Exception staff, cleanliness of room and view! The only thing that precludes me from giving 5 stars is the overpowering smell of cannabis in the hallway, elevator,—-pretty much everywhere except our room. Though we were on a no smoking floor, we we accosted with a strong scent of cannabis as soon as we left the room. Also, we found it to be a little bit misleading, that the promised pool, hot tub, and sauna were not part of the hotel, but the property across the parking lot. Otherwise, great staff and view!

The location is great for avoiding the summer crowds, “reasonable” for Banff prices, with access to sister properties with pool and dining. Rooms were spacious though dated; no AC in summer. Staff very helpful and friendly

We had the family suite, sleeping six people. The room was clean and the beds comfortable but the carpeted floor was dark, stained and well-worn. Didn’t like that there was only one bathroom. Also, in order to get to the pool, you leave the hotel, cross the parking lot, enter the next hotel go downstairs, follow a hall and when you do find the pool, the lighting is very dim.

An older property , did not have a River view. Comfortable beds . Booked a 2 bedroom Front desk staff excellent, assisted us with the bus schedule. Prompt maintenance assistance when the microwave and coffee maker blew a circuit breaker. Lovely area to walk to Bow River. Would stay here again, but would like the River view. Used the pool and restaurant in the sister property across the parking lot , very nice facility .

Overall really nice experience. Nice location. Friendly staff. Room service was good. Located right in Banff with lots of dining options at a walking distance. Parking was a bit inconvenient as we had to walk across the street to the parking lot of another hotel that shares the parking space, and there was no direct elevator access from the garage to Bow View Lodge (had to walk suitcases across to our hotel) as well pool amenities are shared and located in the hotel adjacent to Bow View Lodge. But it was a good experience overall, the hotel was clean, rooms are nice and cosy and the view from the balcony was nice.

Pictures on your site don’t show exactly how it is. We arrived after dark. Staff not knowledgeable, rooms are very outdated for the price, but were clean. The Banff area is very expensive, but for what we paid, I would have gladly paid more to stay in an updated facility and room.

We always enjoy staying at Bow View Lodge. The staff are amazing and so happy to help in any way that they can. The room was so clean and comfortable. We appreciated that it was quiet and very easy parking was so safe. We recommend this hotel for anyone.

The location couldn’t be better—just by the river and few minutes from the heart of town, making it perfect for exploring the town. What stood out the most was the exceptionally warm and helpful staff. I would highly recommend this place if anyone is looking for convenience, comfort, and excellent service in Banff!

The room was exceptionaly clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. Location is very convenient, only a few blocks from Banff Avenue. Only 2 things people should know: 1.) La Terrazza resteraunt is closed for renovations 2.) a $50 per night deposit is required when you check in.

If you're lucky, you will have a great view of the mountain & river from your balcony. The staff are friendly too. Location is just few blocks away from the busy street of banff (stores & all). And you can catch up your bus to Gondola within 10mins walk from this lodge.

Excellent position for the town and the Bow River Trail. The hotel had no restaurant but had arrangements with the hotel next door, for clients to have breakfast. Communal microwaves were available in public area. The rooms had reasonable facilities and the staff were pleasant.

The room was exceptionaly clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. Location is very convenient, only a few blocks from Banff Avenue. Only 2 things people should know: 1.) La Terrazza resteraunt is closed for renovations 2.) a $50 per night deposit is required when you check in.

Nice and clean rooms, Comfy, but small , lobby area has coffee/tea station. . Option to not do daily housekeeping in exchange for a $5.00 voucher per day that you can accumulate and use at 2 restaurants next door. No air cond.

The partner restaurant next door has a great breakfast for purchase. Staff were really friendly and interesting. Mid November 2025 there was daytime construction across the street. But also the river is very nearby, and amazing stars were visible in the dark sky to the west. We are thankful for our stay.

The location is great for avoiding the summer crowds, “reasonable” for Banff prices, with access to sister properties with pool and dining. Rooms were spacious though dated; no AC in summer. Staff very helpful and friendly

An older property , did not have a River view. Comfortable beds . Booked a 2 bedroom Front desk staff excellent, assisted us with the bus schedule. Prompt maintenance assistance when the microwave and coffee maker blew a circuit breaker. Lovely area to walk to Bow River. Would stay here again, but would like the River view. Used the pool and restaurant in the sister property across the parking lot , very nice facility .

We had a great stay, the location is amazing beside the river and it's easy to walk around the town. Parking is very easy as well! The property shares facilities with the Banff Lodge next door (pool and restaurants). Comfy beds and pillows and quiet area, only thing to note is that is an older building but the room comes with all the basics.

It's a good thing it was September as there is no AC in the room. On site parking is not secure. There is no breakfast at this hotel and all restaurants are in a different hotel. The pool and fitness center are in a different hotel. This hotel is basically just rooms and showers and nothing else. The rooms are noisy you can here people pee in other suites. The entire building has a musty smell and a run down appearance. During the night someone attempted to break in to my vehicle as it was parked in the on site lot.

This is an older property. We were looking for budget accommodation as Banff is so terribly expensive and hard to find vacancies. It seemed clean, but the fixtures and carpet are old. The location is great. We loved walking around the river, however if we ever go back to Banff I’d probably splurge for another property with a/c. With the window open and supplied fan was running, we could hear the bugling elks howling at night, and the trains were especially loud all night long.

The property location was very nice and an easy walk to restaurants and the shopping district. The property is definitely older and the room we had was quite small with very uncomfortable chairs for sitting. We are generally not people who spend a lot of time in our room, because we want to be outside. But we had two days of rainy weather so we were inside for part of the time, which is when we really noticed how uncomfortable the chairs were. The parking lot was not very big, but the staff was accommodating on helping to get everyone a parking spot. All of the rooms in Banff are expensive, so just know going in that it doesn't have the WOW factor, but it was convenient and clean, So if that is what you are looking for, then this would be good for you.
