早朝便で到着、レセプションが開いた時点で部屋の準備が整っていたのでかなり早めに通していただけてありがたかったです。住んでいる感覚で滞在できて、楽しかったです。中心地にも散歩気分です。ただ、プールは大変に小さく、画像は印象を歪めます。

Great central position. Room ( studio apartment) was acceptable for our needs, a bit outdated but clean. Kitchen was well equipped for simple meals with microwave and hot plates, no oven. We were on the 3rd floor and there was no lift, walking up the stairs with luggage or shopping was not ideal in the heat, the room was air conditioned but the hallways, stairwells and reception area was not. Safe private car parking.

The property website said the room had cable and it doesn't which didn't concern the Manager. Also we were on the second floor and the website doesn't mention there are no lifts.

My studio was good, clean and neat.. all amenities… absolutely loved it just The pillow was not good. The pool was very small and too deep not for kids and family. I was disappointed with this. The lady at the reception was helpful. The shops , restaurants and esplanade was about 10 minutes walk. No restaurant near to the hotel. It’s a bit quiet place. Overall okay

This is a great value apartment in a convenient location close to the esplanade. The apartment was spacious, comfortable and had everthing we needed - a well stocked kitchen, washer/dryer, air-con and a big comfortable bed. Free parking too - will definitely book again when we return to Cairns

issues with pool pump let this place down. Pool extremely green and did not look healthy to swim in. Stayed three nights and was not comfortable using the pool. Otherwise the place is good. Good location & good rooms.

The cleanliness of the property was a 10 out of 10. The unit we stayed in was a little outdated and there was no view but this did not matter as we were so close to everything. The staff were lovely and I’d definitely stay here again.

In general I just found it dingy, cupboards smelt like mould, things were always leaking in the bathroom leaving puddles on the floor but could never figure out form where. Decorator pillows had large disgusting stains on them. Couch was so horribly stained I wouldn’t sit on it.

Shower recess very strong smell of Demestos (Bleach). Shower recess extremely slippery and dangerous. Mould on wall and ceiling. Plastic garbage bin on kitchen floor without lid. Rug in centre of lounge floor very dirty and poorly maintained. Had to request washing up requisites - not supplied in room on arrival.

Awesome location, generous size room. Also, didn’t really appreciate the strict rules about taking your own rubbish downstairs at the end of the stay. It’s fine that there was no cleaning during stay but couldn’t the person cleaning the room at the end of the stay put the rubbish out? Overall I though the room was good value for money - except the bathroom was not just mouldy (the tile and shower floor and walls) but there was a strange “vacuum” created when in shower stall itself which resulted in the shower curtain being sucked toward you and against your body. I tried leaving the bathroom door open, closed, fan on, fan off - nothing worked. This could have been resolved with a proper, heavier, shower curtain and not just a flimsy nylon liner. Again, good value for money, just be aware of tiny mouldy bathroom.

This hotel was chosen on location, and family previous stays. Sadly there wasn’t much that impressed me. The reception staff was less than friendly, our room was on the 3rd floor, no lift. The ceiling fans worked on 3 and 1. Wasn’t hot enough to use air con, which was to be serviced during our stay. The amount of dust under the bed was incredible, along with a packet of chips and bar of soap. The bathroom was dated and the shower dripped continuously and the shower curtain needed something to hold it from draping us. The dryer kept cutting out/overheating after about 10mins. The good side to our stay was the location, walking distance to the shops and esplanade and the pool was a lovely place.

Easily checked in upon arrival before 12:00 noon, instead of waiting till 2:00pm. The apartment was clean, neat, tidy, peaceful and safe with appropriate kitchen utensils provided for self-cooking and also laundry washing machine and dryer. Will stay there in future.

positive: - friendly - free beach towels, washing powder, washing machine and dryer were inside our apartment - quiet location but only 10-15 min walk to all the shops, restaurants, Esplanade, cafés. 20min easy walk to Marina negative: - apartment smelled very moldy, ceiling looked moldy, couch was wet and moldy - furniture, kitchen utensils very old and partially dirty - bathroom seemed to have been renewed at some point but still looked quite used - generally the entire apartment was not properly cleaned - we were happy that at least the bed seemed clean Honestly, we only accepted the stay because we were out on tours the entire 2-3 days and would come back to sleep. My room was adjacent to the common & pool area. The windows and walls are very sound transparent. There was a lot of disruption from that area in the afternoons and evenings There was construction happening in the room above, all day and late into the evening (11 PM at least). Hammering, impact drills, scrapping of heavy objects across the floor (my ceiling), etc. There's also a lot of road noise - Lake St is one of the main roads in Cairns. From the hotels.com listing I got the impression this would be a quiet, peaceful hotel. It was pretty much the opposite.

I booked two rooms one was very modern, the other was suck in the 70's, found that very strange to say the least we were just one room apart so all good in the modern room, I got the old room, and I wasn't impressed at all, tattered curtains falling off the rail, short on items in kitchen, tile broke in shower just a very tired room apart from the kitchen that had been updated, I just don't think I had value for money, especially the deals that are being offered just now for Cairns, anyway I live and learn

The apartment was spacious and quiet and reasonably close to the city. It was dated and needed quite a bit of maintenance. Some of these issues were dealt with straight away when we pointed them out. I didn't realise that there wasn't a lift and we were on the top floor. We are an older couple and found the stairs difficult to manage with our suitcases.

