We were very pleased with the Bougainvilla Barbados. It is relatively small, but had a lovely beach close to our room, beautiful pools and a swim up bar. We enjoyed the restaurant for lunch and dinner. I would highly recommend this beautiful hotel and it was reasonably priced.

The staff were wonderful - very friendly and always willing to help if needed, great advice on areas of the island to be seen. The hotel was beautiful, rooms were clean and updated. We ate breakfast almost everyday at the restaurant onsite Calabash, they had a full english breakfast, french toast and omelets that were delicious. The swim up bar was fun and the other pool was great as well, with waterfalls and beautful flowers all around. The beach had plenty of chairs and umbrellas, the staff will bring you anything you need, was very clean and well kept. Would definitely recommend, beautiful place and always felt safe when walking around, day or night.

The beach was excellent. There were always enough chairs and umbrellas even though we were there during high season (Dec26-Jan1st). The main improvement they could make is to increase the number of cooks or cooking infrastructure. At lunch, we had to wait 1.75 hours for food after ordering. Getting food during the day is never under a 30 - 45 minute wait. The staff are great and they have adequate servers, they just need to speed up the delivery. The rooms are great, the views are excellent, the staff is wonderful, they have self service laundry as well. I would recommend this hotel.

This was a small well kept facility. The beach was clean and the staff were very friendly. They had a nice gym, free ping pong, and free use of kayaks and paddleboards. Staff would help you use the kayaks and paddle boards. Some of the showers had lukewarm water, the restaurant was so so, with slow service. Good happy hours specials for those that like alcohol. Overall this was a great facility.

I very much enjoyed my stay at Bougainvillea. Very friendly staff and great service in a convenient location. The spacious room offered separate bed and living room with a kitchenette and a balcony with view to the ocean. Good service at the beach with multiple water sport options. After a week of stay I feel wonderfully relaxed and will certainly consider to come back.

Wonderful hotel in a great location on the south coast of Barbados. Calabash restaurant has great food, and the hotel has two lovely pools (one adults only, complete with in-pool bar seats for the pool bar).

Positives are the gym, best hotel I’ve used in ages. Totally comprehensive range of different equipment. Big rooms, nice kitchen in them. Negatives, staff can be a bit hit and miss, some care some don’t. Not enough beds around pool. Beach area is a bit rougher than other areas on the island. I did have a good time overall.

This hotel is really lovely ... nice setting right on the beach ... lovely pool. Room was spotless clean. I give this hotel 10 out of 10 only downside is there isn't much within walking distance ie restaurants/shops. But a lovely spot to relax on the beach@

We had an overall great time, especially thanks to the kind staff. Cleanliness of furniture in room wasn’t great (large stains on couch and chairs) and I wish there were more lounge chairs around the pool area, but it was still relaxing and a fun time.

This was our fourth time staying at Bougainvillea. We always return for so many reasons. The friendly staff from front desk to every employee we come in contact with. The overall cleanliness of this resort. The quiet relaxed atmosphere.

I travel to Barbados every year and never stayed at this hotel. I have to say that the hospitality at this hotel is beyond excellence the only complaint I have is the fact that for me as a solo traveler I did not like the idea of my terrace facing someone else’s…they can literally look into my room from their room. The room was always cleaned and well maintained. Other than this, I absolutely loved this hotel and would t recommend it!

Other than needing a tiny bit of a touch up here in there in the room, our stay at Bougainvillea couldn't have been any better. Great location to explore the island from, breakfast with a view, incredible service from all staff members... I really can't fault it at all. I'd go back in a heartbeat.

The room we were assigned was not cleaned from the previous guest. They did provide us with another room, but we did not receive the king bed with an ocean view, we got two double beds with a pool view. The alternative room was cleaned. Both rooms plus our friend’s room were dated. The rooms need a refresh. I would give this a two star rating for a five star price. The grounds and the beach are nice.

The hotel is a bit dated, however the lobby is spacious and beautiful. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The Concierge staff was also very helpful. The room I had was very large with a kitchen and a large balcony with an excellent view of the beach and ocean. The room was very clean and serviced daily. From the hotel you can walk along the beach for about a half a mile. I did not eat at the hotel, so I can't comment on that aspect. I would have no hesitation staying here again.

