This is a great relaxing place to stay. A little bit older but its in a great location across the road from Legian beach and in the middle of everything. Breakfast is delicious every day ,the 3 pools are beautiful and refreshing, the lawns and gardens are beautifully maintained. The rooms are a little bit older but still comfortable and clean. Only downside for me is the pool bar closes at 6pm regardless of how many guests are in the pool swimming and or drinking at 6pm they dump many litres of chlorine in ,so if you are out and about through the day and want to relax with a drink from the pool bar at 6.15 forget it. I do believe the pool does open again about an hour after the chlorine dump but not the pool bar. Also i believe you can get a drink from a near by bar and have in the pool but would love to see the pool bar open till 9 or 10pm after all we are on holidays and having a great time. This is my only negative and will be back again next year

Best location and beach access. Staff are fantastic and the resort has all amenities to make family holiday wonderful. The resort is older but clean and comfortable. 3 pools and baby/toddler splash area great for young families. Stayed here 3 times and will definitely be back. The hotel bathrooms looking a bit worn and could do with a makeover. Staff were great, would recommend for young families as they have a toddlers pool and for young groups of friends as well. Good vibe around the pool with music playing. We've stayed here many times and the issue with the tiles around the pool area been slippery is still ongoing. Number of people slipping was a concern and my husband on this trip actually slipped and required stitches to his elbow from the cut.

We loved our stay second stay at The Jayakarta Resort The grounds were lovely with that tropical Bali style and the 3 pools were well maintained with plenty of sun chairs and poolside service Breakfast was adequate with poolside or beachside restaurants Plenty of dining in options within the hotel but also within walking distance outside either front or beach exits Staff were very friendly. We will definitely be staying here again

If you are on a budget and don’t spend a lot of time at the hotel then it’s great. The rooms are very run down and really need some upgrades. There is no shade around the pool area during the heat of the day and the tiling around the wet areas makes for an accident waiting to happen. We had multiple near misses.

Location was fabulous. Breakfast was fantastic. Ordering food was expensive. Cocktails were expensive. Staff were wonderful. Room was very dated, no hot water for the first 3 days. Hot was system was leaking and had a constant drip (located in bathroom in a bordered up area). They kept saying it will be 'ok'. Was told to run bathroom sink on cold then hot to get it to work (this eventually worked on day 3). Smell of mold in the room was terrible, worse in bathroom where they made superficial repairs. Mattress were old (had single beds in room) Gap above balcony door meant mosquitoes came into the room - worse in bathroom. Cleaning daily was not the best, did not wipe benches. Overall the location, pools and staff were amazing.

Location is central gardens are well kept staff are friendly rooms sre clean but in need of some work the bathrooms are very old and in need of urgent renovations bath and sink were stained and rusted tiles and doors were water damaged with timber doors rotting there was a strong musy moldy smell when you walked in rooms when reported to front desk reply was not possible as rooms were in comstant use

We enjoyed out 7 nights at Jayakarta. Apart from our room being a little outdated and needing a good refurb it was clean and comfortable. Serviced daily including fresh bottles of water. The staff were always friendly and helpful. The grounds a beautifully maintained and the pools were fabulous. The beach was only across the road where we found many, many beach bars, cafes and warungs.

We woke up at 1am to find our room flooded with toilet water (2cm deep). The toilet was overflowing and everything on the floor was soaked in dirty water. We were forced to pack up to move rooms in the middle of the night. This incident occurred after our toilet got blocked 5 times over the course of a week yet the hotel still claimed it was out of their control. The staff are friendly enough until there’s a problem and then they deny all responsibility. Very disappointing.

Hotel rooms were clean - perhaps not “western” clean. Lots of ants. Booking here very much for the location. I stayed in a one bedroom apartment and there was loud live music every night until midnight so never got much sleep before then. Staff were friendly. Beautiful resort with amazing tropical gardens and pool facilities. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the food was lovely. Unfortunately the rooms are a bit aged and have a mold smell. Overall, a wonderful experience.