Apartment itself was great, good location with a pool. Air conditioning worked and kept entire room cool. Bathroom standard, did the job, only complaint was the bed was a bit uncomfortable as it was 2 twin beds pushed together, so middle wasnt great on the back. In general though, room was fine, and would stay here again

Thank you for making my first visit to Cairns safe and comfortable. Sam and Irene were very gracious hosts, assisting with early check-in and early check-out, directions and recommendations. Quaint, old school charm. The location is ideal and walking distance to everything, from the esplanade and CBD, to the marina and Central Station. Tour pick ups were conveniently located at the hotel or the Novotel 2 blocks away. I never felt unsafe walking to/from rhe hotel, no matter the hour. The room was spacious and comfortable, albeit, no lift, so you'll have to carry your bags. The kitchen was well appointed and the washer and dryer were a blessing.The pool is tranquil for an evenings swim after a long day, although the flying foxes were quite the surprise at dusk. If I do return to Cairns, I will likely book again.

No staff available 24 hours. No change of bedding or towels like hotels. Very old building and there were open spaces on the wooden floor. For a week stay we then have to buy soap. No other stuff available like shower lotions shampoo, cream . They asked to use the laundry with payment. Probably this place is for monthly stays not for holidays for tourists.

My stay at Cascade Gardens was a little disappointing. The location looks good on paper, since it is just 15-20 minutes by walking from the Esplanade and the Marina, but if you go in the opposite direction, just walking around the area does not feel safe at all, especially at night. There was a bit of a mix up at check in but management was easy to contact and responded quickly. The 1-bedroom apartment was perfect for our stay in Cairns with our daughter. The room was clean and the dishes provided were great for meals and snacks. Limited desk hours were a little frustrating, but the staff was pleasant and helpful when available. It felt more like an apartment than a hotel, which for us was perfect as we could spread out and feel “at home”. The pool area was small, but clean and refreshing after a day of being out and about in the heat and humidity.

Easily checked in upon arrival before 12:00 noon, instead of waiting till 2:00pm. The apartment was clean, neat, tidy, peaceful and safe with appropriate kitchen utensils provided for self-cooking and also laundry washing machine and dryer. Will stay there in future.

The stay was disappointing. One of the key reason for selecting this property was because of daily housekeeping being available (pic attached). However, we were informed through a piece of paper (on check-in) that there is no daily housekeeping (available at additional cost). The same piece of paper added that garbage needed to be cleared from the room at the end of stay. We were staying for 9 nights. If not, additional cost will be charged. There is a one-time housekeeping after 6 days. All these were not made known on Hotels.com app. There are probably other inaccuracies and non-transparent practices which we were fortunate not to have encountered. (noted hotel.com is unable to accept negative feedback email reply - have posted my review in google instead. thank you)

Thank you for making my first visit to Cairns safe and comfortable. Sam and Irene were very gracious hosts, assisting with early check-in and early check-out, directions and recommendations. Quaint, old school charm. The location is ideal and walking distance to everything, from the esplanade and CBD, to the marina and Central Station. Tour pick ups were conveniently located at the hotel or the Novotel 2 blocks away. I never felt unsafe walking to/from rhe hotel, no matter the hour. The room was spacious and comfortable, albeit, no lift, so you'll have to carry your bags. This is a great value apartment in a convenient location close to the esplanade. The apartment was spacious, comfortable and had everthing we needed - a well stocked kitchen, washer/dryer, air-con and a big comfortable bed. Free parking too - will definitely book again when we return to Cairns

My studio was good, clean and neat.. all amenities… absolutely loved it just The pillow was not good. The pool was very small and too deep not for kids and family. I was disappointed with this. The lady at the reception was helpful. The shops , restaurants and esplanade was about 10 minutes walk. No restaurant near to the hotel. It’s a bit quiet place. Overall okay

Stayed in room 303. Quite run down with paint falling off roof. The bed was very hard- quite uncomfortable for us and the pillows weren't good. Went and bought our own. Check in was smooth though and reception guy seems nice. Parking was easy and close to food.

Cairns is beautiful and so is Cascade Garden. Do not expect it to be very grand or great, photos are a bit deceptive. What you get is a reasonably decent property to stay on. The Property overall is a bit dated and needs a lot of refurbishment. Linen are clean but we had stains on ours. Room could be kept a bit more clean. There was mould on walls and corners. We understand the climate to be moist and area full of vegetation but interiors can be taken care of. Rooms are generous in size and can fit a family of 4 easily. Extra bed provided was really nice. Kitchen is well equipped and good. The room had washing machine and dryer too both of which were very old and an upgrade would be appreciated. The balcony of the room is just for namesake too small to even enter. AC were working but at a fix temperature and remotes of both the AC's were useless. We did ask the desk to get it checked but nothing happened. Cascade is still a very good property to stay , as it is located centrally is small without too much crowd around or in it. It has a free parking available for guests. all the attractions in cairns and shopping area are at walkdown distance. So overall it is good, they need to improve a bit for the price they charge and if they want to be the way they are please reduce the prices to justify the same.
