Excellent place to stay in the area. Buffet dinner was ok and it was the same food both nights for us. Breakfast was the same both mornings as well. Hotel was good, laundry service was handy, nightly fires was awesome - good place to sit and read a book or play games. Hotel is a bit dated but was very comfy.

Tom was very helpful at check-in. Beautiful lounges/reading areas with open fires. Unfortunately these were not vacuumed during our 2 night stay and became quite messy. This has to be the noisiest hotel I have stayed in. The doors do not seal properly and you can see the light around them. Needs to invest in acoustic panelling, and doors that fit properly.

Wonderful cozy common areas with fire places, couches and pool table. Comfortable rooms, friendly, helpful staff, nice food. Art gallery was a bonus for my mum who didn’t come hiking. We would definitely come back.

Arrived in an absolute blizzard so it was great to enter our lovely split level, warm and cosy room. Apart from the weather everything here was great. Excellent breakfast buffet, lovely dinner and very interesting gallery to wander through.

Great location just a short drive to the info centre and shuttle bus to the walks and Lake.Very friendly reception and easy access to our room from the carpark. Liked that the hotel was all under one roof - felt cosier than being in separate chalets. Our room was spacious and comfortable though the bathroom in need of refurbishment. Limited choice on the evening bar menu if you didn't want the buffet dinner but they were happy to modify the slider so it was gluten free. Enjoyed visiting the Art galleries adjacent to the hotel.

Common areas are modern and enjoyable. Staff and food in restaurant was lovely. Room was comfortable enough although when paying nearly $400 for one night I wouldn’t expect mould in my shower and on my bathroom ceiling.

We liked our recent stay at Cradle Mountain Hotel, getting to and from each walk was very convienient as the hotel is located in a great spot and the bus service from the visitor centre is excellent. The staff were all so kind and helpful, but we also found the room we were in to be quite dirty. The dinners and breakfasts were really yummy, but the lunches on offer needed to have more variety especially if you are doing long walks you don’t want to come back to burgers pretty much being the only option :)

Very over priced for what we received, our room was next to the walk way and lounge area, it was noisy and the shower was leaking the bathroom floor was always wet. We paid $866 for two nights the rooms were very basic for that price.

Had a room facing the woods and valley - a great view. Very comfortable but a little chilly until we asked for a couple of extra heaters for our two rooms, which were brought straight away. The bar menu dinner and extensive breakfast buffet were both fine for us four vegetarians.

The walls are sooo thin - you can literally hear anyone walk down the hallway, cough in the next room, open any door, flush the toilet, etc. I was kept up until past midnight because the rooms on either side of me had children running around / slamming doors. The staff are INCREDIBLE (and this isn't their fault), wish the hotel would invest in soundproofing considering the nightly rate.

Breakfast was good and property was nice and cozy overall an average stay. For the condition of the property, I felt it was way over priced. Few areas to improve - Mattress was so uncomforable, it just sank in as soon as I slept in. Floor board of the hotel room was very weak and made all sorts of squeeking noise even beating the sound of the TV. The TV and technology offered was quite poor. The TV could not be connected to apps or no smart options.

Absolutly nice place, lovely staff, cosy bistro and living rooms with fire places. Big but is that you hear every wisper from all neibous…it is built in such a cheap way, that really makes the experiance change. You wont be able to sleep longer than 7am as you will have people getting up early for hikes, every day.

The hotel is in a great spot - right on the doorstep of the national park. The art gallery is worth a look. There's good variety as part of the buffet breakfast, and the dinner menu did not disappoint. Staff were lovely and helpful, and the rooms were neat and clean. There are several communal lounges dotted about the property, lots of warm fireplaces, creating a nice ambiance on chilly winter nights. The property is modern, but the rooms are a little dated - a bit 90s in terms of decor. We very much enjoyed our stay, and would love to come back. I'd recommend this hotel to friends.

Special mention about Charlie at the front desk, was polite and nothing was too much trouble. The restaurant staff were always there to serve and once again nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely recommend this accommodation and restaurant and would absolutely stay there again.

Staff / conditions were excellent. I saw the general manager onsite so introduced myself and told him he was running a great team who looked after the guests extremely well. Clean, onsite dining, a short drive to the rangers station to catch a bus to the Lakes and walks. Tracks close to rooms. An overall excellent experience. Snowed, rained, sunny in one day - pack / wear appropriate clothing.

We wanted to trek Cradle Mountain for the first time, so being close to the mountain was important for us. This property is in very close proximity to Cradle Mountain hiking trails and we found it only a couple minute drive from Hotel to entrance to the national park, which was perfect.

