Very comfortable room centrally located in Banff National Park. Both Lake Louise and the town of Banff we less than 30 minutes away. We also had a great hike at Johnston Canyon. Laundry was also convenient and we talked to our fellow travelers around the fire. Great experience!

Clean chalets. Staff super friendly and helpful. Easy communication with the staff and housekeeping. Large parking spot directly in front of the chalet we stayed at. Rec room with ping pong, football, etc. and laundry on location. We look forward to a third year at Castle Mountain Chalets. Thank you for being so welcoming!

Good property. Cabin clean and well stocked. Stayed in a duplex style cabin, unfortunately the joining wall has little insulation. Next to train tracks. Can get noisy. Supply ear plugs. Nice bbq, grocery and fire pits.

Loved our stay at Castle Mountain Chalets. So convenient to get to Lake Louise and Lake Moraine. Loved the game room. My family used it every night we were there. Can’t wait to come back again

We loved our knotty pine cabin. The grounds were wonderful, beautiful. The staff was kind, helpful, accommodating. The kitchen was incredibly well supplied. The craftsmanship of the cabin was remarkable. All made for a very comfortable stay: the store, the parking, the grounds, the amenities. And what a beautiful spot!

Close to Johnston canyon, 22 minutes drive from Banff. Plenty of parking space right by the cabin and more on gas station and store side. Check in at the little store next to gas pump. Normal check in time is around 3:30 pm to 5pm but they are flexible, just email thrm to arrange key drop off. Great stay.

Everything as advertised. Very convenient, right in the middle of the forrest, away from traffic etc and beautiful area! Staff was excellent! - friendly and took care of everything! The fireplace was a nice touch! And staff made sure we had enough wood. The only complaint: sleep wasn’t great. For one, the train going right next to the complex and blowing the horn right beside it. Second, the heating system was very noisy - each time the blower kicked in it made a horrible noise - I am sure I woke up every time it started. Other nice things: has stove, oven, pots and pans, plates, glasses, cutlery, coffee, tea, toaster, microwave, everything we could have wanted! Also, the main lodge had games, tv, large fireplace - very nice! Maybe I would go again and maybe not - depends how much I would value my sleep at the time. But other than sleep, it was beautiful!

Great location to visit Moraine Lake and Lake Louise! Comfortable bed, well equipped full kitchen. Free firewood delivered daily and cute general store. We saw the Northern Lights from the parking lot! Loved our stay and plan to return!

Such a lovely place and friendly staff. Some people complained about the train but we loved it! We stayed 5 days and could have stayed longer. Don’t over pack because there isn’t a closet and the fridge is tiny. Everything you need for indoor and outdoor fires. There is a shop, gas and liquor store right on site.

I loved staying at the Castle Mountain Chalet! It is conveniently located about 20 minutes from the heart of Banff National Park, 5 minutes from Johnston Canyon, and right off of the Trans-Canada Highway 1. The staff provided a VERY convenient contactless check-in and check-out process that really supported my international travel preferences. The surrounding property is very well maintained and I adore how welcoming the "community" of chalets are located. The only thing that I had noticed are some cobwebs above the kitchen and bathroom; however, I can totally understand given the environment that the property is so well immersed in. I would recommend that should anyone be sensitive to outside noises, the chalets are located close to a railway, so expect trains to pass through frequently. On the best note, staff does well with providing ear plugs right next to your bed! I am thankful to have stayed at Castle Mountain Chalets and will gladly recommend to anyone traveling in to the Banff area!

Escaso mantenimiento,nos encontramos comida de anteriores inquilinos debajo de la cama,menaje de cocina contado,la sartén se pegaba.El horno lleno de grasa.Ratones dentro de la casa.El lavavajillas fuera de su sitio,la puerta se vencía hacia afuera.Relación calidad-precio caro.Personal muy amable,lo mejor del establecimiento.

Cabins are located midway between Lake Louise and Banff in Banff national park. They are very convenient for hikes in any direction. The cabins are well designed and the property is very clean.

