This was a beautiful hotel with friendly and helpful staff. It was clean and beautifully decorated.There were free activities including a great walking tour. It was a quiet place to return to after a day of exploring. Highly recommend!

A beautiful gem to stay at in Chiang Mai. The hotel is super charming with a very authentic feel. The staff are so amazing. The breakfast is really delicious especially the sticky rice. Service at breakfast is fabulous. The pool is lovely. And the pool staff are also incredible. The over 200 year old tamarind tree in the center of the hotel is so amazing. The only thing that bothered me were the dogs barking from the neighbors property. Other than that, a fabulous stay.

위치가 올드타운 중심이라 편했습니다. 오래된 건물이라 눅눅하긴 했지만 청소는 깨끗했습니다. 수영장이 공시중이라 아쉬웠습니다. 조식에 쌀국수가 있으면 더 좋았을 것입니다. 직원들 친절합니다.

Sus instalaciones son excelentes, con jardines amplios, una piscina que ofrece un respiro al calor sofocante (mayo). El personal muy atento. El desayuno muy completo. Su ubicación privilegiada en el centro de la ciudad vieja de Chiang Mai es óptima para visitar los principales Wats y exlplorar la ciudad.

We had a lovely 5 day stay at Tansrind Village. A lovely traditional oasis of calm in a busy city. Thoughtfully designed and planted. Comfortable rooms and a lovely restsurant catering to eastern and Western tastes. A nice large pool area and great spa. Lovely staff always eager to help . I would definitely stay here again.

My room was like a box with outside lights on throughout the night. Barely slept for 4 nights. I am very disappointed. There are properties around that I have stayed before and thoroughly enjoyed with same access to the market. Breakfast buffet Meh. There is no gym. Pool is small and is where they serve breakfast from 7AM to 10 Am and the pool opens at 7 AM so could not swim either while people have breakfast around you. Ridiculous really. I booked this Hotel based on the previous reviews, that was blunder. For less money I could have stayed at Le Meridian which BTW is a phenomenal hotel. Oh BTW the staff was amazing 5 star for them. But my room was horrible.

Original Royal family property. In the old Thai style. Nice settling in the centre. Staff and breakfast very good. Daily activities which was an added bonus. Only feedback, which is minor, a coffee machine is often part of a modern service offering. Good eco initiatives. Thank you Tamarind Hotel Team.

Charming Oasis with a Few Flaws Tamarind Village is a beautiful and serene hotel in the heart of Chiang Mai. The staff is incredibly kind and welcoming, the location is perfect, and the restaurant serves absolutely delicious food. The design and atmosphere make it a truly special place. However, our room’s AC didn’t cool properly, which made sleeping a bit uncomfortable, and the shower tended to overflow, requiring time between uses. The hotel looks amazing, however the room was too dark, and unfortunately our air con did not work properly and pn our last night completely broken. However, the staff was so kind and moved us to the new room and this room was amazing with balcony and more light. The other thing was the food - not so many options for vegan. But overall lovely hotel and very friendly staff.

It is an eco-friendly accommodation, but there are ants, raccoons and lizards. I was assigned to a room on the first floor and used a suite. It was a war with mosquitoes because it was the rainy season, but it was okay, but I can't go there twice.

I absolutely fell in love with this hotel. The staff are incredible, the restaurant food is delicious, and the activities on offer are great. Room is very clean and cute. The location is premium — super central — and the Sunday market around the hotel is a must-see. I can’t recommend it enough!

This is our second visit to Tamarind. We would never consider anywhere else in Chiangmai. It is a tranquil space.beautiful pool area. Great choice at breakfast. Rooms are cool and pristine. Gardens are lush and tropical and of course staff are very friendly and helpful. Top marks.

夫とバンコクに赴任している息子との３人で宿泊しました。部屋自体は広くはありませんが、清潔で静かで趣きのある素敵なホテルでした。スタッフも👌でした。プールサイドでの朝食も美味しく頂きました。チェンマイに行った時はまた泊まりたいです。ターペー門の中で小さなお寺が点在していて、静かな場所です。日曜は目の前の道路でナイトバザールが開くようです。

Struttura di grande fascino in stile Lanna nel cuore del centro storico di Chiang Mai. Le attività culturali offerte aumentano il legame con la cultura locale. Il personale è gentilissimo e il ristorante merita una visita anche se non si è clienti dell’hotel. Ottima anche la colazione. Essendo un boutique hotel e non una struttura di catena aspettatevi qualche piccola scomodità, ad esempio assenza di ascensore (al massimo per una camera al primo piano) oppure tamarind suite su diversi livelli nella mansarda quindi con gradini tra i vari ambienti e nel bagno. Basta saperlo e va benissimo. Comodissimo anche per muoversi a piedi.

Struttura di grande fascino in stile Lanna nel cuore del centro storico di Chiang Mai. Le attività culturali offerte aumentano il legame con la cultura locale. This is a beautiful property with very attentive and helpful staff. My only concern is the level of noise from adjoining bars at the back of the property (4202/4203) with loud music going on until midnight making it difficult to sleep. When I complained, the reception were quick to move me and were vey apologetic.

Hôtel havre de paix au coeur de chang mai, jolie piscine, beaucoup de jasmins magnifiques, restaurant agréable mais chambres un peu sombres et decevantes pour le prix. Nous avions pris la suite et franchement un peu déçue, très sombre avec jolie terrasse mais mobilier pas très confortable et ensemble un peu viellot, nécessiterait un rafraichissement. vieille télévision dans un placard, pas de canapé confortable. Rapport qualité prix : beaucoup trop cher pour chang mai!