I really love this place, the staff can’t do enough for you. The only thing I would say is the rooms need updating, this is my 3rd stay over a ten year span and the decor and the rooms I feel need a bit of an upgrade, other than that it’s a beautiful well kept resort in a great position.

Room and facilities felt neglected. The room had a damp mouldy smell coming from the air conditioning. We had an interconnecting room and the same thing happened from our other room. The damp smell was that bad that we opted not to use our air conditioning which isn’t very practical in the Bali heat. We reported it to reception where a maintenance man said he would come and take a look and clean the filters but the smell didn’t go away. There was an awful smell coming from the drains in the bathroom and also our son left a white t-shirt in the room one morning when we went to the buffet breakfast. He had Bali belly so we had requested that his room be turned over with fresh sheets. When we returned to the room, His brand new white tshirt with blue writing all over it had disappeared and when we contacting the cleaning department they said they would look for but nothing got followed up. We assumed it was collected amongst the bedding however the brand name shirt was never found. My partner had previously stayed at this hotel multiple times and said that the standard had severely deteriorated at this hotel. Great location and staff were friendly but sadly the facilities are dated, old and tired and felt very unhygienic

The apartment that we were allocated was attrocious, with a faulty toilet, bar noise until late at night and no cooking facilities. We chose to move to another room which was better but not perfect.

The facilities are good, the breakfast has enough options and the location is great. The rooms are small, dated and mine was mouldy, I wouldn’t stay again because of the rooms. We were with a large group all were very similar at the same standard.

The grounds of the resort and common amenities are lovely and the staff extremely friendly, polite and willing to assist in any way. The resort is situated opposite the beach, close to shops, services and restaurants making it a very convenient location. Unfortunately the room we stayed was in dire need of a refurbish and was extremely noisy being opposite venue that played music until midnight 7 nights a week.

This hotel is a little dated and old. It was fully booked when I was there and there were people all over the place. Access to the swimming pools was near impossible with people putting towels on chairs before breakfast, it was just over crowded around the restaurant and pool area. Another disappointment was that it is not truly a beachfront property. With two big walls and a road in between. When you go down to the beach it is full of traders with beach umbrellas and chairs. Rooms are old, the showers had no water pressure. Personally I will not be staying again. Bali Gardens beach resort is much better for similar price.

Beautiful resort with amazing tropical gardens and pool facilities. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the food was lovely. Unfortunately the rooms are a bit aged and have a mold smell. Overall, a wonderful experience.

They offered an upgrade for an extra $10 per night to a pool view room. This room was extremely run down, the door to the verandah didn’t close properly & it was extremely noisy during the day and night. Avoid these pool view rooms if you wish to have a quiet night.

When we arrived at the Jayakarta they hadnt met the room requirements that we were assured would occur. We did end up in a different room upon 2 requests but the hotel was smelly. The front desk service was pretty poor too.

It seems when you book & pay for a room at the Jayakarta they don't actually allocate one to you! We arrived & were told our room had been given away so they put us in the apartment block which was the dirtiest room we've ever stayed in. The bathroom was flooded & a man was coming in with a plunger to "fix" it so back to reception we go. We had to line up as there were other guests complaining that they were promised the correct room also on their day 2 & were now on day 3 of their holiday. We finally were given a decent room on the afternoon of day 2 after a lot of persistence. Every day as we walked through reception (we were there for 10 days) it was the same fight from guests not happy about being placed in rooms they had not paid for. I'm unsure how this property is allowed to take your booking & money & continue to wreck your first few days unnecessarily.

The hotel staff were great… the management not so much.. they were horrible. I paid for my father in law to stay over two weeks. I gave the hotel my CC, my phone number and my email. I pre paid the entire stay. I arranged for him to be able to sign at the restaurant and bar. The last day he was there was New Year’s Eve, at triple the price, he ordered a margarita, while he was relaxing with his drink, hotel manager came up to him and told him that he needed to finish his drink and leave because he had no money. He spent the rest of New Year’s eve in his room without food or drink. Imagine refusing to give a 84 year old man who uses a walker to get around the hotel, any food or drink for the entire day. Especially having per paid his room for the entire stay. I checked him out the next day.