Our cabin was a great home base for exploring Banff, Yoho, and Lake Louise area. Bed was comfortable, water was hot, and location was peaceful. We loved the soap from Rocky Mountain Soap Company! Negatives: Shower dripped on the faucet and splashed on the floor while filling bathtub which was annoying. Also we had issues with the cleaning crew every day we were there. One day we came back and the trash had been tied up and left in the middle of the floor by the kitchen table. Another day, we came in and every light in the cabin was on (we had turned them all off). We came back another day and there were two big pieces of trash on the floor in the living area. We are assuming they fell out of the trash bags when being emptied. The final incident was when we came back at 4:30 pm and housekeeping had not been there yet. They knocked on the door at 5:00. We just handed our dirty towels out and asked for clean ones. Perhaps better training of the housekeeping crew would lead to a more efficient process.

Great location with lovely, rustic & spacious cabins. The store on site was very handy with a good selection of snacks, sandwiches, drinks, and even some dog treats for the pup. We had to rewash the dishes before using them as they didn't seem clean, but other than that our stay was very enjoyable and we will likely return.

The cabin is right on the Bow Valley Parkway with great scenery nearby and near both Banff and Lake Louise. Maybe due to restrictions of Park Canada, the kitchen in the cabin does not have a dish washer, which caused a little inconvenience. Another improvement I would suggest is to update the foldable mattress in the sofa bed as it always makes noises when someone moves or turns while sleeping.

What a beautiful, clean cabin! The open floor plan made it feel like we had so much room. We could drive over to Banff in 20 minutes, but our favorite part of the trip was an epic hike just a couple of miles from the cabin. There are beautiful hikes you can walk to! My husband said that I “knocked it out of the park” when I booked this cabin.

The location is perfect to skiing at Lake Louise. The cabin was wonderful. The rooms in our cabin were large so there is lots of space for hanging out. The fireplace and the jacuzzi are our favourite features!

The cabin we stayed in very nice. It was rustic. The cabin was clean and warm (we stayed in the winter). The kitchenette had everything we needed for breakfast and heat up dinner. The only improvements that we would recommend is a new mattress, a thin (limited room) night stand by the bed for a CPAP, and some extra shelves in the bathroom. Overall, the cabin was quite nice.

Staff were great. I would definitely stay again! The place is right next to train tracks. That was known up front and they do provide ear plugs. However, the trains operate many times during the night. Even with the earplugs we woke up daily around 4 am and were kept up by trains every half hour or hour afterwards…. For my wife, that was a dealbreaker. I didn’t enjoy it, but given the proximity to the parks compared to Banff town, I was very happy we stayed in Castle Mountain and I would do it again!

Everything as advertised. Very convenient, right in the middle of the forrest, away from traffic etc and beautiful area! Staff was excellent! - friendly and took care of everything! The fireplace was a nice touch! And staff made sure we had enough wood. The only complaint: sleep wasn’t great. For one, the train going right next to the complex and blowing the horn right beside it. Second, the heating system was very noisy - each time the blower kicked in it made a horrible noise - I am sure I woke up every time it started. Other nice things: has stove, oven, pots and pans, plates, glasses, cutlery, coffee, tea, toaster, microwave, everything we could have wanted! Also, the main lodge had games, tv, large fireplace - very nice! Maybe I would go again and maybe not - depends how much I would value my sleep at the time. But other than sleep, it was beautiful!

Amazing location. Very good for exploring Banff. Just by the Bow river and Castle mountain. However the beds were awful. Old and comfy at all. Got a terrible back pain afterwards.

Clean chalets. Staff super friendly and helpful. Easy communication with the staff and housekeeping. Large parking spot directly in front of the chalet we stayed at. Rec room with ping pong, football, etc. and laundry on location. We look forward to a third year at Castle Mountain Chalets. Thank you for being so welcoming!