Great location for park access and walks. High standard location. Good bed and shower. We had breakfast included which was hearty and a good start for our two walks - Dove Lake circuit and Dove Lake to Ronny crossing vis Crater Lake. Awesome!!

Comfortable stay whilst at Cradle Mountain. Given the time of year, room can get a bit cold. Staff were able to assist by providing an additional heater. Dinner options however can be improved. It's either a limited snack menu (sliders/chips etc) or a $65pp buffet. Buffet breakfast was great though.

The hotel is in a great spot - right on the doorstep of the national park. The art gallery is worth a look. There's good variety as part of the buffet breakfast, and the dinner menu did not disappoint. Staff were lovely and helpful, and the rooms were neat and clean. There are several communal lounges dotted about the property, lots of warm fireplaces, creating a nice ambiance on chilly winter nights. The property is modern, but the rooms are a little dated - a bit 90s in terms of decor. We very much enjoyed our stay, and would love to come back. I'd recommend this hotel to friends.

Had a room facing the woods and valley - a great view. Very comfortable but a little chilly until we asked for a couple of extra heaters for our two rooms, which were brought straight away. The bar menu dinner and extensive breakfast buffet were both fine for us four vegetarians.

If you're going to hike Cradle Mountain this is the place to stay. The complimentary breakfast was excellent and both dinners we ate there were wonderful.

The accommodation was so-so! The pillows were so high (the long ones, used more for display than comfort) it hurt my neck. When I asked Tom at the front desk for flat regular pillows, he said the hotel didn't have any! I then asked one of the room staff and they were only too happy to oblige!! The walls between the rooms are gyprock and do not have any insulation, so we could hear the LOUD TV in the next room till 11.30pm and the old man next door, probably hard-of-hearing, wasn't happy that we asked him to turn it down. DON'T even try the buffet dinner! For $85 per person it was absolutely terrible. Dry, unsavoury meat, tasteless veggies left too long under the heat lamps. The pumpkin soup was watery and had no flavour of pumpkin. The (foreign) serving staff were fantastic and friendly. Great place to stay, but eat out at Peppers Cradle Mountain, the food is a lot better there.

We liked our recent stay at Cradle Mountain Hotel, getting to and from each walk was very convienient as the hotel is located in a great spot and the bus service from the visitor centre is excellent. The staff were all so kind and helpful, but we also found the room we were in to be quite dirty. The dinners and breakfasts were really yummy, but the lunches on offer needed to have more variety especially if you are doing long walks you don’t want to come back to burgers pretty much being the only option :)

Arrived in an absolute blizzard so it was great to enter our lovely split level, warm and cosy room. Apart from the weather everything here was great. Excellent breakfast buffet, lovely dinner and very interesting gallery to wander through.

The hotel is very nice and welcoming. We had a nice spacious room which was split level with a nice view of the bushland. It was cosy and warm. The restaurant was very nice with delicious meals and great service. We appreciated the open fireplaces around the hotel, and enjoyed having an evening drink by the fire.

Excellent place to stay, very close to Cradle Mountain Visitors Center/Park entrance. Rooms were clean, interesting (mine had 2 levels...upstaris bed/bath, downstairs sitting room with excellent window viewing. Food was great. Breakfast was huge and amazing. Staff was very helpful, informed, and honest about their recommendations. there was FREE LAUNDRY...which, is particularly relevant on those rainy days. Maybe don't need a wash, but 30 mins in the dryer is a life saver! The store is full of tasteful gifts, and, if needed outerwear for those "unpredicted" days. Thank you to all! I'd definitely choose to stay here again. Now, if only they could have made the rain stop.

Cradle Mountain Hotel was excellent. All of the staff - reception, food/bar, dining, cleaners, housekeeping was amazing. They were so friendly, helpful, efficient, and professional. They would always greet us warmly every time we passed by them. Our room was spotless, warm and very comfortable. Thank you for the $10 voucher off our drinks each day) we had chosen to go green and no have our bedding and towels replaced). The breakfast was fantastic- fresh produce and a wide variety of hot and cold dishes. We would definitely stay at this hotel again next year. Thank you to all the staff for a wonderful stay.

I really enjoy my stay in this hotel. First it is so close to the cradle mountain visitor center, just 2 mins drive. Second the restaurant offer good breakfast and delicious dinner which exceeds my expectations, especially the hotel is inside the nation park area. Last but not least, the helpful and friendly staff. I would say every penny I spent in this hotel is worth it.

I really enjoy my stay in this hotel. First it is so close to the cradle mountain visitor center, just 2 mins drive. Second the restaurant offer good breakfast and delicious dinner which exceeds my expectations, especially the hotel is inside the nation park area. Last but not least, the helpful and friendly staff. I would say every penny I spent in this hotel is worth it.
