Location excellent, bed very comfortable and surprisingly quiet considering lication in CBD. Parking was only issue as it is advertised on Expedia as limited but it appears nonly available off site.

Very nice hotel with spacious room. Front desk staff was extemely helpful and friendly. On-site parking was convenient. Construction was occurring on garbage entrance road, so entry was through a construction entrance. it would have been helpful to understand that ahead of time as we had to drive around block a few times before understanding how to enter garage.

Loved the location, close proximity to Riverside restaurants and also Queen St Mall and also a nice walk to South Bank. The parking was initially a bit of a downer but we found that Uptown parking was actually good & a quick walk across to the accommodation.

There was construction on the road outside. The written instructions from the hotel told us to enter from the wrong street, leaving us stranded in the middle of a busy intersection, and probably incurring a red-light camera fine. When we told them, the hotel said "Oh, yeah, it changes each day". If that's the case, you should contact customers arriving that day and update their instructions. Absolutely zero concern was shown. The rooms are quite airless. You aren't allowed to adjust the air conditioning, but there is very little air movement. One bedroom had a rattley pedestal fan, which was better than nothing. The other was just stuffy and hot. On the positive side, the rooms are large and have kitchenettes, and the hotel is well located. That is why we returned this time. We will think twice about coming back again.

This was our second stay at Royal Albert. Great place to stay to explore Brisbane City with just a short walk to bus & train stations. The hotel no longer has its own parking facilities, so we parked literally across the road at 140 Elizabeth Street. Plenty of dining options around the hotel. We will stay there again.

Time for a renovation i think. Or a deep clean. Carpets need to be cleaned couches need to be replaced shower heads and floors need to be scrubbed and some major dusting needs to be done even the hanger on the back of the bathroom door was broken. Apart from the cleanliness, the hotel has a great old world charm and is in such a good position, close to everything.

Property is old and a bit run down. The shower had mold around the tub wall. On the plus side, the washer/dryer was a nice amenity and the hotel is in a great location.

A little dissapointed this stay. We have previously stayed with a positive experience however this time we were a little let down. The parking set up has had to change which is fair enough, however there was no communication of this prior to arriving. Secondly the cleanliness of the room was poor. Dusty, forgotten about areas, blankets with stains/marks. We also found a loose pill/medication on the floor and considering we had a small child with us we were quite alarmed at this.

The royal albert hotel has gone to the pack. It could do with an upgrade and a really good clean. We stayed there regularly some years ago and it was really good but not any more. Won't return there in a rush.

Excellent location and very spacious room with kitchen facilities. Air conditioning could not be altered and the room was freezing. The shower was nice but either scalding hot or cold.

This is a lovely old hotel right in the heart of the city. The room was beautiful and spacious with a mini kitchen and even a washer and dryer. There is a lovely cafe on street level that is very popular. The Queen Street Mall, the pedestrian-only main shopping and entertainment district, is right outside the hotel. The Brisbane Botanical Gardens are two blocks away. The Brisbane River is two blocks away.

This is a very old building but it is being well maintained. The rooms are large and well appointed. Our only issue was the hot water being not really hot enough - no need for any cold water in the shower.

Was surprised by the stairs in the room. Bathroom very dated and shower terrible but the room is a great size, very quiet considering location and age of building. Bed very comfy and location was very central. Cafe downstairs very handy.

Perfect location, close to the city centre. Even though its in the thick of things the noise was low in the room. Comfy bed and clean room. Id definitely stay again. Only one negative. The wifi barely worked.

Excellent location right at the heart of CBD. I like the spacious room, microwave oven and kettle. I wish they have stronger lighting over the writing desk. The biggest downside is the weak WiFi. I had to quit a Zoom meeting due to poor internet connection. I had to use my phone as hotspot to complete the flight check-in online. The WiFi was so weak that the page wouldn't load.

Do not be fooled by the high ratings as we were. Our 2 night stay at the Royal Albert Hotel was one of the worst hotel experiences we have ever endured. I would strongly advise booking elsewhere. From the moment we entered our suite, it was clear there was a lack of basic maintenance. We immediately reported significant issues with both the toilet and the shower to the front desk. While the staff member seemed caring and attentive, no action was ever taken to resolve these problems, leaving us with a partially functional bathroom for our entire stay. The door handle to the suite was also broken. The noise level was simply unacceptable. Major construction work went on outside our window until well past 11 p.m. on weeknights, making sleep completely impossible. A hotel's most basic promise is a place to rest, and the Royal Albert failed spectacularly. Our request to move rooms, even with an offer to pay for an upgrade, was ignored. To top it all off, the pull-out sofa was horrendously uncomfortable. The mattress was so thin you could feel every single spring digging into your back. We had to request an extra mattress from a fold-out bed just to make it bearable, for which the hotel tried to charge us extra until we refused. Then, upon checking out, we found we had been overcharged by $30 for parking. This hotel is not professionally managed. Problems are ignored, guest comfort is an afterthought, and billing is careless. I cannot recommend it under any circumstances.

There is a management problem with this hotel. I don’t feel safe in it because when I return to my room next day I found my room’s door was widely open. My room’s door was open while I was not in the hotel! It stunned me. I reported it to the front desk immediately and nobody gave me an explanation just like nothing has happened. This is my first time experience like that, terrible experience.

Way better than expected!! Didn’t realize we were getting a full apartment (with a washer-dryer)! Good value, busy downtown neighborhood. Staff was great (especially Shantelle)!

