Cross the road to Amsterdam Central. A lot of dining options next to trams. Older but well maintained property. Very helpful, friendly staff. Room was a little small but adquate for one. Very good 24 hours coffee/tea machine in lobby/dining area. Excellent for train travellers.

I went there with my Twin sister and had a great time. Excellent hospitality service by Ali and his team. Ali helped us find places and also suggested lovely food restaurants to eat. The hotel is just opposite the train station and has amazing amenities. Would definitely recommend A Train hotel. The 24/7 free tea/coffee machine was brilliant for us tea lovers. Overall great hotel and great service. Loved it all. Thank you Ali and team for making our first experience in Amsterdam wonderful. God bless you all :) with love, the Twin sisters 🙂

The staff was awesome as was the breakfast offerings. Room was a bit “tight”/narrow for 3 people but beds were comfortable! Even the very narrow stairwells were kind of fun as they were unusual to us. This was also difficult as the lift was broken! But the staff brought our luggage up so that was awesome!

This is a nice hotel in a great location within walking distance of train station and all of central Amsterdam. It is nothing fancy but has everything you need. The rooms and bathrooms were clean. The staff were very nice. They also had a breakfast in the mornings. They can store your luggage till you need it on day of check-out. I would recommend them.

Hotel muito bem localizado, próximo a estação central, podendo fazer tudo a pé. Quarto pequeno, porém bom, com cofre e sem frigobar. Possui ar condicionado e aquecedor e um café da manhã bom. Além de ter uma máquina de café e chocolate e água 24 horas por dia.

Convenient location near transportation and restaurants. An easy 5 minute walk to the train, metro and trams (use your credit card to tap on and off). Lots of restaurants on the main road leading from the train station. Our room was average size for a budget European hotel, but very functional , we didn’t feel like we were tripping over each other. The bed was the most comfortable we had in our one month stay in Europe. We had a hair dryer, kettle, tea and instant coffee in the room, though the free coffee machine was available day and night in the breakfast room. Breakfast was a small self serve with Crossants, toast, cereal, fruit, cheese and ham slices. I wish there were eggs, but other than that it was a good breakfast. Plenty of seating. The staff were pleasant and helpful. You can store your luggage if necessary before or after check in. The only negatives were that you will hear street noise (stopped around 10 pm), and the arm chair in our room needs the armrest repaired. I would stay there again.

Lovely small hotel ,Close to dam square very central location to all the attractions. Staff were very friendly and the room was spotless. The bed was one of the most comfiest I have ever slept in. Would stay again no problem.

Albergo caratteristico centralissimo quindi molto comodo per girare la città camera e bagno minuscoli,per il riassetto sono passati alle 15 noi eravamo appena rientrati quindi non si sono fermati, colazione scarsa e pulizia dei tavoli self service. Nell'insieme non lo consiglierei

Convenient location directly across from Central Station where many trams stop. An Apple Store and large supermarket are on either side of hotel. Service from caring staff was exceptional…especially Gina in breakfast room. Hotel has a lift to upper floors. Cleanliness is very noticeable.

Hotel just across from Amsterdam Centraal Station so really convenient. Perfect for tourists to get around. Room was on the small side but to be expected for this area of the city but was still a double bed which was great. Very clean. Good water pressure for the shower and I was on the top floor. Bed very comfortable, slept very well. Decent air con. Breakfast was a bit limited but enough to set me up for the day. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend to family and friends for anyone visiting Amsterdam. Am very pleased I found and booked this hotel, excellent value.

Hotel is adorable and unique. Train/travel motif. Beautiful decorations. Rooms are small but very clean and everything you need air works well. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Very quiet. Excellent stay! Free delicious breakfast and coffee. Luggage storage and elevator !! Will definitely be back!

Affordable and convenient for city center. Train from airport easy. Do note there was construction (Dec 2024) so walking direction were something's not quite doable. Nice European breakfast with 24 hr coffee/tea station. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Older bldg but well maintained. Shower was very small with no curtain or door so water can splash everywhere.

The A-Train Hotel was a very nice hotel extremely close to the Amsterdam Central Train Station, which is the reason I booked it. The staff was very polite and friendly, though the actual room was small, but very comfortable. Shower small, but water pressure nice. Breakfast light, but nice coffee machine. Overall, if traveling thru or staying in Amsterdam for a few days on your own, A-Train Hotel is an excellent locale. Location and staff efficiency is more important than amenities.

The staff was very nice. The place was super cute. The breakfast was nice and the woman running it was super sweet. The rooms are very small with no refrigerator unless you upgrade to different room. I suggest not doing that because while the upgraded rooms do have a better view, it’s loud because of people on the streets parting and then construction starts at 6am! But hopefully construction will be gone by the time you book your room. The lady running the breakfast, let me put my lunch bag in the refrigerator so the back room was perfect for me. My friend did the upgraded room and didn’t get much sleep. Over all, I recommend this hotel.

Very nice people at the Hotel, and very helpful especially in arranging a ground floor room for my traveling companion who has mobility issues. They even agreed to take delivery of a wheelchair I had ordered for my companion (shame it didn't arrive). Would recommend.