Tamarind is a beautiful property that is quiet and tucked away inside the Chiang Mai city center. Incredibly convenient to Sunday Market and many other restaurants and shops in the heart of the city. The staff could not be better - super friendly and extremely helpful. I was truly impressed by this property and especially the helpful staff.

On the check-out day, our flight was quite early in the morning (we should be in the airport before 5 AM). The staff arranged the taxi, and they even arranged breakfast boxes for us! Everything about this hotel is just fantastic.

I absolutely fell in love with this hotel. The staff are incredible, the restaurant food is delicious, and the activities on offer are great. Room is very clean and cute. The location is premium — super central — and the Sunday market around the hotel is a must-see. I can’t recommend it enough!

Central location in old Chiang Mai and at the same time such a respite from the street noise. Staff was amazing, great service, and the restaurant was spectacular. The Lanna style architecture of the buildings made it such an authentic experience. The only negative was that the hotel transport was quite expensive.

Excellent as always, i always stay here when in chiang mai. though this time i though it was not good, petty, to charge us at check out, we booked the best room they had, for a bag of potato and mango chips that we were told were complimentary with the room since they were on the entry table with the fruit… maybe we misunderstood that is was only the fresh fruit, but mango is a fruit and one person in my party was Thai and understands Thai clearly… lol… anyway… considering the high expense of the room they should have waived this since i told them we were clearly told it was complementary, unlike the mini bar, and not made me have to deal with paying $4 at check out - it was such a petty amount i paid it without any further protest but nevertheless, it is little things like this that cause bad reviews..i still gave a good review because it was the check out staff persons error and not the fault of the hotel in general - i am sure a manager would have corrected it but it was not even worth the time. My advice to the hotel staff is the to listen more to your loyal customers, especially if they are fluent in Thai.. one note, a customer next to me was complaining about the size of the rooms, they are not huge and that is the way most of the hotels are in the old city in chiang mai are - keep in mind it is a condensed area and the older buildings are from when people were shorter and did not bring so much luggage.

Sus instalaciones son excelentes, con jardines amplios, una piscina que ofrece un respiro al calor sofocante (mayo). El personal muy atento. El desayuno muy completo. Su ubicación privilegiada en el centro de la ciudad vieja de Chiang Mai es óptima para visitar los principales Wats y exlplorar la ciudad.

夫とバンコクに赴任している息子との３人で宿泊しました。部屋自体は広くはありませんが、清潔で静かで趣きのある素敵なホテルでした。スタッフも👌でした。プールサイドでの朝食も美味しく頂きました。チェンマイに行った時はまた泊まりたいです。ターペー門の中で小さなお寺が点在していて、静かな場所です。日曜は目の前の道路でナイトバザールが開くようです。

The hotel looks amazing, however the room was too dark, and unfortunately our air con did not work properly and pn our last night completely broken. However, the staff was so kind and moved us to the new room and this room was amazing with balcony and more light. The other thing was the food - not so many options for vegan. But overall lovely hotel and very friendly staff.

A beautiful gem to stay at in Chiang Mai. The hotel is super charming with a very authentic feel. The staff are so amazing. The breakfast is really delicious especially the sticky rice. Service at breakfast is fabulous. The pool is lovely. And the pool staff are also incredible. The over 200 year old tamarind tree in the center of the hotel is so amazing. The only thing that bothered me were the dogs barking from the neighbors property. Other than that, a fabulous stay.

My room was like a box with outside lights on throughout the night. Barely slept for 4 nights. I am very disappointed. There are properties around that I have stayed before and thoroughly enjoyed with same access to the market. Breakfast buffet Meh. There is no gym. Pool is small and is where they serve breakfast from 7AM to 10 Am and the pool opens at 7 AM so could not swim either while people have breakfast around you. Ridiculous really. I booked this Hotel based on the previous reviews, that was blunder. For less money I could have stayed at Le Meridian which BTW is a phenomenal hotel. Oh BTW the staff was amazing 5 star for them. But my room was horrible.

L’hôtel est super bien placé dans le centre historique et permet de partir à pied. Les chambres sont spacieuses et propres mais la nôtre était très sombre et du vis-à-vis donc impossible d’ouvrir les rideaux il y a une piscine qui manque deux places mais qui est très appréciable après une balade. L’hôtel est très cosy a beaucoup de charme. En revanche les prestations notamment au spa sont hors de prix par rapport à tout ce qui se pratique à côté. Et c’est dommage car on sort de l’hôtel pareil pour les boissons et les repas bien trop cher pour le pays.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Tamarind Village for so many reasons: a beautiful lush setting, wonderful friendly staff, and delicious authentic meals. Our room was clean, quiet, and close to the hotel’s amenities, their restaurant, pool, spa, and shop. It was also located perfectly inside the OLD City making walking easily accessible to much the city has to offer. Having stayed in Bangkok for the first part of our vacation, we didn’t feel we really experienced the richness of Thailand’s culture. However, Tamarind Village provided us with many niceties, such as providing tea upon arrival, robe and slippers, a city walk, and cultural pool side offerings. We will definitely recommend this hotel to others and appreciate those who traveled there before us for their glowing recommendations.
