What an amazing and beautiful hotel and property. Service and friendliness from staff was outstanding. Breakfast each morning was amazing, supper fresh and lots of variety for the whole family. Kids club offered free activities throughout the day for all ages which was a great added benefit of our stay. One of the best resort stays I’ve experienced.

This place was gorgeous and serene the breakfast was delicious the chef Mr Bayu kept the delicious food coming. You have to try the potatoes. The staff was amazing the spa is a must try and Agus was very helpful. All around great experience.

It’s an older property, which we weren’t expecting. The highlight was the lagoon pool that our suite opened on to. The beach was lovely as well. The kids club also had a lot of activities. Vegetarian food options were very limited although what was available was delicious. Service was inconsistent. Nevertheless, we enjoyed our stay!

Food was excellent but expensivd. Best to get an all inclusive deal..well worth it. Drinks all included and all meals..eat as much as you want and drink. Staff are awesome very friendly. Got a deal.that included excursion to Sanur and Ulawatu temple. Missed sunset due to traffic. Pool is very tepid but not very deep. Viilage 15 min walk for cheaoer shopping than Bali connection which is close by. Loved our stay.

The grounds are beautiful and the kids club is excellent, best we’ve ever seen. We stayed in a family suite and it was nice. The rooms are getting a bit dated now, particularly the bathrooms. Myself and my son both got sick from meals we had in the hotel. The staff were lovely. Slower service in the restaurants but around the pool very quick. Would recommend to families.

Overall quite a good stay. But visiting as a couple it felt a bit busy/messy with all the kids in the pool and area surrounding it. Food and band-aid floating around in the pool. The pool also closed at 7pm which I think is quite early. There was another pool area, ‘Level’ which was a VIP-area with less kids/no kids where you had to pay an additional fee to access. Also, the spa treatments such as ‘60min traditional Balinese massage’ are in my opinion quite a lot more expensive compared to other places at Bali. 1,000,000 IDR instead of 130,000-350,000 which are the prices outside the resort for 60 min. However, we are more for boutique hotels - so maybe this concept (big resort with all-inclusive option) is just not for us. On the plus side: nice with tennis, gym and other activities. The restaurants were pretty good and the breakfast buffet was huge. The restaurant by the beach was very nice during the evening.

La struttura è gradevole ed enorme. Molto molto caotico l’ambiente, difficoltá a trovare i lettini per sdraiarsi, non accettabile per un 5 stelle… camere molto umide, ma fortunatamente ci hanno dato un condizionatore aggiuntivo per cercare di risolvere il problema. Non lo consiglio

The hotel is in beautiful well-kept grounds. The staff are very helpful. Breakfast was a bit of a free for all. We had a slight issue and this was resolved very quickly with the management team.

Room was excellent….housekeeping not so much…was hit or miss. Also AC continually broke down, and after being told motor needed to be replaced, 3 days later it was still not done, even after someone came by every day. They did make amends and offered a massage, but for a 5 star hotel, neither or the above things should have been an issue at all.

The resort is very old, I'm aware it is being refurbished later in the year but current state is pretty poor for the price paid. The bathroom in the room we stayed was the hardest part. It was a bath shower with a blocked drain, mould and limited room to actually have a safe shower. Anyone close to 6ft would struggle to not hit their head. Staff were nice and friendly and happy to assist where possible. Wife is coeliac and the resort offers limited GF options but not suitable for coeliac due to cross contamination. For example GF pancakes cooked on same pan using same utensils for normal pancakes.

I think some of the rooms need a complete makeover. The first room we were given was damp and smelly and the second room though better wasn't what I was hoping for - curtains and walls were in need of replacing/painting.

The property is very old. It’s acceptable but the food and service at the restaurant is just terrible. Breakfast is blend and I have flies all over the fruits even in the fridge. Every morning a cappuccino would take 30mins despite ordering it 5-6 times yet they can ask u over and again hot or cold. My entire team had to walk over to next door Laguna for dinner every night simply bcos of really bad food in our hotel

This property is absolutely stunning! It is so well maintained by staff who are meticulous and detail oriented. The food was top notch and the service was outstanding. From the minute you step foot onto the gorgeous property, everyone makes sure that you have the most amazing vacation. Thank you Melia Bali for a truly amazing experience!

Meliá Bali retains the old Bali traditional style and charm with a stunning entry lobby water features and well kept grounds.The staff are all very friendly and helpful.This was our third visit. We however felt the rooms were in bad need of an update especially bathrooms and showers. The touches that would be expected in a 5 star hotel were sadly no longer present. We would happily return as we have sentimental connection but only when rooms are upgraded. We hope however it retains the traditional style into the future.

The relaxed, safe environment and setting make Melia a place where one can chill and enjoy the tranquility.The location is away from the hustle and bustle - which is what we wanted in our short holiday. Superb garden setting with very comfortable rooms.

We were first given a junior suite which was old, not clean, not well maintained. Worth at best 3 stars. We had to complain to get a better option. This was disappointing. Eventually we moved into a nice lagoon access room, well appointed and renovated. From that on we enjoyed the stay very much. Small caveat, breakfast and dinner buffet are quite plain and same every day. The garden and pool are fantastic. The beach a huge deception as very dirty. We didn’t mind it was as we settled for the pool.

The room and facilities were really nice. Since this is a well-known hotel, pickups to excursions/tour guides always know where to pick you up from. It’s in walking distance to the shopping center and to the beach. It’s a safe area and the staff were very friendly. Food at the restaurants and buffet were tasty. Overall a good stay.

