Bad parking breakfast not so good nice lobby

Just stayed 3 days for our sons basic graduation. I loved everything about this motel. From the comfortable clean rooms to the pool which was a blessing in the south carolina heat to the giant connect 4, chess and cornhole. Hotel staff was very friendly as well. If i am ever out tbat way again will definitely chose to stay there again

The property entrance is clean, lobby is presentable. My stay was sort of unpleasant, summertime no acess to the pool during my stay. The bathroom had mold on the ceiling and tiles. The microwave did not work and was not repaired or given a working one. I paid full price but did not receive the full service.

A couple of the lights did not work. The shower head only went to my neck. So I had to bend down to wash my hair. The sink faucet was very loose and about to fall off. The handrail in the elevator fell off and I almost fell. The outside area was awesome although the pool was empty due to it being October. The entire staff was very nice and friendly and they all said congratulations to my daughter who just graduated at boot camp. With a few things being fixed this would be a great hotel

The main reason for booking this hotel was that their website shows a restaurant and bar. They even gave a voucher for a free appetizer at check in. Guess what...... no restaurant or bar. The room 101 was spacious but not very clean. The coffee maker had an old capsule left in it. The kitchen faucet needed tightening down. Will definitely not return

The outdoor area was nice with the giant games

PROS: Great accommodations and location; Less than 1 minute to SC Hwy 20; Spacious; Excellent Staff, Elevators, Quiet even when full, Available computers, Comfortable Pool and lounge area. CONS: Average Breakfast but extremely clean, so clean the staff stepped in from of waiting to continuously ensue the slight spill was attended to. Only one major discouragement: THE COFFEE POT IN OUR ROOM HAS POWER BUT IT WAS BROKEN AND WOULD NOT RELEASE WATER THROUGH THE SYSTEM TO MAKE COFFEE IN THE ROOM

Close to Ft Jackson and easy access to many other areas we wanted to see. The staff was amazing. Very friendly and helpful. The beds were also amazing. Very comfortable. The parking area was difficult when full though. Overall, we would definitely stay there again.

Advertised with Bar on Property. Not true. Bar not open yet. This is a renovated old hotel. Pictures of bathroom area on website are not as advertised. It is old; rust on curtain rod, handrail, etc. Bathtub has been reglazed poorly. Also, when entering the lobby from outside you will notice a very strong scent, overpowering and not normal. I wondered if it was to cover up another smell. I will say the staff were very kind. Not a terrible place, but website is misleading.

This is an old hotel that had doors open to the outside. The room was unclean and numerous things were a problem. This included running toilet, dead phone, fire alarm constantly going off, tv in bedroom not hooked up, kitchen tap not attached, mold, tub so dirty couldn’t use it. Staff said he’d be there in 5 minutes to fix the problems but never showed. Place was so dirty we didn’t take off our shoes nor could we use the shower. Kitchenette woefully under supplied. Will never stay at this brand hotel again, and I travel a lot.

Not worth the money. The first room we stayed in had bugs. We were moved to another room the following day and an exterminator sprayed the room. We still had 2 big roaches in the new room during our stay. They boast that the rooms were newly renovated but only the bathrooms and kitchenette area were touched. The floors where they meet the windows were gross. Paint scuffs and poor lighting too.The floors in the hotel, in general, look like they only get cleaned every few days. The employees were very nice though. And they do charge $100 deposit per stay so if you extend your trip by a day then its another $100. Will not stay here again.

Rooms was not as shown on your site, both rooms was very tired and dirty with stains on the carpet, furniture and signs of poo on the wall. The second room wasnt even ready with what looked like a 1ft blood stain on the carpet

First room wasn't clean. stuff hanging off the wall. spider webs with bugs in them. ironing board just leaning on wall.

The lobby and exterior are nice. The room was terrible. Literal holes in the wall in the bathroom. Mold/mildew in the shower. Dust caked onto vents. I don’t think the room has ever been cleaned!!

Lobby looks fantastic. Great coffee option. Rooms need updating. Look dirty. Wasn’t vacuumed before our stay. Someone was smoking on our floor. Rooms had an odor beyond the cigarette smoke in a non smoking hotel.

We stayed here for a fort Jackson Graduation. We got checked in and they were nice. We went into our room and it was very dirty. There was dirt and hair in the tub. The toilet was dirty. The floor had not been mopped or vacuumed. There were other peoples hair on the bathroom counter and in the beds. They also had some kind of bugs in the bathroom. We went to the front desk to let them know and they said if we left for a little bit they would have someone come lean it. They also said the room was not supposed to be rented until checked. We said okay that’s great we’ll go do some shopping. We waited an hour then came back and they had not cleaned the room at all. The beds we not comfortable at all. I don’t recommend staying here unless you want to sleep in someone’s else’s dirt or clean the room yourself.

