Staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooftop terrace was a special treat. We were early for check in but they got us us registered & stored our luggage. We toured the old town for about an hour & our room was ready upon our return.

Hotel Hirsch was amazing! The interior is beautifully decorated. Our check in was very quick. All of the staff members were very friendly and helpful. The included breakfast offered a wide variety of food that would satisfy most people. Our room was clean, and very comfortable. The bathroom had both a bathtub and a separate shower. If you need to wash clothes, there is a washer and dryer in the basement. 4 Euros for wash and 4 Euros for dryer. Our dinner meals in the restaurant were delicious! The menu had a variety of items to choose from. We took a train into Fussen, and the hotel was only about a 5 minute walk from the train station. The main walking street in Fussen is right across the street, with many shops and restaurants. We rented a car while in town and there is free parking available at the hotel. Neuschwanstein Castle is about 10 minutes away by car. I would definitely recommend Hotel Hirsch if you are looking to stay in Fussen.

Hotel Hirsch is an excellent hotel immediately outside the old town walls, less than a five minute walk to the nearby shops and restaurants in Fussen. Access to free parking on site. Hotel restaurant was excellent t for included breakfast. We enjoyed a very good dinner there too.

Everything was great! Breakfast buffet was amazing. We later ate lunch there after visiting the castle. We got there after the desk closed but they left great directions. Parking in front of the hotel was free. Great location.

Loved Hotel Hirsch. We stayed in the main building which doesn't have air conditioning. We were able to open the windows and had a nice breeze to cool off the room. Our room was located at the front of the hotel and there was traffic noise until late, but we were able to adapt by the second night. The breakfast buffet was superb. The restaurant is exceptional. The beer garden and rooftop terrace are cozy.

Clean, bright room in historic building. Reception staff first class, some of the best we have met. Very welcoming and helpful. The room has been completely modernized so is clean and very comfortable. It is a shame that rooms can't maintain a level of the history of a hotel while still providing excellent accomodation. The location is prrfect near the older part of town . We arrived on a very hot day and the room was hard to cool down. With the window open it helped considerably but the road noise became a problem. Parking was easy to access and free. Breakfast was just ok.

When we arrived at the hotel, we were greeted by a charming woman who helped us in English. The room was spotless and very nice. It was a close drive to the castle and the village of Füßen was very cute. We will stay here again!

Amazing stay! Perfect walking distance to everything in Fussen. Less than 10 minute drive to the castle and museum of Bavarian Kings. Breakfast was really good. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful, amazing customer service. Very clean. Lovely views and fabulous rooftop patio!

Nice hotel within walking distance to train station and just opposite the old town area in Fussen with plenty of eating options around. The room was clean and had good heating, and there were extra blankets for the cold night we spent there. Recommended!

Really could not have had a better stay at the Hirsch. EVERYONE from the front desk to wait staff in restaurant were phenomenal. And the whole place was very clean which is extremely important to me. Really a cute, quaint hotel. Would be happy to recommend to anyone.

We loved this hotel! We stayed in the new building and loved the size of our room. The furnishings were modern and well appointed. Loved the heated floors and towel warmer in the bathroom. Great location, very convenient to castles in the area. Parking could be an issue in the busy season but we didn’t have any problems since it was the shoulder season.

The location is good, and enough parking spaces onsite. The room is spacious and well furnished. However, our room is on the 1st floor and there are two ceiling to floor windows on both sides of the wall, facing the streets. When I stood by the windows, I felt derictly facing the people on the streets. There are no sheers on the windows, only heavy sunproof curtains. I had to keep the curtains closed all the time even during the day, in order to avoid people on the streets look into the windows. It was very uncomfortable. Another serious issue is the air conditioning did not work properly. The hotel staff reset the power in our room twice. The air conditioning worked about 20 minutes after the reset, then stopped working. The hotel staff left after 10 pm. We did not have air conditioning for the night , had to open windows several time during night to cold down the room. The breakfast food was so so and the service was slow. We sat at a 4 seats table that 2 people had eaten there. The tale was not cleaned untile we finished eating. The waiter cleaned everything in one time.

Gorgeous hotel that makes you feel like you are stepping back in time. Family quad room had large queen bed, sitting area, and two alcoves with twin beds in them which was great for our kids. Area was safe and walkable and we enjoyed slipping away at night to the attached Biergarten. Breakfast the next morning was amazing, even my kid who usually skips breakfast enjoyed it.