Excellent stay. Enjoyed the breakfast, the decor, the attentiveness of the staff, and the location. Not luxurious but definitely above average. Nice, very clean room and bathroom. A/C worked well. Small room by some North American standards but larger than those in some "name brand" hotels in New York City. I hope to have an opportunity to stay at the A-Train Hotel again!
Excellent stay. Enjoyed the breakfast, the decor, the attentiveness of the staff, and the location. Not luxurious but definitely above average. Nice, very clean room and bathroom. A/C worked well. I went there with my Twin sister and had a great time. Excellent hospitality service by Ali and his team. Ali helped us find places and also suggested lovely food restaurants to eat. The hotel is just opposite the train station and has amazing amenities. Would definitely recommend A Train hotel. The 24/7 free tea/coffee machine was brilliant for us tea lovers. Overall great hotel and great service. Loved it all. Thank you Ali and team for making our first experience in Amsterdam wonderful. God bless you all :) with love, the Twin sisters 🙂

Convenient location directly across from Central Station where many trams stop. An Apple Store and large supermarket are on either side of hotel. Service from caring staff was exceptional…especially Gina in breakfast room. Hotel has a lift to upper floors. Cleanliness is very noticeable.

Top person at the desk, really care about the customer, speak different languages and very friendly. The night keeper also very nice, Only the manager who was not helpful at all, I understand I travel with a bike, but it the first time I was refused at the check-in, have to left it in public parking nearby, finally they accept to store my bike in baggage in a secure room.

The best thing about the hotel is the wonderful staff who helped us out in many ways- getting into our room early, directions, extra pillows- everything we asked for. 2nd best was the closeness to the central rail station, the metro AND the cruise pier. Piece of cake!

I can’t say enough good things about this property. We had a bit of a traveling nightmare and we were met with kindness and warmth. The owner expedited our room for early check in so we could rest while still salvaging part of the day. The location is perfect for ease of access to centraal station, while staying walkable to many other neighborhoods of interest. Despite proximity to the station, the hotel was incredibly quiet. Stay here, you won’t regret it.

Cross the road to Amsterdam Central. A lot of dining options next to trams. Older but well maintained property. Very helpful, friendly staff. Room was a little small but adquate for one. Very good 24 hours coffee/tea machine in lobby/dining area. Excellent for train travellers.

Convenient location near transportation and restaurants. An easy 5 minute walk to the train, metro and trams (use your credit card to tap on and off). Lots of restaurants on the main road leading from the train station. Our room was average size for a budget European hotel, but very functional , we didn’t feel like we were tripping over each other. The bed was the most comfortable we had in our one month stay in Europe. We had a hair dryer, kettle, tea and instant coffee in the room, though the free coffee machine was available day and night in the breakfast room. Breakfast was a small self serve with Crossants, toast, cereal, fruit, cheese and ham slices. I wish there were eggs, but other than that it was a good breakfast. Plenty of seating. The staff were pleasant and helpful. You can store your luggage if necessary before or after check in. The only negatives were that you will hear street noise (stopped around 10 pm), and the arm chair in our room needs the armrest repaired. I would stay there again.

No fault of the hotel but it was noisy and i felt unsafe because of major road construction. Taxis, etc. could not get to hotel so let off and picked on the side street at the corner. Had it not been for the construction i would have easiky given it a much higher rating

Great little hotel steps away from Central Station. Easy to take the Train to and from the Airport for 6 Euros. All of my tours and excursions started close to the Central Station. There is a mid-size supermarket 2 doors down, and numerous resturants very close by. The hotel location, is walkable to everything. Rooms are small and basic, but clean and comfortable. Coffee, hot tea available 24 hours. Breakfast from 7am to 9:30am, was plentiful, and above average for price range. Breakfast included cold cuts, cheeses, cereal, milk, boiled eggs, different fruits, breads, jelly, peanut butter, juice, tea and coffee. Breakfast was very good. Front desk staff so nice. Great location so handy to everything. Staff friendly breakfast included real plus sets you up for the day. Rooms clean tidy everything you needed. Also free tea and coffee all day nice we touch when you come back in to recharge the batteries to head out again.

Very comfortable room, pleasant staff, great location just 5 minutes walk from the trains and trams at Amsterdam Centraal. Breakfast was pretty basic but did the job (and was included in the price).

Hotel is adorable and unique. Train/travel motif. Beautiful decorations. Rooms are small but very clean and everything you need air works well. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Very quiet. Excellent stay! Free delicious breakfast and coffee. Luggage storage and elevator !! Will definitely be back!

Albergo caratteristico centralissimo quindi molto comodo per girare la città camera e bagno minuscoli,per il riassetto sono passati alle 15 noi eravamo appena rientrati quindi non si sono fermati, colazione scarsa e pulizia dei tavoli self service. Nell'insieme non lo consiglierei

The hotel is perfectly located in the heart of Amsterdam, close to the central station. Easy walk to the Anne Frank house, restaurants, and sights. The train theme through the main lobby was fun, with lots of train memorabilia. Our room was clean and quiet. Our room was on two floors with a narrow stair between them. That was fine for us, but someone who was very mobility challenged would have issues. I suspect that our room was one of the only ones with this so other rooms would not be an issue. The staff was uniformly friendly and very helpful.

The rooms are basic but have most essentials, including efficient air con and a safe. The hairdryer is quite a dated design and not much good for a high maintenance bob! The breakfast was good and included a selection of breads, pastries, cold meats and cereal. You can access the hot drinks machine at any time during your stay (there is no kettle/coffee machine in the room) We had quite a bit of noise on our second evening from another room. Not the hotels fault but worth taking ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. Overall we had a great stay and good value for money for central Amsterdam.

Eg reiste aleine, og fekk eit søtt lite rom. Det var varmt i Amsterdam denne mai-dagen så AC var gull. Hotellet er litt slite og luktar pittelitt gammalt. MEN det var perfekt plassering sidan eg kom med tog, og flott plassert for å rusle rundt i sentrum. Enkel frukost var eit godt utgangspunkt for å utforske byen. Dei som jobba der var verkeleg venlege og greie. Dei hjalp med tips og triks i byen.