Hotel was in a good spot. Air conditioner in room was faulty. Kitchen light did not work. Bedroom lamp had no globe in it. Very hard to get Hotel to do anything about problems with room. Hotel was full so could not change rooms. Very disappointing for a 4 star establishment.

This is a very comfortable hotel with spacious rooms and old world styling. We had a one bedroom that was perfect. Location is eight excellent with shopping and restaurants directly across the street and it’s also walkable to many places. It’s a short stroll to get down to the river area. I would also like to recognize Ryan at the front desk for excellent customer service and people skills. During our three week trip, he is one of the most professional and service oriented staff we have met

The noise from next door was super unbearable. My Bond hasn't been refunded after I had checked out 4 days ago, after sending message via Expedia App, and tried for half hour phoning the hotel line, totally no answers....the communication is poor as....so I have to send an email at last, hopefully I can hear from them re my bond and get it refunded soon Not good feeling after all that

My Bond hasn't been refunded after I had checked out 4 days ago, after sending message via Expedia App, and tried for half hour phoning the hotel line, totally no answers....the communication is poor as....so I have to send an email at last, hopefully I can hear from them re my bond and get it refunded soon Not good feeling after all that

Absolutely loved our 3 night stay at the Royal Albert Hotel. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Chantelle on reception was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a great location within walking distance of everything you need. We used their car company to take us to the airport which was a great service. Would highly recommend this hotel.

There is a lovely cafe on street level that is very popular. The Queen Street Mall, the pedestrian-only main shopping and entertainment district, is right outside the hotel. The Brisbane Botanical Gardens are two blocks away. The Brisbane River is two blocks away.

The Royal Albert Hotel is beautiful accommodation located in an 18th century heritage listed building that is over 100 years old. Our room was on the 8th floor, was clean, spacious and comfortable. The period fittings and decor complimented our room. Situated right in the heart of the Brisbane CBD you’re walking distance to the Queen Street Mall, Wintergarden, Brisbane Arcade and designer stores as well as a number of restaurants and cafes.

The staff were very lovely. Location is fantastic Downside is the road works which is no fault of the hotel but it is 24/7 so take ear plugs. Wifi was a bit patchy.

The hotel is in an old building which might not look appealing, but dont let that put you off. All the staff are exceptionally helpful as good as those in 5 star hotels. The room we had was huge I have only ever stayed in a larger suite once. The room accommodated 5 adults easily walk in wardrobes 2 large recently refurbished bathroom Kitchen area dining table even a small laundery room with tumble driers. Rooms had aircon and larger flat tvs. The location is really central for shops, access to the river, a short walk to main station - great. The pavement restaurant right outside provided good food at a fair price with friendly service. I was really pleased we found and booked this hotel.

This building is quite old but has unique charm. To get into the property is quite difficult with the road works and the way the have there set up with parking onsite. The staff were nice enough. We did however order breakfast to have delivered between 7&730am as we had to leave early and 745am rolls around I had to go down to reception to ask about it for them to tell me the restaurant couldn’t do it. That would have been nice to know 45mins ago. Communication with your guests would be much appreciated. Do not think we will return guests unfortunately.

I really did have a good time staying here. Not my usual type of stay but glad I gave it a shot. The hotel and the area it’s located in is like a step back in time. And I do like a bit of history. Check in was easy. Staff friendly. Room was spacious with amenities that would have been more helpful to me if I wasn’t running about trying to see what Brisbane had to offer. Bed wasn’t the plush type but comfortable non the less. The entry to hotel has a little cafe which was nice to stop, gather thoughts, meet other visitors and get some insight. Close to main downtown area of city and botanical gardens. Loads of different Asian restaurants in area, good for the later night munchies, and even a historic cinema a stones throw away. I’d stay there again.

The room here was so large compared to others! It was right in the heart of the city, but very peaceful. I love the charm of this older building - it's worth the stay just to see the teapots featured in the wall. Lovely staff and the cafe on the ground floor had delicious food and coffee. I would definitely stay here again.

We were shocked to find our apartment had not been cleaned at all, except for clean sheets & towels, and as we did not arrive until 7:30pm they can't use the excuse of not having time in between guests.The carpet was very stained and obviously had not been vacuumed as there were crisps around the couch. The bathroom bench and tap had not even been wiped over. When I asked for a cloth such as Chux they don't even have them and said to use a facewasher. I had some some wet wipes and went over it all. Even the toilet had not been properly cleaned. The shower had someone elses hair in the corner and the bathroom wall and floor tiles have not been mopped for sometime I'd say. I used a wet handtowel and the difference was amazing. We always found the place quite charming but not this time, it is all getting shabby and definitely in need of some attention. We will not be returning there and found another venue just 5 minutes further down the street where we will stay next time.

The aircon noise was terrible, sounded like a very noisy fridge and had a loud clunk when it turned off and it kept going on and off all night. Had to speak to 3 different people at reception before anyone seemed to care. Maintenance person could identify any problem. Receptions solution was to turn the system off overnight. The shower lacked any pressure, the shower head was a circle with a wide hole in the middle, It was a very very slow process rinsing shampoo. Floor 2 rooms have 3 stairs from entry and bathroom level to the bed and sitting area. Not good for anyone with mobility issues. The location of the hotel is very central, the rooms are very spacious and easy walking to botanical garden, ferries, shopping and food
