Lovely old hotel in the heart of old town Bruges right along one of the historic canals. Unfortunately, it was very warm while we were there and they did not have air conditioning in the rooms.

Choose another option. We were very disappointed with this choice, mostly because the proprietor/manager was extremely unfriendly and the rooms sub-par. I was swayed by the positive reviews which, in my opinion, are not warranted. The manager actually had the audacity to scold me for not contacting him sooner when our bus was late. They did not provide us with a Wi-Fi code and told me I should have gone on a scavenger hunt to find it. Further, there is no a/c and it is extremely hot in the rooms. There are no screens on the windows so when we opened the windows to cool the room down, many mosquitos came in. Poor planning. Every question posed at the desk was met with an attitude of “why are you bothering me”….To top it off, the room was very small, with low end provisions (not even coffee or hot water for a morning tea). In sum, this hotel is overpriced, not deserving of the prior reviews. This is definitely a 2 star hotel.

The Bryghia Hotel is a very nice, small hotel in a somewhat quiet area of Brugge. A very nice host will be receiving you, assisting and helping with questions you may have. It is excellent to stay for a few days while visiting the city. Parking your car closeby can be a nightmare; the hotel is offering parking boxes for €20 a night, at 5 min walking distance. Breakfast is small, but nice and certainly sufficient.

The hotel is well located and the managers are very polite. The room was big enough so the bathroom. The common spaces have carpets but fortunately there is parquet into the room. The breakfast was good and the private parking spot was easy to reach.

Hotel gerund door vader & zoon, is mooi gelegen tussen de grachten ruim 5 minuten lopen vd Gr. markt. We hadden de kamer boven de receptie aan de voorkant prachtig uitzicht op klein pleintje. Wel vaak “genoten“ van de kerkklokken en 21u is 57 slagen? 2 van de 3 nachten ca. 5.30 uur wakker geworden van het met veel geweld legen van vuilniscontainers. Gelukkig was het niet al te warm buiten want we moesten de ramen voor frisse lucht openhouden. Ramen dicht was geen optie. Geen airco is een groot gemis. Het ontbijt was perfect geregeld. Wifi /tv werkte prima. Minibar was enkel water maar prima voor ons. Kamer zelf oogde wat klein t.o.v. de boekingsfoto's. Badkamer was goed maar wel wat gedateerd.

Excellent location in central Bruges and owners were welcoming and most helpful. Lovely small hotel in historic building. Unfortunately car parking arrangements were not as advertised, I booked this hotel specifically as ‘on site parking was available’.

Schimmel in de badkamer, wasbak verstopt. Te harde matrassen. Volgens ons voor het laatst geupdate in de negentiger jaren. De föhn en telefoon komen in ieder geval uit deze periode, gezien de verkleuring. Kortom ligging perfect, accommodatie is aan een renovatie toe.

Very happy and helpful staff. Excellent location. The hotel is very close to the centre without being noisy or disruptive. We also had a view of the canal from our room which was a nice touch. Everything was very clean and comfortable. Would stay again if we are in Bruges, and would recommend to others.

Fab hotel! Room was spotless and had everything you need. Free chocolates as a welcome gift was an added bonus! Great location - safe and quiet area but easy walking distance to the centre. The owner was super lovely!

Thank you so much for a wonderful stay. Couldn’t have asked for better. The staff were very friendly and helpful, amazing customer service and rooms cleaned daily with all toiletries replaced. The beds were quite comfortable too. The hotel is in a great location without being too noisy and has lots of amenities nearby. I would definitely recommend.

Ich reise sehr viel und das Hotel Bryghia ist eins der besten Hotels, die ich kenne. Ein kleines familiäres Hotel mit heimeliger Atmosphäre, alles blitzsauber und gemütlich. Das Bryghia liegt in sehr ruhiger Umgebung und ist trotzdem nur 5 Minuten vom Markt und den Geschäften entfernt. Das Hotel ist familiengeführt, die Besitzer sind supernett und ich hatte schon beim check-in das Gefühl "gute Freunde zu besuchen". Während des Aufenthalts ergaben sich sehr gute Gespräche jenseits der touristischen Themen und als wir abfuhren, wurden wir wie Freunde verabschiedet. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und werden ganz sicher wiederkommen. Ich habe das Bryghia bereits an Freunde weiterempfohlen. Vielen Dank an Steven und Familie, wir freuen uns auf ein Wiedersehen!

Hotel antigo bem conservado. Limpeza ok, ar condicionado ok, camas excelentes, frigobar muito pequeno, banheiro sem chuveiro somente com banheira e ducha, boa localização próximo a praça central. Solicitei late checkout mas não fui atendido, porém permitiram deixar as malas para retirar posteriormente ao meu passeio.

We had a very enjoyable stay at Bryghia Hotel. It was situated in a quiet location by the canal, and everywhere was easy to get to on foot. We were given a warm welcome by the host and provided with local information. The room was a good size and comfortable. Highly recommended and would stay again if visiting Bruges.

Hotel's location is very convenient for a quick walk to the Market Square and other attractions. Room was advertised as a romantic room with river view but there was nothing special about the room besides the big bed. On the second night we noticed water on the floor beside the bed which was coming through the wall behind the bed. When hotel was told we were asked to go back to the room and open the windows. Hotel is clean and quiet.