It's a nice but typical Bali resort. It's not far from the airport, 30mins. A lot shopping a dining options within walking distance and the beach is just behind the resort, which was great. Liked the landscaping, lush green and well maintained. Breakfast was great and had a lot of options. Lunch and dinner options were there but it was average tasting, nothing stood out. We ate there mainly for of convenience. Overall the resort is aging and needs a bit of renovation, but it's clean and the green gounds compensate for that. Staff was friendly and service was prompt. One incident that left a bad taste was when my son forgot his room key at the restaurant breakfast table in the resort. I returned went to to ask for it at the restaurant and nobody had a clue, they did not have any lost and found protocol. The front desk person was rude and started berating for forgetting it and said they will charge $5 for a replacement key. That's kinda a wierd. But someone form the restaurant staff found the key somewhere and returned it to me. So don't lose stuff there. But overall I would recommend the resort, rooms were adequate and the prices were affordable.

This is a great relaxing place to stay. A little bit older but its in a great location across the road from Legian beach and in the middle of everything. Breakfast is delicious every day ,the 3 pools are beautiful and refreshing, the lawns and gardens are beautifully maintained. The rooms are a little bit older but still comfortable and clean. Only downside for me is the pool bar closes at 6pm regardless of how many guests are in the pool swimming and or drinking at 6pm they dump many litres of chlorine in ,so if you are out and about through the day and want to relax with a drink from the pool bar at 6.15 forget it. I do believe the pool does open again about an hour after the chlorine dump but not the pool bar. Also i believe you can get a drink from a near by bar and have in the pool but would love to see the pool bar open till 9 or 10pm after all we are on holidays and having a great time. This is my only negative and will be back again next year

We enjoyed out 7 nights at Jayakarta. Apart from our room being a little outdated and needing a good refurb it was clean and comfortable. Serviced daily including fresh bottles of water. The staff were always friendly and helpful. The grounds a beautifully maintained and the pools were fabulous. The beach was only across the road where we found many, many beach bars, cafes and warungs.

The breakfast was ok but was repetitive and lacked variety. The service around the pool was quite poor and the beers from the bar were tepid at best. Access to beach was great and pool facilities were great. I would try other places before coming back here.

Hotel rooms were clean - perhaps not “western” clean. Lots of ants. Booking here very much for the location. I stayed in a one bedroom apartment and there was loud live music every night until midnight so never got much sleep before then. Staff were friendly. Reception staff and towel staff could be a little friendlier. The breakfast options need to be changed up every day. Only cornflakes or Milo cereal every day for 10 days, need a healthier option. The Bain Marie options were very average,need revamping-wedges and sausages for breakfast most days plus a rice and noodle dish. Even baked beans option would give more variety. Nice traditional hotel, fair priced, we got the interconnecting family rooms which was far away from the main hotel, but it wasn’t too far, would have loved to have stayed closed to the pool and restaurant. Not a bad hotel in a reasonable location. A fairly standard 4 star hotel, nothing flash but certainly can cater the needs of a good Bali holiday if on a fairly tight budget. Not a bad hotel in a reasonable location. A fairly standard 4 star hotel, nothing flash but certainly can cater the needs of a good Bali holiday if on a fairly tight budget. We loved our stay at The Jayakarta! It was in a great location, a stroll to the beach for sunsets and easy walk to restaurants and shops. The different pools were great and our interconnecting rooms were perfect for our families needs. Breakfast was great and it was wonderful having the restaurant there to eat at anytime. My only disappointment was the lack of places to fill up my water bottle. Some free to use water coolers around would have made it perfect 👌

Large hotel with a great buffet breakfast .There are 3 nice pools with plenty going on during the day but not overly crowded . Location is excellent with heaps of great well priced restaurants and good shopping very close by . The beach across the road is excellent , quiet and relaxing with few people around in the mornings getting quite busy later in the afternoon / early evening . I found the beach vendors to be a lot less pushy than those around Kuta Beach . This made for a much more enjoyable relaxing time not having to constantly fend them off