Our stay at this hotel was utterly unacceptable and a complete waste of time and money. The housekeeping department failed to clean our room even once during our entire stay. Despite our repeated requests for refills of the empty shampoo, conditioner, and body wash bottles, the only action taken was to move us to another room due to a clogged shower that emitted a foul odor. Even after this relocation, we were still left without soap and shampoo refills. The room was filthy, and the bathroom door was covered in questionable stains and dried-up fluid. While I don’t have exceptionally high standards, this level of neglect is intolerable. I paid for a stay in a place that was FALSELY advertised on your website. This hotel should uphold the standards it claims to offer

Property and room was absolutely disgusting. I didn't even want to stay the last night because someone came in the room to "clean" and spit a dip pouch on the wall. Hair all over the bathroom. AC blew black stuff out every time it turned on. Carpet stains in the room and the hallway. The room smelled like urine. Staff wasn't mean. I told the lady about how gross the room was and she said she'd tell management.

The room was okay . Could use a bit more cleaning. Also seen a roach or bug in the room and that just spoiled it for me . Reasonable price and in a great location .

This is a Wyndham by name only. Hawthorne extended stay is the star of this show. All rooms have doors leading to the outside. More motel

Room was loud from other guest. I was awakened at 530 am from a crying baby and people walking in the hallway.

The rooms above the lobby are way too noisy and makes it difficult to sleep. I have been in jails that were quiter then this hotel.

The initial shock came upon checking in when we realized that it was an extended stay. Once we got to our “presidential suite” we noticed that the the room was a bit lacking in space and functionality and had an odd smell. As we began using the areas of the room we noticed hair and dirt everywhere that should certainly be cleaned like the bathroom, the sink area and the space by the pullout mattress. It's like they just rinse and go. We literally had to purchase cleaning supplies and air freshener because it smelt like urine in the hallway and whatever smell was in the room. We sprayed the shower, sink, tub and part of the floor with bleach spray and scrubbing bubbles. The towel can be seen in one photo (only a small portion of the floor was cleaned). Then it was time for bed, the sound was so loud from the hall and the outside that my son literally wouldn't stop crying. This was by far the worst experience ever.

The room was in great shape. The AC was ice cold. Could use better pillows.

Large 2 room suite was spacious. Stocked kitchenette was adequate for cooking a small meal.

It was dirty everywhere but the lobby. Outdated. No free wifi.

We stayed one night. Friendly staff, clean room. Only thing is, you can hear all the other rooms and people in the main area during the night.

The hotel room itself was located outside of the lobby area, in an area where cornhole and the pool was. People were playing cornhole at 06 in the morning. The room was old school, cramped. The breakfast was awful, cold, and dirty tables. I do not believe this hotel will be a first choice in the future.

Every staff member, from the property manager and front desk team to the housekeeping staff, was absolutely friendly and accommodating to our every request. They genuinely appeared to enjoy taking care of the guests and working collectively for a positive experience.

Rude customer service. Told me that there was no available parking spots in the back close to our room which made an 87 year-old walk all through the hotel upstairs. Once we got to our room, we saw that they had parking in the back. Going back to when we got there the lady at the front desk was bothered by us checking in

I had to wait at registration for 15 minutes for staff to arrive and check me in. When she came, she sundered up with not a care or concern that I had been waiting. Then instructed me to switch locations at the registration desk. the first location did not satisfy her so, she then tap, tap, tap at another location as if was supposed to read her mind.

Absolutely love this hotel. The amenities may not be the best but the hospitality is. The staff really treat you with importance and value you. I felt like a priority and was treated as such. Danny and Sean were super helpful and the hospitality of all the staff was 10/10!!

I drove 4 hours thinking i was going to check in and relax just to get there and they tell me they dont accept chime as a payment. Talk about somebody was aggravated immediately 😒

Checking in at this hotel is the longest experience you will ever have checking in. This wasn't an isolated incident as I had to check in several different times. Not uncommon to see a line going back to the entrance doors in the afternooons.

Elevators are very old and slow. Front desk has the longest check-in procedure I've ever seen....always a long line I Prechecked in on this last visit and they made me do the entire thing over again at the deak....you can't win.

Upon arrival, I encountered an issue with my reservation dates. Although a room wwas subsequently provided, I found it to be unmade with toiletries left on the bathroom counter. I promptly requested a different room. The second room initially appeared satisfactory; however, upon closer inspection, I discovered mold growth in the air conditioner duct. Furthermore, the bathroom door would not close properly as it scraped against the floor. During my attempt to shower, the spigot was remarkably loose and could be pulled from the wall. While the water was hot, the shower head was unadjustable. Later, as I prepared for bed, I noted that despite being in a king-size room, only three pillows were provided, and these were smaller than standard size, resembling decorative pillows. The mattress itself was exceptionally firm, feeling as though I was sleeping directly on springs, which exacerbated a pre-existing back condition, resulting in a restless night. The following morning, after retrieving breakfast, I proceeded to check out. Unfortunately, no staff members were present at the counter for approximately five to ten minutes, preventing me from discussing these issues. There was no bell or other mechanism to summon assistance, only a sign stating "We'll be back." To my further dismay, I discovered this morning that my account has been charged $217 for the room, when the agreed-upon rate was $117. Upon my arrival at the hotel, I was informed of a $100 service charge for potential

