Charmigt hus i Les Eyzies

Nous avons eu l'occasion de passer une semaine dans cette maison. Elle a effectivement un certain charme et est vraiment très bien placée, au bord de la Vézère, en plein centre des Eyzies. De nombreuses visites peuvent être faites à pied et beaucoup de sites remarquables se trouvent dans un rayon de 30 minutes de voiture. Les équipements mis à disposition sont nombreux et fonctionnels (machine à laver, aspirateur, grille pain, vrai four et plaque de cuisson au gaz, ...). Quelques bémols cependant qu'il vaut mieux connaitre: La cuisine n'a pas de plan de travail ce qui oblige à préparer le repas sur la table. Les 3 pièces de la maison sont séparées uniquement par un escalier, ce qui ne favorise pas vraiment l'intimité. Comme souvent dans les très vieilles maisons, les planchers du 1er et du 2ème ainsi que l'escalier grincent énormément: si quelqu'un se lève la nuit, tout le monde est réveillé d'autant que les toilettes et la salle de bain sont au 1er étage. La dernière chambre, tout en haut, est un peu compliquée d'accès (attention aux têtes : les poutres sont très basses car elle est sous le toit) et n'a qu'une toute petite fenêtre pour aérer. Le lit double du 1er mériterait d'être changé car le matelas se creuse en son centre: on se sent allongé sur une pente quand on est à deux, ce qui n'est pas très agréable. Bref, une location bien placée mais plutôt adaptée pour 2 personnes que 4, si vous n'êtes pas réveillé quand le plancher grince.

Das Ferienhäuschen ist in zentraler Lage von Les Eyzies aber trotzdem direkt an der Vezere gelegen und ist gemütlich eingerichtet. Im kleinen Hof mit schönen Rosensträuchern kann man den Tag gemütlich ausklingen lassen. Wir haben uns dort mit unserem Hund sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin lief problemlos.

Un buen sitio, para alojarse , lo mejor el jardincillo que tiene, es ideal para pasar buenos ratos.

Das kleine Haus ist ein Anbau an ein größeres Gebäude, das heute ein Hotel ist. Liegt direkt an der Vezere, daher ruhig und naturnah. Eignet sich als Ausgangspunkt für einen Urlaub in inmitten der Menschheitsgeschichte um prähistorische Höhlen zu besichtigen, das Museum vor Ort, aber auch um die Natur zu genießen. Das Haus wirkt auch im Inneren wie aus der ersten Hälfte des letzten Jahrhunderts, verfügt aber moderne Geräte. Klimaanlage ist auch bei Außentemperaturen von über 35 nicht nötig. Wir fanden es gut, unser Hund hatte sich auch schnell eingelebt. Danke für die freundliche Kommunikation mit Lilliane. Ingo und Claudia

Was disappointed that the washer was not working that was why we booked. Had to make our bed when we arrived and hunt out the towels. Site also listed bbq on-site and it was rusted and nor sure it was useable. Yard is lovely but right below a hotel patio.

Great situation next to the river with a lovely, private couryard and convenient parking space.

We loved the location with good restaurants, the Prehistoric Museum and a park just steps away. Our only complaint was “no Wi-Fi”, but they have a new washing machine. There is also a dedicated parking spot for the house.

Amazing location; on one side the beautiful Vezere River with a grassy promenade, on the other a short walk past two restaurants up to the main street, with a bakery on one side and the prehistory museum across the street. The house is charming; it is small but the rooms are spacious. We loved the private courtyard. The kitchen was small but had everything we needed. Plenty of hot water, plenty of towels. The hosts were extremely responsive to my questions. We felt fortunate to stay there. It was perfect for the two of us, a mother and adult daughter. We thought it beautiful and had a wonderful and comfortable stay.

La maison est très agréable à vivre, bien décorée et les lits sont confortables. La situation au coeur du village et en bord de rivière est idéale. La place de parking dédiée est un vrai plus.

Sehr gut , die Lage der Wohnung könnte nicht besser Sein. Es fehlte am fast nichts, Außer eine große Tasse für Kaffee wäre nicht schlecht. Die Beschreibung der Wohnung war exakt der kleine Vorgarten hervorragend. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Lieben Dank fertig

Great little house, just right for us. Peaceful location but near to facilities. Spotlessly clean, well equipped and plenty of towels and sheets. The host Liliane was most attentive and gave us good suggestions for an outing.

Situation top, tout prés de la Vézère, départ de balades pédestres. Petit bémol quant à la qualité du couchage. La cour ensoleillée et bien aménagée est très appréciable !

Maison idéalement située au cœur du village. Permettant de pouvoir limiter les trajets en voiture. Seul bémol, chambre difficile d’accès si l’un des occupants est très grand.

Excellente situation pour rayonner dans la region. Endroit calme. La maison typique de la region est tres bien décorée. Petit hic : la très petite cuisine et l'agencement de la vaisselle si on aime cuisiner. Par ces fortes chaleurs, nous avons pu apprécier la fraicheur de la maison.

Fantastically located house in middle of Les Eyzies. Next to river with east access to restaurants. House is simple but comfortable enough. Note no internet.

Liliane’s house is in the perfect location….across from the river and near by the town square and the center of town . It is quiet with a lovely rose filled garden and a hedge of honeysuckle. The furniture is all French country and there are nice shuttered windows. Liliane was lovely. She greeted us and she was so nice as to drop us at the hotel with all of our baggage. We had to go to the hotel because I didn’t realize we had an extra day in Les Eyzies. The house was already filled the next day. Although Liliane spoke little English and I spoke little French we were able to communicate so I would highly recommend to stay here.

Wij hebben een geweldige week gehad. Het huis ligt aan de place de Mairie en ook direct aan de rivier in een prachtig stuk van de Dordogne. Toegang tot de zolder was wat krap en alleen toilet boven in de badkamer. Komen zeker graag terug op deze plek

Nous avons adorer habiter dans cette maison, qui est vraiment sympa et où on profite d'une location parfaite! Rien à dire. En plus Lilliane et Gilles sont adorables.

The accommodation was situated on the river, near all the shops and the excellent museum of prehistory.. It was very calm and peaceful. Communication with the hostess was clear and easy.

Jolie petite maison au bord de la Vézère. Une courette trop mignonne. Très bien située (sites historiques, restaurants... très proches). Un séjour très agréable. Adresse vivement recommandée.

Great apartment, well appointed, in a terrific location to enjoy the interesting town of Les Eyzies. I will definitely stay again.