Stayed in the 2 bedroom villa, #1 from aug 7- 11th! Was all inclusive and our family loved every minute of it! Grounds were impressively maintained, clean and impressive. Unit was top notch...impeccable and everything one can wish for. All staff from transportation to all service areas (coffee hut, restaurants, spa etc) including housekeeping was fabulous! One cannot help but feel magic and personal peace at this resort...

AC isn’t powerful in the room. It helps. Could be more stronger making it pleasant to sleep. The facilities are lovely, lots to do inside the complex if you want peace and quiet. Nice breakfast with many choices.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. We booked a pool side room but we’re upgraded to a beach side villa. It was absolutely fabulous. Just wish we could have stayed longer. The choice of restaurants were excellent. The Spanish restaurant and buffet were both very good. The staff were very pleasant and extremely helpful. We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. We booked a pool side room but we’re upgraded to a beach side villa. It was absolutely fabulous. Just wish we could have stayed longer. The choice of restaurants were excellent. The Spanish restaurant and buffet were both very good. The staff were very pleasant and extremely helpful. We really enjoyed the hotel grounds, hotel garden and animals.

It was in a really good location and the staff were really trained well so the service was impeccable. Breakfast in the morning was good varied but the same menu daily so after a few days felt quite boring. They have more attention and emphasis to their level members and so if you were not part of it you had a different level of service.

ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING!! An amazing hotel, an unforgettable experience! This hotel has it all and we can’t wait to go back again. The staff are just remarkable and every single thing is catered for. In particular Yudi, Mita and Darma were on hand to make our stay exceptional. We paid the extra for The Level and it was completely worth it. Everything from sunglasses cleaned to cold towels on the private beach, afternoon tea and high end nibbles with cocktails were all included. It was definitely worth the extra. Thank you so much for making our holiday THE best ever!

We had a fantastic trip and couldn’t fault anything about our stay at the Melia. Staff were super friendly and helpful. The food in main restaurant was plentiful and good quality/selection each morning at breakfast. The gardens are amazing. We especially enjoyed the beach restaurant and lounges on the deck with a nice view. We highly recommend the Melia Bali.

Fantastic experience.. would like to return. Beautiful resort with beautiful smiles all around.. nice beach and pools.. only concern was non English speaking abilities of few staffs and missing orders (2 times the waiter missed to get us the desserts in El Patio restaurant and one time room service missed to deliver 4 bottles of water ordered). Other than this Melia Bali was excellent.. You can also add more options for drinks and food menu for all inclusive packages.

We travelled as a family with our two teenage daughters. The Meliá is a large hotel but the service from all staff was incredible. We were made to feel very special and on a number of occasions the F&B Manager, Sulandra made visits to where we were dining to ensure we were satisfied. The food at each establishment was excellent with our favourite being the Japanese restaurant. The activities on offer were good fun and again the staff/instructors were fantastic. We would recommend the Meliá whole heartedly and look forward to returning soon.

I loved this property, the gardens are exquisite, the pool is large and well kept. The staff are exceptional. The breakfast is world class. My only criticism is though there is a few dining options I found the food in two of these very ordinary. As a 5 star resort I would have liked a free shuttle or taxi from the airport included in the price but was charged double the taxi rate as I later found out. It would be nice if these large resorts have an ATM, just a thought. The rooms are beautiful and have lovely views. Definitely needs to be experienced.

The room and facilities were really nice. Since this is a well-known hotel, pickups to excursions/tour guides always know where to pick you up from. It’s in walking distance to the shopping center and to the beach. It’s a safe area and the staff were very friendly. Food at the restaurants and buffet were tasty. Overall a good stay.

As others have written, the photos don’t do justice to the peaceful gardens and surroundings. It was better than we could have imagined, and after walking the beachside path and looking at the neighboring resorts we were even more happy to be staying at Melia Bali. The staff were all very nice and helpful. This is the first time we’ve come to Bali and we planned a resort stay to overcome jet lag and relax. It is an extra bonus for us that there was not a loud party party night scene. The buffet style breakfast included was plentiful and satisfying. The head of the kitchen staff came to our table and offered us the sincere and deep conversation we wished for but didn’t think possible at a large resort. We will be forever glad we came here first and recommend this hotel to everyone.

Trevligt och fint hotell. Precis vid havet och med ett bra poolområde. Trädgårdsanläggningen var mycket välskött och vacker. Det fanns flera restauranger att välja på. Relativt höga priser. Food was excellent but expensivd. Best to get an all inclusive deal..well worth it. Drinks all included and all meals..eat as much as you want and drink. Staff are awesome very friendly. Got a deal.that included excursion to Sanur and Ulawatu temple. Missed sunset due to traffic. Pool is very tepid but not very deep. Viilage 15 min walk for cheaoer shopping than Bali connection which is close by. Loved our stay.

The grounds are beautiful and the kids club is excellent, best we’ve ever seen. We stayed in a family suite and it was nice. The rooms are getting a bit dated now, particularly the bathrooms. Myself and my son both got sick from meals we had in the hotel. The staff were lovely. Slower service in the restaurants but around the pool very quick. Would recommend to families.

The property is very old. It’s acceptable but the food and service at the restaurant is just terrible. Breakfast is blend and I have flies all over the fruits even in the fridge. Every morning a cappuccino would take 30mins despite ordering it 5-6 times yet they can ask u over and again hot or cold. My entire team had to walk over to next door Laguna for dinner every night simply bcos of really bad food in our hotel

The breakfast becomes a bit monotonous. Could be changed around a bit. The Indian fare on offer, considering the number of Indian visitors, was very minimal and could do with refreshing and updating at least once every 2nd day.