The property is beautifully landscaped, right on the water with a Caribbean feel. Staff, especially the front desk staff, were extremely helpful and accommodating and were, cheerful, friendly and polite. The deluxe suite we had was large and nicely furnished and we loved sitting out on the full size patio. Would definitely go back again!

The property, rooms and facilities are all excellent and very good value. If you don't go for the all inclusive food package then any other decent restaurants are approx 15 - 30 minutes walk away. Only minor criticism of our room was that it was very dark and you needn't to have lights on the whole time

I went in June and the ocean water is dark brown and you can't swim in it. If i had known i wouldn't have stayed here. I think its an issue year round everywhere in the south of the island. I would check before going tbh. The hotel itself is nice, my room was excellent and new. The beds are too soft and the pillows were horrible. The gym is big and nice. The restaurant's food is good. I would skip the one next door, Deia. Its a little too kid friendly. Parents just let there kids scream and act crazy in the pool, so i never went in it or chilled near it. Its not the type of place i would stay if traveling solo.

We absolutely loved staying here. The entire staff was incredibly nice and welcoming. They helped us with any questions about where to visit and food options. We specifically wanted to shout a thank you to the bartenders Jose, Vivian and Joshua for their wonderful hospitality. This was a trip to remember and we will definitely be visiting again!

The beachfront is phenomenal if you’re an ocean lover. The property is pretty and beds are comfy. The friendliness and welcoming from the staff was mediocre. Some were great and some were meh. Overall though a lovely first experience in Barbados.

The grounds are beautiful, but the service is lacking. They are very understaffed. While, the staff was typically professional. I would not describe them as engaging. Calabash is average food at best, and the staff gets overwhelmed very easy. The food takes forever. We did have a wonderful time in Barbados in general and did not spend much time at the resort. The beach was almost always too rough at the resort, but the morning that we left, it was beautiful and flat. It is a smaller resort and not so crowded which is nice. Room cleaning service was great and always done.

Very friendly front desk reception and bellmen. We so appreciated the visitor lounge to change to go to beach prior to room being ready. Equally convenient after check out , we used the showers before leaving to airport. A wonderful plus! We fully enjoyed the restaurants on site. Great value and delicious!

Very clean and quiet boutique resort with good amenities; house keeping was fantastic and very diligent and kind. Front desk service was mixed, some great and one or two staff seemed were poor -attitude, didn’t ask how our stay was when checking out, and there was an issue with arranging a taxi after confirming with them several times the need and time. Acted surprised when I asked and indicated it was late and we had to get to the airport after many other had been picked up already. Also, similar experience at the restaurant which was also periodically very slow - waited 2 hrs for our meal one night. My wife has celiac/ gluten allergy and was given food with gluten the first 2 days (glutinous bread under eggs) which she didn’t realize until getting quite sick... Suggest better training as some of the staff didn’t seem familiar even though the menus have gluten indicators listed and we stressed the need for it to be gluten free and to avoid contamination … overall a great resort but these are important aspects and should be addressed by management.

This hotel is really lovely ... nice setting right on the beach ... lovely pool. Room was spotless clean. I give this hotel 10 out of 10 only downside is there isn't much within walking distance ie restaurants/shops. But a lovely spot to relax on the beach@

Great hotel on the south coast, a little isolated with nearest bars and restaurants being 30 min walk or short car ride away. Staff very friendly, rooms are a good size. Had lunch a few times in the restaurant and was always good. Being the South coast be prepared for some waves but beach in front of the hotel is lovely

Wonderful beach, pool, activities and service. Great location that is quiet and beautiful. Everything about this resort was wonderful. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a relaxing vacation.

Lovely property and friendly, helpful staff. Very clean and well maintained. We had a junior suite which included a full kitchen. Food at on site restaurant was excellent. Beach is spectacular with surf for those who enjoy an active swimming experience. Walking distance to Gap Restaurants - but route has not great sidewalks and not well lit after dark, so you have to be careful.

