Wotton House

The grounds are beautiful, as is the building.We had a meal in the evening, which was good, the staff were great. The spa area was a bit worn but nice.

Beautiful hotel, clean, attentive staff, everything you need, definitely recommend and definitely will re-visit.

We stayed in a family room that was incredibly hot and stuffy. There was one small window that barely opened and it wasn’t even that hot of a day. They did provide one fan but it didn’t oscillate and we had 3 beds in the room. So no one slept. We have been here before and had a lovely room so I think the family rooms are just in a bad wing on the hotel. Which is such a shame because everything else about Wotton House is wonderful. The grounds are gorgeous, staff are friendly and it’s very clean. Breakfast was very nice too.

Wonderfull hotel, in a gorgeous setting, withs bags of character. Very friendly reception staff and tasty, fresh food in the restaurant. The room could haven a bit modernised, but i keeping with the overall experiense and setting, that was not an issue. Only thing which really let it down somewhat was some of the inexperienced / unhelpfull staff in the bar and restaurant.

OK, this is a lovely hotel in a lovely setting. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff were generally friendly and helpful. Three minor niggles: 1) While the staff were friendly and helpful, there weren't enough of them. Service in the bar and restaurant varied from slow to non-existent. 2) The car park is too small for the number of guests. 3) On the day I was there, there fire alarm must have gone off at least five times. As the hotel was still standing the next morning I assume this was a fault. So, not perfect, but would I stay there again? Definitely.
