I don’t know how they have the cheek to charge over 100 EUR per night for this place. Especially on a Thursday in September. When you finally find the entrance which is through a restaurant, you get a very curt welcome. The place is clean enough but desperately in need of some tlc. Holes in the doors, worn carpets, needs decorating. The worst bit was the shower, didn’t clip into the bracket, the bracket didn’t adjust, it may as well have been a hosepipe. Terrible water pressure but then the towels are so small and thin, even if you do manage to get wet, you can’t dry yourself with them anyway. There isn’t even anyone around to complain to. Never again.

We decided to stay in Cologne at the last minute. This is close to the train station but my GPS took us to the wrong place. The place is quite old and run down and just doesn’t feel very safe. The view of the Rhine is amazing and the location is good. That is all. I wouldn’t stay here again unless I couldn’t find anything else.

Het ligt prima, dicht bij het centrum en het station en aan de Rijnoever. De kamer was wel een beetje gedateerd.

Die Lage des Hotels ist optimal. Nicht einmal eine Straße trennt das Haus von dem sehr schön angelegten Rheinufer. Die Altstadt mit unzähligen gastronomischen Angeboten ist gleich nebenan. Praktisch ist es aber auch, gleich im Erdgeschoß des Hauses das Angebot zu nutzen: Ob Frühstück, Mittagessen, Eiscafé, Cocktails, Kölsch oder Halve Hahn - alles ist vorhanden. Das Personal ist sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Wer ein Zimmer mit Rheinblick erhält, darf täglich diese wunderbare Aussicht genießen.

Wenn man das Fenster offen lässt, hört man sehr viel Lärm, weil es natürlich sehr belebt ist am Rheinufer und vor dem Haus die Außengastronomie brummt. Die Fliegengitter an den Fenstern sind sehr löcherig und daher wirkungslos. Die Einrichtung ist recht abgenutzt. Aber wenn das Licht aus ist, sieht man das ja nicht mehr.

The accomodation id old, but clean. The reception people were all lovely, except the younger person. The older guys were most helpful. The elevator is carpetted and only fits 3 suitcases and a person at a time but it works well. Great location to everything you need. Rooms are small but super clean. We would stay here again.

It needs a remodeling. One thing was the crazy ugly interior, but it was old stains on the carpets and it smelled very bad. I think it was mold. Outside, in the dining area it was many mice. I was very close to get another hotel room but because if the expenses I stayed. I will never set my foot in this hotel again. Horrible is probably the closest I come to my experience. Heard to believe it’s ok to rent out something like this

SUPER location! We viewed the Rhein and famous bridge from our window. The room was small but incredibly clean and cozy--and QUIET, even though it faced the boardwalk with several restaurants. A 5-min walk from the Hauptbahnoff, Philharmonic, and two major museums--perfect! Staff were friendly and helpful. I'll definitely stay there again!

All personal were very efficient,friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean ,our view was excellant,.. i had reserved a double room for 2 with 2 twin beds,i was given a double occupancy with a single double bed... the hotel staff was able to accomodate with grace and efficiency. Highest praise for the desk clerk

The hotel was low cost and that is what you get, no frills, but it was clean and the cleaners were really friendly as were all the staff. No pressure to check out, location was excellent (I actually came back after checking out for lunch!) bed was very soft (some may not like that) but was very comfy. Overall a nice stay, just for one night. I couldn't say how it would be for longer.
The hotel was low cost and that is what you get, no frills, but it was clean and the cleaners were really friendly as were all the staff. No pressure to check out, location was excellent (I actually came back after checking out for lunch!) bed was very soft (some may not like that) but was very comfy. Overall a nice stay, just for one night. I couldn't say how it would be for longer.

Engagierte Mitarbeiter. Der Empfang war angenehm. Die Zimmer nicht mehr ganz zeitgemäß eingerichtet aber sauber. Minuspunkt sind die Matratzen, die irgendwie nicht aufs Bett passen. Man hat das Gefühl, jeden Moment aus dem Bett zu kullern

Loved this characterful hotel on the banks of the Rhine. Our room looked out on to the beautiful view of the river and was warm and cosy. The location was great, very close to restaurants, the main railway station, cathedral and other places of interest. The staff were helpful and courteous. Would have appreciated more choice at breakfast eg yoghurt, fruit, cereal.

