Athens Odeon Hotel

Hotellet är inte ett lyx hotell. Bilderna är lite missvisande som de flesta hotellbilder. Dock så är det bra nära till tunnelbana, gratis parkering, frukosten är inte speciellt bra, så den kan man hoppa över. Rummen är basic så förväntar man sig inte mer kommer man vara helt nöjd. Vare sig bra eller dåligt utan ett medelhotell får en eller några nätter.

This was the absolute worst hotel I’ve ever stepped foot in! The area is so unsafe in the middle of the day you can see people doing drugs and selling drugs. There’s people sleeping in their own feces near the hotel so-called parking is street parking and park at your own risk. I felt so unsafe in this area that I did not stay here. Do not stay here do not go anywhere near this area

The Hotel needs maintenance. 5 people got stuck in the elevator during 10 minutes. The elevator didnt have a phone to communicate with the exterior. After the 10 minutes they were able to solve the problem. But nobody even apologyzed. Internet is really bad. Decent connection just at the lobby. Shower is tiny, almost no space to take a shower. Area is ugly. Needs 15mins walking to get to the better and more touristic places.

Reception is open 24 hours, which is great and the hotel has a small bar. Our room was at the front of the hotel and there was some early morning traffic noise.

It's a modest hotel but the staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms have the normal basic amenities, even a small fridge. My room on the second floor was quiet but my friend on the first floor reported galloping teenagers all night. It's good value for money, so probably the younger people are drawn to it. It's a half mile walk from a Red Line metro station. There is a bar and a restaurant, but we did not have a chance to experience them. We had to leave at 4 am and the guy on duty made coffee for us without being asked.

Perfect hospitality, everyday cleaning, housekeeping, smiling. Good breakfast. Greek neighborhood like Turkish. Thank you for everything.

Odeon was great. Very clean. Very helpful staff! Area around it felt sketchy but it was safe. We had no problems at all.

The staff were very helpful, the breakfast was simple but tasty, and the hotel spotlessly clean. I rated the room 3 stars for its small size and basic (albeit sufficient) amenities, but the shower was very small with one of those curtains that likes to hug you - my pet hate :-D. The service was excellent. The location is good in terms of being close to shops, metro and walking distance of attractions. But not for the faint hearted - some of the streets are very run down so may make you nervous, however I didn't feel unsafe at any point and there are some cracking restaurants in easy walking distance. If you want a budget, clean place to stay and you don't intend to spend a lot of time in the room, then I would recommend this.

This hotel is by far the worst I have ever stayed at. To start off the staff member at the front desk is rude. The rooms are not what are in the photos, they are clearly enhanced with effects, photo shop and accessories. THE PICTURES DO NOT REPRESENT THE HOTEL. the outside of the hotel has barb wire, graffiti and torn down abandoned homes. When we came to our room there were flies everywhere, including dead flies in the bathroom. Then the shower curtain is brown, the bed sheets have short curly hair (a man’s hair), the bed is incredibly uncomfortable. To go downstairs and take the stairs the lights don’t turn on right away so it’s a bit scary. Not to mention the screaming and thin walls. We can hear every time someone in the hall opens a door, children and adults screaming. When we addressed these concerns with the women at the front desk she began to raise her voice and yell at me - which we have video footage of. She confirmed everyone makes these complaints, yet the hotel doesn’t seem to care. She said no one would be cleaning the room since they have no maid service and we have to wait to talk to someone tomorrow - therefore sleep in a dirty room. She confirmed the hair on the bed via photo and that it couldn’t be ours, I asked how it was acceptable for us to sleep in a dirty room and her answer was “well I didn’t clean the room” she is still the representative for the hotel and the only person working therefore, it’s her responsibility. The manager is even worst!STAYAWAY

Hotel is already a little bit older but stuff is trying to make it upnto the date how they can… if we look overall picture about Athens and her cleanliness Hotel was good. They clean the room everyday, it’s a little bit smelly because they dont have ventilation in the bathroom. Walls are dirty, and bathroom is old, you will not get a shampoo just a shower gel. My biggest no was slow internet in the room because I needed it for work. Overall, service is trying doing their best, and you will get ok service for that money… if you plan just to sleep and eat hotel is good. City center is close, just the area is a little bit tricky. But in 6 min. you can be in a very cool small streets with a lot of restaurants and coffee bars! Nice!

Once we got used to it, we were fine but there were marks on the sheets, the air conditioning didn’t work, and you needed to leave the key with the desk so it wouldn’t get stollen.

The air conditioning in the room did not work making it quite warm and stuffy at night. Buffet style breakfast was limited and not very appetising.

The hotel desperately needs updating. The ac didn’t work, nor did the room mini fridge. Which are both advertised as amenities. When I asked about getting a working fridge they said they would look into it. Never did. Then said we could give whatever we needed kept cool to them and the would store it somewhere??

The Athens Odeon hotel rooms were extremely small. The hotel is very old and not in the best neighbourhood. It was priced accordingly. The upside was the hotel was walking distance to everything. The staff were very friendly, the bed was comfortable and the complimentary breakfast was good.

Property was fine and room was decent. Breakfast was nice and staff was excellent. Only complaint was that the shower was tiny and splashed all over with no way to adjust the position of the shower head. Bathroom got soaked unless you used the shower as a handheld wand.

Centrally located and close to Omonia Square with red/green train line and eateries/bakeries. Close to outdoor restaurants area (ask staff for directions). Not fancy but clean hotel with very nice English speaking, full time staff at the front desk. Breakfast included with a good selection of food. Located on a main street. Room price are very reasonable. While the surrounding buildings are somewhat run down, the neighborhood is safe. If we were to return to Athens, and wanted to stay in the same area, we would not hesitate to stay at the Odeon Hotel.

I liked the lady in reception, who accepted my weird humor and was so so friendly to explain everything I needed to know. Just a perfect employee! Breakfast was the same all day, but enjoyable. Some troubles with AC, but they explained it quite well, as there was 42 degrees outside.

De ligging is goed, op loopafstand van vele bezienswaardigheden en dmetrohalte. Hotel gedateerd. Te kleine doechebak met gordijnen, mag wel gerenoveerdvworden. Perseneel aardig.

The staff was very nice and helpful. They were spot on to answer any questions or help. The location is convenient for walking to the Plaka district and the Acropolis.

Clean basic hotel central ish location Poor breakfast

Esse hotel fica próximo ao metrô, equipe atenciosa, ficaram com as nossas malas guardadas para que pudéssemos viajar pelas ilhas. Café da manhã muito bom. Limpo, organizado. Localização boa. Não tem luxo, mas tem uma cama confortável e limpa. A única coisa que não gostamos foi o chuveiro. O resto foi muito bom . Preço bom também.

Good accommodation for a city break, breakfast very basic! But great location for transport!

O cafe e limitado, nao tem frutas e poucas opcoes. O banheiro é muito pequeno e o box e pessimo ocasionando cair muita agua para fora do box. O atendimento na recepção é ótimo mas os funcionarios do café deixam a desejar. Cama desconfortável