Loved this property so much we were practically in tears when it was time to leave! The beach was beautiful and the location was perfect for all activities. Nothing took longer than a 10-15 taxi ride. Easily accessible for everything. Staff was so friendly and the rooms were immaculate. 10/10 would recommend!

Beautiful hotel on a gorgeous beach. Great location near Oistins and the Gap. The stuff is very friendly. It's not a party hotel you can really relax and soak the beautiful nature of Barbados. If you feel like partying its just few minutes drive with the fun bus or a taxi.

Wonderful hotel in a great location on the south coast of Barbados. Calabash restaurant has great food, and the hotel has two lovely pools (one adults only, complete with in-pool bar seats for the pool bar).

The property was lovely and our room was great however it was a bit out of the way/secluded and you had to walk a fair distance along a road that had some dark areas to get to a ZR bus stop. Also the ocean was quite choppy in front of the property. We love to swim in the ocean but needed to walk up to Sandals area to swim as they have a breakwater. Still wasn’t totally calm there either.
The property was lovely and our room was great however it was a bit out of the way/secluded and you had to walk a fair distance along a road that had some dark areas to get to a ZR bus stop. Beautiful room, gorgeous views, nice amenities, lots of free activities, SOOOOOO CLEAN. The only thing that needed an upgrade was the restaurants. We really didn’t like anything we ate there for the entire week and we ate in the hotel at least once a day.

It was beautiful with the flowers and waterfall and right on the beach. The food at the restaurant was just average, they also need a lot more food options or another restaurant on the property. The food options were not great.

Loved this hotel! Everyone is extremely nice and helpful. Very very clean! The 2 restaurants didn’t have a huge menu and were a little pricey, but food was good. Not within walking distance of things to do, we used a taxi/uber everytime we left the property.

The beach was excellent. There were always enough chairs and umbrellas even though we were there during high season (Dec26-Jan1st). The main improvement they could make is to increase the number of cooks or cooking infrastructure. At lunch, we had to wait 1.75 hours for food after ordering. Getting food during the day is never under a 30 - 45 minute wait. The staff are great and they have adequate servers, they just need to speed up the delivery. The rooms are great, the views are excellent, the staff is wonderful, they have self service laundry as well. I would recommend this hotel.

The onsite restaurant is actually really terrific. The staff - all of them - are wonderful, friendly. The location is perfect - beautiful, restful. The spa has very reasonable prices and the staff their are fantastic. All around a wonderful vacation.

Hotel food quality was good but the service slow and disjointed. Tables not set up, either a fork or knife or spoon missing, coffee would arrive but no mugs. Generally poor service in the restaurant but friendly.

Room was clean but extremely hot and humid upon entering. AC took about 30 minutes to kick into cool and was very comfortable there forward. Pool bar was fun and relaxing. Staff was nice and informative. Great place to return

The resort delivered more than I expected! The grounds are more lovely than the photos reveal. We booked a suite that came with a small pool and waterfall off of the patio and a lovely view of the pool and ocean. The staff were kind and responsive. The bathrooms were updated and modern. The gift shop is small but well stocked! There was sargassum in the water but staff were removing it and it didn’t impede my walks along the beach. I was thrilled to call it my home away from home for Crop Over 2026.

The hotel is very nice and clean. The check in was not quite great, people at the desk not very helpful nor kind, but the rest of the staff during our stay there was really nice . They didn’t tell us anything but we discover the last day that we could borrow lots of gear. Kids room: careful you have to pay for everything. Two big issues with this hotel: seaweed and also we had a room that communicates with an other and we could hear absolutely everything from the neighbors. But still, the hotel was lovely, very clean pools. Would go again!

We visited Barbados for the first time to celebrate our wedding anniversary and loved everything about our stay at Bougainvillea. The beachfront location, service, amenities, location, etc. were all incredible. We used public transportation the whole time and were within a 10-15 minute ZR bus ride of almost every major point of interest we wanted to visit (the Oistins fish market, west coast beaches, catamaran launch sites, and fine restaurants). The hotel’s well-maintained beach, water activities, live entertainment, etc. made our whole stay here remarkable.