Really huge suite in the larger lodge and decorated so nicely to really embody that cozy, mountain lodge feel. Views were incredible and it was set so far from the bustle of Banff, but close enough to access necessities, especially since the little storefront on-site had a number of decent essentials. Really great place, especially for the money. Customer service and front office staff went the extra mile and were so friendly and welcoming. Definitely will return again

This place was beautiful and very clean, quit and relaxing, with an incredible view of Castle Mountain I however Checked in late and scared the Staff by accident😳 and do apologize, as he probably thought i was a bear or something😅. It was a really nice stay. Very nice property and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. The only thing that needs to improve is the off hour service/ response. The heater stopped working sometimes overnight in -18 degree. Nobody gets back to us when we asked for help. Not until the front desk back on duty at 0830..

Absolutely unforgettable, peaceful, and enjoyable stay. We loved it! Staff were so friendly and helpful too. So helpful to have gas and a market readily available. Would come back again! Sometimes you do hear a train passing by and tooting their horn, but I think it just adds to the charm of the place. We weren’t bothered by it at all.

We stayed here so that we could be in between Banff and Lake Louise. What a spectacular location. We arroved later than we expected and didn't have much cell service so we're unable to call, the staff kindly left me a voicemail saying they had left the key in my room for my arrival. Staff went above and beyond in their service- very friendly. Chalet was so comfortable and beautiful. Highly recommend

We loved staying here! It felt very removed from the crowds in Banff and Lake Louise, but was in a location that made it easy to get to those places! We loved having a full kitchen to cook breakfast and dinner for our families. The views of Castle Mountain from the cabins were amazing, especially seeing the sunrises!

Loved the location of the chalets, so many walks and so much wildlife around. Lots of things to do a short drive away, including all the main touristy bits like Lake Louise. Lodges themselves are nice, really handy to have a full kitchen too!

The cedar cabin we stayed in was old, small and congested. It didn't have much ventilation, luckily we had our own fan that we used in the night. Surprisingly it didn't have any restaurant so we had to drive 25 minutes from one side to banff town to get some food. I will not be going to stay in the cedar cabin again.

Beautiful cabins fully equipped and very nice staff. It doesn’t have any restaurants nearby so if you need that make sure you bring some food. They do have a little general store with snacks, drinks (incl adult bevs). I was pleasantly surprised with how nice it was for the price! Enjoyed hiking around the area.

A quiet , peaceful retreat under the towering majesty of Castle mountain. You can make your own home cooked meals and not pay restaurant prices. We stepped out this morning amidst the magnificent fall colours to hike to the Ink Pots at Johnson’s Canyon. The day before we hiked to Lake Agnes at Lane Louise. We will be coming back to be greeted by the friendly staff who helped us build a fire in our fire place.

Great location with lovely, rustic & spacious cabins. The store on site was very handy with a good selection of snacks, sandwiches, drinks, and even some dog treats for the pup. We had to rewash the dishes before using them as they didn't seem clean, but other than that our stay was very enjoyable and we will likely return.

The floors and beds are squeezky. My dad is a light sleeper. He wakes up all the time because of the squeeky floors. Staff are nicer and so the area. In between Banff and lake Louies area (30 minutes each way) Not much options about the dining. Bring your own food and cook at the Chalets. Nice view of Mountain Castle.

We had wonderful time! Chalet had everything: mountain views (!), TV, cable (and DVDs to rent), natural fireplace (firewood provided), stove, fridge, plates, cutlery, and all kind of kitchen gadgets, if you would like to cook instead of going out. Staff is very nice and attentive. :) Cross-country trails and downhill skiing is close. Johnston Canyon is only 15 minutes away. We will definitely come back.

I barely heard the train at night, it was a non issue.

Our cabin was a gem! Had a fabulous stay. Only thing that could be improved was the squeaky sofa bed that needed a memory foam topper so as not to feel all the springs. Beautiful grounds, fabulous staff.

Fabulous chalet with lots of room, well laid out and very well equipped. It was exceptionally clean on our arrival and housekeeping staff visited each day to see if we needed anything. I particularly liked the way each chalet was lit with fairy lights once it went dark, very picturesque. This resort is in a good location for sight-seeing and is situated in a beautiful setting. It was nice to sit out on the front deck of an evening watching the world go by. I would definitely recommend Castle Mountain Chalets.