I booked a room for a night just a few days before I was supposed to be in town. I went to check into my room late in the evening, walked in stood at the check out desk for probably 15-20 minutes, after calling multiple times. No answer! A staff member was dead asleep on the couch in the lobby. After multiple calls & shouts he finally woke up. The worker finally came to try a check us into our room. After driving several hours, my “room” that had fully been paid for & having confirmation numbers for, happened to be given away to someone else. & the hotel was “full”. So here I am at midnight losing money on a room that I had already fully paid for not being available for me & my family to stay at. Honestly pretty shiity experience telling my family we have no place to sleep that night because they failed to have a room that we already reserved was “given away” & the worker being absolutely un helpful, should have just let him get his nap in!

I went to SC for my brothers Army graduation, location was perfect only 7 mins away from Gate 4. Breakfast was ok for free breakfast. They had a few different types of bagels and muffins. They did have other options like make your own waffle and some eggs and sausage and oatmeal . I booked two double queens size rooms, one of the rooms did smell a little funky but I’m assuming it was the rug because the rooms were clean . The beds were comfy. Overall I can’t complain . It was walking distance to a lot of restaurants too. I would stay again if I needed too.

Property was a great place for all the family members of the Soldiers getting Graduated from Basic Training and was a mere 10 minutes drive to Fort Jackson. They even had print outs to Fort Jackson turn by turn navigation. I would love to recommend this place for all the new families of Soldiers graduating

Plenty of areas to relax/work. Tea coffee available all the time. Nice lobby and outdoor space. Close to the FortJackson base.

Needed a place to spend the night after attending USC football game. This hotel was reasonably priced and close to the property.

I had a peaceful / restful stay at the Wyndham Garden even though there were people knocking on every door at about 2am. Breakfast was ok, the coffee wasn't good it tasted old. Maybe the receptacle it was brewed in hadn't been cleaned in a while otherwise everything else was ok. Thanks!

This is an older property that has recently been re-done well. The breakfast was very good bed comfortable, water hot with good pressure in the shower. Nice stay.

The room was ok. We had a suite, dishes had so much dust on them, we would've had to wash all of them before use. TV remotes did not work for either TV and desk clerk would not come to check out the issue. Elevators smelled like kerosene, it was disgusting. Continental breakfast was a joke. Only had one person to keep up with refilling items and coffee. Had to ask at least 5 times, each by other patrons to get a new urn of coffee.

Staff was warm, welcoming and very accommodating. The lobby was beautiful and plenty of sitting area if you wanted to relax There is also coffee with a variety of creamers that was offered every day in addition to water. The breakfast variety was very good and was different daily with the exception of bagels, toast, waffles, muffins, oatmeal and cereal which was offered daily. The coffee was very good too! The area was always kept clean and staff was always ready to replenish as food ran out. The outside set up was beautiful as well with some outdoor games set up such as beanbag toss, life size chess board with pieces and life size tic tac toe board, with plenty of seating area. The pool area was nice but was a little dirty with some bugs floating around in the pool, other wise it was nice to have the option to swim and soak up some sun. the front desk staff was very unfriendly. no greetings, no eye contact, only answered questions with very breif answers. the room did not have a place in the bathroom to sit any toiletries. the breakfast was HORRIBLE. the 2% milk was sour. the eggs had hair in them. the staff person would not refill the waffle mix as it was out. overall a very NEGATIVE experiece!!!!!

The hotel is beautiful from the outside and the lobby- the staff were very courteous, BUT the rooms were horrible - the first room we had looked fine until we looked up - the ceiling was black with what we can only assume was mold - so we asked for a different room, below is the photo from the 2nd room again with mold on the ceiling on a different floor.We switched to a third room which was on the same floor a few doors down...not much better that room was cold but was very damp. We thought it would get better with the a/c on however we basically slept in a cold damp room. Oh and on top of that the toilet was running all night! Literally if it wasn't the A/C (very loud) it was the constantly running toilet all night.. we did not sleep well but the family was too tired and too scared to see what the next room would have so we stayed there. Breakfast is included served 6am-9am we thought we had a shot at that -we walked in at 7:45am to find a lot of other unhappy guests who were waiting for food - no eggs, no bacon, no pancake mix for the waffle machine (which had an alarm going off) no coffee?! and we couldn't find the person who was supposed to be working the kitchen?- by the way the coffee machine in the lobby was also out of order the entire time we were there. So sad to see a Wyndham Garden hotel like this - sadly the staff were nice but not very concerned about the complaints...won't be going back to this hotel again.