This hotel was amazing. The view from the windows, the location and the price of the rooms make it a winner. Everything is walkable from this hotel and the staff was very kind and welcoming.

Excelente, el personal es super amigable y atento; olvidamos los tickets de nuestro viaje de regreso y los resguardaron; siempre nos apoyaron con consejos de que hacer. Muy buena ubicación a unos cuantos metros de la estación caminando, enfrente del Río Rin (con suerte puede tocar habitación con vista al río). SUPER location! We viewed the Rhein and famous bridge from our window. The room was small but incredibly clean and cozy--and QUIET, even though it faced the boardwalk with several restaurants. The guy who checked us in and out was suoer friendly..the rest of the staff were extremely rude and at the restaurant we were treated extremely badly and after a problem with our order were told "you should not come here if you cannot speak German" when I complained to the manager he was dismissive and accused us of being intoxicated which was not the case. Very upset after everywhere else was so friendly. We moved on to another bar where the owner was so disgusted at our treatment he offered to phone the hotel on our behalf and state that we were good people and far from drunk. I tried to be moved elsewhere but it was impossible so had to spend a final night feeling intimidated at this hotel. The hotel is fine but they need to address the problems with the restaurant staff. AVOID the restaurant at all costs...

All personal were very efficient,friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean ,our view was excellant,.. i had reserved a double room for 2 with 2 twin beds,i was given a double occupancy with a single double bed... the hotel staff was able to accomodate with grace and efficiency. Loved this characterful hotel on the banks of the Rhine. Our room looked out on to the beautiful view of the river and was warm and cosy. The location was great, very close to restaurants, the main railway station, cathedral and other places of interest. The staff were helpful and courteous. Would have appreciated more choice at breakfast eg yoghurt, fruit, cereal.

I don’t know how they have the cheek to charge over 100 EUR per night for this place. Especially on a Thursday in September. When you finally find the entrance which is through a restaurant, you get a very curt welcome. The place is clean enough but desperately in need of some tlc. Holes in the doors, worn carpets, needs decorating. The worst bit was the shower, didn’t clip into the bracket, the bracket didn’t adjust, it may as well have been a hosepipe. Terrible water pressure but then the towels are so small and thin, even if you do manage to get wet, you can’t dry yourself with them anyway. There isn’t even anyone around to complain to. Never again.

It needs a remodeling. One thing was the crazy ugly interior, but it was old stains on the carpets and it smelled very bad. I think it was mold. Outside, in the dining area it was many mice. I was very close to get another hotel room but because if the expenses I stayed. I will never set my foot in this hotel again. Horrible is probably the closest I come to my experience. Heard to believe it’s ok to rent out something like this

Avoid this hotel don't lose your money ! Our experience was disappointing The room was damp, unbearably hot, and there were spiders inside. We raised the issue immediately, but the way it was handled made the situation even worse. My wife is pregnant, so staying in those conditions was simply not reasonable for us. We ended up paying for another hotel just to feel comfortable and safe. Despite that, the hotel refused to refund even the affected night What disappointed me most was not only the condition of the room, but the lack of proper customer care afterwards. A hotel should understand that keeping the money from one night is not worth losing a customer’s trust completely Future guests should think carefully before booking here

The hotel is a bit dated but clean and functional. Comfy bed and nice shower. Bear in mind there's no air conditioning but a desk fan was provided. Great location opposite the river and easy walk to the attractions, 5 mins from the Cathedral and station.

Shower temperature changed all the time on its own. Also the water pressure in shower was bad. Taking a shower was not a nice experience. We stayed in this hotel when it was over 30 degrees Celsius - it's not a normal temperature in Germany I know, but the air quality was overall bad in the uppest room we had in this building. The staff was nice though we didn't interact that much.
