Norton House Hotel & Spa, Edinburgh

O hotel é muito bonito, com uma localização privilegiada, muito bem decorado. Tinha tudo para ser um hotel nota 10, mas o acesso aos quartos é complexo, não há elevadores para todos os andares e apesar do café da manhã ser maravilhoso, ao chegar no hotel vimos alguns ratos circulando próximo da recepção. Possuem apenas uma máquina de café que não atende a quantidade de hóspedes.

A equipe tem um atendimento excelente, mas o hotel não merece uma classificação 4 estrelas. Quarto sem ar condicionado, pequeno.

The chairs outside were filthy and large hamoc/chair broken. Simple, just don't put them out until they are ready. Service/friendliness not great considering the fact you are paying high end rates. Room was luxurious, good was great, spa area was lively - massages skip, paid for 25min and got about 15min for a high price. Basically you pay,for the day,spa + the massage, at,minimum it should have been a full 25min.

Staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. We stayed when an issue with the broiler I believe was having issues so the amenities at the spa were limited. They did offer a free cancellation but we had our trip planned months in advance and to find a hotel stay somewhere else at the last minute would have been pricey and difficult due to a festival that was going on. Very disappointed that the spa was not able to be utilized and they did not offer another type of credit or discount on the price of the stay as they should care very much about the hospitality for their guests. It was a charming hotel but we just did not have the experience we were expecting and hoping for. Because of this, I would not recommend staying there unless you have no other choice.