Steve was readily available to give advice & directions & even booked restaurants for us with it being a busy Xmas period. While the room are small they have everything you need including a safe & a fridge. The shower was good with plenty of hot water & breakfast albeit continental gave us a great start to the day. Would definitely book again.

The concierge was great and really friendly. Always happy to have a chat with us and help us find great places in the city. The hotel itself was lovely and was a convenient short walk into the city centre. Overall we had a great time here and would gladly come back again.

This is an amazing property full of history. The location is awesome along the canal and along the famous and magical Christmas Wintergloed path. Steven and his dad, Johan are fantastic hosts making sure your stay is flawless. We would definitely recommend staying at this lovely hotel.

Lovely hotel in a location local to the centre (about a 6min walk). The hotel has as lovely ambience & Steve & his team looked after us really well. Steve was readily available to give advice & directions & even booked restaurants for us with it being a busy Xmas period. While the room are small they have everything you need including a safe & a fridge. The shower was good with plenty of hot water & breakfast albeit continental gave us a great start to the day. Would definitely book again.

Ich reise sehr viel und das Hotel Bryghia ist eins der besten Hotels, die ich kenne. Ein kleines familiäres Hotel mit heimeliger Atmosphäre, alles blitzsauber und gemütlich. Das Bryghia liegt in sehr ruhiger Umgebung und ist trotzdem nur 5 Minuten vom Markt und den Geschäften entfernt. Das Hotel ist familiengeführt, die Besitzer sind supernett und ich hatte schon beim check-in das Gefühl "gute Freunde zu besuchen". Während des Aufenthalts ergaben sich sehr gute Gespräche jenseits der touristischen Themen und als wir abfuhren, wurden wir wie Freunde verabschiedet. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und werden ganz sicher wiederkommen. Ich habe das Bryghia bereits an Freunde weiterempfohlen. Vielen Dank an Steven und Familie, wir freuen uns auf ein Wiedersehen!

We had a very enjoyable stay at Bryghia Hotel. It was situated in a quiet location by the canal, and everywhere was easy to get to on foot. We were given a warm welcome by the host and provided with local information. The room was a good size and comfortable. Highly recommended and would stay again if visiting Bruges.

Very happy and helpful staff. Excellent location. The hotel is very close to the centre without being noisy or disruptive. We also had a view of the canal from our room which was a nice touch. Everything was very clean and comfortable. Would stay again if we are in Bruges, and would recommend to others.

The Bryghia Hotel is a very nice, small hotel in a somewhat quiet area of Brugge. A very nice host will be receiving you, assisting and helping with questions you may have. It is excellent to stay for a few days while visiting the city. Parking your car closeby can be a nightmare; the hotel is offering parking boxes for €20 a night, at 5 min walking distance. Breakfast is small, but nice and certainly sufficient.

The hotel is well located and the managers are very polite. The room was big enough so the bathroom. The common spaces have carpets but fortunately there is parquet into the room. The breakfast was good and the private parking spot was easy to reach.

My husband and I had a lovely stay here. The staff were very friendly and gave us lots of useful information on Bruges upon our arrival. Comfortable and clean rooms, and a lovely breakfast. Hotel is in a brilliant location - in a quiet and peaceful part of the city, but still at a walkable distance from the city centre. Overall we were very impressed, and would highly recommend this hotel.

Smallish room, but decent sized bathroom. Lots of little extra touches - tea/coffee/chocolates/ bathroom products. Lovely linen. Well situated within the town, easy walk to all of the main sights. Reception staff were very helpful and efficient. Continental breakfast - plenty of it!

This is the sort of hotel you want to keep to yourself because it is so lovely. An excellent location in the heart of Brugges. The staff couldn't be more helpful. The bed was large and extremely comfortable. Flatscreen TV with a lot of channels including some English ones. Fabulous bathroom. The only negative we found were the tea cups were very small so we bought a couple of cheap mugs as we do like our tea! Didn't try breakfast as I am never hungry in the mornings but I would expect it is good, judging by the rest of the hotel. Will definitely stay here again.

One of the nicest properties I’ve stayed in. Steve and his father weee friendly and ahad a good sense of humor. The hotel is super well located. I stayed for two weeks and would definitely stay there again! Excellent breakfast by the way.

Fantastic hotel, in a great location and easy walk to the centre (should be 5 mins but couple of nice bars en-route so took us considerably longer) the hotel has been recently renovated from top-to bottom and they've done a beautiful job of it, everywhere was spotless and it has a lovely feel about the place, which probably down to the owners being so friendly and making you welcome from the moment you step in. the bedrooms are really spacious, minimal but spot on and everything just works as it should do., We had the inclusive breakfast which was great, and the dining room is lovely. I don't tend to leave many reviews (above a star rating) but the owners deserve recognition for the great job they've done here - i really couldn't find any fault in it and look forward to coming back one day soon.

Look no further than this lovely little hotel. It's run by a great couple who will go out of their way to make sure you have a great stay. Very clean, 5 mins walk from the main square in quiet area. I don't normally do reviews but this hotel( and city ) deserves a good one. Excellent.
