunning and spotless. The staff were extremely polite, professional and friendly and I couldn’t have asked for a better hotel. The location is perfect for exploring, less busy than the city centre but close enough to all the sights! I can’t wait for my next stay here.

Two heated rolls were brought. Delicious. Also had gf muesli. Excellent breakfast. The hotel is in a nice area with trams nearby. Vondelpark is within walking distance.

Apollofirst went above and beyond to make our week-long stay in Amsterdam perfect! Their friendly and attentive staff made sure we were comfortable, even before our visit. I contacted them with requests about our room and questions about the area. They responded promptly and offered excellent information. We felt at home from the time we arrived. Sumptuous breakfasts served in a "garden room" was perfect to begin our days, enough so we often skipped lunch. We were grateful to be in a more quiet neighborhood with parks nearby. The location was still walkable to museums and shops, and extremely convenient to public transportation. Nearby restaurants offered varied and delicious dinners. I can't say enough about this lovely place! Thank you, Apollofirst! We will definitely be back!

From correspondence prior to the trip, to superb breakfast that should not be missed, all aspects are top self. Due to our sleep schedule, we passed on house keeping several days and their personable staff still brought us fresh linens and coffee each day. Each shift at the front desk was personable and offered reliable assistance. My trip was superb, not just because Amsterdam is a wonderful city, but the kindness, warmth, and friendliness made it memorable.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Everyone was very nice. We had a broken fridge in our room and they replaced it the day we asked about it. They also fixed a squeaking door, and brought us towels and such without asking. The location is good if you want to go to the museum area, and easily walkable to trams and such nearby. If you are looking for a small boutique hotel, highly recommended.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Everyone was very nice. We had a broken fridge in our room and they replaced it the day we asked about it. They also fixed a squeaking door, and brought us towels and such without asking. The location is good if you want to go to the museum area, and easily walkable to trams and such nearby. If you are looking for a small boutique hotel, highly recommended.

Cosy Hotel located outside the city center in a pleasant neighborhood. The assigned room looked like a service room, very small, dark, with a tiny bed unsuitable for two adults and not at all up to the standard of a 4-star hotel. Fortunately, we were able to change. The reason I am not happy with the stay is that the ceiling started leaking in the last night of our stay and the staff did not provide an alternative room or partial refund. As a result we had to stay in that condition without the air conditioning to avoid excessive leakage. As of today we heard nothing from the management that they said they will contact us!

Stayed here for my first visit to Amsterdam. The price seemed competitive compared to a lot of other Amsterdam hotels, especially compared to those downtown. The neighborhood is beautiful, nested in a more residential area. The location is very close to the museums but a little but further away from the North part of town. Highly recommend especially if you don't mind being a little further away from downtown.

Nice hotel in a great location in the “old south”area of Amsterdam (not a touristy area). Hotel staff all great and special kudos for the manager. Hotel is on a quiet street but only a five minute walk from coffee shops, bakeries, restaurants and the stop for the GVB tram line. On the tram you can get to Museumplein area in 10 minutes and Centraal station in 25 minutes. About a 15 minute walk to Vondelpark and there are nice restaurants and shops near Vondelpark too.

We loved our stay. The staff were very welcoming and our room comfortable, clean and easy walking distance to the museums and the Vondelpark. The hotel was affordable and very close to the trams and buses entering the old city. The international breakfast buffet was very good.

Great location. Spacious standard room and nice bathroom. Only downside would be a few light bulbs were out and no snack bar an available after hours when most places closed. That said, I would stay here again if back in Amsterdam.

I travel extensively and can not say what an exceptional experience this hotel stay was. From correspondence prior to the trip, to superb breakfast that should not be missed, all aspects are top self. Due to our sleep schedule, we passed on house keeping several days and their personable staff still brought us fresh linens and coffee each day. Each shift at the front desk was personable and offered reliable assistance. My trip was superb, not just because Amsterdam is a wonderful city, but the kindness, warmth, and friendliness made it memorable.

Lovely hotel with friendly staff. Bed very comfortable, but walls were thin so could hear other guests. Had breakfast on my last day. And by chance asked if they had gluten free bread. Two heated rolls were brought. Delicious. Also had gf muesli. Excellent breakfast. The hotel is in a nice area with trams nearby. Vondelpark is within walking distance.

Pretty old property as we should expect in Europe. Room was too small to move. Washroom and bath were not maintained. Towels were not replaced every day. Cherry on top, no water in hotel!! They asked us to drink from the bathroom sink unless 7.5 euros for a bottle!!! Windows were damaged such a way they were hard to open.

The Apollofirst Boutique hotel is definitely my favorite in Amsterdam always happy to stay and makes me feel so relaxed and good here. The staff are excellent and very friendly and helpful too. The location is perfect for me and I know how to see the city and the surrounding areas like being back home. Everything is very good and comfortable and I can’t recommend the hotel any better than this is a must visit for anyone who wants to see Amsterdam and the canals and art and culture and museums and everything that makes the city so special. I stayed for one week and was so glad to have booked at this boutique hotel. The staff were fantastic, the breakfast was superb and the location ended up being great. It was a little further from all the hustle and bustle and crowds but I very much appreciated the location because it wasn't too far from the main attractions and restaurants. I will definitely stay here again when I come back to Amsterdam.
