Pool closed for renovations which wasn’t advertised at time of booking. Terribly LOUD music from nearby Cali Beach Club blasting till 1am - couldn’t sleep even with doors closed. Housekeeping didn’t come till late in the afternoon which was inconvenient as I like to go back to the room after lunch. Will never stay there again.

Parking was unsecured and limited on a first come basis. There is no lift from the carpark to reception so unload out the front to save carrying up a huge flight of stairs.

Disappointing and Deceptive Experience We were highly disappointed with our stay due to several issues that could have been easily avoided with better communication and service. First, the parking fee advertised in the booking confirmation email was $15 per night. Upon arrival, we were informed it had suddenly increased to $20 per night with no prior notice. Second, the property clearly advertised spa facilities, which were mentioned in the confirmation email, on signs in the reception and lobby, and even on level 4 where they were supposedly located. However, when multiple guests, including ourselves, attempted to use the spas, they didn’t seem functional. After much confusion, we went to the lobby for clarification. A staff member dismissively told us the spas had been rebranded as “plunge pools” and directed us to read a sign by the pool entrance. To our surprise, the “sign” was simply a blank laminated paper with the words “plunge pools” on it—no explanation, no apology, and certainly no mention of this change anywhere else. This felt incredibly deceptive, especially since the advertisement acknowledged the pool closure but reassured guests that the spas were available as an alternative. The accommodations themselves left much to be desired. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, with one side having a spring that dug into your back, making sleep difficult. The amenities were also lackluster for the price—our room only had a basic kettle and a fridge.

The driveway was chaotic with cars blocking access, and I had to wait over 25 minutes just to check in and unload. The entire south side of the hotel overlooks a nightclub, which wasn’t disclosed on Wotif, making it very noisy at night. The car park has no direct lift access and involves multiple stairs, so unload luggage at check-in. Rooms were okay but carpets definitely need a deep clean.

It was in easy walking distance to our venues. Didn’t like the fact you had to pay extra for parking $20 per day, but our car wouldn’t fit under so we had to go to the public car park across the road which was $8.70 from 7am to 7pm. Had to get up before 7am to pay more for next day’s parking, or risk a fine. There appeared to be only one trolley to take all your luggage up to your room or make multiple trips. I would stay again if I had something in Surfers Paradise to attend, the light rail was across the street. Small handy market on the corner & a bottle shop just around the corner. The buffet breakfast was good value

Room was nice and staff were friendly and helpful. Expect some construction noise on weekdays while the newest Meriton Tower goes up. There’s no pool and no sign that the spa deck will be reopening anytime soon, but the beach is a short walk away. The gym is also very basic. It only has a few machines and a water cooler but no cups. It doesn’t even have hotel WiFi. Definitely room for improvement there.

The staff at reception and at the breakfast area were lovey. The room I checked into was absolutely PUTRID DIRTY. Cockroach on floor Extreme dust build up in Ac vents and corners of room Hair on bed sheets Little bed bugs on bed sheets Curtains were covered in stains Lamp shades were disgusting Telephone wasnt working and had dust all over it. The most unclean hotel ive evee seen. I complained and they gave me a different room. The new room was better but still not great. The staff again were lovely and helped me change room's but boy.... those cleaners need to be sacked.

The room smelt like wet carpet, it was terrible. Balcony door had mold on it and wouldn't open to let air in and the smell out. Staff weren't helpful with the wifi. Couldn't link my accor account as booked through expedia. Had to ask for clean towels. Felt more like a three star not a four star hotel. Definitely wont be staying there again.

I consider this place ‘budget priced’ for the area. And it came with ‘budget priced’ issues. Like mould in little areas of the shower and vents covered in dust. I accidently seen the corner of the mattress untucking the sheet and I was too scared to look fully. But the location and service was good

This property was on the more affordable side for Gold Coast. The room was spacious and there was a nice ocean view. However, the property is dated, there was obvious mould in the bathroom, damage around the priperty, power plugs worked intermittently and a lot of internal construction. Would have been better paying a little more money for a much better property.

Long queue at the check-in, waited for over 30 minutes to get the room key. The toilet has a smell. Loud knocking noise periodically, couldn't sleep well. Stain on bed sheet. No bath tub in the bathroom.

Room was dirty someones dirty sock was left behind the bin a dirty face cloth was up in cupboard next to blankets a bogger was on the glass that was also not clean and there was hair in the bath no pool in surfers is unexceptable tv didnt work and glasses were dirty also parking an additional fee 20 paid nearly 500for a disgrace

The hotel is fine. Expensive given how run down it is. Friends staying in another room couldn't get home water and had to move 3 times before giving up and checking out. My room had a carpet that was ripped. No blanket on bed. Hallway outside room was quite noisy.

room had faulty door seal which rattled with the wind, poor seal caused whistling noise.when we asked to change rooms so we could sleep the reply at first was poor and when the manager come out it was fixed very quickly but needs to not use the terms your only here for one night.