The hotel is gorgeous and the town is beautiful. It is very convenient to visit the castles. Decoration is from the area and it is impeccable. The breakfast was wonderful too. Downsides: room does not have A/C (which luckily was not such a big deal as it was cool), but we cracked the windows open to get the room cooled and we could hear traffic all night. The room is gorgeous though, so if A/C is not an issue for you, this should be fine.

Upscale classic room with great breakfast and the "old town' across the street..........Noisy location on busy road and no AC if you are traveling in the summer.......park out front with short drive to the castle..........If you are traveling to Linderhof Castle the road thru Austria is wonderful.

Most aspects an excellent hotel. Lovely staff who called us to confirm our check in. Nice staff and very comfortable room (except for temp). Restaurant very good for dinner and included breakfast was enjoyable. Unfortunately the room does not have a/c so was a little hot and with no fan our air circulation felt a little “stuffy”. The building itself is amazing, like staying in an art museum ! It was clean and quiet and walking distance to the train. My only problem was the room was very cramped, nice to look at but no place for any piece of luggage. I will learn to travel lighter I guess !!

Bar staff was not welcoming. We were a group of 8 and staff seemed indifferent. Also breakfast staff didnt clear dishes or offer help

Really could not have had a better stay at the Hirsch. EVERYONE from the front desk to wait staff in restaurant were phenomenal. And the whole place was very clean which is extremely important to me. Really a cute, quaint hotel. Would be happy to recommend to anyone.

We truly enjoyed our time at this hotel. It's about a 100 yard walk to the bus that takes you to the castles and the ride is free with the card they give you at the hotel. The breakfast here is the closest to an American style breakfast that we found in Bavaria. The hotel is also right at the edge of the shopping and dining area. Truly a great place to stay.

Hotel Hirsch is an excellent hotel immediately outside the old town walls, less than a five minute walk to the nearby shops and restaurants in Fussen. Access to free parking on site. Hotel restaurant was excellent t for included breakfast. We enjoyed a very good dinner there too.

Nice hotel within walking distance to train station and just opposite the old town area in Fussen with plenty of eating options around. The room was clean and had good heating, and there were extra blankets for the cold night we spent there. Recommended!

Great hotel in the city of Füssen. Right in the center of town. Within walking distance of shopping and amazing restaurants and cafes. Also the gelato is delicious. I would definitely recommend Hotel Hirsch.

We came to tour the castles and this was the perfect spot lace to stay. Great hotel restaurant. Large grocery store right next door. Short walk to train. Very spacious and clean room.

Clean, bright room in historic building. Reception staff first class, some of the best we have met. Very welcoming and helpful. The room has been completely modernized so is clean and very comfortable. It is a shame that rooms can't maintain a level of the history of a hotel while still providing excellent accomodation. The location is prrfect near the older part of town . We arrived on a very hot day and the room was hard to cool down. With the window open it helped considerably but the road noise became a problem. Parking was easy to access and free. Breakfast was just ok.

A wonderful hotel with easy access to the quaint town and castles. The restaurant is open late at night and the service staff were very pleasant and accommodating. The breakfast buffet had everything you could want. One of our favorite hoyels on our 3 week trip to Europe.

Everything was great! Breakfast buffet was amazing. We later ate lunch there after visiting the castle. We got there after the desk closed but they left great directions. Parking in front of the hotel was free. Great location.

Loved Hotel Hirsch. We stayed in the main building which doesn't have air conditioning. We were able to open the windows and had a nice breeze to cool off the room. Our room was located at the front of the hotel and there was traffic noise until late, but we were able to adapt by the second night. The breakfast buffet was superb. The restaurant is exceptional. The beer garden and rooftop terrace are cozy.

This hotel is a gem. The breakfast was fantastic and the restaurant is very popular because the food is great. The rooms are nice, clean and cozy. The hotel is very close to the train station. I would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Füssen. The location is excellent, with easy access to the town, and the included guest pass can be used on the bus to Neuschwanstein Castle, which was very convenient. The rooftop offers a phenomenal view of the Alps and is the perfect place to relax after a day of sightseeing. The only downside, which wasn't mentioned in the hotel description, is that air conditioning is only available in the newer part of the hotel. We stayed in the older section, so the room was quite warm on a few nights. That said, the staff were incredibly kind and quickly brought us a fan, which made a big difference. Overall, we loved our stay and would definitely recommend this hotel.
