The room I received was spacious, I wasnt expecting such a nice room, and bathroom had a spa bath. Bed was comfortable and good fluffy towels in very good condition. Clean room, great view of street outside and can see the shops across the road

Clean room, handy self service laundry downstairs. Supermarkets and restaurants all within 2min walk.

The only comment I would make is that the car parks are not wide enough for two SUV type vehicles to park together.

Wish known pool not functioning

Large comfortable room but smelt dusty. We booked this motel as has pool but discovered pool not open. Very disappointing on a hot few days!

Liked the set out of the rooms well stocked bonus courtyard Handy position. A fair bit of rubbish in the back parking area too be fair it was windy. Parking bays a bit tight.

I don’t even know where to begin with how disastrous my stay was at this establishment. I had specifically booked a room with two queen beds and a kitchenette, but upon arrival, I found that the room had been swapped without any prior notice. When I arrived around 3:30 pm, reception was completely unmanned. I was left stranded, making countless phone calls over the course of 25 minutes before finally reaching someone. Even then, they gave me the incorrect door code twice, further wasting my time and patience. When I finally got through to the person on the phone, they had the audacity to suggest canceling my reservation, despite me having just driven 700 kilometers to get there. After insisting I needed my room, I was given a room that was entirely different from what I had booked. Instead of the two queen beds I had reserved, the room contained a single bed and a king bed. There was no proper kitchenette—just a microwave and a toaster, which made it impossible to cook. As a result, I had to eat out, which cost me significantly more than expected. To make matters worse, the bathtub/hot tub was completely inoperable because the faucet was missing, and the room itself was clearly not cleaned properly. Adding insult to injury, the pool area was shut down without any prior notice, which was one of the reasons I had chosen this location. Other guests staying at the property were also complaining. I booked this hotel for the pool and the pool was out of order. Had no notification prior to booking otherwise I would of booked elsewhere

Had a trailer I needed to park, owner showed me exactly were I could. Very helpful. Great room, quiet, big, clean, spa in basic room. Excellent bed.

Dirty fridge

Outside the room in the stairwell and outside walking areas was really dirty - cigarette buts, mud and dust under the steps that looked like it had been there for years. It was pretty bad for something that could be so very easily cleaned. They had no pride in their business - would never go there again.

It looks really good from outside and spacious. However, I would have given 0 for cleanliness. Carpets have never been steam cleaned and soles of our feet were black from dirty carpets. Chairs and sofa were unsafe to sit as they were broken.

The comfort inn (Bakery Hill) was rather ordinary . The bathroom shower curtain was covered in mould. The toilet cistern was hanging crooked on the wall . Not to mention you just about put your back out trying to reach the toilet paper . Bathroom was nothing like the pictures on the website. To then top it of the place was crawling with crickets , they were even in the bed crawling all over the pillows and in between the sheets . When you looked behind the bedside tables it was just covered in dust that has been there a very long time .I would certainly not go back to this place .

I always stay here for business trips - clean and comfortable. A bit dated, but I always get a ground floor room - has a little courtyard (which as a smoker I love). Plenty of places to eat and close to shops.

Basic but very spacious rooms (with a spa) in a central location. Nice & quiet as well with a heated pool on offer. Relaxed feel, would def. stay here again.

Very convenient location close to town. Check in was a text with a code for the door- worked well. Bed comfortable. TV older, not all channels available and sound cut in and out continuously which was annoying. Could hear people in room above me walking around lucky for me they weren’t too noisy and it was ok. Would stay again.

Great quick check in. We were just staying one night on the way to Tullamarine airport in Melbourne. A spacious room with a very comfortable bed. Bloomin' luxury with the electric blanket as it was a chilly day! The view was lovely and we also appreciated the blinds at night time. I didn't indulge in the hot tub but it was extremely tempting! We loved the easy walking proximity to resturants and shopping. Desi Vibes fed us amazing Indian cuisine. We would love to return and explore more of Ballarat.

Good location, but unkempt and no reception at arrival 4.45pm or leaving 8.10am.

Didn't receive text message for instruction to get into room. Waited in cold until staff arrived who was very rude and unapologetic

Were there for 3 nights, reception closed for 3 days!! One of our keys did not work phoned the number on reception door was told he would not be coming in and to use the pass number!! Carpets on stair ripped which is a tripping hazard, very unwelcoming and unfriendly environment. Would not recommend.

Perfect for a bed for a night - central and easy check in (text message with code), but very basic.

Avoid booking a room at this property as our booking was cancelled by the owner/manager without notifying us first and also there has been no refund provided. He refused to assist us with as to why he had done this and simply said it’s up to WOTIF not me. There was no notification from WOTIF about our room being cancelled so we assume that WOTIF think that we stayed at the property which of course we did not due to the owner saying he had cancelled it. We are concerned that the owner may have taken our money from WOTIF and the re-sold the same room again to a different customer. Most unhelpful hotel manager in our 35 years of staying all around the world and we never ever even got to see the hotel room we had paid for.

Nothing to complain about. I arrived very late and walked in the door to find the heater in , my room was lovely and warm and cosy and the electric blanket had been switched on so my bed was lovely and warm to crawl into. What more can one ask for. Great service thank you so much Would highly recommend!!

Check in was easy, the staff were friendly however I was disappointed that the selling points for which I chose this establishment were unavailable. After a really long drive I was looking forward to the spa bath which after filling the bath found the spa didn't work, went to order breakfast at 7pm for the next morning per their webpage (that said order before 8pm) and was told it was unavailable as they weren't doing it anymore the cherry on the cake was bedtime when we our 3 year old opened the door and took off because the door chain was missing, the latch was there but the chain wasn't had to baracade the door with chairs to keep our son in. Other than those few things it was good, though we did find in the morning a beer bottle perched on our trailer and signs someone had been climbing in our classic car.

Very unfriendly staff. Property was listed under Pet Friendly so we brought our little dog along.The way the owner reacted was as if we had commited a crime.Our dog is a very quiet,toilet trained maltese cross poodle.Sofa bed was not made and the mattress was so hard i couldn't sleep. One of the brochure mentioned continental or cooked breakfast and of course breakfast continental or cooked was not provided. As soon as we were on our way to leave the owner's partner to check the state of the property and see if we hadent stolen anything from the fridge.What we thought was a little welcoming hamper was an expensive one. I would not recommend this place,not worth the money