Hotel is very dated, however the room was clean. Thin sheet and blanket on the bed would have been nice for a thicker blanket and better pillows. Location is perfect close to beach, Cavill Ave and the light rail.

We loved our stay. Only concern was that it took over an hour to check in- staff were great and apologetic, it was just a long wait to get served and that made for a lot of wasted time on a quick overnight getaway.

The property was in a great location but unfortunately the room was disappointing. It was adequate for a night’s stay but was in desperate need for an upgrade. The check in process was extremely inefficient - we waited forever to get to the front of the building with all the cars waiting, and when we finally managed to get inside the check-in queue was out the door. It took 40 minutes in the queue for a 5 minute check-in. Staff were lovely, but the system clearly needs reviewing. When we got to the room we needed to contact reception and the phone repeatedly rang out. The experience put a damper on our weekend and was enough for us to decide we wouldn’t stay there again.

Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Easy check in, room was ready early and we were able to check in early. Buffet breaky option available and reasonably priced. We loved sitting out on the deck while we had breakfast. Lifts are fast and efficient, no long waits. Our room on level 5 had construction work blocking our view, but overall still enjoyed our stay.

The back door to the balcony was very hard to open every time it seemed to be stuck closed. The carpark lift was out of order so we had to walk all our luggage up a ramp shared with cars which was dangerous to get to the car. I was told this was a council owned carpark so not really the motels fault but very inconvenient. We returned to our room after a day out but had to wait outside as house keeping were in the room at 3pm. We were given a free room upgrade by management which was wonderful and all the staff were so lovely and great to deal with. Will return again

Easily the worst ran hotel I’ve ever stayed at. First reception lied and said they were all booked up and then I went online and booked a room in front of her face. We were only given one key card between multiple people. The wifi isn’t connectable and the music from outside is so loud it sounds as if it is in your room. If I could give negative stars I would. I strongly recommend picking somewhere else to stay

Easily the worst ran hotel I’ve ever stayed at. First reception lied and said they were all booked up and then I went online and booked a room in front of her face. Very close to the beach and the town can have lots of fun being Close to night life in the town with easy access to everything. Specially all staff are professional, kind and efficient and very helpful.

Zero stars wouldn’t even come close. The service was absolutely disgusting from the moment we checked in. We had no towels, the room was clearly rushed and not properly cleaned, and the sliding balcony door was almost impossible to open or close. At 2am we had to call the manager, and even he couldn’t fix it. At 2am he wanted to move us to another room We reported this issue twice to the day manager, who had the nerve to call me “the most difficult customer,” instead of taking responsibility for their own failure. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. No gym no pool

Good location, walking distance to all in surfers paradise. Rooms are basic, but what I expected for the rate. The only problem was our room overlooked Cali beach nightclub and the noise was awful. I wish I had known as I would never have booked there or at least had the option of moving to the other side of the building. If that is what you are going for great, but not good for families.

The room was neat and tidy, tv did not work but was fixed within the hour, we were woken at 525am by an alarm system. It’s extremely noisy if you’re facing south on a weekend. Breakfast was disappointing, powdered eggs and not much of a variety, definitely not worth $33

Excellent check-in and good service for the breakfast buffet, which had something for everyone. I loved that I could get eggs made to order, and that the other hot dishes gave a wide choice. The location was great. A short walk to the beach and to nearby restaurants but quiet. The only negative was the state of the wardrobe which was damaged and peeling paint.

Mantra on View has had a few name changes over the years so is showing its age somewhat. Its not five star but is clean and in a great location which is good because there is no Mini Bar, Restuarant or Room Service. It does have Fox tel which is very few and far between these days. The rooms are spacious and amazing views. Id recommend this for the location but due to lack of facilities, a little high on the cost side.

Rooms was dated, old and needed a good clean. Staff were cold and not forthcoming with information. Breakfast was cold with little variety. Noise from local nightclub was terrible and unable to sleep until nightclub closed.

Not great. Partial refund for one night and did assist with parking after giving advice we could park in Cypress Avenue carpark and pay at the end of the stay - and got a $115 ticket. Manager was excellent but its an old hotel and rooms needs a refurb

Don't stay if you want to sleep! Not sound proof. Roomed next too drunken young adults cause so much noise and fighting, running up and down the hall, banging doors and smoking weed. The smell went straight through to our room next door. Security was called 3 times just for the security to say "stop doing that", with no real authority or penalty for noise disturbence or the smoking. This went on through to the early hours in the morning. No duvet for the beds. 2 bed room with 3 people staying. Was given 2 towels only and 1 extra pillow. Very disappointing stay at the mantra onview for our family holiday.

When booking the hotel, it did NOT mention there was no pool or spa. These are the type of things my family enjoy which was very disappointing. For this reason, I will not be returning.
